Thursday 10/8, I took Castor on a walk and talked to Susan for a long time. Snacked at home and fed the dogs. Relaxed, watched tv, didn't complete any chores - big surprise. Eric had picked up a bunch of food so I had some roast chicken and raw carrots. I talked to Courtney for a long time about the new place, J&L and Thanksgiving. Eric arrived back from school by 8 and I took the opportunity to bring up my thoughts. We had a long talk about our relationship and our efforts to keep everything above board. I talked to Dad and Mama, watched Office, showered and went to bed around 11.
Wednesday 10/7, Home to drop off the dogs and shower. Eric was going downtown and fed the dogs for me. I headed out to happy hour with Kay-See at Palomino. She had a good table in the bar and we chatted and ate way too much, but it was a lot of fun and we had lots of girl talk. We left at 7 and at home I watched some shows, including my new fav Cougar Town. Eric came home late and I wanted to talk to him about the stuff plaguing my head about our relationship but didn't, despite him knowing and asking what I wanted to talk about. Didn't want to go into it yet. Went to sleep.
Tuesday 10/6, Went for a walk at the park; trying to do that as much as possible while the weather permits. At home I relaxed - a lot. Enjoyed having the house to myself. Made a quickie dinner then retired to my bedroom to watch BL. LPC wrote that he had to get a rabies shot and I may be called as witness if the owners take it to court, eek. Talked with Eric when he came to bed and to sleep.
Monday 10/5, Took Castor to the park for a quick walk then home and ate way too much garlic dip with pretzels but it was super good. I went to the homeowner's meeting and was only supposed to be there for 20 minutes and ended up staying for an hour and 20 minutes, oy. I went home then realized I didn't have anything for my damn lunch the next day and had to rush back out and go to the store. Arg. When I returned Castor was having an anxiety freak-out and I spent the next two hours trying to settle him down and eventually did. I was irritable though. I watched GG while brushing him and trying to get him to relax. Eric came up and we talked about night before and both apologized and made our points then fell asleep.
Sunday 10/4, I got up and Eric and I had agreed the prior night to go for a run with Castor, but Eric had forgotten and was making pancakes. I took Castor up for a 2-mile run which we ran the majority of. Home and time for pancakes. I did some chore-type activities and washed the sheets and texted Eric (RH) about the baby but never heard back. Phone may be turned off. Sos called about timing for Salmon Days and we confirmed S&C weren't coming and Hakim and Carmen weren't either. We planned to meet at 1 so we left home, stopped at the bank and drove around trying to find parking. It was a longer walk than the day before, but it was so beautiful out, the weather was perfect. We picked them up and out we went. I got a corndog and strawberry lemonade within about 2 minutes. Then stalls to peruse and food area and sat and talked and discussed J&L and how it doesn't seem to be going well, from the outside. Next I got corn on the cob then found a cute stand with baby stuff so I bought a little onesie for Court with a fun graphic (the woman's husband does all of them). We went to the far side and found a huge stage and no line for the curly fries so we got some and they were better than the rest of the stuff I had. We sat and watched the wannabe Bowie band and ate then walked toward the nudist colony booth, saw the salmon and walked back toward their house. Tried to see the salmon in their backyard but none were running while we were there. We walked back to the car and stopped at the pet store on the way home. No dinner just some cookies and I settled in to watch Forgetting Sarah Marshall because I was on an LPC kick. I think I watched youtube videos of Jason Segel as well. I have an affinity for him. At 8 I cleaned fridge and was irritated with Eric (and vice versa) for leaving moldy items in the fridge. I went upstairs and watched DH and Eric fell asleep before we talked about anything. To sleep.
