Monday 5/8, After work I hit the store then home and did one of Susan’s yoga videos for about 40 minutes. Then I made some dinner and sat up in my room watching tv. Court called and I talked to her for a while and she sent me the five stages of grief cause it’s been harder than I thought to get over Grandma’s death and I think yesterday was the first day I hadn’t cried for some reason so I’m trying to figure out what’s going on with my emotions. I put some new pictures up on flickr then read and went to bed.
Sunday 5/7, We woke up at 10 and B made me some toast then I ate one of the pancakes Jen and Jason made. Aubrey came home and her and B were switching rooms so that got underway. I gained another bargaining tool by helping him move all of his shit out of his room, down the stairs into the living room, then into his new room after Aubrey moved her stuff. Schuyler helped too and we came up with new song titles and lyrics, some of the best being “Lay beaver lay, lay across my big bed” or “Lay across my big face” then Schuyler came up with the best “shaved to perfection, guaranteed to induce erection” (it was better than this, but I can’t remember it exactly) then we’d spent the previous night and morning coming up with new “Beaver” song titles, such as “Achiever Beaver” (a girl with good grades), “Griever Beaver” (a widow), “Believer Beaver” (a religious girl), “Fever Beaver” (a girl who’s sick) the list goes on and on really, and they’re all hilarious. Ok, back to the move, we finally got ready and left the house around 1:30 to begin seeing the open houses. C and S said they would call us and maybe meet up to see a few of the houses later. We first went up to CH and saw a hung $3m mansion then a littler house. Then we headed over to QA and saw the house I’d seen the day before, C and S called so me met at a house where the open house was already over, so we headed over to GL and saw one there that wasn’t that impressive. After that we went to Laurelhurst together and that was the favorite of everyone cause it was so cute and well done. We got to that one just in time. We went back to B’s after that and hung out for a little bit before I left to go to Mom’s for dinner. Hung out there until about 7:40 then went home and started some laundry, watched my tv shows and went to bed.
Saturday 5/6, B and I got up around 8:45 so that we could walk to the store for breakfast and then he could make his eye appointment at 10:15. I got yogurt and an apple, healthy! When we got back we just sat and talked with Schuyler and Chrystol, then B left so I stayed and talked with them, then when B got back we all walked up the street to go to a yard sale and the church rummage sale across the street. I got a “Young Players” version of Trivial Pursuit (I didn’t look very closely before buying did I?) and 3 books. This was the beginning of the end for me at the day’s garage sales. B decided he didn’t want to make me any lunch and that he wanted to go play pickle ball so Chrystol and Schuyler took me under their garage sale-ing wings and showed me the ropes for most of the afternoon. First we went to one on the other side of 45th where I got my lunch, a black bottom cupcake. None of us left with anything besides that muffin. Next we headed up to Queen Anne and looked for signs, we found a multi family sale with a free pile so I got a couple of little bowls and shallow muffin pans, while Schuyler got a spoon rest that looks like a cat that we named Maitre-Chat. Maitre-Chat loves to shop at garage and yard sales, just like us. Chrystol bought a little orange glass. Schuyler caught me talking to myself while rummaging through the free pile. Then we hit another one (and passed a house I wanted to see the next day) where this crazy old woman talked me into buying a cast iron teddy bear pan for making muffins or cupcakes. She also talked me into buying another set of pear salt and pepper shakers. Then Schuyler made a terrific discovery, the big old people glasses B has been looking for everywhere, so I got those for $.10, the other two items set me back $3. After that one we went up to Phinney Ridge and hit an estate sale where I pretended to be retarded wearing my new sunglasses and kept asking “How much for the lot?”. There were some weird things at the estate sale, but the funnest part was in the basement of the house looking at the old school shitter and trying to hatch an escape plan for getting some of the junk out of the basement without paying for it. We finally returned back to the house and shared our treasures. B’s face was hilarious when I walked in with my new sunglasses. I told Chrystol and Schuyler that I wanted to see 6 open houses the next day and that my bargaining tools were the sunglasses and that I let him go play pickle ball without me. B and I were both hungry so we went to an early dinner at some Chinese place on 45th, we walked, and it was fairly overpriced for what it was. After we got back we just sat on the couch all evening watching episodes of X-Files. B and I had a talk whilst in bed and I cried a little, but I guess the bottom line is that everything is fine, but I have sort of prepared myself now for him breaking up with me.
Friday 5/5, I went home after work and hung out with Susan until about 8:30 then she left and I showered and got redressed and did my hair and headed off to B’s for the weekend. We watched AFV until 10 then some home special came on with a crazy guy with permed blonde hair who builds and sells $150m homes. Yikes. We all went to bed not too much later.
