I had a terrible ailment yesterday, therefore I spent most of my after work time lying in bed until Dr. Susan got home and gave me a magical little pill to make said ailment disappear. Thank you Dr. Susan! After that we snacked and sat in front of the tv while I used my recovery as reason to not continue cleaning and rearranging crap that is lying everywhere. Fell asleep listening to my new (though old) Tori Amos cd. Very relaxing.
Tuesday 10/25, Did some cleaning in my room and then Susan and I ate dinner watching the usual HGTV shows. I brought the speakers up from the garage and positioned one of them (the other is still in the middle of the floor) and we watched I Heart Huckabees and both enjoyed it very much, despite all of the unusual noises coming from the various appliances in the house. Talked to B for a while and he said that his insurance company called him because that girl that hit him is trying to turn in a claim against HIS insurance company for the dent in her car. What a bitch, how weird. I discovered a new little freckle on my pinky today. Very interesting.
Monday 10/24, Went and dropped my cd player back off up at Crossroads and went home. Susan and I watched “Me, You and Everyone We Know” and I LOVED it. I want it now for myself…going on the Amazon wish list I guess. Talked to B for a long time on the phone as we both cruised around myspace.
Sunday 10/23, Got up and hit the store for a donut then back to B’s to get our things together and headed back to my house. We showered and got ready then B made pizza for lunch while I made phone calls. B watched the football game while I did stuff upstairs and started to put my stereo together. B came and helped as I tried to find my stereo cables (which I never found, but I did find some other old treasures) and we hoisted my speakers up and got the hole drilled. After everything was done my cd player didn’t work and then I got sad and sulked for a while. Listened to my new Fiona Apple on my headphones then went and laid on the couch with B. We went to Mercer Is and hit Walgreens so I could get birthday cards and candy for the kiddies on Halloween, then went to Mom’s and had dinner. We all did best and worst and B’s real best was cracking me up even though he didn’t say it. Dinner was very good and she made brownies so we ate em with ice cream and sat around and talked until about 7:45 then we left, went home, watched the shows and went to bed.
Saturday 10/22, We got up kind of late so instead of eating breakfast we went down to Ballard and ate lunch at the Great Harvest Bakery place. We both got a sandwich and they were sooo good and the bread was like ¾” thick on each side and very very good. Delicious. Luckily our lunch stop was right across the street from Easy Street so we made a pit stop there and I got the new Franz Ferdinand, Fiona Apple, newer Soundtrack of Our Lives, a Tori Amos, and Aaron Sprinkle, I also wanted the Lansing Dreden, Magnet and the Super Furry Animals cds, but B was already making me feel guilty enough for buying the ones that I did so I put some back. Then we headed over to Magnolia where we went to a park and played on the swings and then went to explore the park we could see down below, but not before we went and got something to drink cause we were both parched. We went down to the little park on the water and I realized it was right by the Palisades but on the other side. Talked to Kassie for a little bit and then we got back in the car and did some exploring, where we found this little trail along the bluff and went out and looked at the water and just talked. I think we went back to B’s house after that. When we were hanging around that girl that hit B with her car called him for his car insurance information, which was weird because what if he didn’t have a car? Why would she need it? He wasn’t even in his car, he was on his bike, and never sued her or threatened her or anything. Weird. We watched a bunch of episodes of Arrested Development then went to get dinner at the little bakery by his house and I know we’ll be hitting that place for dessert some mornings, I didn’t get anything cause I had half my sandwich left so I ate that and then we headed out to the Crest to see “Me, You and Everyone We Know” but when we got there there was a line around the block so we drove back to Scarecrow to rent a movie but neither of us could pick one or decide so we went home and went to bed early.
Friday 10/21, Got up early, did the meeting, took Peggy to the airport and was home by 12:00 for the rest of the afternoon off. It was a beautiful thing. I laid in bed for a little bit and ate my lunch, watched Garden State, then I cleaned and organized a little and made a give away box and actually threw some stuff away too, I think I did a pretty good job. B came over after he got off of work and we were both hungry so he made the raviolis I had in the fridge and I made veggies, though neither of us got very full cause the raviolis were kind of lacking in the filling department. We headed over to his house around 7:00 cause the gang wanted to go out to the Zoo or something, but Jen didn’t want to so Jason went to meet her and the rest of us ended up staying in and talking all night about some rather humorous topics. The most entertaining would have to have been the brainstorming of sexual acts. The good ones: Rusty Trombone and the Stranger, while the funnier ones came from trying to make up our own names and then figuring out which act it would be. We were all in stitches. We all went to bed around midnight or so.
