Monday 5/29, Got up and went for a walk with Susan down to the little park by our house, which I never knew actually has access to the lake. That was really nice, then I did some work and on the way back I hit the store for groceries and easy bake cookies for an evening at Kay-See’s house. I went home and read for most of the afternoon until it was time to bake and take off. When I got to her house we went through nail polishes and lipsticks and she took what she wanted so now I think I’m just going to throw the rest out because I don’t really use those items very often. We went to the little Thai place across the street and I unloaded about B and all of the things that had happened during the week. We went back to her house after and chatted and ate cookies until her roommate came home and I left not too long after that. I read more before going to bed.
Sunday 5/28, Rainy crappy day to wake up to. Susan and I went to Lowe’s for a screen and some batteries for me, then to Costco so I could return the old battery out of my car and get my disposal fee back, then into Costco where I picked up some staples. We went back to the house, unloaded, loaded up her car to go down to the U-District and took off. She sold off her stuff then we went to Tower where I picked up my Q. We got some pizza for lunch then walked down to the Metro to see Friends with Money because Susan had passes. After we went to the bathroom and came downstairs I look over toward the snack bar and lo and behold there stands Hakim, in town for Shua’s birthday or something so they were seeing X-Men. It was good to see him and chat for a minute but then we both had to get into our theaters. Our movie was ok, had some funny bits but a little disjointed. We hit Trader Joe’s then went home. I lounged for a little while before going over to Mom and Dad’s for dinner with the fam. I stayed longer than I usually do because I didn’t have anywhere I needed to be. Watched the Brady Wedding show and went to bed.
Saturday 5/27, I woke up feeling ok and showered and started getting ready because I was going to hang out with C & S. C called me while I was getting ready and told me to come over whenever, so I told her I would call B after I got off the phone and make sure he would still put my battery in. He said it was fine and was a little shocked when I told him that I was hanging out with his roommates. It was pouring in Bellevue so I was surprised when I started driving in that there were some blue skies and no rain in Seattle. I got there and B helped me put my battery in after cleaning off the battery acid and such. Then C & S and I left to go look for garage sales and antique stores. We went to one then to Gorditos for lunch where we chatted mostly of B and J. Ha, BJ. That’s funny. Anyway, then we went to the antique store next door and I found so much stuff I wanted but I didn’t buy anything, despite the encouragement I was receiving from C & S. We went to Value Village after that and I wasn’t even tempted by anything there, but then we went to Goodwill and I picked up some books. Chrystol was going to buy me the “Men Who Can’t Love” book which states on the cover how to spot commitment phobic men and their traits so you’re not left brokenhearted. I could have used that book about a year ago. We went back to their house after that and I left to go home to rainy Bellevue. Susan and I watched Breakfast on Pluto and I thought it was pretty good, some definite Velvet Goldmine moments but an entertaining movie. I read before going to bed.
