Sunday 1/31, Before getting out of bed I finished “Next Stop Wonderland”. Ehhh. I napped, worked, watched The Overnight, watched Bed of Roses, worked a little more. I did a lot less working than napping and watching movies. Before bed I watched Stepford Wives.
Saturday 1/30, I was up early because Eric had to work and Twinkles was going home. I got everything settled then Twinkles went home. I worked for a bit until Kass and Aubrie came over in the early afternoon. Kass left and I took Aubrie to the airport. Wish she could have stayed longer. Back at home I listened to stand up while I worked for part of the evening to catch up. Eric came home and we watched a little tv and talked; took it easy. I worked until 10 I think.
Friday 1/29, I skipped work to spend time with Aubrie and get ready to go out that night. On the way home Aubrie called me trying to figure out how to work my shower, which had us both in stitches. When I got home we just had a big salad and went to the Rack and DSW to find shoes. I got a couple pair and Aubs found a pair for the evening. Back at home Bruce dropped off Dexter for a long weekend. I showered and we both started getting ready for the evening in Seattle with Kass’ friends and cousin Hailey. We hung at Kassie’s for a long time, eating and getting ready. Finally after 9:00 we headed to dinner at some new steakhouse by SU, but I don’t remember the name. We had a long dinner and everything was fantastic. It was a rowdy crowd and one of the chefs kept sending over appetizers and champagne. So we took some pictures with him and our waiter who was very patient. I had to be up early the next day so I threw in the towel while the rest of the girls all went dancing at R Place. At home Eric and I talked for a few minutes then went to bed. It was almost 1.
Thursday 1/28, I came home for lunch and Eric made us delicious grilled cheese sandwiches. I took Aubrie in to CKC with me and worked for a couple hours then headed back home. We told Kassie to come over when she was done. When we got home we watched Far From the Madding Crowd and it was giving Aubrie heartburn, but the ending was the payoff she was looking for. Kass arrived right before the end and after it was over we went over to Kukai for dinner and Alissa met us over there. We all got the tonkatsu and had the pork belly buns to start. Dinner was fun with an Italian guy who had a Jamaican accent. We went back to the house and colored and talked until it was time for Alissa to pick up JJ. Kassie stayed a little while longer then headed home. Aubrie and I were pretty tired so I showered and we both went to bed.
Wednesday 1/27, After work I came home and cleaned and went to the store and talked to the girls to make plans for the evening. I worked for a little until Eric got home from therapy. He started dinner and Kass and Aubs arrived around 7. We snacked in the kitchen and talked then got out the coloring books and took over the dining room table. Sky arrived and kept Eric company in the kitchen. We didn’t get to bed until after midnight.
Tuesday 1/26, I went down to CKC and worked there for a while until my meeting with Sky at Roadway. Kass and Aubs were at CKC so we caravanned over to Roadway. I went over everything with Sky and I was there until after 6:00. Kass was taking Aubrie to some Nat Geo event so I was on my own for the night. I think I worked for Peggy when I got home. Got the dogs situated and took it easy for the rest of the night.
Monday 1/25, I took the afternoon off to hang out with Kass and Aubs. We met at PacGal and I found some stools I liked but didn’t buy. The whole back area where the auctions used to be is all changed and a fabulous space. Next we went to lunch at the Mexican place in Pioneer Square and stuffed ourselves. We went to Nordstrom to get Aubrie a couple bras and lipstick for Kassie. Back to PacGal where Aubrie bought a necklace and I went home. I fed the dogs then worked for a while until X-Files started. It was a good episode. I talked to Susan afterward until Eric got home. We talked for a while and I worked for a few more minutes then went to bed.
Sunday 1/24, I was up and did the home visit form and a few other things until it was time for Justin and Mailen to pick up the girls. We talked for a while and they met Twinkles who they both liked. I called Kass afterward and we decided I’d see them the next day since the freeway was closed and I didn’t want to sit in traffic all day. I relaxed and watched a movie in bed. It was nice to be down to 4 dogs. Eric was home at normal Sunday time and I filled him in on my day. Went to bed.
Saturday 1/23, I was awake early because Eric brought the dogs in. I let Jess sleep longer and did a few things until about 9:30. We got ready and headed down to Lil’ Jon’s for breakfast. I saw Sandy and Bill and said hi. We had a nice breakfast then back home to hang out for a few minutes. She left and I packed up Twinkles for the long drive to Silverdale for her home visit. The HV went well though I was wishing it would have been a little less scattered. We jammed home and Eric already had the dogs situated since we were going to Sky and Chrystol’s for dinner. Eric got a bunch of food to take over and after I showered we headed over. We had a really nice evening with them and left around 10.
Friday 1/22, Spent time with Eric watching a movie until Genie called about Twinkles’ app. It went about how we both expected so I emailed the app and set up a time to meet the next day. I eventually got dressed and ready for the night out with Jess in Fremont. I couldn’t wait to eat so I had a couple pieces of pizza. I met with Jess and Megs at Star or something. We talked and ate then Jess and I went to PCC to kill some time until the show started at 11:30. The show was fun and there was a super drunk guy in the front and then up on the stage. It was over by 12:30 so we said our goodbyes then she followed me home. We stayed up watching youtube videos until 2:30.
Thursday 1/21, I may have gone down to CKC. I don’t remember.
Wednesday 1/20, When I got home Eric was cleaning. We watched a little of the terrible movie I’d been watching the night before (Slightly Single in LA) and he was dying because it was so bad. He left to go to a meeting and I finished the bad movie. I put on Wolfpack and that was much better but so emotionally draining. I got ready for bed and updated this.
Tuesday 1/19, Worked for a little bit when I got home then got the dogs situated and had some leftovers. I watched the rest of Far From the Madding Crowd while I worked some more. I wrote up Twinkles’ long bio and got that sent out which was a huge relief. When Eric got home we talked for a while then I watched a movie for a few minutes before falling asleep.
Monday 1/18, I didn’t go into CKC and instead went and met Susan and Jon for lunch. We had a really nice time and did some catching up and had the lunch special at Szechuan Chef. We made plans for X-Files and a sleepover. I went home and worked a little but fell asleep. I was so exhausted. I woke up and fed the dogs then got back to work. I took a break to run to the store then back to work. I watched Far From the Madding Crowd because it was in the dvd player and I didn’t feel like going and getting another movie. Eric was home late and we talked about his day volunteering at the Cougar Mtn Zoo. I showered and got into bed and did a little updating of this.
Sunday 1/17, We got up and did a few things then Eric was out the door to work while I got dressed and headed to an estate sale in Newcastle (on the golf course) that looked over the top. When I got there the line was like 25 people long and I thought it would go fairly quickly. Well, I was very wrong. I stood in line for an hour and 45 minutes and it was raining the entire time! I met three ladies, however, that made the wait much more bearable. Once we got in it was just insane the amount of stuff and how high end it was. Every designer shoe brand you could imagine and just stacks and stacks of boxes with receipts. $1,200 shoes (never worn) for $180. It was like a candy store. I stocked up on designer dog blankets and beds, got a couple human blankets, a bunch of cds (Depeche Mode, SP, Brian Ferry, etc), and a book. When I found Kim in an upstairs room she informed me that it must have been a whore house and once she said that it all made sense. The 15 sets of the exact same sheet and comforter sets in each of the six bedrooms, even though the former owner was apparently a woman who lived alone. There were also industrial sized fridge and freezers in the garage, a hundred+ leather heels, the boas and masks, a range of different sized bras and jeans. It was so crazy. In the checkout line Kim and I were talking some more and another girl chimed in and said the woman was an internist and had died of a prescription drug overdose. Once I thought more about it she was probably going to get busted by the authorities and took her own life. Or maybe she was just into group sex parties. Anyway, I headed home and it was already noon. I worked for a bit then went to the mall to exchange my mascara as well as pick up some gifts for the white elephant party. At home I got ready for the party and once Eric got home from work we took off. It was the CKC holiday party and there were a lot of people there. We ate and socialized and then the gift exchange started. I ended up with some sailor salt and pepper shakers. We left around 11 and we were both not looking forward to the next day’s work.