Thursday 10/20, I ended up deciding not to go out because I was going to come into work early the next day for preparation of the big meeting and also because I had to attend the big meeting so I didn’t want to be falling asleep in front of the client. So I stayed at home and pretty much in my room for the whole night just watching tv and playing on my computer. I found a new band on myspace that I like, called the Gingerbread Patriots or something and now I want to order their cd, but I should wait until I have more cash flow. Um…went to bed fairly early I think.
Wednesday 10/19, B came over after work and we both had leftovers but they were both different leftovers. Susan, B and I all watched ANTM then we went upstairs so I could take a shower and then I think we just went to bed.
Tuesday 10/18, Got paid finally. After work went home and did a quick painting job and actually got quite a bit done considering I only spent about 15 minutes doing it before I ran out of paint in my tray. Got the jammies on and sat down in front of the tv with Susan, then we both made dinner and watched HGTV for a while. Talked to B then Susan and I watched an episode of Friends, then I did some dusting and rearranging of containers holding magazines. I have to find those stereo plugs, I have no idea what happened to them, but I don’t want to have to go buy new ones when I know I already have a set somewhere. Just have to find them. Read more of my book and went to bed at about 10:15, I’m not sure what’s going on but I can’t stay awake past 10:30 lately, which means I’m getting about 9 hours of sleep each night.
Monday 10/17, Still no paycheck. Um…went home after work and taped more, but it’s hard in the dark, then started dinner since Susan wasn’t home and wouldn’t want to see raw beef and by the time it was almost done she got there so we ate dinner and watched House Hunters. Watched some old episodes of Friends and flipped through more magazines and then both retreated to our rooms. I read for a while and listened to Belle and Sebastian until about 10:30.
Sunday 10/16, Got up kinda late and went to the store for donuts that were delicious. We organized the Pumpkin Patch trip and left around 1:00 or so out to Carnation. Aubrey and Ianara (still have no idea how to spell it) came behind us and we all joked and talked in the car, it was fun. We got there and headed out to the patch and passed a lot of rotten pumpkins before coming to the area that hadn’t been thoroughly picked over. Talked to Court for a while, then we all had our pumpkins and we headed over to the line for the tractor. That took quite a while, but finally we paid and headed to the food area, B and I both got pie (mine was blueberry) a la mode then we left. It was getting late. So we drove back, hung around for a little bit, then I took off to go to Mom’s for dinner. Since Grandma and Grandpa like to eat early we were all seated by 5:30 but that’s ok cause I hadn’t eaten anything of substance all day. It was good and I only had one lemon bar, I’m not sure what was wrong with me but I think it’s that I’d had sugar overload that day. Dinner was nice and I stayed until about 7:00 then headed home. Watched tv and flipped through mags trying to find pics of Paris Hilton. Desperate Housewives is getting on Susan’s and my nerves and better pick up quickly.
Saturday 10/15, B took off at 6:00 for work and Susan and I hung around for a while, then Grandpa was coming to work on the outlet in my closet so I decided to move everything out of the way for him to get in there. I did a little bit of taping but ended up crapping out on painting, it’s not like I could do it right outside my door where G was coming in and out and bumping up against the walls. So I ended up sitting on the couch for most of the day watching the Adam Carolla project or something. I went online and bought a receiver to pick up at Best Buy so after Gramps was done and Susan got home from her errands we went down and picked up our stuff. We took a very creative way back and got lost a little bit but if you just head toward the lake you’ll always get there, and we did. Susan and I ate our dinner and watched Grease until B called and then I rounded up my things and headed out. FYI, Susan took Sandy’s part and I took Danny’s part on “Summer Lovin”. Got to B’s and talked with Sky and Chrystol for a long time and watched Amelie, then talked more about Halloween costumes. I think I’m going to be Paris Hilton, but I have to find a stuffed Chihuahua and dress it up in ridiculous clothes and shoes and stuff. We all talked forever (hopefully B and Sky will follow Chrystol's and my advice) and ended up going to bed around 12:00.
