Monday 7/30, No late night text, no early morning message. No nothing all day until I changed my status to "Karrah is ugly and boring" then he left me a flattering comment, but no apology for not calling or ditching my ass so I got madder and vowed to call him in the evening because I needed to at least let him know that flakiness bothers me (4th time at that). I can't really expect him to read my mind but I just figured it's kind of common courtesy and respectful to call someone when you're totally blowing off plans you had with them. For another girl. Assuming. Peggy let me leave at 3:30 so I made some phone calls when I got home: fixed Court and my hotel reservations, gave her Eliso's parent's number, called Uncle Larry for Kelly's number and chatted with him a bit, talked to Eliso and lastly to Doug about wedding presents. I went on my long walk to blow off some steam and to get some exercise for once this frickin summer and felt great when I got back. I took a shower and blew off some more steam if you know what I mean, so by the time I got out I was in a great mood and thought the whole N situation was getting funnier by the minute instead of making me madder. I called Susan as I was fixing my dinner and filled her in and listened to her boy drama. I got ready and took off to the mall around 7 for a dress for Sos' wedding and struck out at J Crew but scored at Nordstrom in the TBD dept. I ended up with three dresses and they're all so cute and I'm totally wearing one for my birthday party. It's pink. And adorable. The girl was so helpful that I never would have found the cutest dress if it weren't for her. Next up was Victoria's Secret because I had a $10 off anything card and I needed a strapless bra for my new dress so I tried one on, it fit, I purchased and was out of there and calling Mom. Unfortunately, one of the hearts fell out of my ear and I think it was in there, but after calling they claim they didn't find it. Wah! I only had them reunited for a week and a half! Talked to Mom about N and my party as I drove home. Arrived there around 9, called N at 9:30 and left a vm for him to call me back when he got a chance...and surprise surprise, he didn't call me back. I could see that he was on myspace even though his "Online Now" icon is disabled, you can still see if someone's online if you go to your mailbox and look at their picture from a previously sent or received message, so I knew his ass was on myspace so this perplexed me even more. I decided to turn my computer off and read for a while and eventually turned in.

Sunday 7/29, I woke up when Mom and Dad were pulling out (7:00) and Dad yelled up to me that they were leaving so I sleepily got up and said bye and I loved them. I couldn't really fall back asleep so I got my book out and started reading and was soon fast asleep. I woke up at 9:15, got up, started packing my things and told K and R they could stay and hang out if they wanted but I wanted to get back over to the other side to get some stuff done around the house, to avoid traffic and to be a sloth for the afternoon with N. I left and it took me exactly 2 hours and 8 minutes. I fed J, showered and started putting some things away. I called N at 12:30 and left a voice mail that I was home and asked if he still wanted to hang out. I didn't hear right back from him so I crawled into bed and started reading again...but thought it was weird that he wasn't calling back. I ended up falling asleep until about 3 and checked myspace when I woke up and he had sent me a message at 1:30 (hmm, why not just call? it would take 2 minutes) saying he was going to visit his Dad in the hospital and that plans were fuzzy for the evening because he had laundry. Really? I'm getting ditched for laundry? Ouch. Whatever. Then at the end it said "Will give you a ring later on?" and signed Charismo. So I was a little irritated, but told myself to get over it as he was visiting his Pops. I did some work around the house and put some of my furniture back then headed to Grandma's to pick her up for dinner. It had been like 3.5 weeks since I'd seen her and felt bad, but she looked good and wanted to know all about boys and whatnot so I filled her in. I was a little cranky and she noticed that, I think it's because I was tired and irritated at myself (and at Nick) for sitting around doing nothing all day waiting on a guy. We got to the house and it looked good as Mom had been painting and cleaning in preparation for putting it on the market. We had a very good dinner then talked real estate and moving plans. Grandma and I decided to leave around 7:30 and I dropped her off then called Kay-See cause she had called me while I was at Mom's. I told her about N and she was irritated too and thought that the laundry bit was just an excuse and that I had totally been ditched. So I'm at home, feeling angry, but also not as I was watching EHM and who can really be angry while watching that? and I check N's page and there's a comment from a girl that basically confirmed that he'd had other plans that day, and they weren't with me. At this point I'm irritated not because he's probably seeing another girl(s) but because he can't just be up front and tell me he doesn't want to hang out with me. And also that he ditched me to hang out with said other girl. That's what pissed me off the mostest. I left K a comment and told her to view what I had found and she called me within minutes and I couldn't help ask "What's wrong with me? Why do I keep getting ditched by guys?" and started to get teary because my self-esteem was in the toilet. First Brandon then Eric then Trevor (kind of, not really, but it helps my theory stand up so I'm including him) and now N. I'm like a fucking leper. And I don't know why. What is so hard about calling to say you can't hang out? It's better than leaving someone completely hanging out there waiting for your ass. And while you’re at it, don’t ditch me for another girl. I don’t care if you’re dating other girls but don’t break plans with me to hang out with one of them. I hung up with K, read a little and expected to get a late night text or early morning message from N. I had another think coming. At least I had a dream about my high school crush that made up for it a little bit, even though he's got a kid which kind of kills it for me.

Saturday 7/28, K and I got up a little after 8 to take a walk so I went in to say hi to Mom and Dad and they said they were going for a walk too so we all set out together, but K and I kept our pace up and hit the rail road tracks far before Mom and Dad did. We decided to walk down toward the river and continued talking about boys and dating and relationships then Mom and Dad arrived so we walked with them for a little bit but eventually left them in the dust again. I think R was still in bed when we got back, but I got dressed and headed down to the motorhome where Dad was prepping the pancakes so I sat in there talking with them and urging Dad to hurry up because I was STARVING. Pancakes were good of course, and we all hassled R for the way he eats them and other foods. We sat around chatting a little more then started to prep for our trip down the river. We set out a little after 11 in two cars. We attempted to put in where we usually do but some fire fighter with an inflated ego told us we couldn't, so we went to the other side of the bridge and struggled with the raft on that side. The truck died and Dad decided to deal with it later so we left it and hopped aboard. Along for the ride was Linda, the neighbor, with her granddaughter Katie (I think...) so we had a semi-full raft, but our usually rowing strength was somewhat lacking. I definitely got wetter than anyone else and started to get irritated by the end of it as I was one of the only ones paddling and was continually getting the wettest. Oh well. At least the potato chips stayed dry. Back at the camp we all helped unload the supplies and raft then R was hungry and was not satisfied with just snacking so we dropped Dad back off at the truck and made sure he had it going before taking off for the 59er Diner where I had an Oreo milkshake and R got a burger to bridge the gap until dinner. R insisted on paying so that was cool. Upon our return R and K went down to the pond to hang out on the inner tubes and I decided to skim the pool for a while then took my tube in there with a few Vogues (thanks to Susan) and worked on my tan that way. Dad eventually got in and ended up pushing me from side to side because I'm afraid the slant kept guiding me to his side (he found that rationalization hilarious) and eventually Mom got her suit on and came in as well. After about an hour K and R came back up and K got in with her tube and we bounced off each other and Dad had two tubes to contend with. I got out and went up to take a shower which felt so incredibly good that I took an extra long one and just sat in there reminiscing about Eric and enjoying how good it felt to be there at that moment. When I went back down Dad had started to drain the pool and R and I decided it was going to take FOREVER that way so we started strategizing ways to make it go out faster and eventually came up with a decent system, but unfortunately this led to me getting eaten alive by mosquitoes. We got most of the pool emptied and there was water EVERYWHERE then K came back out from her shower and she helped and R told us to take our clothes off and while emptying, but we weren't having it. Then the three of us worked together to get the fricken thing turned over and the rest of the water out. Dad was washing all the cars, including mine (I had vacuumed it out earlier before my shower) and came to fold the pool up when he was done and him and R got it situated in the pump house. K wanted to go for a run so she took off and when she returned dinner was ready to be consumed. Mom and Dad told their engagement stories and they were hilarious, poor Dad. We all sat around the campfire again talking and having fun and Mom made a surprise peach pie from scratch so we enjoyed that and eventually all kind of headed upstairs for bed after saying bye to Mom and Dad since they were rolling out at the butt crack of dawn the next morning. The three of us talked for a while in the loft before going to sleep and I think R was doing some talking in his sleep.

Friday 7/27, I had been messaging with Charismo all day about being sloths together upon my return from Plain on Sunday...this is important information to know for my Sunday blog. Our messages were cute and cuddly and probably cringe inducing to an outsider. Anyway, after work I went home and finished packing, took care of a few items and set out for Plain via Blewett Pass. The drive is scenic and all but I much prefer Steven's. I feel like I know it like the back of my hand and know exactly how long it will take me from a certain point...Blewett, I had no idea and the drivers were pissing me off. I arrived at the property around 7:30 and Mom had dinner ready so we all sat down and I couldn't stop eating it...or, I suppose it was more like inhaling. Kay-See and R arrived around 8:30 and we all sat around the blazing campfire Dad had built just talking and making smores. K and R threw the football around a little bit but we all ended up back around the fire for more chatting and downing of tequila. I was really tired so I finally went up to get ready for bed around 11 and K and R weren't too far behind, maybe a half hour, after going down to the river. There was almost a full moon which made me think of Eric...who I am now convinced I will never get over. What can you do? Apparently nothing. Anyway, I started telling K stories from the past week and R insisted on hearing one of them that I said wasn't relevant, but he kept pestering so I finally told it then he got all mad or something and moved to one of the other beds, off K's, and declared he was sleeping over there and if K wanted to sleep by him she had to move over. I telepathically told her not to do it, but my signal must have been jammed because she did. We all fell asleep not too much later.

