Tuesday 8/2, Peggy decided that she’s going to let me leave at 3:30 every day for the rest of August, so I left work and went home quickly and grabbed my roller-gear and some home décor stuff and headed over to Mom’s. We discussed house plans and menu selections for my birthday then it was time for me to go over to Susan’s. Got ready over at her house and we chatted a bit then we took off for the roller rink “Skate King.” One of the bands was already playing when we got there, so we paid our fee and got our skates and Corey came up and chatted with us for a few minutes then we boned up and I noticed that my skate bumper matched my shirt…I looked so coordinated! The initial skating was not pretty, we were both so uneasy on our skates but we managed to get over to the wall and watch the more talented (and some not so talented) skaters make their way around the rink. We did some test runs up and down the carpet where we could hold onto the wall and finally did one 25 foot span on the floor to get a feel for it and then eventually we got out on the floor. There was this one girl who could do all these fancy tricks on her skates and she’s dating the dj (who played awful music, with one or two exceptions for the whole night) but Susan’s going to steal him away so that she can play good music and get to skate for free. I thought about challenging him and trying to steal his job, but I don’t really want to deal with the roller-skating politics at that place. There was also this gang of quadriplegics that was weirding us out…just something you don’t expect to see at Skate King I suppose. There was one cute guy but we weren’t sure if he was a baby-daddy or not, but at one point walked into the girls bathroom when Susan and I were in there, and he was like “oh, sorry” but I was like “oh, that’s ok” with a wink. Ok not really, but I did tell him it was ok. There was no tp in Susan’s stall so I had to drop some in, but apparently it isn’t easy to hover when you’re wearing roller skates, luckily I held it and didn’t have to find out. Anyway, back to the skating…this one band went on Mono VCF or something and as I took a lap around by myself I glanced up at the bass player and he smiled at me, so then I considered him my bf and showed Susan and I kept smiling at him when I would go by. The singer looked like some random guy just hanging out up there and would like sit down and looked very disinterested, weird, but then they were done and we were resting, but my bf was out skating and like pushing people over so that they would fall, so he appeared to be kind of mean, but then I saw him and this girl with huge boobs but a big belly as well, like holding hands and kissing and stuff, so then he became my ex-bf. Susan and I were sitting on this carpet stool thing and my ex-bf came flying off the floor and almost right into her, she was all, “I should have kicked him in the head” it was sooo funny, it still makes me laugh, he flew like 10 feet and must’ve gotten wicked carpet burns on his elbows. Finally the Turn-Ons took the stage so we pretty much just watched them, but skated a little bit, and by this time we were really doing well, no fancy tricks or anything, but we were cruising around and I could read almost the whole menu while skating by. We didn’t fall once, we were both so proud of ourselves, but then it was getting late and I traded my skates in cause my feet were starting to hurt, then the Turn-Ons finished so we got out of there and drove back so Susan’s then I went home and looked up my ex-bf on myspace…he’s 21, an avid Beatles fan, and his gf is from NJ (yikes) which explains why Susan saw them making out in the photo booth. He looks a lot better on his profile.
Monday 8/1, after work I went to the bank, Bed Bath and Beyond for a squeegee thing, then over to Costco for some household items, including the new Harry Potter. After that I went home and made some dinner and just hung out for the evening by my lonesome.
Sunday 7/31, we woke up early and went down to Grease Monkey so that I could get my oil changed…which I did, and they did it in record time, sweet! Then we went downtown to some bakery and got treats then went back to his house. We decided to go down to the locks so we parked and walked to 7-11 and he got some sort of slurpee and we walked on over. Watched the boats for a while then went down and watched the salmon going up the ladder then we took a walk down the canal and found some grass to sit on and relax. We saw a seal eating the fish, there were tons of them, then we hung out by the railing and watched the fish jump. Eventually we walked back but then saw this huge school of salmon and one had a spot and they were heading straight for the ladder, so I ran inside to see if I could see “Spot” going up, but I couldn’t, however, this other ENORMOUS one came through…that guy must’ve been 40 pounds or something, it was the size of a small child, not even kidding. It was getting hot so we started to head back and took breaks in the shade. We drove around a little bit and then went back to the house and he almost backed into the Lexus on the street cause he was too busy watching me. Showered and then decided to go to Trader Joe’s for some dessert and we got some Lemon Raspberry thing that didn’t turn out to be all that good, too tart for a tarte, but the guy who rang us up was like, “Let me guess, you’re going to a barbeque and you’re in charge of bringing dessert” and we were like, no, we just want to eat some dessert. Eventually we went back to my house, though I went first cause B had to get gas, so when I got home roomie was there and we talked about the agreement and he signed it so he’ll be out by the end of the month, if not sooner. Then I made B a pizza and we just hung out in my room though it was soooo hot, then the ac broke and started blowing out hot air, so we just cooked. Then after he fell asleep he put the washcloth on my legs, which made me laugh.

Let's get back to Grease Monkey for a second...no rose?
I think the problem here is: I brought B with me.
Tag-a-long boyfriend = no rose
Oh well, next time.
