Wednesday 8/2, I went home and showered after work then rushed out the door up to Kirkland so I wouldn’t get stuck in traffic. My first stop was the tile store and I think I found my tile and at $1 per tile I feel pretty good about my choice. Back when I was looking at glass tile the cost was around $6-7 per tile. Ouch. Since the place I found it at doesn’t do installation I called Jan and asked him if he could recommend someone to install, so he gave me a name and now I need to get the details. After that I walked over to Costco Home just to fill some time and I ended up falling in love with a couch, and it’s significantly cheaper than the one I was considering at Dania and it will fit better in my space. I was very excited and almost impulse purchased right there. They have 8 currently in stock so I have a little time to think it over. I need to take care of tile first then get the new couch. First things first. After I was done daydreaming about that I decided to go over to Dania just to make sure that my new found love really was that much better than the Dania one, and when I sat on it and looked at it I realized that the one at Costco really is the one for me. How exciting. When I got to Dania I called Chrystol and asked her if I brought the travel gear over later that night if it would be ok; I would have to run it by Kay-See but if she were up for it then we could come in and drop the stuff off. Both of the gals agreed so it was a plan. After wandering around Dania and concluding that many of their items are severely overpriced I headed down to the bank by Kay-See’s condo and made my deposit then called Kay-See to see if she was ready for me to come over. She was so I did. She had already started the pizzas (which were cooked on the grill, delicious!) and the Key Lime Pie was in the oven. I helped by spreading the dough out, otherwise she took care of everything. Right in the middle of our dinner preparations B called and I kind of blew him off telling him that I was busy but I was going to be over there later in the evening but he said he would be in bed because C & S wouldn’t be home until 10, so I told him I would just have to catch him later then. It was kind of weird, but felt good to be the disinterested party, until I hung up the phone at least, then Kay-See and I dissected and analyzed the conversation. Then our pizza was done and we gobbled it down and started making another one. They were both very good, especially good were the peppers and basil. I called C to see if she would be home earlier and she said that B didn’t know what he was talking about and that if I left in 15 minutes they would home, so we drove over there and chatted with them until 10:15 or so then zoomed back to Kay-See’s house to see Keith Michael or whatever get kicked off Project Runway and have a piece of Key Lime Pie. I was so incredibly full from those little wheat pizzas that I couldn’t finish my pie. I even woke up this morning still full. Amazing!

Tuesday 8/1, I got off of work early because for the month of August I get to leave the office at 3:30, yay, so I went to Costco and picked up a few necessities then went home and went for my long walk. I was very tired by the end but I’m glad I did the long one and didn’t puss out and do the shorter one, it felt good. I made some food then did some research on Germany in my room then Susan and I watched our shows then I did more research in my room, talked to Aubs on the phone and she wants me to get a birthday picture with Andy on Saturday, not sure about that one. I finally tucked myself in around 10:30.

Monday 7/31, I took the French guy who is staying with Peggy and Jim (his name is Andre) out to the Seattle Center to see an IMAX show. He’s very nice, and we chatted the whole time. We saw Sea Deep 3-D which was narrated by Johnny Depp and Kate Winslet so I loved that, and the footage was so cool and beautiful. I’d love to see some other IMAX shows if any of my two readers are ever interested. After work Susan and I walked down to the little park by the house and walked up and down twice for some good exercise. I was exhausted by the time we got back and prepared my salad and leftover pizza for dinner and we watched the Wheel. I went up to my room and ended up getting totally engrossed in my blog about getting married in the next two years. Maybe I’ll post it on here too. We’ll see.