Thursday 7/26, When I got home I tried to do a little bit of cleaning and such because it looked like a cluttered mess, but quickly dropped that to start the puttying of the cubby. I got quite a bit done and talked to Chrystol about meeting at her place, then ate some left over Chinese for dinner and ran up to take a shower. I straightened my hair since I am boycotting all Davines products at the moment to see if my skin clears up, which I think it is. I rolled out at about 7:20 and talked to Alishia until I got down to Ballard at C & S' place. They showed me every nook and cranny of their new pad and I love it and it's totally them. Eventually we sat down to talk story, and boy did I have a bunch for them. C said I was like Carrie from SatC telling them about all of my dating conquests and disasters. She laid on the floor with a bunch of pillows and closed her eyes and said she was going to visualize as I told all my stories. Needless to say there was a lot of laughing so that was good. I told them about the message from Jason then she showed me a bunch of pictures and videos from before he left. The funniest one was of him in the onesie when he was drunk. Hilar. I told them I needed to go and rolled out at about 10:20, called Susan who wasn't feeling good so we decided to skip Cowgirls Inc. and I headed straight to her house where I ate one of her chocolates and almost polished off her B&J chocolate brownie ice cream. I told her some of my funny stories, texted Michael and took off for Neighbs. After we parked and started to walk there was this couple, I think they were both drunk or on something, or not even really a couple, having an argument and as we were walking away the guy yelled back at her "I hope your baby is retarded!" and we were both like "Oh. My. God. Did he REALLY just say that?!" and Susan was like "Commit that to memory" so we walked down the street saying it to ourselves very quietly over and over. There was a new bouncer I don't care for and a someone new taking the money who was like "It's $3" and I replied internally, yeah, duh, I know. We went in and pretty much headed straight upstairs where we spotted Richie and decided to go down and dance with him. He looked adorable with his little hat and totally hot glasses. I got a nice long hug who told me it had been way too long since we've seen each other then asked what I was doing on the weekend of the 17th and told me I was going to Plain, but I really don't think I can...or should. Too much to do and not enough weekends spent at home. Fucking summer is going to be over before I know it. Anyway, so we're all dancing and laughing and taking really bad pictures then this girl on stage is ALL OVER Richie and is trying to pull him up on stage but he was like, "No thanks" and totally cracking up so I grabbed onto him like he was mine...then some guy started humping her from behind and distracted her. Before we knew it though she had come down onto the floor and was like "Hi!" and we all just looked at each other and kind of smirked and she was all "Awkward!" yeah, you said it sister, not me. She was all over Richie. We decided to go to Pony and on our way out I saw that girl again so I asked Richie if he was going to say bye to her or not and he ran back and she was like, "I want my picture with you!" so Richie hoisted her up and her dress totally hiked up and I was like "OMG, I can totally see her cootch!" then Susan and I were trying to take porno pictures and right as I was pushing my boobs together we saw Max RUNNING up to the club so my face was all wonky because I was like "Shit! There's Max!" Eventually we were on our way, laughing about that girl and how she was super disappointed when Richie told her he was gay, and continued navigating toward Pony. I spotted Susan's R and eventually we made it in. Richie found a friend so Susan and I went to check out the dance floor and were just hanging out then Richie stood right behind R and was making Susan and me laugh. Susan went outside to return a text and some guys came up and asked me if I was in the circus and could swallow swords or something and luckily Richie was like "Are you ready to go dance now?" and swept me away. We hit the photo booth and decided on our 4 poses: angelic, devilish, yawning and really angry. They turned out pretty good. The three of us started dancing and were collectively freaked out by the guy dancing with a horse mask on. There were people shooting water with squirt guns and popping poppers which also scared us. Then we saw Teal...dressed up like a woman and Susan and I at the exact same time were like "Is...that...Teal?!" and he blew us a kiss across the dance floor. We all danced for a few minutes then S and I decided we wanted to head back to Neighbours and Richie was going to go to R Place so we all walked back up Pine and stopped in front of R Place saying our good byes but then I looked to my right and crossing the street toward us was this cute guy that totally looked like the Eric look-a-like I had danced with at Belltown Billiards, so I did a double take and was totally staring at him and after he had crossed to the other side behind me I looked at him again and he turned around and was looking at me and I pointed at him and was like "Do...I...know you?" and he started walking back up to me and was like "Do I know you?" and I asked "Have you ever been to Belltown Billiards...because I think I danced with you" and he was like "Yeah, but not for like 6 years" and I said, I guess I don't know you, and his friend was totally laughing. He had his arm around me but I was so fucking distracted I can't remember exactly what he said but as he was walking away he was like "I love you! I'll see you soon!" and kept turning around and I was like "I like you" and staring at him as he walked away. Richie was like, he seemed a little bad and I was like "I know, I can't help it...he was hot!" and he said he understood because he likes them bad too, and Susan confirmed that everyone likes the bad ones. He didn't seem that bad though...had some tattoos which is totally hot and was tall....mmmm. Susan didn't approve but after I told her that I made contact first she decided it was acceptable, but still not ideal. We said bye to Richie and walked back to Neighbours where we got our dance on for about 1.5 songs before some Tina Turner bullshit drag show started. I don't know why they keep doing this but it's really getting irritated. Less shows, more dancing! We saw PMT with some girl with a headband or something...saw Max who came over and gave me a hug and told me it was the first time he'd seen me with a drink...does he keep a journal or something? "Dear Diary: Once again, this week Karrah did not have a drink. Yours truly, Max" then he would draw a little picture of a pirate next to his name, because that's just what I imagine he would do. Susan hatched an escape plan and we went over to the other side of the floor and after the drag show we got out on the floor for a few good songs, moved our location, danced to a few more while trying to avoid the foot stomping horse of a guy next to us and eventually took off a little after 1. Drove home and went to bed.

Wednesday 7/25, Dad picked me up from work again and at home I started chipping away at some of the little tasks and Dad had gotten so much done I was totally impressed...and continued to get even more done between the time we got home and the time him and Mom left around 8:00. I have a lot of clean up to do but I'm in really good shape as far as all that stuff goes. Phew. I got ready and listened to stories Mom was telling about Rose and their visit then saw them off and said I would see them on Friday for bacon wrapped steaks. Delicious! I took off for N's and talked to Susan on the way, parked, walked to his place and went up. We talked for a few minutes and he told me about his i'view a little then suggested we go up to the roof to watch the sunset (Mom had raised her eyebrows knowingly and smiled when I told her those were our plans) and grabbed a Snapple "for oral lubrication" (his words, not mine). We squirmed our way up to the roof and stood for a while talking about his recycling strategy then sat in the chair that was up there. We talked for a long time and watched the sun slowly descend behind the Aurora Bridge. His baby's mama was discussed and there was some very surprising news there then we traded rafting stories. We made our way back down in order to watch some tv and get reacquainted with his couch. He showed me this benefit package thing and I was like, "Hm, let me see how good the benefits are" so he sat in his desk chair and as I was perusing, pulled me into his lap and we sat like that for a long time, me leaning against him on his lap. I was telling him what was good and bad or interesting about the plans and he lightly stroked my stomach with his fingers. Then we kissed a little. I wanted to show him the RC rock I made on my flickr then he showed me his RC pictures and videos then something embarrassing happened, to him, not me, so I told him we were even. It's not really that bad...it could have been much worse. We moved the party over to the couch and he put on the David Bowie episode of Flight of the Concord or whatever and it was HILARIOUS. I loved it. We made out through part of it then when it was over really got down to it on the couch with a lot of rubbing against each other without our shirts on. We just kissed and laughed and kissed some more. Then I commented that my pants were very restrictive so he ordered me over to the bed, turned the lights down slightly and we de-pants-d. Underwear stayed on but things were definitely...enjoyable. To say the least. Gross, is this grossing anybody out? Too bad, it's my blog! I'm pretty sure Susan was right about that one thing, you know Susan, the thing you did with your hands? I told him we had 25 minutes because I had to leave by midnight and it totally flew by, which sucked because we were having so much fun talking and dry humping, but I put my clothes back on and he bid me farewell. I walked briskly back to my car, drove home, read briefly then went to bed. Jacques seemed to be a little more normal after hiding upstairs all day from Dad.

Tuesday 7/24, I met Mom and Dad at home on my lunch break, we discussed plans for home improvement then Dad took me back to work so he could use my car for supplies. He picked me up from work and showed me the progress he'd made then Mom got home so we cleaned up a little and took off for Chinese food. I called Chrystol and chatted with her for a few then we ordered and I got the Hong Kong style chow mein, yum! What is it with me and chow mein now? Can't get enough! Mom and Dad both got yummy dishes too so we all picked and the spring rolls were SOO good Mom and I wolfed them. We talked all through dinner and it was totally fun. We drove home where we discussed further plans then they said they would accompany me to Home Depot to plan out the bathrooms. I think they'll turn out nicely and won't be too costly so that was good to find out. The labor may kill me, but whatever, I'll figure it out. We were there until 10 then stayed up discussing more and eventually turned in. I updated the blog and went to bed a little before midnight I think.

