Tuesday 2/13, Worked late to make some extra $ then went to the store and picked up items to make my zucchini and tomato casserole recipe. When I got home I got started on it right away, and let me say that it was not only really easy it didn’t take any time to prep. The best part is it tasted wonderful. It was so delicious I ate almost half of the 10” finished product. I watched some Teen Jeopardy and picked out my favorite hot teen then did a little more cat research and eventually ended up in my room watching reruns of I <3 NY and talking to Susan on the phone. Finished W before going to bed.
Monday 2/12, Spent some time down the lake and got home a little before 8. Ate some veggies and an apple for dinner then went up to my room, watched some tv then talked to Susan and went to bed.
Sunday 2/11, I woke up around 7 again and decided to get up and go for a walk and it felt so good listening to Gorillaz and walking in the rain, I couldn’t do anything but smile while I strutted through my workout. When I returned I backed my car out of the garage and began rearranging and hauling stuff down, swept all the shit up and overall got everything organized. It was fantastic. Did some laundry then noticed I had missed Kay-See’s call so called her back and we made plans to go into Ballard because she had to hit Fred Meyer and I suggested we go to a fantastic establishment where my bf Michael works. I jumped into the shower and got ready in record time and to Kay-See’s a little before noon. I picked her up and we headed into Ballard, parked and walked over to HL to put our name in. We had a little wait but our request to sit in Michael’s section was granted. I got the Fancy French Toast and it was delicious (two days in a row of scrumptious breakfast food) as was Kay-See’s omelet and those potatoes, oh my, those potatoes! We had great conversation and even better food and scenery (Michael) and made plans for next Sunday. We said bye to our hot waiter then headed down to Sonic Boom where I bought a Smashing Pumpkins single and the Editors cd, then we continued down that side of the street, across at the end then back up the other side stopping in random little shops and being good by not buying anything. Well, except we stopped in the cupcake shop and got a red velvet with cream cheese frosting then continued on our way to Ballard Ave stopping in random boutiques and furniture shops, one of which was the shop with the chair I have loved for a year+ and Kay-See approved, but we moved on quickly. Went down to Ok Ok, walked back up to the car and headed down to Golden Gardens for a drive by. We hit Fred Meyer for a few things then did a drive by of the Palisades and eventually headed back to Kay-See’s where I dropped her off. I drove home and looked at the Humane Society website for a furry friend that both Susan and Kay-See are urging me to acquire. I went over to Mom’s for dinner with a detour to pick up Jake and we had enchiladas with spinach tortillas, yum! Then we had homemade berry cobbler and it was wonderful. I talked with Grandma a little after dinner then took off. Called Courtney on the way there and got an update from her on wedding plans and other things then watched tv and settled into bed. I didn’t really pay attention to Desperate Housewives because I was sending Michael pictures and doing other computer-y things. Read a little then went to sleep before 11.
Saturday 2/10, At 7:07 K and S got the shower running and as I was attempting to fall back asleep found it impossible so I got up about 15 minutes later. I noticed Kay-See’s cookies were missing off the counter so I took my cereal upstairs and rapped on the door three times and grumbled “Where are my cookies?” Skylar cowered in fear but I told him it was ok. We all sat and talked for about an hour then they finally rolled out and I decided to climb back into bed to watch some OC, called Susan to make some plans for later and finally pulled my ass out of bed for good and went through a huge box of clippings in the living room. About one I took off to Susan’s and we started walking toward Volunteer Park. I saw the house that I used to be in love with when B and I were dating and it brought back all sorts of memories though I didn’t have much time to dwell because soon we were in the park and enjoying the scenery. We climbed the water tower and took some pictures then moseyed down toward the, um, place where they keep all the plants…I don’t remember what it’s called. We were so hot in there that the pictures we took were pretty funny, plus looking at all the plants and flowers was fun. I think the hydrangeas and orchids are my favorite. We headed back to Susan’s and stopped at the bakery but decided to go to Costal Cafe instead to get a late lunch. We made fun of the disgruntle couple in line ahead of us and eventually got seated in the back. I ordered the goat cheese rumble which included caramelized onions, sage and spinach and was one of the most delicious things I’ve had in a long time. To show how much I loved it I ate the whole damn thing. After we got out of there we went over to Sonic Boom where I bought two used cds: Beaulah and Graham Coxon and also the Good, the Bad and the Queen. We then went to QFC so I could get Seattle magazine and find Sean’s blip (he won Best Up and Coming Stylist) but also took the opportunity to buy a donut which I quickly regretted because I was so full. Bleh. We walked back to Susan’s but I took off shortly afterward because we both wanted to nap. I got home around 4, climbed into bed, watched some OC then fell asleep for a little while. When I woke up I didn’t want to get out of bed so I stayed there for the rest of the night and felt incredibly, uselessly lazy. Shame on me. I vowed to get more done the next day.