Saturday 1/16, I was up early because I couldn’t sleep. Eric left to go to a meeting and I started working. When he got back he made me breakfast. I did some things around the house and out in the yard then inside to work and watched Elizabeth. Then I watched the second one but had to turn it off to get ready to go to my movie with Kristel. We got there early so we could catch up since it’s been since Plain that we’d seen each other. We both really liked the movie even though RG had really bad hair. When it was over we talked for a little while then promised to do it again soon. I went home and Eric had just gotten home and we filled each other in on our respective days. I couldn’t stay up for SNL since I hadn’t gotten my nap in earlier.
Friday 1/15, Went down to CKC to work with Susie and stayed until almost 4, went home and did some more work. Relaxed for the evening. Kristel and I were supposed to see The Big Short but she wasn’t feeling well so we rescheduled. I think I watched a movie and relaxed.
Thursday 1/14, Eric had the day off so he was home when I got there. I had some leftover pasta, worked a little bit, showered, etc. I had a massage with Corey at 8:00 and that was very good as always. At home Eric gave me a hard time. I worked for a little bit then went to bed.
Wednesday 1/13, Texted with RH Eric, Eric came home and made dinner; delicious pasta with egg noodles. I probably worked for part of the evening and folded laundry; that kind of stuff.
Tuesday 1/12, I went into CKC again and didn’t stay as long and ended up going home earlier to avoid traffic. Worked from home for part of the evening. Maybe worked on my other job stuff, too. I don’t remember.
Monday 1/11, I went down to CKC to work and I can’t remember how long I was there. I think I left late and sat in traffic forever. Bad mood city. I don’t remember the rest of the night but I probably watched a movie or Kimmy Schmidt or something.
Sunday 1/10, I got up around 8 and we both started getting stuff done. I cleaned up the kitchen while Eric started breakfast. I started washing blankets and bedding and worked on stuff for my taxes. We ate our breakfast while we got ready for the game to start. I didn’t watch any of it and instead did some bathroom cleaning and hand washed some clothes. I took off to run some errands and hit Sephora for mascara, Super Supplements for toothpaste, and the GO for a few items. Back home I kept going on my finance stuff and Eric was ecstatic that the Seahawks won. We took a nap on the couch with most of the dogs. I got up at 4 because it was time to go pick up our new foster, Twinkles. We got down to FW just as the dogs arrived. Our new girl is super sweet and Janell’s Seuss is a super big boy. Back at home we did introductions and I got T to go to the bathroom outside. We bathed all the dogs and clipped their nails. Eric heated up some dinner for me and we watched a couple episodes of that Jason Schwartzman show. We got ready for bed and I updated this. Little Twinkles is a super good girl.
Saturday 1/9, I got to sleep in. Instead of getting up I watched “Sleeping Beauty” (not the Disney one) and got about halfway through it before I needed to get up and ready to work at Kass’ shop. Eric helped me make my lunch then I took off the long way around since 90W was down to one lane. When I got there I parked behind the building and got the doors unlocked and alarm off. I called Alissa so she could walk me through everything so that was good. I opened up the door and people came in right away. There was quite a bit of traffic all day and I sold two things so that was good. I managed to work on my CKC project and finished it up. I closed everything up at 5 and headed home. I realized I left one of the heaters on and started to panic, and as I’m writing this I realize I also forgot to bring in her sidewalk sign. Oops. I went to the store to pick up my meds before going home and talked to Kass who said the heater was fine. At home I fed the dogs and sat down to finish my movie. I uploaded some documents to the teamwork site then sent CA an email about what I’d done. I talked to Susan for a long time and we got all caught up with her adventures in home ownership. When we hung up I may have watched another movie; I don’t remember. After Eric got home we talked in the living room but I was tired again. I went to bed at 11:30.
Friday 1/8, Worked on my CKC project from P’s again since Susie postponed our meeting until Monday. I got a lot done. I also got a text from Alissa asking if I could cover the shop the next day. I found out later it’s because they were all skiing and she wanted to stay longer. I told her yes, but I really didn’t want to. Dad and Mom cancelled Alix’s birthday dinner since they were both sick. I was relieved and excited to go home. I didn’t do any work and instead watched a movie (Making of a Lady, or something). Eric and I talked when he got home but I was so tired I went to bed soon after.
Thursday 1/7, I worked on my CKC project at P’s and was glad not to do the commute. I stayed until 4 then headed home and Eric was already working on dinner. He was making some veggie pasta and when it was done it was so good. I gave it a 10. I take it back, there was bacon in it so it wasn’t veggie. It was fantastic. I don’t remember if we watched something or what. He left for his meeting and I did a little work. I think I watched another movie.
Wednesday 1/6, Stayed a little later at CKC, though when everyone left and CA wasn’t even there, I left at a quarter to 4. I don’t remember what I did when I got home. I may have just relaxed or worked a little. I started watching a movie (Little Death?) and halfway through Mailen arrived up with the pups for the next 2.5 weeks. We talked for a long time then she left and I settled back down to watch my movie. When Eric got home we chatted about the dogs and they were happy to see him. Not sure what time I went to bed but the girls slept with Eric and our dogs with me.
Tuesday 1/5, Worked at CKC and making progress, I think. I was home a little after 4 and showered and sat down to do some work. I had a hard time getting started. Talked to both Dad and Peggy then tried again. I worked off and on throughout the night, finally getting some work done. Called it quits at 8 and got into bed.
Monday 1/4, I got a shitty night’s sleep so I was super tired for a good part of the day. My first part-time day at the office then drove down to Roadway for my new gig. I wasn’t there all that long so when I came home I did some work but fell asleep on the couch. When I got up I fixed dinner for the dogs and myself and got back to work. I got through the first piece of MMJ legislation and have two more to go. I folded laundry and cleaned up the dishes then updated this and did some work for P. I had a headache so I was in bed early.
Sunday 1/3, I slept okay, not great. Jessica and Seb were awake but still in bed. Day made breakfast and we all ate too much again. Jess finished putting the xmas stuff away and I left for home around noon. It was snowing like crazy almost all the way back to the eastside. At home I did laundry and worked for the afternoon. I wanted to get my project done but didn’t want to actually work. I got a text from Sky saying he wanted to have me start on a budget project and to meet him at Roadway the next day. I was excited and felt like a huge weight was lifted. I cleaned up the kitchen and did some other things around the house. Eric was home by 8; I can’t remember if he made dinner or if I ate something earlier. I told him about working pt and he was happy for me and was like “I told you so”. I went to bed nervous and had lots of things on my mind.
Saturday 1/2, I woke up and finished up my project and sent it off to CA and Sky. I got dressed and packed and headed north to see Jessica. I made it there in time for breakfast. Seb had arrived after Christmas so we talked about what they’d been doing. Jess and I ran to the little store to grab a few things for breakfast. Back at home we had breakfast and watched Austenland which Jess and Day both liked. Jess wanted to watch Reign since I haven’t seen it. All the xmas décor came down and Jess and Seb were going around putting stuff away. After that we went in the hot tub which felt great because it was so fricken freezing outside. We ordered pizza for dinner and it was a little bit of a disappointment. Luckily we went and got ice cream for dessert. We got ready for bed and watched Interview before going to sleep. I think it was about midnight.