Monday 7/23, I hit the store quickly then headed home and started on chores and cleaning before changing and leaving for RED for another facial with Megan. I found parking easily and was a few minutes early. She said my face, though still spotty and bumpy, looks much better and the bumps are much smaller. Yay! So I’m going to continue with my regimen and hope for the best. Got interesting news from Sean, but already kind of knew from Kassie. Um, drove home, talked to Eliso about plans for the next day, did a ton more cleaning for a little over an hour and it still isn’t as clean as I’d like but it’s going to have to be fine. Traded a few kissy texts with N, talked with Skylar for a few then with Kassie as she drove home about Mom's move and Jake and all that for quite a while, then turned on the news and updated this thing.

Sunday 7/22, I woke up at 8:30 to try and get a jump on my day. I went in and talked with Mom, Auntie Heidi and Grandma about where I’m going to live and selling my place and all that fun stuff before going up to the loft to finish packing and getting ready. Dad got back with the eggs and we all talked in the motor home while he whipped up a delicious batch of French Toast and we coordinated for his and Mom’s trip over the mountain to help me with some light construction and bathroom planning. I packed up my car, said good bye to everyone and managed to be the first one off the property, though I know Kassie was only about an hour behind me. The drive was fine and I’m glad I took Steven’s even though it was a little patchy in places. At home I started putting stuff away and cleaning but ended up taking a few extended breaks to update the blog and flickr pictures. N and I exchanged some texts and many messages later in the evening. We’re both having make out withdrawals. I talked with Susan and Kay-See then Mom and continued to alternate between lounging, cleaning and laundry-ing. Jacques totally attached my leg, practically climbing up it at one point in order to bite me on my upper thigh. Fucking cat. I don’t know why he does this. But I yelled in his face, chased him out of my room with a shoe and closed the door. He meowed sadly for a large portion of the night. I went to bed before midnight and took a Benadryl to ensure I would get a good night’s sleep and not wake up continually from my mosquito bites.

Saturday 7/21, Kay-See and I got up when Dad came up to tell us the “Big Breakfast” was ready. We headed down and dished up before everyone because Auntie Heidi said we could. Ha, suckas. I think she felt bad about my tramp stamp incident. We all sat on the deck stuffing ourselves first thing in the morning and Kassie tried to pawn her sausage off on me but I threw it right back onto her plate as I walked by. I think she eventually snuck it onto Dad’s plate. The three of us showered and put our suits on since it was warmer than it had been since we got there. The three of us girls and the two Goldens went for a walk almost to the train tracks and had a good time talking and watching Kassie scare away the aggressive neighborhood dogs by stepping toward them and putting her hand up (“They hate that shit”). When we got back we sat on the deck and soaked up some sun and organized our rocks for the impending rock projects. I painted a rock for Raft Club and was done fairly quickly, as I generally like to get in and get out, while everyone else took their time and busted out the votive project. I ate like 5 pieces of Amish licorice that AH brought out, then a bunch of crackers and grapes, then Mom made “snacks” which included cheesy potato skins (with bacon!), a cheese, cracker and meat platter, chips with pico de gallo and chips with French onion dip. Needless to say I ate way too much and felt like shit. Kay-See and I walked down to the water and spotted this mongoose / ferret thing that was like following us and trying to get our attention or something. Ryder came down and went toward it and it was all “Hisss!” and scared the shit out of him. He backed out after that. We both took a few pictures of it and cracked up. Around 6 or so Kay-See took off for home because she had a race the next day. Uncle Brad sent us out for ice so we took the Benz and ended up running into Mark and his crew and talked to them for a while, then invited us to come by to their campfire later, then we tried to make rezies at Gustav’s but were rebuffed by the bitchy hostess and eventually made our way home texting the vol. fire fighter they had encountered the night before. This guy apparently likes to brag about his new cabin or something. Back at home I got ready and we all ended up leaving about 45 minutes later with the four of us girls in Kassie’s car. Kass and I got into an argument in the car about her pot smoking but we eventually kind of worked it out and ended up all collaborating on texts to send to the VFF. At Gustav’s we put our name in and didn’t have to wait long after the rest of the parents and grandparents arrived to be seated. Dinner was an absolute riot with hilarious texts going back and forth with the guy and also with Kassie telling diarrhea and other random pooping stories from Burning Man and the Rainbow Gatherings. Hailey and Callie were in stitches, seriously laughing so hard, and I’m pretty sure the whole restaurant was looking at us. Kassie told Callie to text VFF asking if he had a bear skin rug in his new cabin and then on the way home she asked if Hailey wore his rug if he would chase her and try to shoot her and we were all dying and he totally didn’t get that we were dicking with him. I kind of felt bad for the guy especially when he asked when he was going to get to see them and Kassie told her to text “Probably never” and he was all “Why?” then we were out of cell range and I guess that was his response…just, nothing. Poor guy. Back at the ranch we all went upstairs and started the girl talk and Hailey fell asleep before Kassie could show her the hot guy she wanted to hook her up with and then Kassie and I got into it again about the pot and we totally don’t see eye to eye, yet we both know where each other is coming from. It made me start to rethink things with N and if I really want to deal with all that bullshit. Don’t know. Anyway, I went to sleep next and Kassie and Callie turned in at some point.

Sunday, July 22, 2007

Friday 7/20, I woke up and alerted the media about Kassie’s condition and Mom was like “Why didn’t you come in and get me?!” which I thought was adorable. I had asked her if she wanted me to get her anything and she said no, except for some water, so I figured it was under control. I was on my own for breakfast and the girls all left in my car and Dad was gone with all the boys returning the tiller thing. Kassie and I just hung out for most the day I think, not doing much. The boys were back and Dad and Uncle Brad were working on the sprinkler system so Kassie and I put on Holiday and toward the end Dad yelled up to come out quickly to see who was there and it turned out to be Mark, who we haven’t seen for like 5 years. Crazy! He looked great, with a very chiseled face…lookin good Mark! Anyway, we chatted for a minute and he introduced us to his friends then they left and we finished our movie. Around 3:30 we decided to drive to the bridge and walk from there to get ice cream. When we told Papa what we were doing he said to watch out for boys and that if he had seen two gals like us after getting out of the Navy he would have "taken you [us] around the block." I called Kay-See to see where she was and we stopped into the hardware store for a part for Dad then over to ice cream and I got chocolate (boring!) and Kassie got maple nut. We people watched for a long time and some septic pumping truck driver asked how we were doing. I told Kassie I wanted to ask him for a ride in his truck and she just rolled her eyes. Heh. It was cold so after I polished off both my and Kassie’s ice cream we took off to walk back to the car. We tried to figure out how to get up to the big house on the ridge and may have found the road but there was a no trespassing sign so we didn’t investigate further. Back at home we put another movie in, Little Miss Sunshine, and Kay-see arrived close to the end. I did introductions then we sat down to eat a ton of Auntie’s pico de gallo. We then got into the hammock so she could fill me in on the various stories she’s been working on all week. Everything was fine until Dad wanted to tighten the straps. We got back in and one of the cords totally broke and I landed on my tailbone right on the huge fucking tree root. Then Papa came and took pictures as we laid there on the ground laughing. It hurt so bad all I could think was “Must. Roll. Onto. Stomach. Now.” K just laughed and laughed, she wasn’t hurt, but it was hard for me to even move. Auntie Heidi was like “I can’t wait to see that tramp stamp tomorrow!” and I told them it felt like someone had whacked me across the ass with a 2x4. Then my neck started hurting again so I think both K and I had slight whiplash. Ouch. Finally it was dinner time so we had roast chicken, ribs, baked potatoes, corn bread, watermelon and corn on the cob. We all over ate of course, then Kassie and Mom dished up more angel food cake with fresh peaches and strawberries. Hailey and Cali had run out of gas at the Plain Grocery and had procured help from some volunteer fire fighter but it still didn’t sit well with Kassie and Uncle Brad so they took off to help and came back about 10 minutes later with Hailey in tow. K and I went up to go to bed and she fell asleep before I was even ready for bed. I was sleeping soon after.

Thursday 7/19, Aubrie was up and at em early, so I got up to spend the last hour or so with her because I was really going to miss her and wanted her to know that. Mom, Auntie Heidi and Aubrie took off at 9 and I ate some cereal then tried to get Kassie up, but instead fell back asleep until about 11:30. I riled Kassie and we headed into Leavenworth to straighten out the tabs for the truck and Bonneville and to grab a little lunch. We ate at Pavz where I got the goat cheese and roasted vegetable crepe and Kassie got the strawberry, duh. We went to the health food store after that and waited for the DMV to reopen, got the tabs from the probably drunk lady, then headed to Cashmere for a baguette upon recommendation from the lady at the health food store. The place is called Anjou and they make superb black bottom cupcakes and other fine baked goods. On our way back we stopped at one of the fruit stands where we sampled and gawked at all the stuff then headed home. I think we probably fell asleep again then went out to the deck to socialize with Grandma and Papa then helped pick rocks out of the trenches. Finally Mom and AH returned and we started on dinner which included of delicious and enormous hot dogs Kassie bought from Whole Foods. Jan and Kelly got there so it was beginning to resemble the full house we’re used to. We all stayed up late again around the campfire talking and laughing and eventually turning in to bed late after magazine perusing. Kassie woke up at 3:30 puking for about a half hour. Couldn’t figure out why.

