Sunday 6/4, I got up around 8:30 to go get gas in my car and pick up my groceries for the week then came back and laid in bed. I finally decided around 11 to get up and go for a walk, but I was so exhausted that I had a hard time making it back. I showered and started to get ready to go to Kay-See’s, but she wasn’t feeling well so we rescheduled and I laid in bed for most the rest of the day. When Susan got home we went down to the Rack and I got some bright red Puma walking pants. While I was gone Willie had called me so I called him back but he didn’t answer but eventually called me back and we probably talked for about an hour total (we had one interruption) and talked about all sorts of things. I think I might be slightly smitten with him, but mostly it’s just because I think that he’s a really great person and he’s so funny and easy to talk to. A girl needs that in a boy once in a while. So we have tentatively planned to get together, but we’ll have to see when it actually happens. Susan and I watched A Brady Wedding or whatever it’s called and then turned in for the night.
Saturday 6/3, I set my alarm for 7:00 and got up about 15 minutes later. The weather was nice out so I decided to get ready and attempt my hike up Little Si. I prepared a snack, grabbed my water and was out the door. I got lost on my way there, like 3 times, due to conflicting directions given by different websites. I finally found it and started my hike at 8:30. I was hauling ass up that mountain, but as I got deeper and deeper into the woods, I started getting paranoid. I finally saw one girl coming down, and expected to see many more from what I’ve read on websites and heard from other hikers, but that was it. As I got to where the rock climbing area is I was hearing growling far off in the distance, and though I wasn’t positive it wasn’t a bear, I was trying to figure out if the possibility of getting eaten by a bear was worth getting to the top. I decided yes for the time being (I really wanted to make it to the top, I wasn’t even tired!). That is until I saw something black at the top of the hill I was climbing. I thought it was a bear but then decided it was a large stump. That was enough for me, my heart was racing, there was no one around and making it to the top wasn’t worth the paranoia. I turned around and hauled even more ass to the bottom. I passed about 7 groups of people as I made my descent. Where were all these people when I needed them? Next time I go by myself I’m bringing that bear mace so I can make it to the top. I made it back down by about 9:40 and was home by 10:00. I ate my snack when I got there then took a shower. I read my book for a while then Susan came in and gave me a magazine and there was an article about breakups and that one of the best ways to start to get over someone is to hook up or make out with someone you’ve had a crush on or a friend you find attractive. This is supposed to remind you that you will be attracted to other people again. If a nationally recognized magazine is promoting this, I better board that train and ride it as far as I can. I started to think about Andy and that it would be fun to go down to Cowgirls Inc and flirt with him. I was just daydreaming at this point. I wanted to get out of the house a little later and asked Susan if she wanted to go to an antique store with me so we set off in the muggy weather and looked at all kinds of things at this antique place and I found the cutest tea set that I wanted very badly but would have been a couple hundred dollars by the time the whole thing was purchased, so needless to say, I didn’t buy it. After that we went to Sweet Addition where I got a piece of chocolate toffee cheesecake (yes, it was delicious) and Susan asked me on a scale of 1 to 10 how much I was really considering going out for the night. I said a 7. I called Kassie to see if I could get a dance party going and she said she would consider going out and that Chels really wanted to go dancing that night and to call her. So I did and I told her my plan and asked her if she wanted to go and she said “Hellll yeaaah!”. So it was set. We were going out to Cowgirls Inc to try and find Andy. This is where the problem is though, my hopes were high, but what if he didn’t work there anymore and no one knew where he’d gone? That was going to put a damper on the whole night. I tried to push those thoughts out of my head but was being cautious so I wouldn’t totally be let down. I called Chrystol to see if she wanted to go and she did so we started the planning. Kassie wasn’t really cooperating with the planning process and I knew then I probably wouldn’t be seeing her even though her and Chels agreed they wanted to go to Cowgirls Inc to meet us. Oh well. I got ready and looked pretty fantastic if I do say so myself. Susan and I set out to pick up Chrystol and made our way down to Pioneer Square. I never got lost but we definitely took the scenic route and I knew the place as soon as I saw it. The line was around the block so we found parking and began our wait. I was so nervous, but then I spotted him working the exit door. I tried to get his attention a few times but it didn’t work. Finally he looked in my direction and I smiled at him and kind of put my head down and looked at him real sassy-like and he acknowledged me by bowing his head and smiling. As we waited in the long ass line I kept smiling at him and he would smile back, it was very exciting. Ha. Ok, so we got closer to the door he was working and I finally went up to him but this stupid girl was asking him all these stupid questions and he was getting annoyed but she finally left and I said hi and he put his arms out for a hug, and of course I obliged, then that stupid girl came back so I asked him real quick what the cover was and went back to stand in line. We finally got in and it was so crowded that we just stood by the mechanical bull and watched people fall off. Chrystol and I went to the bathroom then watched the girls dancing on the bar and headed back over to Susan. We decided we’d had enough because there wasn’t even a dance floor, so I plotted my next move with Andy and moved in. He asked us if we were leaving already and we told him we were going to Neighbours, and I said that he should go to Neighbours on Thursday cause I was going to go. He said he might have to work but he’d try cause he hadn’t been up there forever. There were these two guys ogling me while I was talking to him and I should have told them that Andy was my bf and to stop looking at me, but I didn’t. I’ve been keeping my fingers crossed since then that he goes on Thursday, but since he said he's been working like crazy at CI I’m not sure how much luck I can count on this week. Soooo, we drove up to Capitol Hill, parked, waited in line barely missing the midnight $8 cover cutoff. We went in and I showed Chrystol around then we went out and started dancing. Susan danced with Phillip on the stage and C and I watched and danced below. I saw Richie trip on the stairs behind C and tried to get his attention but he didn’t hear me. Then I look over and see Kyle (Kay-See’s Kyle) and look over even farther, and who is it? KAY-SEE. I had called her earlier in the evening and left a message asking her if she wanted to go to Cowgirls Inc, but figured she had other plans, well now we knew what they were. So, I run over and start dancing with her and we’re all very excited about each other’s presence. Hugs all around, then they came and danced with us by the stairs. They left after a little while then Margo came and danced with us and I was swiveling my hips and she was like, “I better quit now!” it was funny. We danced for quite a while until about 1:30. The music and crowd were both really good so we stayed longer than I would have thought, but I had so much fun. We left and drove C home and then back to Bellevue. A very successful evening, especially on so little planning. Yay!
