Monday 11/16, Took Castor and Brizo to the vet for nail trims and found out I can’t hurry up the surgery for Castor. Talked to Sos and Kay-See, who were both helping with the salad. At home I was feeling frazzled, I showered and found that Chuck Schwab didn’t do the letter correctly, so I had to call and request a new one and deal with that bs. Saw J&S pull up and went to meet them downstairs but they were fighting in the driveway and it was super awkward and ridiculous. Luckily he fell asleep in the back. We picked up Kay-See and all rode together. On the way I went to Mom’s to pick up the check. We made it to Hakim and Carmen’s about a half hour late, oops. Josh arrived just as we did and waited for us. We walked up and were all apologetic about slim salad fixins. Josh talked about his relationship and Lena, yikes, feel bad for him, and Kaya. Dinner was good, convo was fun. Hakim got out his hilarious remote control car. We had lots of fun and found out K is for sure going to Australia for Christmas and New Year’s, while S&J are going to Jamaica. We had delicious orange ice cream with chocolate bits for dessert. We left by 9 and I whispered to Hakim and K at the bottom of the driveway about the earlier fight. We dropped off K talking about relationships, talked the rest of the ride home. When I arrived the lights were out and hilariously, Eric was asleep. It was 9:30. I took the dogs out, updated this, watched the end of DWTS because I missed GG. Grr.

Sunday 11/15, Relaxed all morning then forgot I had to get gas so I took off and did that, talking to Kass on the way. Back home to shower and eat some lunch then dashed over to W. Seattle to meet up with the fam to look at houses. We saw 8 or 9 and saw Droohv and Akemi’s - so nice (except as of now, 11/21, it fell through). I loved it. There was nothing spectacular, which was kind of a bust, so we said our byes and I headed home, stopping at the store. Home by 3:30, upstairs, watched a couple episodes of OC (Season 1) and relaxed until DH came on. To bed after 10.

Saturday 11/14, Up earlyish and had a long talk with Eric about family and dynamic and it was very helpful, for both of us I think. I woke up AL at 10 because that’s when we were supposed to be over at the house and Dad called for us to get over there since the appraiser was already done and it was only 10:10. Kass called and we were going to get there around the same time, and in fact, did arrive at the same time. We walked though for a long time and everyone seems to like it and Sky wants me to keep the carpet and thinks it’s homey. Hilarious. AL thought Mom was crazy for wanting to demo the pool and couldn’t think of anything more fabulous. We went home and ate a little then headed up to the Fall City art show and saw Miska did a new painting of a coyote and it’s got this bright red and is all glossy and I really liked it but it would have to have just the right spot. Back home and relaxed for an hour then to the airport to drop off AL. Back home for an hour then to dog class. Brizo did ok considering it was chaos and lots of people. Cheri taught me how to get her to lay down and it’s genius. Cheri thought she wouldn’t get it while in that environment but she did it; she’s a survivor! We went home for a while then over to Mom’s for Dad’s birthday dinner. It was a fun dinner with lots of funny conversation and lots of good cheese. Dinner and dessert were good and the part of dinner where Sky couldn’t remember where they’d first said “I love you” to each other was, and guessed the couch and he was in the dog house after that. He was like “Karrah! Help me out!” which made me laugh harder, then I couldn’t remember where we were when Eric said it to me. I’m sure it’s documented here. We all said our goodbyes and we were given the task of dropping Jake off at a friend’s on 40th. Home to the dogs and couldn’t stay up even close to see SNL.

Friday 11/13, I woke up but didn’t take Castor on a walk like I had wanted because of the rain and instead took my time getting ready and headed to my eye appointment at 9. Eyes stayed the same and I was out of there and home to get ready for the funeral. I showered and got dressed then me and AL left for Mom’s with a stop at the store for apples. AL wanted to help clean and make sure everything was ready to go after the service. We were waiting on Kass and Skylar and ended up leaving late and getting to the cemetery JUST as we were supposed to be driving to the ceremony site. As soon as they wheeled her out I started crying, it was so awful. I was ok after that until they played Taps. Even one of the pall bearers was tearing up. The Native American prayer was so pretty and a great juxtaposition to the other military stuff. We were out of there and back to the house and Eric went to check on the dogs for me. I ate quite a bit because it was all so good and the sun was out which made it a pleasant afternoon. We went home by 6 or so and relaxed and talked about watching a movie but we were all so tired. I watched Ugly Betty then turned in.

Thursday 11/12, We watched the usual shows and I checked periodically on the flight info for both Alix and Auntie Lauryn. Planes landed by 9:34, I left and talked to Alix on the way there and picked her up at Alaska then we circled and AL called to say she was ready so we swung in and picked her up next. We drove to Mom’s and saw the memory board and chatted with Mom briefly before going back to my house. We talked for a long time in the second bedroom then made tea and back upstairs again to chat. Finally I had to turn in because it was like 1. Eric was asleep, of course, and all the puppies were snoozing away.