Wednesday 7/18, Aubrie and I got up right around 7 and were ready to go a little after 8 but Kassie refused to get up which we both knew meant that she wouldn’t be getting to Plain until well after the afternoon started. Whatever, you can’t hurry Kassie, as everyone has learned. Aubs and I stopped at Starbucks to get her a little breakfast and when we got back in the car A alerted me that two texts had come in from N and read them aloud to me. We both rolled our eyes and I had no desire to respond. We made it over fairly quickly, despite the construction on the pass and following that slow ass semi going 20 mph. Boo! When we got there we saw Dad leaving and told us he would be back soon so we went in the motor home and started raiding the candy box. The weather kind of sucked but we decided to take a little walk and as we were out on the county road we saw Dad coming and hitched a ride back with him (like 50 feet) and Aubrie almost said “What the fuck happened?” because of the Bonneville, so we decided to use the word “fun” in place of fuck so we were like “Where the fun is Kassie?” or “What’s up with this funning weather?” wow, we’re hilarious. The three of us went into the motor home and Dad laid on the floor and we told him all about our week as he fell asleep. We snickered over the top of him. He finally got back up and to work and asked us if we would help out by cutting the shrubs and stuff down by the river so we set out, Aubs with a shovel and I with a giant pair of shears, for the river. We did quite a bit of damage then headed back up as Dad rode his mower around then weed whacked. We got our suits on as the sun was finally coming out to work on our tans and catch up on our reading. Mom came home and we helped her unload her car because she’s still sore from her multiple surgeries. Kassie finally showed up around 3 or something and constructed a delicious cheese plate, then put her suit on and we all played around the pool, laid out and laughed when Dad rode up on the mower and I put his Teva-style sandals on. Dinner was started complete with bacon covered burgers, Auntie’s famous salad and corn on the cob. We celebrated my birthday so I opened presents and we had angel food with tons of strawberries and whip cream. Aubrie showed me what gremlin sex looks like, and I got a bit of it on video which is hilarious. We stayed up super late by the gi-normous fire looking at the stars and laughing about red heads with Uncle Brad. Fan-TAStic. We finally turned in after midnight or something. I don’t even remember but I think Aubrie fell asleep first because she had to get up early the next morning.

Tuesday 7/17, I went home straight away and started on the first of two angel food cakes and to start packing. N and I had plans to make out and I thought that if he was feeling up for it (he had a sore throat) I would just bring all my shit and leave from his house for Plain the next morning. I called him and left a message but wasn’t hearing back from him and Kassie and Aubs were downtown asking if I wanted to go to dinner so finally after I finished both cakes and the principle packing I called them and said I was coming to meet up because I hadn’t heard from N and I didn’t want to wait around all night for his ass to call me. I went to Palace Kitchen and put our name in and requested Kassie’s favorite waiter and luckily we were seated in his section. Dave P I believe. K and A showed up and we talked and ordered food based on Dave’s recommendation and all were pleased. We took a bunch of pictures and laughed hysterically until about 10:30 then Kassie was going to head to Lo-Fi so Aubrie and I headed home where I showed her this hilarious message on myspace that we couldn’t make it through without laughing so hard we couldn’t talk or even breathe…then Kassie came home and we made her read it and it started all over again. Especially the rabbit pelt part. Dear god. I uploaded a bunch of pictures onto flickr and eventually we all went to bed around 2:00 and had agreed to get up early to make it East within the morning. No response from N. Boo!

Monday 7/16, Aubrie was at home all day by herself but I checked in with her via myspace and it sounded like she was doing just fine so I wasn't worried. When I got home she was still in her pjs and thought it was hilarious. We snacked a little bit then decided to go on a walk so we drove down to Timberlake Park and walked down to the water and back a couple of times playing "fuck, live, cliff" and howling at the responses. We presented each other with some conundrums. Then we went to Office Depot where I picked up a new bulletin board for a sister art project then over to PCC for some dinner items. Talked to Mom and told her I would bake two angel food cakes and some corn bread for the family event and confirmed we would be celebrating my birthday on Wednesday while Aubs was still here. We ate dinner at the table and we laughed at how Aubrie didn't really like her dinner items but I know she liked dessert: frozen cookie dough! Yum. I did some cleaning and laundry then we put on Old School and started on the collage and she got a real hoot out of some of my clippings and was reading all the jokes I'd cut out. We created a pretty good collage and it's a lot less busy than the other ones I've done. I hung it in the entry way with the rest then we headed upstairs because it was fairly late. I uploaded some pictures to myspace then we took more with Aubrie looking like an amputee, I showered, we read in bed then went to sleep.

Sunday 7/15, I woke up at 8, gassed up, got Aubs up when I got back, got ready and hit the road to the market. We found decent parking right by RED then walked down and looked at all the delicious food and beautiful flowers and stuff. I got Mom some jam for her birthday (belated!) then we watched the cute boys throw fish and I showed her my hippie donut bf. We got a text from N saying that whenever we wanted to come over he was ready. We headed back to the car and drove over to Eastlake, parked very close to his house on account of it being Sunday and he came down and met us. Introductions were made then we walked up to 14 Carrot where we had a minimal wait for the best table in the house. N thought it was because there were two smokin hot girls in our party and the staff knew that that would draw the crowds in. We all did pretty well on our breakfasts and N was pretty good at asking Aubrie questions and engaging but she later said she could have ran around with her shirt off and he wouldn't have even looked up because he's smitten with me and didn't remove his gaze from me. Aww. Tee hee. Get a grip Karrah! Ok, so we decided to go to Madison Park to lay out and swim so we got our stuff and went up to his place to change into our suits and he played a little Bowie on the uke and the two of us sang to it then we kissed a little in the kitchen out of Aubrie's view. As I'm sure she probably would have thrown up. We drove down to Madison Park and found a good spot for people watching and getting our sun on (even though Aubrie clearly let us know that a park is NOT the same as a beach). It was pretty hot so N walked to the store for some sun screen and when he got back we all started lotioning up and Kassie called with some fairly huge news so then I told Aubs and N and we all just sat there like, shit, wow. Aubrie had the idea to give N a sun screen tattoo on his back so she made a medium size heart with an A and K in the middle and he left it there for a good half hour then he turned over onto his back and forgot about it and it smeared all over his towel, but I think it actually made a little bit of a tan. We put our feet in the water and N went all the way in tried to convince us to do the same but we weren't having it. Aubs laughed at some guy who twisted his ankle as he came down the hill and he totally saw her and wouldn't stop staring. N and I did a little beach kissing but nothing over the top. Aubrie was "so over it" so we packed up and left, drove back to Eastlake where we dropped N then headed home, stopping at two Albertsons where we picked up 6 pizzas for a fantastic deal. Aubs said the boy at my regular store who rang us up was staring intently at me like N was earlier and that she could have flashed him and he wouldn't have even glanced in her direction. She demonstrated this in the parking lot on the way to the car. We snacked a little bit at home and watched the rest of Beach while I tried to repair my bulletin board that I knocked down the stairs that had busted to smithereens, but it wasn't working so I bit the bullet and just transferred the art to a new one and threw the other one out. We then watched Happy Endings and I popped one of the pizzas in, we conquered then watched AFV because I got the downstairs tv working again, yay! Then it was part of EHM until we got distracted by videos N posted in a bulletin and the cat video again. We half watched Desperate Housewives while I copy and pasted messages. We stayed down there for a long time and finally headed up to bed where we both read before going to sleep.

Saturday 7/14, We woke up not that early and just laid around, playing on the computer and eating breakfast in bed. I talked to N who Aubrie was excited to meet, and we made plans for later in the day to go swimming and to hang out. Aubrie and I ended up just goofing around at home for a long time then decided to go into Issaquah to Sweet Addition for some cheesecake and coffee cake then over to BB&B for some items then to Target to try and find Dogma. We returned home and gathered our things then set out for Seattle to drive around and basically wait for N to call. We went to Gasworks first and watched a wedding party take pictures and these guys in space suits filming a video or something. We took a ton of pictures and laid in the sun then decided to take off toward Eastlake to go swing, so we did that for a while and took more pictures then down to U-Village to stop in Anthro and Lucky. I talked to Kay-See who filled me in on her prior evening's exciting events and said to call her back if we didn't hear from N. Aubrie and I went over to Pasta and Co. for some chicken filled tortellini with the Beecher cheese all baked together. It was delicious to say the least. I called N and left a message and he called back about 5 minutes later to say he was at home just hanging out because he was tired, so then I was confused because I thought we were hanging out. But apparently not. He said he would call us in a little while because he wasn't ready to throw in the towel on Saturday. I told him duh, it was only 7:30. So I called Kay-See back and asked if we could come over and sit on the deck, she said yes, and we went to get some dinner for her and gelato for us first. As we were walking back to her car I saw Michael from behind at the ATM and I was like "Michael!" and he turned around and it totally was. We chatted for a few minutes then he took off and we did the same. Back at K's we went up on the roof and started solving more of the mysteries of the world, namely, how to stay with one person forever. I think K cracked the code, but it doesn't make me think that I'll ever be close to finding it. N called back and said he was just going to stay in but asked if we would accompany him to breakfast the next day. None of us were pleased with this, well, the being ditched part anyway. Aubrie fell asleep on one of the lounge chairs while K and I continued to talk about the best kissers we've had, etc. then she got the text she'd been waiting for so we took off. Dropper her in Pioneer Square and wished her luck then we headed home and started Beach but stopped it about 3/4 of the way through to go to sleep.