Friday 10/14, Went home and B was already there watching tv so I watched with him for a little while and then I started making dinner and then Susan came home and kept me company while I cooked. Tried Basmati rice with the curry this time and I really liked it. We ended up going to bed pretty early…like 9:45…we were both exhausted and I ended up sleeping in until 9:00 I think. Yikes.
Thursday 10/13, After work I went home and relaxed a little but then Susan went to nap so I went up to get ready, didn’t wash the hair so I was ready pretty quickly, ate dinner and since there was NO traffic on the roads left a few minutes before 7. I don’t think I’ve ever gotten to B’s that quickly, not sure why there was no traffic, but I’ll take it! Got there and Jason grunted at me when I said hi, whatever. We all ended up talking about Halloween costumes in the living room and Chrystol said I should be B and wear his clothes and go around spewing “B-isms” and then I was all (in slightly nasal voice) and waving hands “I’m hilarious” and everyone just cracked up and B was like “whatever” so then later I did it again but B thought it was Chrystol who took a crack at him because he was in the kitchen and couldn’t hear, it was funny, though I could feel my face get all hot because everyone was laughing at something I said and were looking at me. We finally went upstairs and laid down and I fell asleep like 3 times but kept waking up. I really didn’t want to go dancing because I was so tired and because of bf drama but I didn’t want to ditch Susan so I decided that it would be an early evening. Drove over and met Susan in the lot (which is back down to $3) and we sat in her car for a long while and talked, she was in a very good mood and determined for me to be in one also…which included bribing me with sugary goodies from QFC. We finally walked up and I had my hooded sweatshirt (better than the turtleneck and sweats I told Susan I was going to wear earlier) and we got in line but I was tired and kind of cranky so when bf said hi I said hi back kind of hostile-y. Susan told him I was tired and wanted to go home early, but he was like, “You can’t go home early tonight, it’s my last night here” I thought he was kidding and just trying to make me feel bad because of the previous week’s attitude. But he was serious, so we told him we would come back out and talk. We went upstairs and just stood around for a while and there was this super cute guy right to my right, but I was still wearing my sweatshirt so I probably didn’t appeal to him. We decided to go to QFC for a snack and didn’t say hi to bf when we went out (which he later called us on) and we had to go through the maze in order to get to the store. Susan bought me a candy bar cause I didn’t have any money then we went and walked down to Toys in Babeland and looked in the window so I could eat my treat and not be a chocolaty mess in front of bf. We did a “clean teeth” check and then talked to bf. He’s going to work at other clubs and he gave us the days, but they’ll probably change. He told us his bro was coming to visit and we chatted for a long while, and I was like, “Now who’s going to be my bf?!” and he was like, “Oh, I see how it is, that’s all you’re concerned about?!” and I said, yes, that is what I’m concerned about especially guys like the “Pussy Cat” guy, who incidentally was working Medusa, but bf said everyone got fired and they hired all new people, he’s one of them. Kyle and bf came up and I gave him a hug and an enthusiastic greeting, he told me “cute hair!” so he’s redeemed himself for the time being. Finally went back in and checked my sweatshirt and went out to dance. Bun came over right away and stood next to Susan so we took that as a cue to go dance by polio girl. Thomas came over and found us and looked hot as ever in his sporty little coat and Kyle was dancing right next to us so he probably saw Susan give him a kiss on the cheek and greeting. At one point we were standing on the raised platform by the back bar and I was dancing a little bit and singing along with the song when Andy came up behind us and put one arm on each of our waists, and I was embarrassed cause he caught me, but we both laughed and he moved on. Then we went outside a few times and I went out a few times by myself but no really good opportunities to talk to him especially when his brother and bro’s gf were there. After Susan and I came back out he was like, that’s my brother (he’d gone inside) and I said I figured and he said “I like to think I’m the better half…you know, better looking” and I was like, of course. Then I was like, “What kind of gf would I be if I said that your brother was cuter?” He smiled at that and I think I was being kind of sassy. Usually the kind of sassy that’s reserved for when it’s just him and me, but since it was his last night I figured I could let loose a little bit more than usual. I lost Susan at one point and was looking all over for her and finally tracked her down, but she had gone out looking for me, and at one point I went out there and stood cause she knows to find me out there if I wait long enough, but it didn’t work. Bf’s gf came out while I was waiting for Susan and they made out probably, I didn’t look. I did ask him at one point how long his gf has been coming on Thursday nights and he said for quite a while, but then we got interrupted so I couldn’t finish my questioning. That one stupid goth bitch kept looking at me when I was looking for Susan, next time I’ll just say, What?! I finally decided it was time to go home and I knew that if I didn’t leave early enough he would already be upstairs with his pool playing gf “bb” so I wanted to catch him before he was done and just hanging out, but I was not in luck. So Susan waited downstairs while I ventured upstairs just planning on waving good bye to him. He was standing at the bar with the brother’s gf however, so I was brave enough to approach and went over to say good bye, and he opened his arms up for a hug (aww). Here is how our conversation went:
BF: “You’re going to come see me right?” ME: “Yeah, I think we’ll try.” BF: “Promise me you’ll come see me.” ME: “Ok, I promise. But I don’t think I can go to Cowgirls Inc, too many skanky girls.” BF: “You know I only have eyes for you.”
