Monday 7/23, I hit the store quickly then headed home and started on chores and cleaning before changing and leaving for RED for another facial with Megan. I found parking easily and was a few minutes early. She said my face, though still spotty and bumpy, looks much better and the bumps are much smaller. Yay! So I’m going to continue with my regimen and hope for the best. Got interesting news from Sean, but already kind of knew from Kassie. Um, drove home, talked to Eliso about plans for the next day, did a ton more cleaning for a little over an hour and it still isn’t as clean as I’d like but it’s going to have to be fine. Traded a few kissy texts with N, talked with Skylar for a few then with Kassie as she drove home about Mom's move and Jake and all that for quite a while, then turned on the news and updated this thing.
Sunday 7/22, I woke up at 8:30 to try and get a jump on my day. I went in and talked with Mom, Auntie Heidi and Grandma about where I’m going to live and selling my place and all that fun stuff before going up to the loft to finish packing and getting ready. Dad got back with the eggs and we all talked in the motor home while he whipped up a delicious batch of French Toast and we coordinated for his and Mom’s trip over the mountain to help me with some light construction and bathroom planning. I packed up my car, said good bye to everyone and managed to be the first one off the property, though I know Kassie was only about an hour behind me. The drive was fine and I’m glad I took Steven’s even though it was a little patchy in places. At home I started putting stuff away and cleaning but ended up taking a few extended breaks to update the blog and flickr pictures. N and I exchanged some texts and many messages later in the evening. We’re both having make out withdrawals. I talked with Susan and Kay-See then Mom and continued to alternate between lounging, cleaning and laundry-ing. Jacques totally attached my leg, practically climbing up it at one point in order to bite me on my upper thigh. Fucking cat. I don’t know why he does this. But I yelled in his face, chased him out of my room with a shoe and closed the door. He meowed sadly for a large portion of the night. I went to bed before midnight and took a Benadryl to ensure I would get a good night’s sleep and not wake up continually from my mosquito bites.
Saturday 7/21, Kay-See and I got up when Dad came up to tell us the “Big Breakfast” was ready. We headed down and dished up before everyone because Auntie Heidi said we could. Ha, suckas. I think she felt bad about my tramp stamp incident. We all sat on the deck stuffing ourselves first thing in the morning and Kassie tried to pawn her sausage off on me but I threw it right back onto her plate as I walked by. I think she eventually snuck it onto Dad’s plate. The three of us showered and put our suits on since it was warmer than it had been since we got there. The three of us girls and the two Goldens went for a walk almost to the train tracks and had a good time talking and watching Kassie scare away the aggressive neighborhood dogs by stepping toward them and putting her hand up (“They hate that shit”). When we got back we sat on the deck and soaked up some sun and organized our rocks for the impending rock projects. I painted a rock for Raft Club and was done fairly quickly, as I generally like to get in and get out, while everyone else took their time and busted out the votive project. I ate like 5 pieces of Amish licorice that AH brought out, then a bunch of crackers and grapes, then Mom made “snacks” which included cheesy potato skins (with bacon!), a cheese, cracker and meat platter, chips with pico de gallo and chips with French onion dip. Needless to say I ate way too much and felt like shit. Kay-See and I walked down to the water and spotted this mongoose / ferret thing that was like following us and trying to get our attention or something. Ryder came down and went toward it and it was all “Hisss!” and scared the shit out of him. He backed out after that. We both took a few pictures of it and cracked up. Around 6 or so Kay-See took off for home because she had a race the next day. Uncle Brad sent us out for ice so we took the Benz and ended up running into Mark and his crew and talked to them for a while, then invited us to come by to their campfire later, then we tried to make rezies at Gustav’s but were rebuffed by the bitchy hostess and eventually made our way home texting the vol. fire fighter they had encountered the night before. This guy apparently likes to brag about his new cabin or something. Back at home I got ready and we all ended up leaving about 45 minutes later with the four of us girls in Kassie’s car. Kass and I got into an argument in the car about her pot smoking but we eventually kind of worked it out and ended up all collaborating on texts to send to the VFF. At Gustav’s we put our name in and didn’t have to wait long after the rest of the parents and grandparents arrived to be seated. Dinner was an absolute riot with hilarious texts going back and forth with the guy and also with Kassie telling diarrhea and other random pooping stories from Burning Man and the Rainbow Gatherings. Hailey and Callie were in stitches, seriously laughing so hard, and I’m pretty sure the whole restaurant was looking at us. Kassie told Callie to text VFF asking if he had a bear skin rug in his new cabin and then on the way home she asked if Hailey wore his rug if he would chase her and try to shoot her and we were all dying and he totally didn’t get that we were dicking with him. I kind of felt bad for the guy especially when he asked when he was going to get to see them and Kassie told her to text “Probably never” and he was all “Why?” then we were out of cell range and I guess that was his response…just, nothing. Poor guy. Back at the ranch we all went upstairs and started the girl talk and Hailey fell asleep before Kassie could show her the hot guy she wanted to hook her up with and then Kassie and I got into it again about the pot and we totally don’t see eye to eye, yet we both know where each other is coming from. It made me start to rethink things with N and if I really want to deal with all that bullshit. Don’t know. Anyway, I went to sleep next and Kassie and Callie turned in at some point.