Friday 7/13, Aubrie and I got up early and got a move-on because we were going to the Science Center to see Harry Potter on the IMAX screen. I dropped her off to make sure there were still tickets available because I didn't want to pay for parking then there be no tickets. There were, so she bought them, then we parked and walked down, stopping for pictures in front of the huge banner. The place was already totally full so we sat like 5 rows up from the front then Aubs spotted Alix which was totally random and hilarious. Part of the movie was in 3-D but it made my eyes hurt so I was glad it was only part of it. I enjoyed it and so did Aubrie because she got to see Ron and Harry on an enormous screen for a second time. We chatted with Alix a little after the show then headed into Ballard for some lunch at Hi-Life. First though, we stopped at the Ballard Bowl but didn't find any treats for Aubrie so we continued on. I let our waiter (the same one who had the crush on Kay-See a long time ago) pick my lunch and I was very pleased, and Aubs was pleased with her biscuits and gravy. We laughed all the way through lunch then did another walk-by of the park; still no boys though. We walked up to Cafe Besalu but it was closed for summer vacation so we walked back to the car and went to Green Lake. It was really hot but it felt good to burn off some of those calories from lunch, plus the people watching was fantastic. Especially this hot guy on a bike who passed us and I was like "Hel-lo!" and Aubrie was like "He-ayyyy" then we kept checking each other out as he was riding away. Before we knew it he was riding by again (damn he did that 3 miles quickly!) and he was like (very pleasantly) "Hello" so I said hi as Aubrie shielded her embarrassment. Finally a third time when he was riding by he stopped and said he wanted to stop and say hi and introduced himself as Jesse and was totally totally hot. Aubrie and I were wiping the drool from our mouths. We chatted for a few minutes then told him he'd made our day and he was like "Cheers!" as he rode away. Aubs thinks he was half Filipino or something, but I feel like he was just a mix of something, with that beautiful olive-y complexion. Mmmm. We headed toward home and stopped at MI at the skate park but of course there was NOT ONE PERSON there and it made me look like I didn't know what the hell I was talking about. We stopped at DQ on the way home and I got a very interesting cheesecake and oreo combination blizzard and we sat in the car eating. At home we hung out in my room and watched Wedding Crashers while playing on the computer and chatting with boys. We headed down to N. Rack where I got a bunch of underwear and she got some Hanky Pankys then over to OE She for some gyoza then to Target for a few essentials then we headed home and I updated this thing while we hung out and watched more tv or something.

Thursday 7/12, Much cooler day. I left work at 3:30 to pick Aubrie up at the airport and she was waiting for me on the curb so we took right off and headed home. We sat on the couch and watched Daniel Radcliffe on Leno and laughed then Susan came home and we did introductions. I showered and got ready and we headed out with the objective to get dinner on Queen Anne at 5 Spot in the hopes of a good meal and to see Michael. Unfortunately he wasn’t working but I got the fried chicken and mashed potatoes so that made up for it a little bit. So did one of the cute waiters. As we were leaving I spotted Michael in the bar, not working, but just hanging out chatting on the phone waiting for some friends. He hugged and he told me to wait so we could chat so Aubs and I waited outside and took pictures and laughed at the Stranger cover story then he came out and I told him about Eric and he said something that was very interesting and instantly got the wheels turning in my head, but I’m not writing it here, because it does a bit of damage to my ego. And I’m not trying to advertise, if you know what I mean. I called Chrystol and told her I didn’t think we were going to make it down to her place to see it because we had a movie starting on Lower Queen Anne in an hour. We drove down and got rock star parking by the theater and walked over to Easy Street where I picked up a bunch of cds I totally didn’t need. Shame on me! I totally have buyer’s remorse now. We went to Safeway for candy treats for our movie then went and saw Paris Je T’Aime and I really liked it, well, I really liked most of the stories; others were just really bizarre. After it got out we did a drive by of Eric’s work but didn’t see his car so then I suggested driving by his house, which Aubrie was up for so we did and his car was there then we went home. I texted him after we were home for a little while but got nothing back. I did however get one from Nick so that was cute. We went to bed around 1:30 or so and Aubrie is totally rooting for him over anyone else.

Wednesday 7/11, During the day Kelly sent me a message on myspace about how much fun he’d had the prior evening with an exclamation and happy face. Uggg. Susan and I chatted when I got home and she thought I was insane for still planning to hike with Kay-See and Stacy. We took off for Little Si around 6:30 and began our ascent with K leading the way like always. We made pretty good time and it was about 20 degrees cooler there than at home, but even still, at the point where the hike gets difficult I told K that I didn’t think there was any way I’d make it to the top. Luckily she’s fantastic at motivating me and told me we’d take it slowly and see how far we could get. Needless to say we made it all the way up, though completely sweaty and tired, and set a record of 45 minutes. Fuck. Yeah. At the top the three of us chatted about weight loss and tactics then started our journey back down. Interestingly enough we weren’t the only ones up there. They dropped me off and I ate a tomato and goat cheese salad then watched episodes from Season One OC with Susan then Kelly texted me about lunch the next day. Susan compared him to Brian. We went to bed around 11 and Nick ended up texting me around 11:30 but I was too tired and hot to respond. Despite the wind storm that was a-brewin outside.

Tuesday 7/10, I woke up thinking how great it was that it was Wednesday and that tomorrow would be my Friday since I'm taking the actual Friday off. It didn't actually hit me that it was only Tuesday until I got to work. Then I was very sad. There was a glitch at the post office which thoroughly irritated me so I had to make alternate plans. I talked to Susan on my lunch break who is worried about melting in her apartment so I told her she could stay with me this week because my place stays scarily cool. She's going to bring cookie dough and teach Jacques how to do the dishes and make the beds to boot! Finally this cat will have to learn to earn his keep. I got home a little before she arrived and had already started on my project. Thankfully she jumped right in and helped me knock those fuckers out. Then we sat around and talked and I made a tomato, pesto and goat cheese salad while checking some funny comments on myspace and Susan chatted on the phone. I called Kelly and expressed my interest in seeing Hot Fuzz so we set that up for later in the evening. It was time for me to shower so she took off for home to get stuff and I got ready, called N to see what he was up to and to offer my company for a little bit before my movie. I parked and walked down to the park where he was reading, but I showed him an even better book: Hunks. We were dying of laughter and he kept commenting on how awesome all of the guys' hair were. Then we labeled what kind of rapist they all were. We made out some too and discussed that we pretty much own the PDAs and again, whenever we'd stop kissing all these people would make their way down. Weeeird. It was time for me to go so he walked me to my car, I dropped him at his place and headed up to the Crest where I saw Kelly waiting outside, sans hat. Ooooh, Mama like. He informed me that the movie didn't start until 9:40 (I could have sworn it said 9:30 online) and asked if I wanted to go to this cafe close by so we drove over and he treated. The girl working there was a little off and when I confirmed I wanted whip cream on my shake thing she was like "Clearly you don't have to worry about counting calories" to which I didn't really know what to say. Um, ok. Yes I do. But whatever. Kelly and I chatted there for a few minutes then got back in the car and drove back, but when we went in and I started walking toward the Hot Fuzz theatre he was walking toward the "After the Wedding" theatre, then claimed that that was the only movie playing for the time we wanted. Wha? Huh? I was like "Ohhhhhhhh Kaaaaaay" but I had wanted to see that one at some point anyway so it worked out, but I couldn't help but think, did he just want that extra 10 minutes to chat at the coffee shop? Susan can confirm I very specifically stated that I wanted to see Hot Fuzz. Whatevs. So the movie was really good and we had a little bit of chatter back and forth during the movie, nothing irritating though and our arms were also touching for most of the movie which made me a little curious as to what would be happening afterward. We walked back toward his car because it was closer and were saying good night and he hugged me then kissed me and I'm not going to say much about it on here for fear of it being run across. Anyway, so I drove home and got a text right as I was entering the U-District, and it was N so I called him and we chatted for a little while and he continued to try and persuade me to ditch Kay-See and the hike to come float on Lake Union the following day so I told him if plans were canceled then I would. Or if our night ended early or something. I couldn't wait to go home and spill everything to Susan, but she was already asleep! Drat! Oh boy, I couldn't stop laughing to myself before going to sleep.

Monday 7/9, Peggy cut me loose an hour early so I went home and did my 3-miler and started feeling the burn in my ass and legs almost immediately then later for the rest of the night every time I stood up. I did some cleaning, made some dinner and watched some Wheel. I read through a bunch of N's blogs then started on a batch of cookies. I was baking away in my underwear while Jacques milled about nearby and outside. Then I heard it. The low cat-bellowing which signaled to me that the imposter-Jacques must be close and sure as shit he was hiding under one of the plants on my patio. I went out to grab Jacques but the other cat darted and right after him was J. They were mutually howling at each other and I go running over to the neighbor's patio, mind you I'm still wearing only underwear and a little tank top, and go to scoop up J, but he gives me a funny look so I quickly check the other cat for a collar but he didn't have one so, I went back to "strange glance throwing" cat and scoop him up and take him inside. Then I shut the door but he continued expressing his displeasure at having the other cat in the same vicinity as him. Drama! I finished baking and had tried to call Kelly and left a message, then Monique called and asked me for a favor so I drove down to her place and asked Kelly if I could call him back as he called right as I was arriving. I called him back on my way home and we made plans for a late-ish movie on Tuesday then I called N and we talked for quite a while and he tried to convince me to bring cookies over; I told him no but that maybe on Tuesday or Wednesday. He wanted to nail down plans for Saturday after his baby and baby-mama leave town, but I'll have Aubrie and I don't know how into seeing her big sister make out with some random guy she's going to be. After I hung up with him I headed up to my room and got the first part of my project done, read a little more of N's blog until almost one and finally went to sleep.