And with that, I smiled and said goodbye and headed downstairs to a waiting Susan. I then felt very sad and ran to my car and drove home.
It’s sad that it took him leaving to make me make the most of the night and talk to him. Otherwise I probably would have been all weird again last night, but I wasn’t and I think we’re back on track, the problem is I won’t be seeing him on a regular basis anymore to maintain that rapport. We’ll see how things go I guess. TBC…
Wednesday 10/12, B came over early in the day so he was there when I got home and he tried to get the heat to work but couldn’t, so I had to call Gramps and told him about it. We went to PCC to use my gift certificate, but I only used $60 of it, so I still have some extra to go again. I ended up not making anything for dinner though cause I was tired. The three of us watched ANTM and then Veronica Mars because Courtney Taylor-Taylor was on, he’s so fucking hot and totally worth watching the show for.
Tuesday 10/11, Got home early cause of driving Peggy to the airport so I laid in bed and watched Closer and then watched tv and talked with Susan for the rest of the night.
Monday 10/10, Susan and I watched Kissed, a movie about a necrophiliac girl who works at a funeral home and has access to all sorts of young dead studs. It really was a little disturbing and I’m surprised I didn’t have weird dreams, but it was a good movie. The guy was super creepy and I wish she wouldn’t have humored him, but she did and I can’t change the ending.
Sunday 10/9, Woke up and walked to the little Boulangerie on 45th and got a pain au chocolat and it was warm and delicious. We walked back and decided to run some errands to find boots for B and to look at stereo/cd stuff for me, so we went to Northgate and hit some places but didn’t buy, then to Fred Meyer where we didn’t have anymore luck, but I talked to Lish and then we got some ok BBQ, the cornbread was delicious though. Went back to B’s to meet up with his parents who then followed us to my house to look around and do a little work. B and his Dad changed out the utility outlets in my kitchen but then B and I spent hours trying to figure out why they wouldn’t work along with the microwave and had to go to Lowe’s and get a little electricity tool before we could figure it out much much later. After we did we settled onto the couch and vegetated for the rest of the night.
Saturday 10/8, B and I got up at a semi-reasonable hour and commenced with the chores and errands. We went to Costco and picked up some essentials and then to the store. After getting home I finished painting the entertainment area of my living room and Grandpa came over to look at some electrical stuff. Eventually we went back to B’s to spend the night, though none of his roommates were around so it was just us.
Friday 10/7, After work Susan and I went to Ross and I picked up some really cute (at least I think so!) kitchen and household items, then we went over to that Kitchen Basics store and onto Bed Bath and Beyond for more household items, this time a curtain to hang in front of the doorway. For dinner we went to Taco Time and stuffed ourselves then when we got home we were looking at the curtain and B came in so Susan hurried and threw the rug down in the kitchen and we couldn’t stop giggling and B was like, “What are you laughing at?!” and I told him about the rug, but he didn’t have any opinion on it. Susan then went up to bed and B and I did the same not too much later. Crashed, we were both tired.