Friday 1/1, We got up and Eric was out and walking and getting stuff from the store. I watched a movie in bed. When he got back we mixed things up. We watched a few more episodes of that show when we heard from Sky and Chrystol that they were up for hanging out. We got ready and headed out. We spent a lot of time visiting then took off for Golden Gardens. Everything was frozen and it was chilly. We had a nice time visiting and back at their house we ordered food and when the boys went to go get it Chrystol asked me how things are going and we dished on all that. We ate our dinner and ended up leaving around 7 maybe, since we knew baby Hojo was ready for some food and a nap. Back at home I worked because I wanted to get a project done and out by the next day.
Thursday 12/31, Got some texts from Sky mid-day asking for help on setting an LLC / Corp, though we didn’t make the deadline. When I got home I did a few things around the house and fed the dogs. Eric came home then took off right away for a meeting. I showered and did some work while watching Far From the Madding Crowd. We watched a couple episodes of some Jason Schwartzman show that was pretty funny. I was tired and didn’t want to stay up for midnight so I went to bed at 11 and was awoken by the dogs barking at the fireworks.
Wednesday 12/30, I got home from work and unpacked and showered. Sky had some questions so I did some research and got back to him. I didn’t do much for the rest of the night. Eric and I had a conversation when he got home and went to bed just fine. Had a dream with RG that was very nice.
Tuesday 12/29, Eric and I were up and packing our bags to head home. For lunch we went to Horny toad and Kass was less than impressed. On our way to the airport we went to the Vans store to exchange some shoes. Next stop was the airport to head home. I don’t remember what time we got home but I think Kass dropped off Eric and I at Mom’s to pick up our car. I’m sure we weren’t up late.
Monday 12/28, We all had a nice breakfast and just hung around. Eric was tired so he went back to bed. The rest of us wanted to go for a walk. I had something to eat then a big group of us went on a hike. I graced everyone with my nature tour and Kass posted a funny picture on IG. Later in the day Mom, Aub, Lish, Eric, and me set off for the Nordstrom “Last Chance” store which was so hilarious because it doesn’t say Nordstrom anywhere on the store and for good reason. That place is pretty dumpy. I did get some basic black heels for $15 though, so that was good. Aubrie scored the most treasures and did a fashion show. We had French dip sandwiches for dinner and we all oohed and ahhed. The boys put on Mission Impossible but I didn’t want to watch so I went in the bedroom and ended up falling asleep. It was like 8. Eric came to bed at 10 and I woke up so I watched If I Were You until midnight. I had a nice night’s sleep.
Sunday 12/27, Eric and I were up early and out of the house for our tour. I was tired and had something in my eye so I was irritable. It was freezing when we got there but the grounds of Taliesin are gorgeous. We had the architecture tour first and that was very interesting. I liked how intimate the spaces were and my favorite was on the backside of the living room and the bedrooms. The next tour was the desert walk tour and we learned all about the plant life on the grounds, as well as got to see the student-build / maintained houses / structures. We had a German lady as our guide and Eric knew just how to handle her from experience. We left around 1:00 back to Mom and Dad’s and stopped at the store on the way for stuff for Kass. When we got back Mom and Kass were making food and getting ready for the Seahawks game. I spent some time that evening coloring and stuffing my face. Mom and Alishia went for a walk but when they weren’t back by dusk we started to worry and Dad set off on the bike, while Aubrie and Christian went out on foot. Kass and I stayed with the baby and Pete was out sleeping, and didn’t really care when he heard. They finally made it back after Dad found them; they’d gotten turned around and neither had their phone. Later in the evening we played trivial pursuit and the girls won again. We all split off for bed after we finished the game.
Saturday 12/26, Eric woke me up way too early at like 8:30 to go on a hike. I was in a bad mood. I ate a little something then got ready. We waited for a while for Alishia but eventually took off just the two of us because I didn’t want to wait anymore. We did a nice hike and when I got back I didn’t feel guilty about having two pancakes. Aubrie had a gooey one so we both had pancake dippers. We lounged around for a good part of the day and I finally showered and put on some real clothes. I tried to take a nap but Eric woke me up again. That put me in a bad mood again. We had an early ham dinner so that Mom and Dad could take Papa home. While they were gone we broke out the Cards Against Humanity and that was pretty hilarious. When Mom and Dad came home we quickly put it away. Dad made a ton of popcorn and we sat on the couch and watched football, probably. Eric and I went to bed earlier than everyone else because we had the Frank Lloyd Wright Taliesin tour early the next morning.
Friday 12/25, We were up before 8 and finished getting the house ready. I showered, packed, etc and we were out of the house a little after 9 with all of our gear. Kass was only 30+ minutes late this year; and still managed to miss the fighting between Mom, Dad, Jake, and Alix. The morning ended up better after that and it turned out to be a nice morning. The four of us and Dad took off for the airport at 1:00. We made good time and managed to make it through security despite the N Gates checkpoint closing down while we were in line and a TSA agent who wouldn’t let Eric go through security with us because he isn’t MVP. We got it squared away, though. We went to the gate and got a snack before it was time to board. On the plane I got a message from LPC saying he’d seen me in the security line and that he almost got the same hat as Eric. I told him he should have said hi. We were about to take off when this guy in first class passed out and wasn’t responsive. It happened again after he came to, but by the time the paramedics arrived they told him he couldn’t fly and he was taken off. His family stayed on the flight! Ouch. It went pretty quickly and I got through several magazines. When we landed we got our bags and waited for Dad who had just picked up Aubs and Christian. Poor Christian’s hands and wrists. We hauled ass home since we were all hungry and dinner was served shortly after. It was nice to see everyone and we took turns holding the baby. We had a great dinner then waited while there was some clean up. Finally it was present time and that took until like 11. We ended up staying up until 2 am with talking and more eating.
Thursday 12/24, Eric was up and out of the house before 6:00 for a long day at work. I managed to fall back asleep and didn’t wake up until 8:30. I fed the dogs, ate breakfast, then started in on all the stuff I wanted to get done: laundry, changed bedding, vacuumed, cleaned up the kitchen, got toilet paper, did a deposit, got mashed potato fixins, wrapped presents, washed blankets, and lastly sat down to finish my CKC project and sent it off to Sky and Chris. Eric arrived home and we started in on making the potatoes for dinner, then I showered and we took off for Mom’s. We were the first to arrive but soon people showed up. Eric left at 6:45 to go to a meeting and shortly after we all ate dinner. It was a very nice evening. Found out Jake and Alix aren’t coming on our family trip after all. We left at 9:30 and when I got home I put a few things away, did some packing, changed my sheets, and got into bed. I updated this then turned in at 11.
Wednesday 12/23, At home I did a few things then finished watching Quills. I worked on my CKC project until after Eric got home and went to bed. When I got into bed I wasn’t sleepy so I watched Cairo Time then went to sleep. It was 12:30.
Tuesday 12/22, When I got home I finished watching About Alex then got to work on my CKC project and made some good headway. When Eric got home I put it away and we talked for a little while. Went to bed before 11.
Monday 12/21, I showered then called Mom to wish her a happy birthday. Jessica arrived and we talked for a half hour or so then took off for dinner. We decided to do Kukai and really stuffed ourselves. We talked and talked. It was nice. We went to Whole Foods after and each got a little sweet treat. After we got back she took off for the airport to pick up her Deutsche friends. I got ready for bed. When Eric got home we talked for a while about our days then went to bed.
Sunday 12/20, Eric was out of the house before 7 to go to a meeting in Fremont. I watched Your Sister’s Sister in bed then got up and ready since we were seeing Spectre at 10. We went to the Factoria theater which has totally been redone and had reclining seats and wide aisles and everything. It is so much better and smells brand new! I liked the movie; Eric wasn’t as crazy about the ending and thought it was too predictable. At home he watched the game while I went through a magazine and watched “Do I Sound Gay?”, though I fell asleep half-way through. When I woke up I finished it. Worked on my tax prep stuff while Eric made dinner. For the rest of the evening I updated this and did a few things online.
