Tuesday 4/11, Another evening of cleaning was on my agenda. I vacuumed the living room, stairs and my room. Did some laundry and took out the trash. I made cornbread for dinner even though B called and said he wasn’t going to come over because he would be too tired which really made me upset and question how the hell we’re going to have a relationship when he starts school and doesn’t have a car when we can’t even manage to see each other now when he’s not in school and does have a car. Many many things feel up in the air for me. Sooo, I was just hanging out watching Scrubs and when that was over I was going to go to bed but B called and said he was just leaving the nursery and wasn’t as tired as he thought he would be and wanted to know if I wanted him to come over so I said yes. We didn’t really talk at all but it was nice that he came over, it feels like forever since he’s been at my house during the week.

Monday 4/10, After work I was a cleaning machine and swept and vacuumed the main floor and did other random chores. I showered and got ready to go into Seattle to have dinner with Kassie and Shane, only Shane bailed because he didn’t feel good, so Chels was going to come but then she bailed because she didn’t feel good, so Kassie, Kate and I went to St. Cloud for a late dinner and it was delicious. I didn’t end up getting home until 11:30 or so.

Sunday 4/9, I woke up and got ready to go to brunch at Ernie and Erika’s house for follow up bar mitzvah activities. Kassie was supposed to pick me up at 10:00, but didn’t actually pick me up until 10:25, 5 minutes before the thing was supposed to start. We arrived a little late, but people were just starting so it worked out. Kassie had taken Shane back to her house the night before and they just hung out, but apparently UD wanted Kassie to hook up with him or something. Funny. We hung out and ate and I played with Adrien for a little while and was surprised when he actually let me hold him and carry him around. We chatted with Shane some more about coming to see him in Greece next summer since he’s gone down there every summer for like 13 years or something and he goes for like 3 months or something. V. exciting. Then Josh Charles showed up with this other guy Blue who gave a funny speech the previous night. We said hi to JC and told him we were leaving and he like shook our hands or something, it was like a hand-hold / hand-shake thing. We took off and Kassie dropped me back at B’s. B and I decided to go downtown to look at shoes at Nordstrom and then the Rack. I found a pair of teal patent leather Stuart Weitzman pumps that I wanted but couldn’t justify spending $50 on. Jessica called me while we were looking for shoes for B and confirmed plans for this weekend. I was a little irritated by the time we left the Rack because B decided he didn’t like the ties I picked out and said he would never wear something like them because they didn’t look professional. He noticed but didn’t say much more about it, then Mom called and said we weren’t doing dinner and B and I went back to his house. I think we just hung out a little bit before I decided to go home, which he didn’t protest, it’s kind of weird all of the things I’m thinking / feeling right now. I don’t know. So I went home and watched tv, talked to Dad and did a tiny bit of cleaning. I ate popcorn for dinner and went to sleep pretty early.

Saturday 4/8, I got up kind of early to get ready for Adam’s bar mitzvah and Dad called to see if I could come pick him up cause Mom threw her neck out or something. We got there right on time and I sat next to Jerry and Maddie. We were instructed to turn around and meet someone we didn’t come with so I met Shane sitting behind me and, at that point, had no idea who he was. The service was 2 hours long, and I felt every minute of it. When it was over I took off to go home, ate some lunch, did a little kitchen cleaning then crawled back in bed to watch the final episodes of SatC and relax before the bar mitzvah festivities resumed for the evening. I got dressed and headed out, only to get there a little early and since I didn’t want to be the only one there I circled the block once and got lost, but eventually found my way into the Convention Center parking garage. I met up with a family in the garage and we all tried to find the ACT Theatre together, which took a while. They had a red carpet theme complete with bouncer and paparazzi taking photos. I felt a little less than red carpet and being by myself felt kind of silly. I went upstairs and found members of my family and hung out up there with drinks and pu pus. I noticed this kind of cute guy about 5 feet away and kept kind of looking at him, because well, he was cute, then after about 5 minutes, I realized that I recognized him but didn’t know from where. I also recognized one of the creepy photographers, so it didn’t seem that weird that some random guy at the party seemed familiar as well. About 5 minutes after that, I realized that this guy has been in a movie or movies I’ve seen, but where do I recognize him from? A while later I tracked down my uncle David and asked who the famous guy over there was, and he told me his name but I didn’t recognize him, then he said “He’s been in Dead Poets Society” blah blah, a few other movies, I said no I haven’t seen any of those, I feel like I’ve seen him in a comedy. Uncle David was like “Do not say “Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead”” and I was like, OH MY GOD, that’s it! He’s the boyfriend in DTMtBD. Crazy! Shane introduces himself to me again, but I told him we already met at the bar mitzvah, he was all, Oh yeah! We all finally sit down to have dinner and guess who I’m sitting next to? No, not Josh Charles, Shane. I talked to Uncle David for the first part of dinner and to Shane for the second part of dinner. Turns out he’s not 30, like I thought, but instead 24 lives in Italy, was born in Austria, lived in Greece until he was 6, then moved to NY and is now back living in Europe and going to school. He is a fascinating person, really easy to talk to, and kind of sexy in his own way. Except that he’s Uncle David’s (Quinn, not Michael) half brother, soooo, that means that he’s my step-dad’s step-sister’s husband’s half-brother. Confused yet? So we’re not really related, like at all. So I could make out with him if I wanted to, but I don’t because I’ve got B. Kassie finally showed up as dinner was almost over (she had been sick for the previous two days and couldn’t attend prior bar mitzvah events) then they brought out the chocolate fountain stocked with strawberries, marshmallows, pretzels, Milano cookies, pineapple and Nutter Butter cookies. It was very good to say the least. The other desserts were good too. Then the dancing started and we were all out there and “bringing it”. The photogs loved our group cause we were really living it up, even Mom and Dad were getting super into it and it was hilarious. We finally bugged Uncle David (Quinn) to introduce us to his famous friend so he told one of the photographers to come to and get our picture with him. I got one with my camera too. Kassie told him she knew his secret and he asked which one, and she said Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead, then he looked at me and I told him I have it on DVD. Then after we’d gotten the pictures and thanked him he was like touching my arm and then my back as I walked away. It was kind of funny. I finally took off around 10:45 and the party was still well underway, but I was told later that it was shut down 15 minutes after I left. I drove over to B’s and told some stories to his roommates before we both hit the sack.

Friday 4/7, I stayed at home for the evening. Susan and I watched America’s Funniest Home Videos and laughed our asses off. Then I believe I watched Sex and the City or something.