Thursday 10/6, Last Thursday (boy it’s been a while since I’ve written) I went over to B’s as usual and we just hung out and talked about our relationship and things both of us are concerned about or feeling weird about, it was good. Then it was off to Neighbours where I was hoping the situation wouldn’t be weird with bf since the previous two times we’d gone his bb gf had been there hanging around playing pool. We get there and just say hi and go in, nothing interesting, probably went upstairs and then danced (the details are fuzzy since it was a week ago). Since I was on the prowl for a replacement bf I saw this guy with a number 3 on his coat and he was cute so he was my bf for the night....well initially anyway. He just stood next to the dance floor for a while and then later on he sat in a dark corner for like 2 hours, then this little space cleared on the floor and he took that as his cue to get on the floor and start BREAK DANCING. I was mortified. For myself and for him. Then Susan teased me saying, "That's your bf" but I wanted nothing to do with him after that. I think he sensed this because he left immediately after that. Then there was this girl that was killing Susan and me, she looks like she’s got polio when she dances, she kept dancing by us and we would both just be laughing like crazy. It was almost a circular shimmy, but not quite. The songs still kind of sucked which was bad because I didn’t want to stay inside when they sucked, but I couldn’t go outside cause I didn’t want to have to see my two-timing bf. But Susan and me did take a break and sat on the windows sill/stoop things and I had my back to him and he was all, “She’s talking trash isn’t she?” and I was all, "No I’m not," even though we probably were. We didn’t really get to talk to him at all because it was busy and I wasn’t going out there as often so it was kind of weird, even though my objective for the night was to not be weird, you know, to show it doesn’t bother me when he makes out with his gf in front of me. I really can’t remember any other interesting instances, and I think I went home a little later than usual but overall not a terribly exciting evening.
10/14 - Before I update my blog from the last week, I have to write this one because of something I found out about last night. I am very sad to say that my bouncer bf is no longer working at Neighbours as of today. He is going to work at Club Medusa and Cowgirls Inc, both yuck, but apparently they’re going to pay him much better than he’s getting paid now. This makes me sad because half the reason I enjoy going to Neighbours is because I get to see him and talk to him every week, despite how the past two weeks have panned out. Now what? Now who’s going to be my bf and scare away potential sleazy guys and rowdy lesbians? I even woke up still sad this morning. At least I’ll still get to see him if I can catch him at one or the other of the clubs once in a while, but really, who wants to go to Cowgirls Inc or Medusa? Not me, but I guess I’m going to start having to make an exception.
Wednesday 10/6, I relaxed and finished the edges of the wall I did and talked with Susan about her escapades with Dawn at the book signing. Watched ANTM and did work until 11:00, tiiiiiired.
Tuesday 10/4, Susan had a book signing to go to so I painted the one wall in the living room, touched up the hallway edges, put covers on the light and electrical sockets but had to paint the edges around them first and then relaxed.
Monday 10/3, B came over and then the three of us went to B&N to look for books for Susan. I taped to get the room prepped for painting, along with moving all of my shit out of the way.
Sunday 10/2, I woke up and got ready and headed over to Mom’s, ate some waffles, told her about the trannie, chatted with the sibs for a bit, then B showed up and we were out of there to go to his parent's and the party in Bremerton. Kind of bad driving weather but we made it there ok, hung with his parents for a little bit, looking at fine art on Costco.com and talking about the dogs. Headed over to JJ’s house for the party and there were children EVERYWHERE. Yikes, and a couple of hick types, but JJ was nice and the food was pretty good. Stayed for a little while then left and I slept on the car ride back and B dropped me at my car then I drove home and laid in bed for the rest of the day.
Saturday 10/1, we did house stuff. It took me forever to get out of bed and when I did B and I went to BB&B for a hand towel bar, to the BBQ place for lunch, then to Home Depot for some “real” nails and light switches. Did my grocery shopping and then went home. Watched LoTR III and did my collage for the entryway. I like it and put it up so now it’s more decorated. Made some french fries in the deep fryer then B went home and Susan and I started getting ready to go to Neighbours. I drove even though I was nervous about my insurance, but we got there fine and went up, bf lifted the rope for us to go in and we went upstairs. Not too long later bf came up and started making out with his gf (who was playing pool) and I couldn’t believe she was there again, so we eventually went down and started dancing to the trance-y music. Not too much to report, saw one guy who was trying (and sometimes succeeding) to make out with every girl in there. Yuck, he was gross. Susan and I only took one air break and went back in…it’s crazy on Saturday nights with the line going around the block. The trannie that loved my hair found me and danced with Susan and me, told me her name was Marissa along with various other personal facts, and told Susan and me that we made a great couple. Susan just smiled and said “Thanks!” We stayed out late but I think we were both in bed by 3:00. Very late night.
On Friday 9/30, I came home after work and relaxed then B came over and Susan and I made spaghetti for dinner with all of Susan’s ingredients. It was good. I think we went to bed early after watching a little tv.
