Saturday 4/12, I set my alarm for 9 so I could clean the house and be ready by the time Eric showed up. I ate a little breakfast then started cleaning and made great time and got pretty much everything done that I had wanted to. The chimney cleaner guy came in and inspected and said I needed a cleaning so it’s scheduled in like two weeks. I made a little fruit smoothie mid-morning and talked to Susan and told her about my plans and she told me about her night then I got back to work. I talked to Chrystol and we discussed my pending date and their plans for the day. I eventually hopped in the shower after all my chores were done, tried on a couple different outfits, decided on one, painted my fingernails then talked to Susan again. I looked out my window and saw the Rover parked at the top and exclaimed “Shit, he’s here!” (20 minutes early) so she let me go and I ran downstairs to find him standing at my front door with a bouquet of gerber daisies. That was so sweet I couldn’t stop smiling then he told me he’d forgotten the directions and had still managed to get right to my doorstop. Crazy. We went upstairs and I put the flowers in water then we sat down in the living room and just talked. Forever. He told me he’d gone out on a limb for our plans and had bought Mariners tickets and I was impressed with his planning process because it was beautiful out so it took advantage of that and also that it would allow us to talk and hang out but to be entertained by something else when we weren’t talking. He kept joking that I hated the plan and would resent him for the rest of the day. Eventually I showed him the upstairs and my big map with all the places I’ve been and he was fairly impressed I think. We decided to go get something to eat so we piled into his car and went to Sweet Addition and sat on the back deck in the sun. I had a piece of cranberry orange coffeecake and he had soup and sandwich and we just sat there talking forever too. It was really fun. It was 5 so we headed into Seattle with a few slight detours and finally down to Safeco and ended up in a pay lot right next to the stadium. We went in and found our seats and started watching the game and looking for Kassie’s Angel conquest but didn’t see him. We talked through the entire game and I’m sure the people around us wanted to stab us. There were a couple times I was laughing so hard I couldn’t even breathe and I just kept putting my hands over my face. The best was talking about how one 8 year old would bend the other over a seat and the dad would encourage him to keep dominating his friend. It was hilarious. We had so much fun and he caught me zoning out during the montage and laughed at me. He touched my leg a couple times and my arm and I was like “Ooooh!” He dissed my boobs a little bit after I told him about the T or D game with the gays and cracked up when I called him out on it. He dissed me again and I told him after three he was out. Toward the end of the game I thought we were in a different inning and he told me it was almost over and we stood waiting for the last out and kept saying how I thought it was the worst date ever because he took me to a game. After the game we sat and talked some more waiting for people to clear out then headed out ourselves. Getting out of there took forever and after some creative weaving we made it onto the freeway and he told me that he’d had a lot of fun and that I’m really down to earth and that he was glad he’d asked me for my number. It was so cute and so genuine. He said he’d like to do it again and I agreed and said I would too. It was adorable. Then he managed to diss me for a third time, but instead of being offended or whatever we just laughed and couldn’t breathe again. He’s so hilarious I can’t stand it. He wanted to stop at DQ and I wasn’t about to argue with that so we got blizzards and laughed about the workers and the one guy’s ramblings about the napkin thread count. We also joked that Ichiro would take his family there after a game. So we went and sat in the back where it was cooler since we were both warm and still cracking up about everything happening in the front. We were there almost an hour and a half; time flew. We left and saw Robert Mak on the way out and Eric couldn’t stop laughing that I was completely star struck and said Robert smiled at me when he saw me ga-ga-ing but I missed it. He drove me back and pulled up to my front door and said all of those complimentary things again and that it’s been a long time since he’s been out with someone which I found very endearing then reiterated that he would like to do it again. I told him I was down and that I was glad he asked for my number and that he’d played it all out in his head before it actually happened, “In my head you’d already said yes!” I was laughing until the end. He leaned over and gave me a hug then I got out and went upstairs. Susan had sent me a message so I called her and filled her in on my day. We hung up when SNL started and I made it about half way through before turning it off and going to sleep.