Saturday 12/19, Eric was up and out of the house early to go to a meeting. I kept going on my cds and updating my ipod. I had a phone date with Sos at 10:30 and we caught up and I filled her in on stuff. Eric came home and we all chatted together for a few minutes. I kept going on my project and eventually sat down to work. Eric left to go to work and I spent the next few hours trying to get something on paper and out to Sky and Chris. I showered and got ready for the evening’s party and headed over by 6:30. I mainly hung out in the living room since there were a lot of people there. I spent time talking to Rick, Claude, Becky, Eyal, Sky, Kass. Kass and crew had an awards thing to go to for CKC so they took off around 8:30 and Eric arrived about an hour later. Recommended Olympic PT to Eyal and talked about his prognosis. We stayed until after 11 then headed home. I watched some SNL before falling asleep.
Friday 12/18, P let me off early and when I got home I took care of the dogs and sat down to do some work. I spent time ripping some cds and updating my phone. Eric came home late and I asked him about a couple of my Beatles cds and the answer I received was not very good. I went to bed disappointed and he was fully aware.
Thursday 12/17, Susan and Jon were staying the night up in Bellingham so I went over to check on Pen and make sure she had enough provisions and that she was okay. I called Dad on the way home to catch up. I had a little dinner when I got home, fed the dogs, showered, got ready for my massage, etc. I worked for about a half hour on my CKC project then took off. The massage was very good. I went home and basically got into bed. Slept like a rock.
Wednesday 12/16, I stayed a little late at work then headed home where I took care of the dogs and showered. Eric arrived home from therapy and we took off for Mom’s to decorate the tree. We were the first to arrive and Mom said we weren’t waiting for everyone else for dinner so we ate. Jake arrived next, then Dad and Alix (from her TN trip), and eventually Kass. We celebrated Mom’s birthday and I gave her a gray glassy baby for their new bathroom. I started on the tree and everyone else eventually joined in. We eventually finished and we were the first to leave since it was 9:00. We went to the store on the way home and grabbed a few things, then home and into bed.
Tuesday 12/15, I went to Susan’s after work and they are deep into packing. We talked for about an hour then we went and got Thai at the place Erik Laugh took me way back in 2008. We had a nice dinner and when we got back to their place she loaded me up with stuff she didn’t want to move up to Bellingham. When I got home I fed the dogs, showered, and got into bed. P got me a bunch of new pots and pans for Xmas.
Monday 12/14, When I got home I finished my Visa organizing then started in on my project for CKC. I spent a few hours and made some progress. Eric came home and we talked for a while. I went to bed around 11.
Sunday 12/13, We were up early since we were having Peter and Stef over for brunch and to watch the game. It started early so we got a jump on cooking and cleaning. I worked on the finishing touches and Eric took care of the food. When they arrived we dished up and sat in the living room and talked. Peter is home for the foreseeable future doing some driving. Stef just returned from Cuba and Peter is taking off for Slovakia for Christmas. They stayed for the whole game and we had a really nice visit. After they left I took a nap and slept for quite a while. I think I must have watched a movie but I don’t remember what. Took it easy for the rest of the day.
Saturday 12/12, Eric was up super early to go to a meeting and I did a few things around the house. When he got home we went to the store for party supplies then got a pizza for my and Susan’s X-Files date. We had pizza and watched the second X-Files movie, which was okay and surprisingly not a mythology episode. It left us with a few questions, though. After Susan left I did a bunch of cleaning in anticipation of visitors the next day. I watched Babysitters, which was somewhat disturbing, and later in the evening watched Greenberg. Ben Stiller was a real weirdo in that one. I wrote an email to Chris and Sky with my questions but didn’t hear back until the next day. Eric was home late from work. I stayed up and watched some of SNL.
Friday 12/11, I had a call with Chris and Sky but had more questions by the evening. I watched A Perfect Man and The Last Time You Had Fun. I had a pretty bs dinner. Eric was home late.
Thursday 12/10, I went to Susan’s after work and we watched the XF finale. It was pretty anti-climactic. I think I ate something when I got home. Maybe went to bed early?
Wednesday 12/9, P texted that the power was off and not to come in. I stayed in bed and around 8 started up on my project again and got 5 pages down to 2.75. I sent it off to Chris and crossed my fingers. I started a movie (Brass Teapot) and almost finished it but Eric called (out running errands) to see if I wanted to go out and get lunch. I got dressed and we went to Taj Palace and had the buffet. Luckily they had my favorite rice dessert. We went down to the Rack so I could get gift cards for Alix and Jake. I tried on a bunch of shoes but didn’t buy anything. Back at home we watched a few SNL clips then I left to go to Susan’s for XF. We watched three episodes and only have the finale left. I talked to Kass on the way home and made a stop to the GO. Luckily they were restocked on some of my favorites. Back at home I packaged up Auntie Lauryn’s present and Eric started dinner. Chris asked if I was available for a conference call on Friday so I made plans for that. We watched the end of Brass Teapot while we ate dinner then Brothers Solomon which was ridiculous. Into bed at 10, updated this, and went to bed.
Tuesday 12/8, When I got home I fed the dogs and packed up Maya and Sapph’s stuff since Blair was picking them up that evening. The pickup went fine and we chatted about the last 1.5 weeks. After she left I kept working on my project and managed to get 8 pages whittled down to 5, but still had a lot of work to do. Eric came home late and was in a funk and feeling down. We talked about the car, our relationship, the future, his sobriety, all that. It felt productive and I think he felt better. I finished Inbetweeners. Ridiculous.
Monday 12/7, I got home and got the dogs settled, started on my project for CKC, made some dinner, fed the dogs, and more working until 9:45. Eric came home and we talked while I got ready for bed. I watched some of Inbetweeners and turned it off at 11:00.
Sunday 12/6, I got up and let out the dogs, but got back in bed. Eric was up and out the door by 9 and I finally got up for breakfast. I watched A Case of You eh, but P. Dinklage was hilarious) and Two Faces of January (beautiful Greece). I made myself get up, stripped the bed, did some laundry, cleaned the kitchen, etc. Susan texted me at 2:30 telling me to come over so I grabbed some boxes from the garage and headed over. We got through three X-Files episodes and we’re so close to finishing the series; only like five more to go. I took off because I wanted to get my exam over with. I stopped at the store on the way home, heated up a piece of pizza and went to town on my final exam. I got a 90% which I wasn’t thrilled with but ended up with an overall 97% in the course so that’s okay. Eric came home. I made up the bed, showered, then crawled in to watch Last Man on Earth. I also started watching a movie but turned it off when I was falling asleep.
Saturday 12/5, I watched Staten Island Summer, did some homework, finished a quiz, went to Costco and Target, watched Extract, and lastly SNL.
Friday 12/4, I had a meeting at CKC with CA and that went well then went to work. After work Susan I watched three episodes. When I got home Eric and I talked for a little bit then I went to bed.
Thursday 12/3, Another day of doing homework but I still didn’t finish. I had very little motivation. I think I did some house stuff instead. Or maybe online xmas shopping. I didn’t have to go in early the next day, instead I was going into the CKC office to discuss a project.
Wednesday 12/2, I went home and started my homework to finish up my reading and last quiz. I made some decent progress but didn’t finish the unit. I juggled dogs for the evening. Eric was home late.
Tuesday 12/1, I went to Susan’s after work and we watched one episode which I remember seeing. It’s the one where they tease that Mulder is going to come back but he never does and the super soldiers can be killed by iron. I went home and fed all the dogs and got them situated, then I ate dinner. I finally got M and S to calm down in the bedroom with me while I did stuff online and updated this.