Sunday 7/8, I got up at 8:30, ate some breakfast, got ready for the hike and started cleaning when Kay-See arrived. I presented her with the beef jerky as a peace offering and she gladly accepted. We made bagel sandwiches then hit the road. Parking was tricky and I totally scratched the paint off my bumper by backing into the fence. Whoops. We did some stretching and admiring of a shirtless guy with a nice upper body nearby. I looked at the time (9:45) and we took off up Little Si, busting ass because K was leading. I was a sweaty, tired mess but it felt great to really get a workout and we talked the entire way up, pausing when passing families in order to not subject them to our inappropriate conversation. We made it up in less than an hour and rewarded ourselves with bagel sandwiches and took off pretty quickly to the bottom and discussed the boy survey we’re going to put together and it may just make us rich. Like, buy neighboring islands and chateaus in France rich. We drove back home with the windows down and it was absolutely beautiful outside. She took off fairly quickly when we returned and I decided to eat some chips and salsa and cancel out any good I had just done to my body. I did a little cleaning then started getting texts from N and decided to hop in the shower to clean up and talked to him and made plans to head into Seattle. When I pulled up he was working on his car but it didn’t want to start, so we jumped it, but not the way you’re supposed to because that didn’t work, so he let it run and I asked Dad what the best things to do were so we started driving around and he dropped me at an open house that was cool, but needed a little upgrading for the price tag. After we parked and turned the car off and tried to restart it, it wouldn’t start so he jumped in the shower and I called Dad back who gave me all sorts of advice then attempted to not pry but wanted the bottom line of who N was. It was cute. I told N I would drive him down to the U-District to drop off an old battery and see what the problem was with the current new one, so we drove down to Schuck’s dropped the batteries then went to Johnny Rocket’s for a milkshake and fries. I loved our waiter who was so fun and when him and the other servers and cooks did this hilarious choreographed dance N and I almost lost it. It was so weird. I recorded the guy working the lights and the dancing so at least we’ve got some proof. He said something hilarious about peacocks, in reference to guys who have little penis syndrome (guys with beater cars have big ones apparently) and it was something like “the peacock with the brightest feathers is not the peacock with the biggest penis” or something like that which had me seriously howling with laughter. We walked back to Schuck’s picked up the battery and went back to his place where he installed it and it totally got the car going in a big way. We went upstairs and N informed me that it was now “Quiet Time” which I responded to by saying that he must be a parent because that’s something only parents say. We moved over to the bed and started watching “For Your Consideration” and he fell asleep first (he’s a twitcher for sure) then I eventually did but kept waking up to catch some of the movie but was very confused. After the movie we talked more about sex and did some very fun things and he told me he doesn’t mind that I’m a tease and that he finds the fact that I’m such an avid make-out-er very unusual, but nice. We did that for a long time. He asked me if I’d peeked in his boxers while he was asleep and I told him no but that Susan had suggested it then he said that it would be really hot if I had and he caught me. I was like (skeptical face) “Reeeally?” and he confirmed which I found to be amusing. Then it was time to go so we walked down to our cars and his started again which was great and we made out down there and talked about how people were going to give us stink eye for such blatant PDAs. I talked to Susan on the way home then stopped at Mom’s for homemade macaroni and to chat with Alix then went home and started on this thing, talked to Susan again and watched special on stolen art on KCTS that was quite fascinating before hitting the sack.

Saturday 7/7, N got up first and let me sleep while he showered and got ready then I got up and we decided to go get some breakfast, after making out for a while of course. We walked up to Louisa’s and I got a blueberry scone which was like the best scone I’ve ever had and he had a bagel which definitely didn’t look as good as mine. We sat and talked for a while there so that was totally fun and we were flirting and engaging in over the top PDAs. Great! He looks at me a bit like Eric used to, but N bites his lip and “Mmmmmm”s a lot more. We walked back to his place singing Rod Stewart classics and he put some new tunes on his ipod for his trip down to Tacompton then we made out on the couch. I offered him a ride downtown so we walked to my car and he held my hand which I thought was insanely cute then dropped him at the bus stop and drove home. I called Susan and we talked for a bit then I fell asleep for 2 hours, then talked to Mom, Eliso, Lindsay, Kelly and finally Zach to firm up plans for the evening. I showered then hit the road and talked to Susan once I got to Easy Street waiting for Zach. I told her how Kelly had canceled and was really apologetic and that I told him it was ok and Susan was like “You’re the one that’s smitten, not me” which I laughed loudly at and made people on the street turn and look at me. Zach finally got there and we took off in the Rover to hit the store for wine then drove back over to where his friends’ place was and we went up. Z introduced me to Ben and um, I forget the other one’s name, but both were very nice and really funny and totally not PC. Z and I went down to this Vietnamese place and he ordered me the “Zach Special” which turned out to be super healthy and super delicious. I ate the whole thing in fact. Some weird ballet kid showed up and Zach kept calling him C3PO which made me lose my shit then they all started playing Guitar Hero and were totally cracking me up. Zach and I did a ton of talking and catching up but the most fascinating thing was the glimpse he gave me into his married world. We took a ton of hilarious pictures but he made me delete a lot of them because he thought he looked bad…I still need to download them and send them to him. We all went through our phones and read the hilarious texts Z had sent and I think the ones he sent me were by far the funniest and he totally got a kick out of them. They seriously went back to like 2004 and 2005, crazy! The ballet kid kept talking to us and cornered me at one point and telling me about his ugly shirt from Cambodia and trying to be all know it all about it and I was like, Listen dude, I know about Cambodia, don’t front. Z and Ben came and rescued me after letting me squirm for a bit. I finally took off when the 14 year old girls showed up (not really, but they looked way young) which was right about midnight. I drove home and crashed but got a hilarious text from Z about a half hour after I had fallen asleep: “K. Ur my dude. Laughed at dumb sluts that came over. U should have been here. In my undies now.” Okie dokie then.

Friday 7/6, Kay-See and I had had plans to see a movie but I was tired and wanted to see an earlier show and she was busy and wanted to see the later show so we decided to scrap it and do it some other time. Charismo asked me if I wanted to come over to his place and hang out and watch a movie with him and spend the night so I thought that sounded like a relaxing evening and packed up my things and headed over there around 9. Kay-See called me right as I was pulling out of the driveway and I told her what I was doing and she was clearly not happy. In fact I could tell she was pissed because I was hanging out with N instead of her and though I tried to justify it she wasn’t having any of it. We hung up and I felt bad, like really bad, but drove over to N’s anyway. I told him about it when I got there and he thought everything would be fine and that she loves me so that made me feel a little better. He had created a screen saver slideshow so when that came on I was like “Hey!” and he confirmed that yes, that was his daughter. He sat next to me on the couch and I was like “Dude, that’s your kid” and he was like “Tell me about it”. So yeah. Then he turned on his new joost program or whatever that basically is on demand tv, but on the internet so we went searching the music channels and found some Muse and Keane videos and though he isn’t really a fan of Keane he concluded that it was quite good to make out to. We were going strong until Sugarbabes came on then I refused to continue and he got up and changed the channel to Man vs. Wild which got us talking about all sorts of things but most interestingly, about sex and preferences and such. So that was TOTALLY fascinating. And pretty hot. We were both tired so we crawled into bed and ended up falling asleep watching MvW and at some point he must have gotten up and turned it off.

Thursday 7/5, I made plans to meet up with Kelly before Neighbours so I ate some veggies for dinner then headed to Volunteer Park to meet up. I pulled in right at 7:45 and he was sitting in his little Jeep which was pretty nice so that impressed me right off the bat, then we hugged and started walking around. We went up into the water tower first then walked the grounds of the park just talking and laughing and sat overlooking the reservoir forever because it was warm. I suggested we walk to 15th to get some dessert around 9:00 so we went to Coastal Kitchen and I LOVED our waiter. I didn’t know what to get between the sundae and the chocolate cake so I told him to pick and he was like, “I’ll bring my favorite: the chocolate cake a la mode!” and I was like “Terrific!” so Kelly and I talked, talked, talked and I found out we have more in common than I realized especially on religion and drugs. So that was kind of cool. I ate almost all my dessert and when the waiter came he said that he was impressed I ate as much as I did and I said that I was going dancing and didn’t want to be too bloated and he was like “Neighbours?” and I gave an enthusiastic confirmation and got all excited that he knew where I was going told me I would be fine. We took off and did some walking around then headed back to the cars where we talked until 10:30. I wasn’t feeling that little spark at all so I kind of kept my distance and he went in for an enthusiastic goodbye hug and I walked over to my car. He took off his hat to put his sweatshirt on (because the Jeep’s windows were out and the top was down) and I was like “OoooOOOOooooh. Mama like” but to myself of course. All that red hair? Totally hot. Then when he pulled out of the lot it was pretty hot and made me think that perhaps I should make out with him just to see. I went over to Susan’s for a while where we talked and I filled her in on “Adventures in Babysitting” and we eventually took off at 11. Parking was a cinch for once and we headed over where it was quite empty for that time of night. We went upstairs and spotted Tye who was wearing a dress and heels and totally cracking us up. We went down to dance and had a ton of fun and though there weren’t very many cute guys there so we passed the time by stalking Darren and dancing with Craig, of all people. We noticed he’d had his hair cut so when he came over I told him it looked really good then that it was hot so that put a little smirk on his face and kept him dancing by us for a long time. He left then came back and was being really hilarious air drumming and throwing his arm into the air at certain parts of songs. It had both of us in hysterics. We concluded that there must have been a severe lack of his groupies in attendance to force him into dancing with us. He picked the necklace up off my chest and asked what it was then I asked Susan if that meant he was looking at my chest. Ha. Susan screamed when she spotted Darren and it scared the shit out of me but Craig didn’t hear and we’re hoping Darren didn’t either. Teal disappeared but at least we got hugs and kisses from him when he first got there. My go-go dancing bf was skanking it up for me and I was loving every pole-grinding moment of it. Umm, it was late and after a string of good songs we decided to go home so I drove home and found that Kassie and Skylar were still there and awake laying in bed so I talked with them until 3am about how Skylar thinks Kelly would be a good lay and that Kassie thinks Skylar should listen to my tales of how Nick is good at certain things that involve me not wearing my shirt.

