Wednesday 6/21, Stayed late at work again and didn’t have time to walk before going over to Kay-See’s for dinner, so I just showered and relaxed until 6:30 then grabbed my salad-fixins and headed out. I got there and she was busy preparing a delicious wheat pasta with veggie marinara combination and I pretty much watched because I’m not much help in the kitchen besides stirring something once in a while. We ate and gossiped about all sorts of things, but one of the highlights was our discussion about the independent pirate film I’m looking into purchasing. It’s received rave reviews and a little bit of pirate action could really improve my outlook on life. Um, sure. I always have so much fun hanging out with Kay-See, mostly because of the fun conversations we have, but it also helps that she puts yummy food in my belly. And speaking of yummy food she made this strawberry/balsamic vinegar/brown sugar/yogurt dessert that was so good that I went to the store this morning and purchased some vanilla yogurt to create my own delightful dessert this evening. Yum! I even bought a peach to see how it goes with a variety of fruits (I have blueberries too!). When I got home I crawled into bed and read for a little while then went to sleep.
Tuesday 6/20, Stayed an hour late at work so Susan and I went on a short walk after work because I was tired and hungry. Um, I can’t remember what else.
Monday 6/19, I stayed a little late at work to get some overtime and to also help prep for the big meeting on Friday. When I got home Susan and I took a walk and went up the switchbacks twice and got a decent workout. Ate some dinner, called Mom and talked to her a bit and hung out for the rest of the night.
Sunday 6/18, Dad called me around 9:00 and we chatted for a bit, I wished him a happy Father’s Day then talked to Auntie Heidi, Rose and Aubs. Susan and I went for a walk and didn’t want to go back because it was so nice outside, but we eventually did. When we got back I got the ladder up from the garage and finished painting the stairwell going to the upstairs. It was a little nerve wracking because I couldn’t really reach some parts so I was holding onto the ladder for dear life and leaning into those spots and I eventually got them all. So now it’s done! Susan left to go do errands downtown so I had the house to myself for the rest of the afternoon. I went grocery shopping and watched Sex and the City until I fell asleep. Mom called at 4:40 to tell me they were leaving for Outback for Father’s Day, so I groggily got up and drove down there. Since I had a late lunch I only had a bowl of onion soup and a salad, though Grandma shared her steamed veggies with me so that was nice. It was a pleasant dinner, if not a bit too early. I went home after that and laid around editing blogs for the rest of it until the Brady show came on so Susan and I watched it downstairs then retired to our rooms.