Saturday 1/30, I was up early because Eric had to work and Twinkles was going home. I got everything settled then Twinkles went home. I worked for a bit until Kass and Aubrie came over in the early afternoon. Kass left and I took Aubrie to the airport. Wish she could have stayed longer. Back at home I listened to stand up while I worked for part of the evening to catch up. Eric came home and we watched a little tv and talked; took it easy. I worked until 10 I think.
Friday 1/29, I skipped work to spend time with Aubrie and get ready to go out that night. On the way home Aubrie called me trying to figure out how to work my shower, which had us both in stitches. When I got home we just had a big salad and went to the Rack and DSW to find shoes. I got a couple pair and Aubs found a pair for the evening. Back at home Bruce dropped off Dexter for a long weekend. I showered and we both started getting ready for the evening in Seattle with Kass’ friends and cousin Hailey. We hung at Kassie’s for a long time, eating and getting ready. Finally after 9:00 we headed to dinner at some new steakhouse by SU, but I don’t remember the name. We had a long dinner and everything was fantastic. It was a rowdy crowd and one of the chefs kept sending over appetizers and champagne. So we took some pictures with him and our waiter who was very patient. I had to be up early the next day so I threw in the towel while the rest of the girls all went dancing at R Place. At home Eric and I talked for a few minutes then went to bed. It was almost 1.
Thursday 1/28, I came home for lunch and Eric made us delicious grilled cheese sandwiches. I took Aubrie in to CKC with me and worked for a couple hours then headed back home. We told Kassie to come over when she was done. When we got home we watched Far From the Madding Crowd and it was giving Aubrie heartburn, but the ending was the payoff she was looking for. Kass arrived right before the end and after it was over we went over to Kukai for dinner and Alissa met us over there. We all got the tonkatsu and had the pork belly buns to start. Dinner was fun with an Italian guy who had a Jamaican accent. We went back to the house and colored and talked until it was time for Alissa to pick up JJ. Kassie stayed a little while longer then headed home. Aubrie and I were pretty tired so I showered and we both went to bed.
Wednesday 1/27, After work I came home and cleaned and went to the store and talked to the girls to make plans for the evening. I worked for a little until Eric got home from therapy. He started dinner and Kass and Aubs arrived around 7. We snacked in the kitchen and talked then got out the coloring books and took over the dining room table. Sky arrived and kept Eric company in the kitchen. We didn’t get to bed until after midnight.
Tuesday 1/26, I went down to CKC and worked there for a while until my meeting with Sky at Roadway. Kass and Aubs were at CKC so we caravanned over to Roadway. I went over everything with Sky and I was there until after 6:00. Kass was taking Aubrie to some Nat Geo event so I was on my own for the night. I think I worked for Peggy when I got home. Got the dogs situated and took it easy for the rest of the night.
Monday 1/25, I took the afternoon off to hang out with Kass and Aubs. We met at PacGal and I found some stools I liked but didn’t buy. The whole back area where the auctions used to be is all changed and a fabulous space. Next we went to lunch at the Mexican place in Pioneer Square and stuffed ourselves. We went to Nordstrom to get Aubrie a couple bras and lipstick for Kassie. Back to PacGal where Aubrie bought a necklace and I went home. I fed the dogs then worked for a while until X-Files started. It was a good episode. I talked to Susan afterward until Eric got home. We talked for a while and I worked for a few more minutes then went to bed.
Sunday 1/24, I was up and did the home visit form and a few other things until it was time for Justin and Mailen to pick up the girls. We talked for a while and they met Twinkles who they both liked. I called Kass afterward and we decided I’d see them the next day since the freeway was closed and I didn’t want to sit in traffic all day. I relaxed and watched a movie in bed. It was nice to be down to 4 dogs. Eric was home at normal Sunday time and I filled him in on my day. Went to bed.
Saturday 1/23, I was awake early because Eric brought the dogs in. I let Jess sleep longer and did a few things until about 9:30. We got ready and headed down to Lil’ Jon’s for breakfast. I saw Sandy and Bill and said hi. We had a nice breakfast then back home to hang out for a few minutes. She left and I packed up Twinkles for the long drive to Silverdale for her home visit. The HV went well though I was wishing it would have been a little less scattered. We jammed home and Eric already had the dogs situated since we were going to Sky and Chrystol’s for dinner. Eric got a bunch of food to take over and after I showered we headed over. We had a really nice evening with them and left around 10.
Friday 1/22, Spent time with Eric watching a movie until Genie called about Twinkles’ app. It went about how we both expected so I emailed the app and set up a time to meet the next day. I eventually got dressed and ready for the night out with Jess in Fremont. I couldn’t wait to eat so I had a couple pieces of pizza. I met with Jess and Megs at Star or something. We talked and ate then Jess and I went to PCC to kill some time until the show started at 11:30. The show was fun and there was a super drunk guy in the front and then up on the stage. It was over by 12:30 so we said our goodbyes then she followed me home. We stayed up watching youtube videos until 2:30.
Thursday 1/21, I may have gone down to CKC. I don’t remember.
Wednesday 1/20, When I got home Eric was cleaning. We watched a little of the terrible movie I’d been watching the night before (Slightly Single in LA) and he was dying because it was so bad. He left to go to a meeting and I finished the bad movie. I put on Wolfpack and that was much better but so emotionally draining. I got ready for bed and updated this.
Tuesday 1/19, Worked for a little bit when I got home then got the dogs situated and had some leftovers. I watched the rest of Far From the Madding Crowd while I worked some more. I wrote up Twinkles’ long bio and got that sent out which was a huge relief. When Eric got home we talked for a while then I watched a movie for a few minutes before falling asleep.
Monday 1/18, I didn’t go into CKC and instead went and met Susan and Jon for lunch. We had a really nice time and did some catching up and had the lunch special at Szechuan Chef. We made plans for X-Files and a sleepover. I went home and worked a little but fell asleep. I was so exhausted. I woke up and fed the dogs then got back to work. I took a break to run to the store then back to work. I watched Far From the Madding Crowd because it was in the dvd player and I didn’t feel like going and getting another movie. Eric was home late and we talked about his day volunteering at the Cougar Mtn Zoo. I showered and got into bed and did a little updating of this.
Sunday 1/17, We got up and did a few things then Eric was out the door to work while I got dressed and headed to an estate sale in Newcastle (on the golf course) that looked over the top. When I got there the line was like 25 people long and I thought it would go fairly quickly. Well, I was very wrong. I stood in line for an hour and 45 minutes and it was raining the entire time! I met three ladies, however, that made the wait much more bearable. Once we got in it was just insane the amount of stuff and how high end it was. Every designer shoe brand you could imagine and just stacks and stacks of boxes with receipts. $1,200 shoes (never worn) for $180. It was like a candy store. I stocked up on designer dog blankets and beds, got a couple human blankets, a bunch of cds (Depeche Mode, SP, Brian Ferry, etc), and a book. When I found Kim in an upstairs room she informed me that it must have been a whore house and once she said that it all made sense. The 15 sets of the exact same sheet and comforter sets in each of the six bedrooms, even though the former owner was apparently a woman who lived alone. There were also industrial sized fridge and freezers in the garage, a hundred+ leather heels, the boas and masks, a range of different sized bras and jeans. It was so crazy. In the checkout line Kim and I were talking some more and another girl chimed in and said the woman was an internist and had died of a prescription drug overdose. Once I thought more about it she was probably going to get busted by the authorities and took her own life. Or maybe she was just into group sex parties. Anyway, I headed home and it was already noon. I worked for a bit then went to the mall to exchange my mascara as well as pick up some gifts for the white elephant party. At home I got ready for the party and once Eric got home from work we took off. It was the CKC holiday party and there were a lot of people there. We ate and socialized and then the gift exchange started. I ended up with some sailor salt and pepper shakers. We left around 11 and we were both not looking forward to the next day’s work.