Wednesday 7/4, I didn't sleep very well but that's to be expected. C-Mo finally woke me up around 9:30 by gently running his fingers all over my back, arms, side, everywhere. We talked for a long time and avoided breathing on each other then decided to get up and get ready to go get breakfast. He told me I cleaned up quick for such a little amount of time in the bathroom, then we headed up to his roof to see the view. It was a bizarre little ladder and hatch combo but I got up with no problems then we stood up there and marveled at how beautiful it was. It was sunny and warm already but the breeze was amazing and he even commented that every time we're outside and making out the wind is blowing. We climbed down and headed to Louisa's for some breakfast fare. I ordered the Northwest Scramble which had apples, walnuts, onion and blue cheese and was DELICIOUS. It became a contest to see who was going to finish their breakfast and I polished mine off first of course then he managed to eat all his. This happens to be a challenge because he usually doesn't eat breakfast and never has an appetite that early, and I always do, so it was a well matched competition. We talked the whole time and he says very complimentary things about me constantly which never gets old. Ever. I told him about B and he told me about some of his live-in girlfriend experiences. It was fascinating. We hit the road to go try and find the condos I've been perusing online and started talking about his daughter and I guessed right about the hair color. We found two of the ones I've been eyeing and both are so cute. We continued walking and admiring the tree-lined streets and how quaint it was then came to the park and sat on a bench and talked and made out then went down to the swings and did that for a while, then headed back down toward his place and went upstairs. I was going to leave but then he mentioned how nice it would be if we got undressed, climbed on top of the comforter, he would spritz me with his water bottle while the fan blew on us and he gently ran his fingers on my body while we took a nap. This also sounded good to me so that's what we did, and he put on Life Aquatic which thoroughly surprised and excited me. We made out a lot, watched most of the movie and went in and out of a sleepy state. It was a lot of fun actually. I continue to believe that he's the best I've had with the upper body area. To put it discreetly. He also thinks that our making out is the best because you never know when it's over and always just manages to keep going and that we shouldn't ever have sex. Which I'm totally ok with, and even more pleased that he said it. We got up, made out before I walked out the door and I called K on the way to my car then Susan who planned to come over after she was done in Kirkland. I drove home, took care of some business, showered and got ready then Susan came over. We talked for a few minutes then headed out to DQ where I got a delicious Oreo Blizzard and ate half of Susan's chocolate dipped cone and swirl ice cream. Back at home we sat in the living room half falling asleep and talking about boys then went upstairs to watch OC then Kassie called to say she was 10 minutes away and was going to spend the 4th with me at home, so that was a nice surprise. We went out back and watched Ida gallop around the backyard then with the little neighbor dog. Susan took off and we continued to sit out there and chat with the neighbors. Dad called and asked if we wanted to go to MN over Labor Day to see the fam so I said yes and Kassie's still not sure because she has to ask Skylar for permission or something. I ate a little salad then we turned on OC disc 1 of Season 4, talked to Dad again about the trip and booking tickets, talked to Kelly about pre-Neighbours plans, updated this and eventually went upstairs to turn in for bed.

Tuesday 7/3, It felt like the middle of the day when I got off work so that made me all excited so I called Kay-See to see what we were doing about karaoke and we decided if the boys bailed we would go see a movie or something. So I puttered around the house and did a thorough litter box change then ate the usual for dinner which was delicious! K called and said karaoke was not happening then I got a message from Matt on myspace saying the same thing so I showered and got ready, packed my overnight bag and set out for K's. We walked down to Pacific Place to catch the 8:45 showing of Evening. K got popcorn and after eating more than a few kernels I decided I needed my own so I went and got some and was finished with it before the start of the movie. The movie was ok, not fantastic, but that's ok. Patrick Wilson made it totally worth it. We walked back up to K's and busted ass up the big hill then chatted for a few minutes in her living room then took off, calling Charismo on the way out who told me to come on over. We made out as soon as I got there then he put another "campy summer camp movie" to continue our movie-make out streak: Meatballs. We made out for a while on the couch for a and kind of snuggled as I laid on his chest then decided we were both getting tired so we turned the movie off and I got ready for bed then we crawled in, made out a little, got all comfy and went to sleep.

Monday 7/2, I talked to Kelly on my lunch break and kind of ducked out of plans for the evening but rescheduled for Thursday, but he was like "I really want to hang out tonight...I feel like it's been so long since we've hung out" Uh oh. Groan. Me and my stupid ideas! Anyway, so we'll see how that goes. After work I talked to C-Mo and made plan for later in the evening. I went for my short walk and had a somewhat hard time with it even though I wasn't pushing myself that hard, but it was hot so I'm going to blindly accept that was my problem. At home I ate some tomato and mozzarella (of course) then had some strawberries and yogurt (again, of course) then hopped in the shower and talked to Kay-See about possible dancing plans for next weekend. I was in the process of getting ready when LPC bf called and I told him I would take off soon. I made it to his place with no traffic and we decided to do our walk right away because it was hot in his apartment. Well, we made out for a few minutes first then walked all over Eastlake, by the water anyway, and he showed me this cute little store that reminded me of the one at Lake Ponderay then we sat by the water and admired how beautiful it was and listened to the bad rap some boat was blasting. We started making out really, not sloppily, but it wasn't conservative for sure, and as soon as we stopped all these people came over by the water too. We joked that they had all been waiting for us to stop so they could come over and enjoy the water. We kept walking and looking at condos / houses and saw some hilarious stuff. There was the greenhouse where they probably breed crazy animal-human hybrids then there were the three houses in a row all brightly painted with tons of crap in the front and back yards and I guessed that there was a patriarch and three wives with various unattended children running around. Then there was the yard that I didn't think was that great but C-Mo did and the woman came out and made fun of people who buy property in the area and C was like (nudging my arm) "Yeah, who would do that?" and woman was like "I don't want a small condo for $425k" ha, yeah, I made a mad face at him. We eventually made our way back up to his place, made out some more inside then he suggested getting some B&J Cinnamon Roll ice cream, turning on Wet Hot American Summer and making out on the couch. I was like "Ok!" so we walked over and I told him my bloody nose story and we walked back, made out for a little bit, he put on the movie then we ate some ice cream then we made out for a long, long time. We got started around 9:15 and went until 11:45. Just making out and laughing when we heard funny parts on WHAM. It was very, very good and he did some very unique things with my "bare chest area" which he credited to his uke callous. The movie ended and it was finally time to go home so he insisted on walking me to my car which I liked, then we sat talking for a while before we finally said bye and made plans for me to have a sleep over the next night since it wasn't going to be a school night.

Sunday 7/1, I was up by 8:45, ate some cereal, showered and got dressed then headed out to the store for my shopping. Court called so I talked to her for a long time about Nick and plans for Wisconsin, then chatted with Dustin while he rang me up. At home I did a little tidying and laundry then started to fall asleep on my bed but decided to check my phone downstairs and had missed Kay-See's call, damn! I called her back but no answer so I decided to repot the orchids that the neighbors discarded but realized I needed new flower pots so I set out to Lowe's and on the way she called me back and told me to come over for some roof-top sunbathing. I picked up what I needed, grabbed my suit and a towel at home then set off for Seattle. We first went to RED so I could buy some of the Vitamin C face stuff that Megan had given me some samples of and when she rang me up it was $80. I was like, "WHAT?! Are you kidding me?" apparently not, so I ponied up and grumbled to myself that this stuff better work. We headed back to Kay-See's where we suited up and headed up to the roof with RATATAT, snacks and plenty to gossip about in the sunshine. I passed on the sunscreen even though Kay-See offered it to me many times based on the rationalization that the sun wasn't that strong and it wasn't even that hot. I would later regret this rationalization. We talked a bunch and tried to keep our potentially-offensive conversation low when the Japanese family came up to grill. A little after 4 we packed up and I headed out so K could go to church and I could get some work done around the house. When I got home I went on a walk and it felt good because I didn't rush it but still was getting a workout. I ate a bunch of veggies for dinner and a ton of frozen cookie dough and organized some more pictures and talked to Susan. It soon became apparent that I was very sunburned and I didn't have any good moisturizer so I left my house a little early and stopped at QFC for some Cetaphil then Alix called to say she'd landed so I drove down, sat in some traffic and picked her up at about 11, drove her home, left a bunch of give-away stuff in the garage and got home a little before midnight.

