Thursday 12/8, I got up around 9:30 and headed home only to get stuck on traffic going across the I-90 bridge at a crawling pace. Hit Albertsons on the way and picked up some baking essentials then home. Susan was there due to a transistor failure or something at work so she kept me company for part of the day and helped do some dusting. I got to work right away baking some cookies for Ken’s birthday and talked to Mom about the jeans I want for Christmas and some other random stuff. After I finished those I got to work cleaning, I cleaned the sink, the downstairs bathroom, swept and mopped the floor and then cleaned my bathroom and rearranged some stuff. I took a much needed shower after that and got ready for the dinner, even though it was only like 1:30. I had some lunch and laid in bed for an hour watching reruns of ANTM from Cycle 3, geez, Yaya should have totally won, not Eva. Yuck. She looks like her name…Pig. Finally it was time for me to pick Jess up from the airport so I took off and hit some traffic along the way and some trouble parking at the airport but I finally figured it out and found Jess waiting down at baggage claim. We loaded up the car and made our way through traffic to my house where she changed and I showed her the place then we took off for Mukilteo. Traffic was really bad by this point and every lane on the freeway was at a stand still. Finally we made it up to the restaurant and we were early so we sat down and the semi-creepy waiter kept talking to us. Finally the rest of the party participants showed up and then Ken got there and was very shocked, so it totally worked and we all had a good time. I thought the food was good but Jessica thought it was just ok. After dinner I was going to take Jess to her Grandma’s house in Everett because her Dad and Linda had brought the little Mercedes and she couldn’t fit. So we went over there but couldn’t find the key to get in so we searched and made calls for about 45 minutes in the freezing cold and finally found out that there isn’t a key outside but that her Mom, Aunt and Grandma were on their way and would be there in 10 minutes so we should go sit on the reindeer on the front lawn to surprise her Grandma. It was pretty funny sitting on this thing and I’m surprised it didn’t collapse from both of us sitting on it…the feet didn’t sink 6 inches into the ground either, surprisingly. When they showed up they just sat in the car in the middle of the cul de sac staring at us, and we just waved and smiled. They finally drove up the driveway past us and her Grandma had the most confused / slightly horrified look on her face. It was pretty funny. I thought I was free and clear to head home at this point (because it was already around 11:00 at this point) but then her Grandma couldn’t find her keys in her purse, so the aunt starts to go through and everyone can hear them, but no one can find them. I think they were stuck in the lining in one of the 35 compartments and we finally got in. I saw the house and noticed that the couches were the exact same ones that I have, except hers are much more comfortable and in better condition. I ended up getting home kind of late and just went to bed instead of to Neighbours. I was just too tired.
Wednesday 12/7, I went over to B’s for the ANTM finale and all of us were huddled in anticipation in front of the tv, only to have Nichole win. Bleh, I hate her, I can’t even talk about it cause it still makes me so upset. It did make me feel better to hear from Susan that on the INDB boards they’re tearing her apart. Yay. Anyway, it was an early night since B still had to get up and work in the morning.

Yo! Pick one for dinner:
1. Homemade pizza margherita with a new pizza screen I got for birthday. Somewhat experimental but I have a rolling pin this time! And salad.
2. Crab cakes with garlic alioli/sweet-spicy sauce, green beans and jasmine rice.
3. Prik King Thai beef/green bean/mushroom/onion spicy dish with jasmine rice.
Oh! Or:
4. None of the above, I'll give you a better idea.
AND 6:00-ish works!
I think I pick pizza! Or we can see when I get there. See you at 6:00!
V. excited!