Saturday 1/16, I was up early because I couldn’t sleep. Eric left to go to a meeting and I started working. When he got back he made me breakfast. I did some things around the house and out in the yard then inside to work and watched Elizabeth. Then I watched the second one but had to turn it off to get ready to go to my movie with Kristel. We got there early so we could catch up since it’s been since Plain that we’d seen each other. We both really liked the movie even though RG had really bad hair. When it was over we talked for a little while then promised to do it again soon. I went home and Eric had just gotten home and we filled each other in on our respective days. I couldn’t stay up for SNL since I hadn’t gotten my nap in earlier.
Friday 1/15, Went down to CKC to work with Susie and stayed until almost 4, went home and did some more work. Relaxed for the evening. Kristel and I were supposed to see The Big Short but she wasn’t feeling well so we rescheduled. I think I watched a movie and relaxed.
Thursday 1/14, Eric had the day off so he was home when I got there. I had some leftover pasta, worked a little bit, showered, etc. I had a massage with Corey at 8:00 and that was very good as always. At home Eric gave me a hard time. I worked for a little bit then went to bed.
Wednesday 1/13, Texted with RH Eric, Eric came home and made dinner; delicious pasta with egg noodles. I probably worked for part of the evening and folded laundry; that kind of stuff.
Tuesday 1/12, I went into CKC again and didn’t stay as long and ended up going home earlier to avoid traffic. Worked from home for part of the evening. Maybe worked on my other job stuff, too. I don’t remember.
Monday 1/11, I went down to CKC to work and I can’t remember how long I was there. I think I left late and sat in traffic forever. Bad mood city. I don’t remember the rest of the night but I probably watched a movie or Kimmy Schmidt or something.
Sunday 1/10, I got up around 8 and we both started getting stuff done. I cleaned up the kitchen while Eric started breakfast. I started washing blankets and bedding and worked on stuff for my taxes. We ate our breakfast while we got ready for the game to start. I didn’t watch any of it and instead did some bathroom cleaning and hand washed some clothes. I took off to run some errands and hit Sephora for mascara, Super Supplements for toothpaste, and the GO for a few items. Back home I kept going on my finance stuff and Eric was ecstatic that the Seahawks won. We took a nap on the couch with most of the dogs. I got up at 4 because it was time to go pick up our new foster, Twinkles. We got down to FW just as the dogs arrived. Our new girl is super sweet and Janell’s Seuss is a super big boy. Back at home we did introductions and I got T to go to the bathroom outside. We bathed all the dogs and clipped their nails. Eric heated up some dinner for me and we watched a couple episodes of that Jason Schwartzman show. We got ready for bed and I updated this. Little Twinkles is a super good girl.
Saturday 1/9, I got to sleep in. Instead of getting up I watched “Sleeping Beauty” (not the Disney one) and got about halfway through it before I needed to get up and ready to work at Kass’ shop. Eric helped me make my lunch then I took off the long way around since 90W was down to one lane. When I got there I parked behind the building and got the doors unlocked and alarm off. I called Alissa so she could walk me through everything so that was good. I opened up the door and people came in right away. There was quite a bit of traffic all day and I sold two things so that was good. I managed to work on my CKC project and finished it up. I closed everything up at 5 and headed home. I realized I left one of the heaters on and started to panic, and as I’m writing this I realize I also forgot to bring in her sidewalk sign. Oops. I went to the store to pick up my meds before going home and talked to Kass who said the heater was fine. At home I fed the dogs and sat down to finish my movie. I uploaded some documents to the teamwork site then sent CA an email about what I’d done. I talked to Susan for a long time and we got all caught up with her adventures in home ownership. When we hung up I may have watched another movie; I don’t remember. After Eric got home we talked in the living room but I was tired again. I went to bed at 11:30.
Friday 1/8, Worked on my CKC project from P’s again since Susie postponed our meeting until Monday. I got a lot done. I also got a text from Alissa asking if I could cover the shop the next day. I found out later it’s because they were all skiing and she wanted to stay longer. I told her yes, but I really didn’t want to. Dad and Mom cancelled Alix’s birthday dinner since they were both sick. I was relieved and excited to go home. I didn’t do any work and instead watched a movie (Making of a Lady, or something). Eric and I talked when he got home but I was so tired I went to bed soon after.
Thursday 1/7, I worked on my CKC project at P’s and was glad not to do the commute. I stayed until 4 then headed home and Eric was already working on dinner. He was making some veggie pasta and when it was done it was so good. I gave it a 10. I take it back, there was bacon in it so it wasn’t veggie. It was fantastic. I don’t remember if we watched something or what. He left for his meeting and I did a little work. I think I watched another movie.
Wednesday 1/6, Stayed a little later at CKC, though when everyone left and CA wasn’t even there, I left at a quarter to 4. I don’t remember what I did when I got home. I may have just relaxed or worked a little. I started watching a movie (Little Death?) and halfway through Mailen arrived up with the pups for the next 2.5 weeks. We talked for a long time then she left and I settled back down to watch my movie. When Eric got home we chatted about the dogs and they were happy to see him. Not sure what time I went to bed but the girls slept with Eric and our dogs with me.
Tuesday 1/5, Worked at CKC and making progress, I think. I was home a little after 4 and showered and sat down to do some work. I had a hard time getting started. Talked to both Dad and Peggy then tried again. I worked off and on throughout the night, finally getting some work done. Called it quits at 8 and got into bed.
Monday 1/4, I got a shitty night’s sleep so I was super tired for a good part of the day. My first part-time day at the office then drove down to Roadway for my new gig. I wasn’t there all that long so when I came home I did some work but fell asleep on the couch. When I got up I fixed dinner for the dogs and myself and got back to work. I got through the first piece of MMJ legislation and have two more to go. I folded laundry and cleaned up the dishes then updated this and did some work for P. I had a headache so I was in bed early.
Sunday 1/3, I slept okay, not great. Jessica and Seb were awake but still in bed. Day made breakfast and we all ate too much again. Jess finished putting the xmas stuff away and I left for home around noon. It was snowing like crazy almost all the way back to the eastside. At home I did laundry and worked for the afternoon. I wanted to get my project done but didn’t want to actually work. I got a text from Sky saying he wanted to have me start on a budget project and to meet him at Roadway the next day. I was excited and felt like a huge weight was lifted. I cleaned up the kitchen and did some other things around the house. Eric was home by 8; I can’t remember if he made dinner or if I ate something earlier. I told him about working pt and he was happy for me and was like “I told you so”. I went to bed nervous and had lots of things on my mind.
Saturday 1/2, I woke up and finished up my project and sent it off to CA and Sky. I got dressed and packed and headed north to see Jessica. I made it there in time for breakfast. Seb had arrived after Christmas so we talked about what they’d been doing. Jess and I ran to the little store to grab a few things for breakfast. Back at home we had breakfast and watched Austenland which Jess and Day both liked. Jess wanted to watch Reign since I haven’t seen it. All the xmas décor came down and Jess and Seb were going around putting stuff away. After that we went in the hot tub which felt great because it was so fricken freezing outside. We ordered pizza for dinner and it was a little bit of a disappointment. Luckily we went and got ice cream for dessert. We got ready for bed and watched Interview before going to sleep. I think it was about midnight.
