Sunday 2/10, I woke up at 8:30 and went to get gas and was set on working out when I got home, but my butt hurt from the day before so I decided against it and instead on cleaning for the entire morning, which I surprisingly did. I organized a whole bunch of bills and got some pictures hung and sheets washed and old boxes cleaned out and Kassie’s closet partially organized. It felt so good and by the time 12:15 rolled around I was ready to prep to meet Kay-See for lunch. When I got there we headed straight downtown for lunch at PF Chang’s and got a nice big booth. We put in our order, checked out the cute wait staff and I started in on the list of stories I needed to fill her in on: Erik, Ian, Eric and Eric. So much to cover and so much food to consume. We did well on both fronts. I told her all about my adventures and she told me about a few of hers then we packed up and headed out to do some not-so-shopping. She needed to return some stuff so first up was Anthro and we visited with Michelle for a bit and talked about organizing another girls’ night. We hit J Crew then up to Specialties where we both got delicious cookies and sat in the lobby of her Mom’s building and talked about grandparents and hideous dresses. Not related. We headed back up to her house where she loaded me down with more homemade cookies then headed back to my car and called Dad. Told him and Mom about my date and found out how Palm Springs and Aubrie’s competition was; apparently it was 80 there. Boo. I went to the store on my way home and talked to Susan about her day then headed home and watched some SatC and fell asleep. I woke up right at 6 and hurried over to Mom’s for chicken and gravy and stuffing. I filled them in on some of my stories and Dad asked what was so wrong with “Beautiful” and Mom agreed that it was better than “Bitch” as we did best and worst. I hung around for a while, ate like 3 brownies, and we talked in the living room discussing the caucuses and how Alix is a delegate for Obama and how impressive that is of her. Good girl. I went home and called Susan and watched a depressing EHM where the poor guy kept crying. By the end I was like “Give this guy a break, jeeez!” I went to bed after reading for a little bit because I was extremely tired.

Saturday 2/9, I got up before 9 and did my workout then puttered around and eventually made it into the shower and got ready then headed to Ky’s for our mid-day date. We went to Panera and I got a wonderful little apple tart / pastry thing. We grabbed a booth and talked about him and P and how we hope K is ok and hasn’t back slid but that we’re not sure. Next up we went to BB&B and Ky kept telling me to buy everything, so I kind of did. Next we went to the little Antique mall place and tried to see the cute grandson then Ky scratched himself right in front of this old lady with a walker. He didn’t even see her until it was too late so we got the hell out of there after that. K called and said she couldn’t get together for lunch because of a family thing so I told her to call me if she needed anything and we rescheduled for the next day. I took Ky home and made some lunch then left some voicemails and listened to music and read. I talked to Susan then tried to fall asleep but it didn’t last, then J kept me up then Chrystol called back and we made tentative plans for the evening. She called back an hour or so later and after a few episodes of SatC and said Eric was coming up from Tacoma and asked if I wanted to come over for dinner. I accepted and got ready then headed in. When I arrived Eric was already there and we all did greetings as I sat down and we talked for quite a while. Chrystol at one point exclaimed “Laugh!” and we cracked up, but not the boys because they didn’t get it. Eric is so funny and I was in stitches all night. Chrystol told me we were going to go to Goodwill which excited me and I was telling Schuyler about Chrystol’s fortune as we walked out to the car. Chrystol informed Eric that he was driving because his car is the funnest to ride in and nicest. As I climbed into the backseat I murmured to Chrystol “I think this is the nicest car I’ve ever been in” then verbally noted the large backseat with raised eyebrows. She just laughed. So we take off to Goodwill and C and I split off from the boys to look at wedding dresses and she convinced me to try on a pair of tropical shorts but they didn’t do much for my hips, then she found this hilarious cat shirt but unfortunately didn’t get it. I ended up with a Rick Steves London guide, Eric scored some cassette tape whose cowboy singer apparently looks like Chrystol’s Dad and Chrystol walked away with a flower pot and Twix. We shared it in the car and I put my guide in the little pocket above my head and Eric confirmed that nothing’s ever been stored there. We decided on Agua Verde for dinner and as we made our way over Joan Jett’s “Do You Wanna Touch? (Oh Yeah!)” came on the radio and I told Schuyler the Harborrats should cover it and he said he thought it would be a cool so we’ll see. When we got down to the UD AV was closed so we headed back into Ballard and went to some little Italian place. It was about 9 and the place was pretty empty so we were seated, perused the menu then ordered. Eric got some spanikopita that both S and C had some of then the food came and we all did pretty good. The conversation was great and we were all constantly in stitches from each other. We talked politics and Eric made some hilarious points about McCain and we all felt a little bad for laughing at what he was saying. E and S asked me if I knew one of their friend’s sister from UPS and I totally did. She was an RA and I told them a funny story about her. We all ordered dessert and continued the laughter. We finally asked for the bill a little after 11 and after not being able to figure out our individual totals (especially after C figured out that Eric owed $75, $4 more than the total bill) our server offered to split them up. We were relieved. Eric was like “You all owe me a few bucks for the spanikopita” (but was totally kidding) and I was like “I didn’t eat any; I don’t owe you shit” and he thought that was very funny. See Eric, I’m funny too! He’s funnier though. We took off and drove back to C and S’ and I bid them goodnight even though there was an invitation to go in and watch Harry and the Hendersons and see all the Seattle stuff. I declined because it was almost midnight and drove home, crawled into bed and watched some SNL before going to sleep.

