Thursday 4/24, Eric sent me a cute text first thing in the morning and called me "babe" which totally cracked me up. I was somewhat sore from my workout the day prior but forced myself to workout anyway so I suited up and took off down the trail about 18 minutes then turned around and ran almost all of it and was back before I knew it. I hopped in the car and drove home feeling glad I already had my workout out of the way. I talked to Susan when I got home and ate a salad and some leftover pizza then jumped in the shower. After I got out I called Chrystol since it was 7 and we decided I would meet at her place at 9. I finished getting ready then settled onto my bed watching Ugly Betty and eating way too many lemon cookies from Susan. At 8:30 I took off and arrived promptly at 9. I gave her a bunch of pictures and we had a good time laughing at all of them and deciding which we liked the best and looked the craziest in and which one we were going to take to show Schuyler while he played. We talked at length about Eric and what Chrystol's role in the whole thing has been and our respective dating experience so that was endlessly fascinating which I'm taking as a good sign because there are other guys I've dated who I could have cared less about learning more about. I'm not naming names. So the fact that I want to know so much more about him is a good thing. I looked at the time and it was almost 10 so we quickly walked over to Tractor even though my legs were killing me. The Harborrats had just gone on and were accompanied by a girl named Shelby or something (or maybe they were backing her?) and she sang the OC theme song by Phantom Planet and it was really good and I sang along. Some of the other highlights were some other bands in particular: Debonair, who played California Love by 2Pac and it was fantastic, then The Maldives who I could have listened to all night. The bassist in TM was cracking us all up and I kept asking is this guy was for real and thankfully he was. It was really entertaining and there was crazy people watching and it was incredible. Chrystol and I picked out our bfs in TM and she really liked the long curly haired blonde guy from one of the other bands as well who played the mandolin and reminded her of guys from home. At the end there was an "All Star Jam" and that was hilarious too with like 20 people on stage and everyone singing and playing instruments. It was great. Schuyler, Chrystol and I just stood there and shook our heads. I didn't have a chance to say bye to Sam and barely got to say hi or talk to him either. Next show I guess. We took off and passed a gym on the way and started making all sorts of dirty jokes about asking the guys inside to rub my thighs and getting the gold medal in the "clean and jerk" competition, then some guy giving me a banana for my muscles so I could get my fill of potassium and magnesium. We laughed half way back simply from dirty gym and weight lifting jokes. I took off when we got back and made great time getting to the freeway.

Wednesday 4/23, I sent Matt a birthday message and told him I'm going to Kauai next month and that it won't be the same without him. After work I knew I needed to work out and since the weather was so funky I decided to just do my workout video. I talked to Susan and made plans for her to come over then got started on the vid and did both level 1 and 2 and felt whooped. I showered then Dad called so I talked to him a bit then Eric called my cell and Dad let me go so I talked to him for a little while. He said Friday's off but asked if I wanted to hang on Saturday. Susan arrived so I talked to him for a few more minutes then hung up and discussed which ring tone she should program in. I threw the pizza in and got the bread and dip out and started peeling some carrots. We snacked until the pizza was done and by that point we were both not all that hungry. We watched Jeopardy and I got the final jeopardy question right then ANTM started. We both ate more pizza than we should have but it was sooo good. Susan's in love with Anya and I think it's hilarious, "She's so nice". She didn't stick around too long after it was over so I headed upstairs to get ready for bed but decided to call Chrystol. She didn't know what time the HR were playing but said she was going. She asked about Eric and how that's going and said he says very complimentary things about me to her so that's adorable and that he's also a gentleman and doesn't divulge too much. Unlike me. I’m a gossip! But girl talk is different so it's ok. She doesn't want to think about us making out but when I said, "Ok well I guess I'll leave that part of last night out then" she was like "No, no, I want to hear about it!" so I filled her in and she was surprised he was a good kisser. We laughed a lot. After hanging up I finished getting ready for bed, watched the news and went to sleep.

Tuesday 4/22, I got off work a bit early and raced home to hop in the shower and get ready before Eric arrived. He had mentioned he was going to aim for 6 but I told him to feel free to come over anytime after 5:15. I showered and got ready quickly and looked out the window at 5:10 and he was already there! I swore and quickly brushed my teeth, fluffed my hair and went down and knocked on his window. He said he'd been knocking and yelling up at my window and I told him why I didn't answer. I like that he was early though. I helped him carry in all the food and he had this little pan carrier which was cracking me up and he clarified later that he borrowed it from his Mom who was just glad it was getting some use. Neither of us was hungry at all so I suggested a walk and took him to the little park with the trail to the lake and he versed me in all the reasons why girls should not walk in such parks by themselves, even with a dog. We sat on the picnic table for a long time talking about some dog he played with and shared his lunch with and beavers and other stuff. It was cold so we headed back up and he tried out one of the fancy garbage cans. At home I asked what he thought about brownies (to go along with the ice cream he brought) and he asked if you could have one without the other. Verdict: No. So I donned my apron and got to work while he watched (performance anxiety!) and got the smoky mozzarella dip and bread out. And reduced fat Wheat Thins, yay! We talked and talked and talked forever in the kitchen. The most interesting part was the alcohol stuff and I feel like I finally know what's going on there and he knows I know. The brownies were almost done so we decided to start in on dinner and forgo plates in favor of just eating right out of the dish. Works for me! He made chicken marsala and it was soooo good! There were even little lemon slices and capers dressing the chicken plus some broccoli / asparagus hybrid vegetable that was tasty. I dipped the bread in the sauce because it was so good. We talked for a while longer in the kitchen then moved into the living room and sat on the couch talking forever and listening to music. I finally suggested dessert and we paired the warm brownies with the swiss chocolate almond ice cream and it was really really good. We continued talking and there were a couple times I thought he was going to go for it kiss-wise, but didn't. So we kept talking but knew the time had to come. Then it did. He leaned in and kissed me and I realized I've never kissed a guy with legitimate facial hair. I couldn't concentrate at first but finally got the hang of it. So we did that for a while and it was really cute. Especially when he giggled. It was almost 12:30 so he packed up his stuff and I walked him down and he said he would call me, kissed one more time then I got ready for bed and crashed.

Monday 4/21, I went to the store after work and picked up some groceries then home where I cleaned the kitchen and the rest of the house while snacking on lots of bread that Peggy left me. I started constructing a salad and Eric called (6:45, right on schedule) to discuss our respective days and plans for dinner the next night. He asked me what I had for lunch then guessed correctly the kind of Wheat Thins I prefer. I told him my steak-fire-in-the-oven story and he said that maybe he'd just bring steaks so I can set them on fire under the broiler, or perhaps cheesy dogs. So we talked for a while and I like that he likes to talk on the phone and always asks me interesting questions. After hanging up I ate my salad then more bread and a smoothie while watching Gossip Girl. I talked to Susan after it was over and we made fun of each other's shows. I showered before Bachelor started and am still bummed that dumb Shayne girl is on. She takes herself so seriously I can't stand it. Went to bed after that.