Saturday 10/3, Got up at 7:30, showered, got ready, went to the new vet to get a 2nd opinion on Castor's mouth thing. Saw a dr by 8:20, Conrad - super hot (makes me consider changing vets) and he agreed with the other prognosis and confirmed I could wait until December if I needed to. He checked out the rest of him and said he looked ok but confirmed he needs to lose some weight, which I know now that he's inched back up to 89lbs. Gulp. Raced home, dropped him off and said bye to Eric. I texted LPC that I was on my way and would be there in 20. He responded with "Haha. Sure!" which I didn't know what it meant so I texted back "Hmm. Ok" and he clarified that he was getting out of bed and could do it, then another text saying he couldn't leave a pretty girl waiting at Geraldine's so he would hurry. I got there first and got our name on the list. He arrived and I still can't believe how tall he is. How do I always forget? And then I always tell him how I forgot since the last time. We got a nice table in the side section and he insisted I take the seat that looks outside. We talked about so much stuff, how does conversation flow so easily? It's like you can just fall back into things. Tattoos (goat specific) and offending my future Christian bf, Roman Polanski tattoo on his back (some features would been enhanced for effect), stuff that happens at Jack Nicholson’s house, face tattoos, Nick's terrible experience with Geraldine's, forgetting to refill coffee, breakfast missing toast, then the teeniest toast you've ever seen comes out and is very hard to boot. Murray's escape escapades, KUBE haunted house, Kay-See should play piano at Nordstrom and slick her hair back a la KD Lang and wear a tux, Good King Wenceslas on the Trombone (or sax) and Murray's howling, his ex (J) was a crazy carnie (didn't end well then, eh?), Frank's humping and dick-tip licking of other dogs at the dog park and his crusty bear from getting off all over it, facebook-poking and the meaning. Other stuff. Then a waiter fell on a chair and everyone in the place could feel the crash and LPC saw it, yikes. We cleared out of there after paying (they charged him for the whole thing then reversed it, hilarious) and went for a walk and then he stepped in dog shit THEN got bit by an angry terrier while the owner just stood there and watched. It was so hilarious, and awful all at once. I didn't know it bit him, just saw it biting his pant leg. Then he pulled up the leg on his pants and on the back of his thigh was a giant purple line where the tooth had drug itself down the back of his thigh. Ouch. We walked back toward Geraldine's then stood on the corner and talked forever about the lady in the Coach boots and how she met the old guy after meeting on the net, but at least he bought her those boots. Why was he wearing strangler's gloves? Then cars (his would have a ‘Free Tibet’ bumper sticker – only joking), how we're catches because we have blue eyes, how terrible of a morning it was for him - except for the company. He said he wanted to do this more often and that he doesn't get to see me enough. Just enough tension to keep things interesting and easy to be on good behavior. He thanked me for making him look at my back-to-school shirt one last time. We hugged and parted ways. I walked back to my car and stopped into a gallery to look for a second then back to my car. Home and called Eric, he was out bike riding. I hung with the dogs. I fell asleep on the couch while Eric watched the game. Apparently I was out for hours. We were going to check out Salmon Days but first I wanted to take Castor to the park. We did a quick two times around then home. We took off and got a good parking spot and walked down. I got a gyro and apple dumpling. We perused and the crowds weren't very bad at all, it was nice. We did that for an hour or so then headed home and fed the dogs. We were in for the night and I watched Aladdin and made Eric feel embarrassed when I sang "A Whole New World". I stopped the movie when Cops came on and we watched it together then I finished Aladdin after. We couldn't stay up for SNL, despite my nap. I'm old.
Friday 10/2, Wrote at length with LPC about back to school dream about him and how we're going to go out when we go back to school. Made plans for the next day. Went to Fred Meyer for my Rx, they called and didn't have it, then called back that they did. I think I took Castor for a walk up the hill and after I got back we went to Costco and picked up a few things and I got a chicken bake for dinner. Oof. Over to FM, picked up the Rx and home. I then watched Dr. Phil and wanted to stab myself in the eye for it. Then Oprah, but only half watched while I intently looked at something on the net (don't remember what). Went to bed earlyish, very tired.
Thursday 10/1, I had a dr appt at 5 so I left work at 4. Went downtown for my appt and everything is fine, phew. Athlete's foot-esque in nature. Eric got home early from his class and he watched tv with me in my room. I think I ate a bunch of cookies. Watched the Thursday night NBC lineup. Showered, went to bed.
Wednesday 9/30, After work Eric, Castor and I went for a walk up the hill. Before I arrived home Eric had done lots of house stuff for me and I was so grateful. We didn't know what to do for dinner so he made two dinners, and I had the salad dinner with chicken. Quantum of Solace arrived in the mail so I watched it up in my room and was disappointed by the complete lack of shirtless-ness. How did I not notice when I saw it in the theater? He's still hot, but come on. Not one shot? After that I watched Cougar Town, which I am still finding funny. Went to bed.
Tuesday 9/29, LPC and I texted throughout the day and planned for rain. We cancelled the walk due to rain (check). So we made one. Brunch on Saturday because his "diet is woefully Karrah-deficient". Flatterer. I took that opportunity to go to Mom's to get my computer. I sat and talked with them for a long time and it was kind of fun. I left at a quarter to 8 to watch BL. My computer was back working and faster than ever, yay! To bed after.
Monday 9/28, Eric was home when I arrived and already had the tater tot casserole in progress. Kay-See arrived by 5:30 or so and brought yummy Trader Joe's less fattening potato chips. We snacked and talked in the kitchen. Eventually moved to the living room and had the tv on in the background and talked. Dinner was served and K and I both had seconds. We were very full. We watched Jeopardy then K left at 8 and I went upstairs to watch GG. First DwtS was on and I watched until GG came on. To bed probably after that.