Saturday 6/30, I woke up at 7 and headed into work where I took care of business for an hour and a half then took off for home to meet a woman at my place to do an estimate for wood blinds. It turned out to be around a grand to do all the windows so I gave her the green light for the downstairs windows and even that is costing me $450. Ouch. Oh well. I headed back to work from 11:15 to 2:30 and on the way home I left Eric a voicemail about grabbing lunch or something sometime, then at home I ate a little food before taking off for my new favorite 3-miler where I was blatantly checked out by no fewer than 3 guys. Guy #1 hot “Dude” in an Escalade towing a nice boat, he gave me a classic “Dude Wave” and “Dude Head-Nod”, Guy #2 Guy on crotch rocket turns around to check me out then slows down and turns back around again and sits there staring at me…while still driving, clearly a daredevil Guy #3 Dad in convertible with son, this is the most common kind of checkout I encounter, being that I live in the burbs. Needless to say my ego growing by the second. I showered when I got home, called Grandma who pushed dinner back to 5 so I talked to Susan a little and kept organizing pictures and realized I have like 5 copies of one picture of Neil and me…what the hell am I going to do with all those? I can’t believe I developed so many of them. Maybe I can make a Neil and Karrah collage. Or not. I went to Grandma’s, talked with Ernie and Erika for a little while then they left and Grandma and I took off for the Roanoke for dinner. There were two cute waiters and luckily one of them was ours, yay! Food was good then I took Grandma home and got her settled before I took off back home. Talked to Kay-See about the night’s plans then watched a bunch of Myth Busters at home and updated this thing. I left a little before 10, stopped on MI for some cash and picked Kay-See up at her place. We headed down to Belltown where we found parking fairly easily, just a few blocks away, and headed to Belltown Billiards. I tried to flirt with the bouncer and though it probably didn’t work I find it to be good practice. We did a lap and tried to find Jenny and eventually did along with her friend Heidi who was so nice and totally fun. A good song came on so Heidi and I hit the dance floor right under the fan and danced our cares away and eventually Kay-See and Jenny joined as well. It didn’t take long for a couple of guys to make their way over, Parker and Cole, and Parker was a fan of Karrah’s until Kay-See came along and his affection was instantly diverted. Cole and Heidi totally hit it off and were so adorable together. The order of events are a bit blurry, but eventually K ditched Parker and picked up a red head who was totally handsy and ridiculous so I decided to take a lap and spotted some cute guys but then Around the World came on so I bolted back and K’s guy started trying to dance with me and getting all grabby so I kept moving his hands off me and telling him to stop then this dumb girl dropped her full glass of beer all over the back of my pants so I scream, “ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! AUUUUGGHHH!” and I turn back around and red head is still grabbing at me so I scream again, turn on my heel and stalk off the dance floor (per Kay-See’s observation). I had to get off the dance floor and was standing over by the door and K came over to check on me and Parker had managed to weasel his way back in so we’re standing there and I told her I just needed a few minutes to calm down and that I would be back when a good song came on. So they leave and I’m standing there and I dab at my nose and I’ve totally got a bloody fucking nose. At Belltown Billiards. Fantastic. 2nd time in a week and the two most inopportune times. The line to the bathroom was about 15 girls long so I run up to the bar but the one bar tender chooses to ignore me but another girl came and I was hysterical and luckily she gave me a whole stack of napkins and asked if I was ok. Then the bouncer was like “Are you ok?!” I told him yes then he asked if he could get me anything and I had to refrain from saying “Just your phone number”. So I’m standing up at the bar for about 10 minutes with a merciless bloody nose which eventually let up and I returned to the dance floor to tell K the news and Parker was back on the prowl and dragged us back to the VIP area where we were introduced to the rest of the bachelor party. We wanted to get back so we ditched those guys and hit the floor in an area where we spotted some groups of cute guys. A not great song came on so I went back over by the door to people watch. I spotted an adorable red head playing pool and kept trying to catch his eye, but was fantastically unsuccessful. I was however successful in attracting “Hot Gray Shirt” guy who ended up not being all that hot, but was from MN so I talked to him, Bryan. With a Y. K and Heidi came over and we just sat there for a while then we managed to ditch Parker for good then went and found Jenny and her and Heidi left. We headed to the back side of the dance floor where we’ve had success in the past. Lo and behold, it wasn’t long before we were the main attraction. The first was Chris and initially I thought he was cute but then decided no thanks and moved on to the next group. The Italians were relentless and EVERYWHERE (I was approached by 3, and K had her share as well). Eventually we hooked up with this group of three guys and the one meat-head looking one pushed a tall, thick framed glasses wearing cutie my direction so we danced quite a bit and he sang along to a bunch of the rap selections and kept asking if I was laughing at him. The lights came up and I told him I’d had fun even though I didn’t even know his name so he introduced himself as Charlie then K and I hit the bricks. We walked back to the car, dropped K off after gabbing about how much fun we’d had dancing with those last guys then texted Eric to see if he was still up. He didn’t text back until I was home and getting ready for bed so I called him and we talked for about 10 minutes and he was a little ambivalent so we’ll see what happens…though I’m guessing nothing. Went to bed at like 2:45.

Friday 6/29, After work I got Jacques some food and litter and it was pouring! I ate a little dinner and headed over to Grandma’s at 7:15 where she commented that having Peggy move our office into Seattle “must be quite a feather in your hat” which I laughed at for a while. I love that. I ate the rest of the spanikopita and sat and talked with her until 9 before walking with her down to the mailboxes and showing her how to work the shredder. At home I kept busting ass on my photo album (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Jess’ Dad’s house weekend when we met Trevor and New Year 07 with Kay-See, Ky and Richie) and did some other cleaning and editing of all the crap I’ve accumulated over the years. I talked to Susan for a while and eventually read and went to sleep a little after 11.

Thursday 6/28, I got ready for my walk when I got home and set out, happy that it had stopped raining. Well that was premature because about a quarter of the way into my 3-mile route it started raining a little. Then a little more and pretty soon it was really coming down and there was essentially nothing I could do. I could either keep going and complete my workout or turn back and end up just as wet. I trudged forward and was thankful that I hadn't worn my white tank top because it would have been quite a show for all the suburban-neighborhood folk. The good news is I shaved a little over 5 minutes off my time...nothing like a deluge to motivate me to get home more quickly. I was most worried about my headphones and cd player getting ruined, because it really was quite pleasant out and I didn’t mind being caught in it. The air was warm and the rain felt incredibly cleansing. If it had been raining when I got home from work I wouldn't have gone so I'm glad it didn't start until I was too far into my walk to turn back. When I got home I stripped naked in the entry and carried my sopping clothes up to the washing machine and put some dry ones on. I made some dinner and watched WoF then talked to Susan, ate some cookies, continued on my cleaning quest and got some more things put away and pictures into the album from Neighbours and Cowgirls Inc. and from when I finally saw Eric after not hearing from him for two weeks. Too bad we both look terrible in all those pictures. My hair was bad and he looks haggard. I still adore him. I wonder when I won't. If ever. I started assembling a give away bag to go along with the 8 other bags / boxes I have in the garage. I need to take that shit over to Mom's cause I know she'll take it to the Union Gospel for me. Hmm, what else? LPC bf sent me a cute teasing lap-straddle message before bed which I replied to, oh, found an old message in my inbox from Kauai Matt and wrote him a little note so we'll see what happens there, and eventually showered and got into bed, read and went to sleep.

Wednesday 6/27, I called Zeph on my lunch break and he wanted to know if I wanted to go on a hike next weekend so I said I was in and he's going to confirm he'll have the time off, yay! So now Kay-See and I are planning on going and if Zeph goes too, then cool, if not we're still huffing it up that mountain. I'm pondering inviting Kelly too if Zeph goes because they're both super into rock climbing, what with me calling while he was at REI buying new equipment and everything. Coincidence? I think not. I got off work a bit early so I stretched then headed out for my walk. I did the 3-miler again and think it's not too bad. I mean my calves hurt a little, but no pain no gain, right? RIGHT. When I got home I fixed a piece of toast, steamed a bunch of carrots, fixed a squash, mozzarella and swiss omelet then ate about 5 cookies. Delicious! LPC bf called me and we talked for a few minutes before his friend showed up for a boy gossip-session. I started on the task of trying to clean some of the shit out of my room and talked to Kay-See who persuaded me to get rid of my cap and tassel from our UPS graduation, because really, what am I going to do with it? Hold on to it forever? It's just taking up room and frankly I didn't even know I still had it. I just randomly came across it while digging through my hope chest. I dug a whole lot of pictures out and decided to just start on an album beginning with St. Martin just for a jumping off point, otherwise I'm never going to get around to it. So I put those in and a bunch of Eric then Susan called and told me she found a picture of what she thought was Eric on some girl's blog and forwarded me the link and sure as shit, it was taken two nights after I went over to his place and made out with him a few weeks back. He's so fucking hot I can't stand it. Seriously. So that opened up my curiosity again, because frankly, I haven't been thinking about him much since the whole Jake / LPC bf / Kelly train started hauling ass down the tracks. Why not add one more car to that train? What's the harm really? Ha, yeah Karrah, keep telling yourself that. Anyway, I made some headway with my room but I'm going to need to pick up the pace a little if I plan on staying on schedule. I climbed into bed, read a bit then went to sleep.