Friday 1/1, We got up and Eric was out and walking and getting stuff from the store. I watched a movie in bed. When he got back we mixed things up. We watched a few more episodes of that show when we heard from Sky and Chrystol that they were up for hanging out. We got ready and headed out. We spent a lot of time visiting then took off for Golden Gardens. Everything was frozen and it was chilly. We had a nice time visiting and back at their house we ordered food and when the boys went to go get it Chrystol asked me how things are going and we dished on all that. We ate our dinner and ended up leaving around 7 maybe, since we knew baby Hojo was ready for some food and a nap. Back at home I worked because I wanted to get a project done and out by the next day.
Thursday 12/31, Got some texts from Sky mid-day asking for help on setting an LLC / Corp, though we didn’t make the deadline. When I got home I did a few things around the house and fed the dogs. Eric came home then took off right away for a meeting. I showered and did some work while watching Far From the Madding Crowd. We watched a couple episodes of some Jason Schwartzman show that was pretty funny. I was tired and didn’t want to stay up for midnight so I went to bed at 11 and was awoken by the dogs barking at the fireworks.
Wednesday 12/30, I got home from work and unpacked and showered. Sky had some questions so I did some research and got back to him. I didn’t do much for the rest of the night. Eric and I had a conversation when he got home and went to bed just fine. Had a dream with RG that was very nice.
Tuesday 12/29, Eric and I were up and packing our bags to head home. For lunch we went to Horny toad and Kass was less than impressed. On our way to the airport we went to the Vans store to exchange some shoes. Next stop was the airport to head home. I don’t remember what time we got home but I think Kass dropped off Eric and I at Mom’s to pick up our car. I’m sure we weren’t up late.
Monday 12/28, We all had a nice breakfast and just hung around. Eric was tired so he went back to bed. The rest of us wanted to go for a walk. I had something to eat then a big group of us went on a hike. I graced everyone with my nature tour and Kass posted a funny picture on IG. Later in the day Mom, Aub, Lish, Eric, and me set off for the Nordstrom “Last Chance” store which was so hilarious because it doesn’t say Nordstrom anywhere on the store and for good reason. That place is pretty dumpy. I did get some basic black heels for $15 though, so that was good. Aubrie scored the most treasures and did a fashion show. We had French dip sandwiches for dinner and we all oohed and ahhed. The boys put on Mission Impossible but I didn’t want to watch so I went in the bedroom and ended up falling asleep. It was like 8. Eric came to bed at 10 and I woke up so I watched If I Were You until midnight. I had a nice night’s sleep.
Sunday 12/27, Eric and I were up early and out of the house for our tour. I was tired and had something in my eye so I was irritable. It was freezing when we got there but the grounds of Taliesin are gorgeous. We had the architecture tour first and that was very interesting. I liked how intimate the spaces were and my favorite was on the backside of the living room and the bedrooms. The next tour was the desert walk tour and we learned all about the plant life on the grounds, as well as got to see the student-build / maintained houses / structures. We had a German lady as our guide and Eric knew just how to handle her from experience. We left around 1:00 back to Mom and Dad’s and stopped at the store on the way for stuff for Kass. When we got back Mom and Kass were making food and getting ready for the Seahawks game. I spent some time that evening coloring and stuffing my face. Mom and Alishia went for a walk but when they weren’t back by dusk we started to worry and Dad set off on the bike, while Aubrie and Christian went out on foot. Kass and I stayed with the baby and Pete was out sleeping, and didn’t really care when he heard. They finally made it back after Dad found them; they’d gotten turned around and neither had their phone. Later in the evening we played trivial pursuit and the girls won again. We all split off for bed after we finished the game.
Saturday 12/26, Eric woke me up way too early at like 8:30 to go on a hike. I was in a bad mood. I ate a little something then got ready. We waited for a while for Alishia but eventually took off just the two of us because I didn’t want to wait anymore. We did a nice hike and when I got back I didn’t feel guilty about having two pancakes. Aubrie had a gooey one so we both had pancake dippers. We lounged around for a good part of the day and I finally showered and put on some real clothes. I tried to take a nap but Eric woke me up again. That put me in a bad mood again. We had an early ham dinner so that Mom and Dad could take Papa home. While they were gone we broke out the Cards Against Humanity and that was pretty hilarious. When Mom and Dad came home we quickly put it away. Dad made a ton of popcorn and we sat on the couch and watched football, probably. Eric and I went to bed earlier than everyone else because we had the Frank Lloyd Wright Taliesin tour early the next morning.
Friday 12/25, We were up before 8 and finished getting the house ready. I showered, packed, etc and we were out of the house a little after 9 with all of our gear. Kass was only 30+ minutes late this year; and still managed to miss the fighting between Mom, Dad, Jake, and Alix. The morning ended up better after that and it turned out to be a nice morning. The four of us and Dad took off for the airport at 1:00. We made good time and managed to make it through security despite the N Gates checkpoint closing down while we were in line and a TSA agent who wouldn’t let Eric go through security with us because he isn’t MVP. We got it squared away, though. We went to the gate and got a snack before it was time to board. On the plane I got a message from LPC saying he’d seen me in the security line and that he almost got the same hat as Eric. I told him he should have said hi. We were about to take off when this guy in first class passed out and wasn’t responsive. It happened again after he came to, but by the time the paramedics arrived they told him he couldn’t fly and he was taken off. His family stayed on the flight! Ouch. It went pretty quickly and I got through several magazines. When we landed we got our bags and waited for Dad who had just picked up Aubs and Christian. Poor Christian’s hands and wrists. We hauled ass home since we were all hungry and dinner was served shortly after. It was nice to see everyone and we took turns holding the baby. We had a great dinner then waited while there was some clean up. Finally it was present time and that took until like 11. We ended up staying up until 2 am with talking and more eating.
Thursday 12/24, Eric was up and out of the house before 6:00 for a long day at work. I managed to fall back asleep and didn’t wake up until 8:30. I fed the dogs, ate breakfast, then started in on all the stuff I wanted to get done: laundry, changed bedding, vacuumed, cleaned up the kitchen, got toilet paper, did a deposit, got mashed potato fixins, wrapped presents, washed blankets, and lastly sat down to finish my CKC project and sent it off to Sky and Chris. Eric arrived home and we started in on making the potatoes for dinner, then I showered and we took off for Mom’s. We were the first to arrive but soon people showed up. Eric left at 6:45 to go to a meeting and shortly after we all ate dinner. It was a very nice evening. Found out Jake and Alix aren’t coming on our family trip after all. We left at 9:30 and when I got home I put a few things away, did some packing, changed my sheets, and got into bed. I updated this then turned in at 11.
Wednesday 12/23, At home I did a few things then finished watching Quills. I worked on my CKC project until after Eric got home and went to bed. When I got into bed I wasn’t sleepy so I watched Cairo Time then went to sleep. It was 12:30.
Tuesday 12/22, When I got home I finished watching About Alex then got to work on my CKC project and made some good headway. When Eric got home I put it away and we talked for a little while. Went to bed before 11.
Monday 12/21, I showered then called Mom to wish her a happy birthday. Jessica arrived and we talked for a half hour or so then took off for dinner. We decided to do Kukai and really stuffed ourselves. We talked and talked. It was nice. We went to Whole Foods after and each got a little sweet treat. After we got back she took off for the airport to pick up her Deutsche friends. I got ready for bed. When Eric got home we talked for a while about our days then went to bed.
Sunday 12/20, Eric was out of the house before 7 to go to a meeting in Fremont. I watched Your Sister’s Sister in bed then got up and ready since we were seeing Spectre at 10. We went to the Factoria theater which has totally been redone and had reclining seats and wide aisles and everything. It is so much better and smells brand new! I liked the movie; Eric wasn’t as crazy about the ending and thought it was too predictable. At home he watched the game while I went through a magazine and watched “Do I Sound Gay?”, though I fell asleep half-way through. When I woke up I finished it. Worked on my tax prep stuff while Eric made dinner. For the rest of the evening I updated this and did a few things online.
