Wednesday 2/7, Kay-See and I had plans to go over to Cory and Richie’s for dinner so when I got a message from Cory on myspace I figured it would contain plans for the evening and I wasn't surprised. I was, however, surprised by the content. Here’s a little taste: Hey there Karrah!! I just want you to know how much I like you and that I think about us being together sometimes. See you tonight! Hmm. I tried to deflect and told her I was excited too and asked if I could bring anything. I got a harmless message back so I figured all was good. Two hours later however I got this little gem in my inbox: Hey there.. are you bringing your overnight bag? I guess we'll address the serious stuff later tonight. Wink, wink***** hugs **** This did not seem harmless. I deflected again saying that I didn’t know I was invited for a sleepover but that I had to work in the morning. I wanted to call Kay-See so badly but she was having her first day at work and would be busy doing important stuff and not have time for my crises. I called her on my way home and she eventually called me back as I was cleaning up the kitchen and preparing to make a batch of chocolate chip cookies to take over to Cory and Richie’s. After I read her the messages she says “I wish you could see my face right now”. So we discussed and made plans to meet up before going over to C and R’s. I continued making my cookies and cleaning then Susan called and I read her the messages too and she goes “You’re going to be a lesbian tonight!” which made me a little nervous but I knew I would have backup (Kay-See. She’s the jealous type). I showered and got ready and eventually got out the door a bit after 7, called Willie on my way and talked to him until I arrived at my usual parking spot, got buzzed in to Kay-See’s building and headed upstairs. I got a great hug and we started talking about her first day at the new job and she offered me one of her famously delicious chocolate chip cookies, they put mine to shame really. She ended up wrapping them all up for me and putting a big sign that said “Please Eat Me” on the package. Oh, I will. We walked over and Richie let us in where we found Cory cooking up a storm and Neil reading up on events in The Stranger. We settled in, started chatting and eating some delicious little mushroom tarts. Richie and Cory served up a fantastic salad in some really cute shell shaped bowls and while we were eating Cory requested everyone’s attention and said she had something funny to share, which happened to be her messages to me on myspace and how her and Richie had been playing T or D the night before and he dared her to do it and they choreographed the whole thing and when I hadn’t delivered the desired response Cory called Richie who replied “We have to go farther!” and came up with the second message. We were all laughing pretty hard and I’m a little flattered that I was the target of a dare, those crazy kids! Cory then served us up this crazy hot veggie and brown rice dish…and I’m not just saying it was hot because I have no tolerance, it was so hot that all of us were sweating and crying a little. Cory didn’t even eat hers and urged all of us to not eat if we didn’t want to. It tasted really good it was just really really hot, even with Richie’s “Duller downer.” After dinner we broke the cookies out and Richie asked about them to which I replied that I whipped them up after work and Richie laughed at me and called me sassy or something because he thought I said “picked them up” and that I had then put them into a tuperware for effect. Kay-See brought Apples to Apples, a fantastic game that puts no pressure on any particular player. We played two games and I won both! Go figure! Two of my best rounds were 1) Hot – Hiroshima 2) Melodramatic – Helen Keller (Everyone knew it was my card because I couldn’t stop laughing). I cannot stress enough how fun this game was, I’m even contemplating buying it, gasp! After we finished the second round Kay-See and I took off and let me in to snag those yummy cookies she made then I drove home and arrived a little after 11:00. Pretty late for a non-Thursday-night worknight.

Tuesday 2/6, I went down to Loehmann's and tried on a bunch of stuff but didn't love any of it so I headed over to the Factoria mall. First up was Target where I got a PS shirt and a tea pot, then to DSW where I didn't find any silver shoes, then to N. Rack where I found some ok shoes. At home I was incredibly lazy watching OC and laying on the couch. I vowed to eat a healthy and light dinner so I steamed some fresh broccoli and ate it up, delicious! I then ate an apple with peanut butter, but that was not enough to satisfy me so I ate some little chocolates then a bowl of Girl Scout Thin Mint Cookie ice cream. You’d think that would have satisfied me, especially since I was trying to eat light…nope, I proceeded to eat AN ENTIRE BAG OF MICROWAVE POPCORN. Shame on me. I felt really guilty afterward, though not guilty enough to stick my finger down my throat or anything drastic after that. That’s pretty much all I did, eat and watch OC.

Monday 2/5, I conquered my short walk after work then proceeded to be lazy and not do any of the things I had wanted to do…except take out the trash, I did that. I watched a bunch more OC Season 2 episodes then decided to call Trevor and we had a pretty good, if not short, conversation and made plans to do something on Thursday, “Whether it be going to Neighbours or walking around downtown” hm, sounds good to me Trevor. Easy girl, remember your stance on boys right now. He answered the phone “No way” which I thought was a funny, if not creative, greeting. I watched more OC then cleaned up the kitchen and headed upstairs to bed.