Friday 2/8, While at work Erik sent me a text saying “How are you today beautiful?” and I just cracked up. Beautiful again? Really? It’s totally flattering and sweet but is it sincere? I don’t know. Maybe he calls everyone beautiful. Maybe he’s really giving me a genuine compliment and I have a hard time accepting it. So we traded texts back and forth then I asked if I would talk to him next week and he responded with “Definitely” so I figured that was a good sign. I feel a bit conflicted but won’t go into it on here because you just never know who will come across it and I don’t feel like putting EVERYTHING on it. Hmm. I got my title and everything straightened out after work at the DOL then went home and got a few things done. Kay-See called while I was moving a bookcase and told me I should call Ky cause he was just at home for the evening and that she might call to see what we’re up to later and we planned to go to lunch the next day to catch up. I fixed a delicious dinner of herbed chicken and rice and called Ky and asked him if he wanted to go to Dairy Queen and he did so I picked him up and we headed over talking about Craig’s List and Missed Connections. The shift manager was less than amused by my joke but Ky and I ordered anyway and sat in the back for optimum romancanticness. We chatted for a while and eventually headed back to Issaquah and stopped at Target where I got way more stuff than I needed thanks to Ky, but most importantly a Rolling Stone with Thom on the cover which I almost died over. I dropped Ky off after making plans for the next day to meet up with him at Panera. When I got home I made some popcorn and felt guilty over it. I talked to Susan for a long time while watching a rerun of DH. I think I went to bed after midnight.

Thursday 2/7, While at work I texted Erik to thank him again for dinner and said if only he wasn’t such an asshole. He thought that was funny and told me not to blow his cover. I went to the store for a few things on my way home and the one checker that is bipolar (always either in a really good mood or a really bad mood) was making jokes and all chipper so that was nice. I kind of flirted with him for like 10 seconds as he told me about bread balls with butter or peanut butter in the middle. Funny. At home I started getting ready and ate some dinner then talked to Susan and Chrystol and made plans with each for later in the evening. I made it out the door and did fine with traffic and everything until I got into Seattle. I swear no one in this state can drive. It took me forever to make it into Ballard and I was kind of screaming for most of 50th, especially after a semi cut me off. Good times. I called Kassie and told her my dream from last weekend and about all my other random dreams then about possibly visiting in April and she got all excited then I had to go since I had arrived at Schuyler and Chrystol's. The three of us chit chatted and C mentioned that Sam was working and that maybe we should stop by and say hi and I was like "Count me in. We could get dessert or something!" because we all know how much I love dessert. We said bye to Schuyler then headed out and I started telling her about my date with Erik. I had her laughing as we meandered through Seattle on our way down to Pioneer Square. Found great parking and decided to leave our coats behind. They turned the old Snowboard Connection or whatever into a gallery with some great work and I wanted to buy like 5 pieces. But didn't. We went next door and headed up the stairs seeing Sarah W on the way up who confirmed that Jason was in fact spinning in her space. There was some fruit loop djing on the first floor and we were totally cracking up and tried to avert our eyes. We went up to the next level and my painting wasn't there, wahhhh, buuut I went to her website and it doesn't say sold on it so it might still be available. Though, the website might be out of date. I'll email her and find out. We continued to explore and climb and ended up in a room where everyone was coloring pictures and posting on the walls and anyone could buy them and C and I both liked the kid throwing his food the best, and the Dennis Kucinich one, it was uncanny, but also up to $30 so C didn't pony up. We eventually made it up to Sarah's space and I talked with Jason for a long time and we joked that he would create a diversion then throw me out the fourth floor window so I could escape unnoticed by Chuck. He didn't remember Jason though so maybe he wouldn’t remember me either. It was good to see him and he let me play with some of his sound effect toys. We joked about a laser show and blinding people accidentally with a mouse laser pointer. Johnny Wow was next and we always appreciate that room and there were a bunch of cat ones that C was in love with, especially the one where it looks like the cat is telling the viewer to just leave it alone or no thanks, back out or something. Then there was a fortune hat and Chrystol pulled out "She called her vagina the 'rubyfruit jungle'" and we both almost died. She gave it to me as a present even though it's not a fortune at all. It was fairly empty and a lot of spaces were closed even though it was only 9 as we were