Friday 4/11, I went home and did some cleaning and was so excited that it was nice and that it was Friday I didn’t even feel like napping though I probably should have. Eric called like clockwork to make plans for the next day and told me he would aim to be at my house at 1:00. I ate some dinner then hopped in the shower and made plans for the night’s events with Susan. We decided it would be better to take the bus and Susan was all over the schedules like a pro. I got ready and quickly hit the road and we ran upstairs before heading out to the bus stop across the street. I was getting all my phlegm out and spitting all over the place and as Susan was pouring over the various routes I was spitting and on the last one I exclaimed to her “Did you see that one?! I got it all the way to that divot!” and as I turn around I see this guy in a car at the four way stop looking at me smiling and half laughing and I instantly realize he probably just saw me spitting repeatedly and excitedly ask Susan if she’d seen my spit range, and he goes “That was a good one” and I nervously laughed, put my hand over my face and turned around. We both cracked up all night over that. So we get on the bus and ride it downtown then walked to our transfer spot and tried to stay warm. Finally our bus came but only went down a few blocks and we were informed that we would have to get off and take a shuttle the rest of the way. We thought, fuck that, we’ll walk. So we did. Forever. We stopped by Cowgirls Inc and said hi to Andy and got hugs but he was in a bad mood or something because it was just “one of those nights” or something so we kept on and didn’t look back. We finally made it and went in the all ages’ side and found a good spot. The opener was not very good and we were not entertained at all. We were on the lookout for cute guys but were severely out of luck except for Susan’s bf with the studded penis ‘for her pleasure’ and though he looked like he was from Britain he was actually from Philadelphia. Cat Power took forever to go on and we were laughing that she was psyching herself up to not run off the stage. There were some really irritating people that kept standing in front of us and the worst was this drunk girl and her dumb bf humping her from behind. The set was very good and her voice is just amazing and the accompanying music as well. I can see why a lot of guys are into her because I was pretty enamored and I’m not even into girls. We decided to leave at 11:30 when the stage cleared out but totally missed the bus and saw it go by. So instead of waiting for the next we just decided to walk. From Showbox SoDo to Pike and 4th. It was such a long haul but we booked it and ignored all the people talking to us and caught the bus and even had time to sit and relax for a minute. But not for long because this idiot was loudly talking and being annoying. His friend looked like Chad Michael Murray despite Susan trying to say he didn’t because she watches OTH all the time. The ride back up was nice then we said our goodbyes and I headed home. I saw Eric online so I called him and he answered and we talked for a bit and he told me he’s working at Pesos part time and that it’s good then had to go but called me back and we talked about Kauai and my date with the other Eric and the other Erik and Ian and he said “I saw that one coming” but that I’d just seen him and Kassie and some other stuff then I told him how great I think what he does is and he actually accepted the compliment and didn’t change the subject or deflect so that was nice. I told him to get some sleep and not be a stranger and ended the call. That’s probably a first. Went to bed.
Thursday 4/10, I felt so awful at work so I left a half hour early and was set on relaxing for the night. I talked to Kassie briefly then Sos and filled her in on my trip and how things went with Ian and how she said it’s ok if I make out with Eric despite what Kay-See says. I talked to Susan while I started getting dinner ready and we decided against Neighs and CI because I was feeling too shitty and she wasn’t feeling tip top either. My computer’s been acting up so I called Dell support and two and a half hours later he’d figured out my battery is dead and I need a new hard drive. I had wanted to call Chrystol but it was after 10 by the time I got off the phone and my throat was so sore I just wanted to go to bed. I talked to Mom quickly and expressed my frustration but Dad was in the tub so I couldn’t tell him about the computer plans and the help I needed. I went to bed slightly aggravated.
Wednesday 4/9, Billy called me while I was at work and left a message that his dad died that morning and he couldn’t get a hold of Jess and asked me to let her know if I talked to her. I was out running errands so I called her and didn’t know if I would get through but I did. She was in shock and couldn’t believe it and I confirmed his number to her and told her I would talk to her later. She called back about 30 minutes later and filled me in a little and we talked about crepes then hung up. I asked Susan if she wanted to go to the Cat Power show and she did so I bought tickets and Peggy let me leave about 20 minutes early. I was so tired and feeling like shit I nixed a walk and did some light cleaning and homeowner-y stuff like call my mortgage company and homeowner insurance company just to confirm some things. I called Billy to see how he was doing and I felt soo bad for him because he just sounded so lost. I let him vent a little and just kept telling him I was sorry and to let me know if he needed anything, even though he said everyone’s been saying that. He was still totally in shock and I feel terrible for him. I got into my pjs and ate some dinner and talked to Susan again. Kay-See called to see if she could come over so we could talk story so I excitedly put some cream cheese brownies in the oven and watched the bs recap ANTM until she arrived. We popped in her bbq chicken pizza and started gabbing about Eric (Schuyler and Chrystol’s), my trip, Ian, married friends, friends with kids and friends who will one day have kids. Then we talked about good stuff like ranking the guys we’ve slept with. That was funnest. We ate some pizza and brownies and sat on the counters and talked until 10:15 or so then she went home and I watched the news.