Sunday 9/27, We were both up early and had breakfast and let Brizo out and got ready for the Humane Society's 'Walk for the Animals' down at U Village. We hit the road and got there by 8:30 for check in. There were so many dogs and people everywhere. We stood around until 9:30 then the walk started and we dashed through it and checked out the stuff at the end but decided to head home with just a few samples. It felt good to help and raise money for a good cause that helps so many homeless and sick animals. Though, there are a lot of idiot dog owners out there, for the record. It was hard not to go around and point out things people were doing incorrectly. Eric and I just mumbled under our breath as Castor sat and waited like a perfect gentleman. Back at home I showered and he ran to the store for lunch supplies. I took a long nap and felt out of it. I had to go drop my computer off in Preston where Mom and Dad were watching Jake's game. I took Castor and we stayed for a while and walked around and talked to other dog owners and encouraged pet adoption and Castor was an excellent representative. At home I checked my mailbox and the two doggie coats I custom ordered from the woman in Atlanta arrived. One pink, one purple. I put one on her and she just tipped over, like a cat. Eric and I laughed and he had to catch her before she rolled off the couch. I'll probably order more, or some of the rattie jammies. Eric went with me to the store and probably made dinner then Desperate Housewives which I was behind on because apparently I missed the season finale last spring. Went to bed late.
Saturday 9/26, Eric woke me up a little before 8 to make sure we weren't going to be late for the cruise lunch. I eventually got up closer to 9. We both got ready and headed out by 10 for the cruise ship terminal off the Magnolia Bridge. We found it fine, parked, took the shuttle over and picked up Chip and Monique on the way. We had a blast with them. We boarded after checking in and headed up to the restaurant we would be dining in and then took a tour of the ship. The four of us stuck together and wandered around for an hour until it was time for lunch. I liked the Celebrity ship we were on better even though I thought Holland America had a better reputation. The cruise director guy was fabulous and loved our table. At lunch he chatted with us about gigolos and Chip kept clarifying that it was with two 'g's. He called me girlfriend and said he wanted to take a cruise with me. Sign me up! Lunch was good and multi-coursed. We had a great time chatting, though I felt bad for not talking with Sherri and Molly more. We stayed aboard until 2:15 then off and found our way out after meeting the captain courtesy of Chip, who managed to track him down. We rode back with Peggy and Christopher and he said Eric looked like Russell Crowe and I said I hate Russell Crowe and he was all "Really?" but I was joking. Back to the cars and home we went. Let the dogs out then we changed and I think I napped for a bit then took Castor for a walk, just the two of us. Eric was going out with Chris for a party and I had plans to go to Mom's for dinner so I headed over there at 6 with a stop at the store for lettuce. We had lamb and cucumber sauce with pitas and it was very good. Fresh fruit smoothies for dessert. We talked for a long time and I finally left like 8:30. Called Sos on the way home to see if she was going to be walking with us the next day, no answer. At home I watched tv and hung with the dogs and went to bed by 11:15, couldn't stay up for SNL; too tired. Eric came in around 1:30 and I was angry in my semi-sleep state.
Friday 9/25, Susan came over after work. She had a deep rooted desire for fried chicken of a questionable variety and talked me (very easily) into it. We went into Issaquah to a place that shall remain unnamed since we really didn't go there. There were some young skater types outside and I made googly eyes and Susan rolled hers. We ordered and sat down and talked about Peggy's news and Susan lost her appetite. We both finished our dinners and went to Safeway next for COOKIES! I bought three packages: Double Stuff Oreos, Famous Amos chocolate chip and some lemon ones. The checkout guy was weird and trying to be funny. Back at my house we sat on the couch and talked and watched tv and I was fascinated by the Mackenzie Oprah special. We looked at cats and dogs online and Susan stayed until 10 or so then took off to get Michael. I stayed up for a while and eventually went upstairs and went to sleep by 11:30. I was so out of it that I didn't even wake up when Eric got home at 11:45 from Schuyler’s bday party.
Thursday 9/24, Dad confirmed the house is not on market, but a CCBain mistake. I talked to Mom about Peggy and both vented the idiocy of it all. Took Castor for a mile walk up the hill and talked to Courtney and caught up with her living situation. They're moving and she's frustrated with her temp roommate. I went home and fed the dogs, made pasta and veggies for myself, went upstairs and stayed up there all night and watched lots of shows. Eric home from class a little after 8. Watched tv and talked, to bed after 10:30.
Wednesday 9/23, I changed my ticket for Thanksgiving to come a day and a half earlier and it was free! Yay for schedule changes! I called Dad and Mom and told them the news. I found a house online that I wanted to look at (mom had sent me a few months back) but Dad said it doesn't exist. After work Kay-See came over and we walked 1.5 miles at the park with Castor. We went home and ate dinner and talked in the kitchen. Eric came home from his first day of school and gave it a 10. We sat in the living room and talked until after 9 when K left. Eric and I went upstairs for bed. We watched Cougar Town and it was actually pretty funny.