winding down, so that was a little disappointing. I'm sure as it gets warmer they'll stay open later again. As we left we talked about going to see Sam and some upcoming shows and decided to go see him. We parked just down the block and ran up. It was sooo windy, people were hiding in the alcove in front of the restaurant. We requested to sit in Sam's section and the guy said he'd just cut him, and we were like "Oh my god, what does that mean? Did Sam get fired RIGHT NOW?" but he was standing like 15 feet away so we didn't know what the hell was going on. He saw us and came over and told us to sit in the bar and thoroughly went over the dessert list with us. As we waited I continued my stories about Erik and how the date had progressed and we meandered to other subjects as well and then Chrystol looks outside and goes "I like that we're in this fancy restaurant and you look across the street and there's the Lusty Lady. Keepin it real" and I laughed sooo hard. The Lusty Lady is so keeping it real across the street it's not even funny. Sam would come talk to us for long stretches which was fun and when he tried to take the dessert and commented on needing a microscope to see if we'd finished I exclaimed “Not yet, I’m not done!” and he was like “Whoa, jeez, okayyyy” then said I could take it out on his knuckles like they do in the back. They were trying to close up so Chrystol and I wrapped it up then Sam came over and said dessert was on him which was so so sweet and even though he said not to leave a tip Chrystol was like “What do we do? He said not to” so we didn’t but we vowed to buy him a couple beers next time, maybe Saturday at a show he invited us to. We headed out and ran to my car and I finished up my story about Erik and Chrystol came up with a very good idea about how to finish a night when you’re not sure if there should be kissing involved or not…which spawned some ideas in my head. I think I’ve got a fool proof strategy that will only be proved successful if I don’t chicken out of actually trying it. I dropped C and called Susan and met her up at our spots and we sat in the hooptie for a while discussing my evening and total lack of a coat to take into Neighbs. We hurried because it was so windy and freezing and had our ids checked at the door and went in and upstairs. It was really crowded for how early it was and we spotted that dumb raver guy where Tye usually dances. A good song came on so we hit the floor and passed Darren and Teal by the bar and said hi. I told Teal about Erik and he was like “Was it amazing?!” so I shared a few details then Susan and I went out to dance. I looked at my phone and both Michael and Ky had texted asking if I was there so I wrote back and begged Michael to come. Ky showed up first so we talked and danced then took a break when a dumb Cure song came on. Ky wanted a drink so I tried to help him decide but not really because I don’t know anything about drinks so we talked instead and checked out boys. And he told me he had to ask if he could check his backpack and I almost died laughing; just picturing him showing up with his backpack kills me. We talked more then moved under the black light and saw Michael come in and got a nice big hug from him and felt his muscles, mostly the biceps, then he asked me if I wanted to feel his other bicep and thrusted his pelvis in my direction. We all laughed manically. I made bicep jokes for the rest of the night. Susan came off the floor from dancing with Teal and Darren and yelled at us for not dancing so Michael went out with her. I needed water so we went to the back bar where my bartender was and I told Ky the gossip about him. We headed out to the dance floor to join Susan, Michael and his friends and Teal and Darren. We had so much fun and Susan’s SP bf was over and dancing by us and was like a magnet to her. We all got crazy and were having tons of fun. Ky was trying to tie a cherry stem in his mouth and mock started chocking so I pretended to give him the Heimlich maneuver. There was this ridiculous guy wearing all sorts of layers and a hilarious hat and Susan joked that she was going to give him a dollar to check his coat. And hat. Then we said that Susan’s SP bf was going to choke her with his ponytail. I don’t remember why he was going to choke her though. The songs were pretty good and we danced for what felt like forever and Ky sang along to all the words of Jitterbug and it was so fun. Ky was cruising all sorts of guys and would randomly disappear then reappear and Susan and I would make due dancing with Teal and Michael in between. It was a lot of fun and I wasn’t even looking around for cute boys because frankly all the cute boys were dancing right in our circle. Right at the end this really hot tall redhead showed up and both Susan and I were like “Hell-O!” but it was soon apparent he was on something and was all over all these guys and running into people then Michael dished the dirt about how he knows who he is and we steered clear. Cute though. We decided to go, grabbed coats, I got two kisses from Michael then Ky, Susan and I headed out into the wind. Ky and I talked all the way back to Issaquah, I dropped him off, drove home and went to bed.