Saturday 12/19, Eric was up and out of the house early to go to a meeting. I kept going on my cds and updating my ipod. I had a phone date with Sos at 10:30 and we caught up and I filled her in on stuff. Eric came home and we all chatted together for a few minutes. I kept going on my project and eventually sat down to work. Eric left to go to work and I spent the next few hours trying to get something on paper and out to Sky and Chris. I showered and got ready for the evening’s party and headed over by 6:30. I mainly hung out in the living room since there were a lot of people there. I spent time talking to Rick, Claude, Becky, Eyal, Sky, Kass. Kass and crew had an awards thing to go to for CKC so they took off around 8:30 and Eric arrived about an hour later. Recommended Olympic PT to Eyal and talked about his prognosis. We stayed until after 11 then headed home. I watched some SNL before falling asleep.
Friday 12/18, P let me off early and when I got home I took care of the dogs and sat down to do some work. I spent time ripping some cds and updating my phone. Eric came home late and I asked him about a couple of my Beatles cds and the answer I received was not very good. I went to bed disappointed and he was fully aware.
Thursday 12/17, Susan and Jon were staying the night up in Bellingham so I went over to check on Pen and make sure she had enough provisions and that she was okay. I called Dad on the way home to catch up. I had a little dinner when I got home, fed the dogs, showered, got ready for my massage, etc. I worked for about a half hour on my CKC project then took off. The massage was very good. I went home and basically got into bed. Slept like a rock.
Wednesday 12/16, I stayed a little late at work then headed home where I took care of the dogs and showered. Eric arrived home from therapy and we took off for Mom’s to decorate the tree. We were the first to arrive and Mom said we weren’t waiting for everyone else for dinner so we ate. Jake arrived next, then Dad and Alix (from her TN trip), and eventually Kass. We celebrated Mom’s birthday and I gave her a gray glassy baby for their new bathroom. I started on the tree and everyone else eventually joined in. We eventually finished and we were the first to leave since it was 9:00. We went to the store on the way home and grabbed a few things, then home and into bed.
Tuesday 12/15, I went to Susan’s after work and they are deep into packing. We talked for about an hour then we went and got Thai at the place Erik Laugh took me way back in 2008. We had a nice dinner and when we got back to their place she loaded me up with stuff she didn’t want to move up to Bellingham. When I got home I fed the dogs, showered, and got into bed. P got me a bunch of new pots and pans for Xmas.
Monday 12/14, When I got home I finished my Visa organizing then started in on my project for CKC. I spent a few hours and made some progress. Eric came home and we talked for a while. I went to bed around 11.
Sunday 12/13, We were up early since we were having Peter and Stef over for brunch and to watch the game. It started early so we got a jump on cooking and cleaning. I worked on the finishing touches and Eric took care of the food. When they arrived we dished up and sat in the living room and talked. Peter is home for the foreseeable future doing some driving. Stef just returned from Cuba and Peter is taking off for Slovakia for Christmas. They stayed for the whole game and we had a really nice visit. After they left I took a nap and slept for quite a while. I think I must have watched a movie but I don’t remember what. Took it easy for the rest of the day.
Saturday 12/12, Eric was up super early to go to a meeting and I did a few things around the house. When he got home we went to the store for party supplies then got a pizza for my and Susan’s X-Files date. We had pizza and watched the second X-Files movie, which was okay and surprisingly not a mythology episode. It left us with a few questions, though. After Susan left I did a bunch of cleaning in anticipation of visitors the next day. I watched Babysitters, which was somewhat disturbing, and later in the evening watched Greenberg. Ben Stiller was a real weirdo in that one. I wrote an email to Chris and Sky with my questions but didn’t hear back until the next day. Eric was home late from work. I stayed up and watched some of SNL.
Friday 12/11, I had a call with Chris and Sky but had more questions by the evening. I watched A Perfect Man and The Last Time You Had Fun. I had a pretty bs dinner. Eric was home late.
Thursday 12/10, I went to Susan’s after work and we watched the XF finale. It was pretty anti-climactic. I think I ate something when I got home. Maybe went to bed early?
Wednesday 12/9, P texted that the power was off and not to come in. I stayed in bed and around 8 started up on my project again and got 5 pages down to 2.75. I sent it off to Chris and crossed my fingers. I started a movie (Brass Teapot) and almost finished it but Eric called (out running errands) to see if I wanted to go out and get lunch. I got dressed and we went to Taj Palace and had the buffet. Luckily they had my favorite rice dessert. We went down to the Rack so I could get gift cards for Alix and Jake. I tried on a bunch of shoes but didn’t buy anything. Back at home we watched a few SNL clips then I left to go to Susan’s for XF. We watched three episodes and only have the finale left. I talked to Kass on the way home and made a stop to the GO. Luckily they were restocked on some of my favorites. Back at home I packaged up Auntie Lauryn’s present and Eric started dinner. Chris asked if I was available for a conference call on Friday so I made plans for that. We watched the end of Brass Teapot while we ate dinner then Brothers Solomon which was ridiculous. Into bed at 10, updated this, and went to bed.
Tuesday 12/8, When I got home I fed the dogs and packed up Maya and Sapph’s stuff since Blair was picking them up that evening. The pickup went fine and we chatted about the last 1.5 weeks. After she left I kept working on my project and managed to get 8 pages whittled down to 5, but still had a lot of work to do. Eric came home late and was in a funk and feeling down. We talked about the car, our relationship, the future, his sobriety, all that. It felt productive and I think he felt better. I finished Inbetweeners. Ridiculous.
Monday 12/7, I got home and got the dogs settled, started on my project for CKC, made some dinner, fed the dogs, and more working until 9:45. Eric came home and we talked while I got ready for bed. I watched some of Inbetweeners and turned it off at 11:00.
Sunday 12/6, I got up and let out the dogs, but got back in bed. Eric was up and out the door by 9 and I finally got up for breakfast. I watched A Case of You eh, but P. Dinklage was hilarious) and Two Faces of January (beautiful Greece). I made myself get up, stripped the bed, did some laundry, cleaned the kitchen, etc. Susan texted me at 2:30 telling me to come over so I grabbed some boxes from the garage and headed over. We got through three X-Files episodes and we’re so close to finishing the series; only like five more to go. I took off because I wanted to get my exam over with. I stopped at the store on the way home, heated up a piece of pizza and went to town on my final exam. I got a 90% which I wasn’t thrilled with but ended up with an overall 97% in the course so that’s okay. Eric came home. I made up the bed, showered, then crawled in to watch Last Man on Earth. I also started watching a movie but turned it off when I was falling asleep.
Saturday 12/5, I watched Staten Island Summer, did some homework, finished a quiz, went to Costco and Target, watched Extract, and lastly SNL.
Friday 12/4, I had a meeting at CKC with CA and that went well then went to work. After work Susan I watched three episodes. When I got home Eric and I talked for a little bit then I went to bed.
Thursday 12/3, Another day of doing homework but I still didn’t finish. I had very little motivation. I think I did some house stuff instead. Or maybe online xmas shopping. I didn’t have to go in early the next day, instead I was going into the CKC office to discuss a project.
Wednesday 12/2, I went home and started my homework to finish up my reading and last quiz. I made some decent progress but didn’t finish the unit. I juggled dogs for the evening. Eric was home late.
Tuesday 12/1, I went to Susan’s after work and we watched one episode which I remember seeing. It’s the one where they tease that Mulder is going to come back but he never does and the super soldiers can be killed by iron. I went home and fed all the dogs and got them situated, then I ate dinner. I finally got M and S to calm down in the bedroom with me while I did stuff online and updated this.