Wednesday 11/11, On our day off Eric was up at 6:00 of course and then I couldn't go back to sleep. He took Castor to the park and went to HD to pick up supplies and came back and put the knobs on while I relaxed on the couch while I finished my bridal magazine, but then when I went up to see the knobs they were in the wrong spots and I was disappointed and Eric was upset with my reaction and ended up taking off for a couple hours because he needed to get out of the house. I talked to Susan and told her I didn’t know what was going to be the plan for the day but I’d let her know. I took Nyx to the pet store to get some doggy treats and chatted with Leslie and everyone thought she was very cute and sweet. She loved the turkey jerky at the front and had quite a bit of it. At home Eric was back and we talked and everything was fine. We took off for Chrystol and Schuyler’s. We took off for Gorditos and I talked to the HOA Property Manager about the requirements for renting then walked around the corner to a floral shop where Chrystol and I quickly talked about the wedding then over to eat lunch. We had fun at lunch and laughed at some of the music. Lunch was good. We went back to theirs momentarily then to Goodwill to drop them off. We went up to Susan’s and hung out and met the kitty, Penelope (Eric’s name for Nyx). We went to the GO and I got a ton of cereal, of course, but also got some other stuff I didn’t need like microwave popcorn and fluorescent green Oreos. Yikes. But also Famous Amos pecan chocolate chip cookies, which were the ones Grandma always used to get. We said our goodbyes after checking out and headed home to the pups. I wanted to watch Cougartown but it wasn’t on, boo. I ate some cookies and we went to bed early.

Tuesday 11/10, Called Sos to make evening plans since we had no work the next day. I went home and relaxed and saw Eric before class. I had leftovers for dinner and Eric arrived home by 7:45. We went to DQ at 8:15 and met Sos and Jake and it was pouring and freezing out. We sat for a long time talking and I got brownie batter blizzard. At home I caught the end of BL and went to bed.

Monday 11/9, Eric made a yummy stroganoff for dinner after getting the doors hung and cutting the track and all that. It was a late dinner. I worked with the pups again and Nyx is still scared of the clicker. GG and updated this.

Sunday 11/8, Eric left by 10 to go to Schuyler’s for the day to watch football. I had a hard time finding motivation but took some boxes down and cleaned the bathroom downstairs, trimmed Nyx's hair, relaxed, called Sos for a walk but didn’t get an answer. I eventually took Castor for a walk just the two of us. Eric came home late afternoon and made me a another quesadilla, we watched some shows, practiced tricks with the dogs. Nyx is afraid of the clicker but Brizo loves that she gets treats when it comes out. Chrystol called and gave me news of their engagement and literally squealed in delight and made all the dogs start barking. Fun! All that talk of diamonds was fate or something. Eric and I talked about it that evening. Watched shows and went to bed.

Saturday 11/7, Eric was up early and I wasn’t far behind. We got dressed and hit the road to N. Seattle to pick up the closet doors and luckily saved $100. It was a little difficult to get the doors into Eric’s car but the guys figured it out and off we went. It was pouring by the time we got to Home Depot so Eric dropped me at the front. I went and got paint and he got the piece of wood for the closet. We were out of there and went home. Started putting the door stuff together but hit a road block so Eric made me a delicious quesadilla, like the best I’ve ever had. Mmm, now I want one for lunch. After lunch we both continued working on things in preparation of the appraisal. I think Eric made dinner and we relaxed in the evening and went to bed early.

Friday 11/6, Good news and bad news re: the loan. Ughh. Approved, however, more hoops to jump through and money to pay. I'm going to go broke paying for appraisals! I was in a bad mood by the time I was on the road to go home and wanted to just go to sleep. Eric had made plans to go to C&S' for dinner even though I wanted to just stay home until it was time to go to Justin's party. Eric was in a good mood and told me to just go upstairs and relax and not worry about the dogs. He made me a quesadilla and left me alone for a half hour or so then we talked and I told him my frustrations. Felt discouraged. We started getting ready and headed out by 7. I was feeling better. We stopped by Chrystol's school to pick her up and talked about my loan situation and diamonds, ironically. Eric helped Schuyler make dinner (pizzas!) and Chrystol and I talked finances and vacations and free loading bfs. A whole different world. We ate and talked and then Schuyler served the delicious lemon sherbert again, yum! Around 10 went to the practice space in Ballard and there weren't as many people as I thought there would be, but Sam and Justin at least. I was hoping for a CM sighting, no luck. We listened to some brothers play and talked with Sam then found a stool and watched Justin play a couple then decided to head out because we were tired. Dropped Chrystol at home and went home and to bed. It was 1.

Thursday 11/5, Everything finally in and now just waiting for approval. Eric was home when I arrived and we chatted on the couch until he left for class. I had leftovers and watched tv. Did laundry and Eric arrived home. We watched the Thursday night line up and eventually meandered upstairs.

Wednesday 11/4, Dad and Mom collectively got Jenifer the PSA finally so that was at least done. Sos called and we chatted but then Mom showed up unannounced so we talked for a while as Eric whipped up some homemade fish and chips. Delish! The house reeked! Sooo good, and Mom complemented Eric for knowing to put baking soda in the batter on his first time making F&C. I ate too many fries. After she left I started making phone calls: Alan, Dad, Jenifer, Mom, Dad again, Jenifer again, etc. Couldn't get off phone for an hour and a half and Mom helped me get the commission letter submitted to Melissa. Finally off the phone in time for Cougar Town.

Tuesday 11/3, I don’t remember the details but it was a frazzle day. Jenifer had one thing after another for me to take care of for the loan. I was trying to get as much of it as possible to her and sending and resending things. I’m sure I was on the phone for a while in the evening and probably watched BL.

Monday 11/2, I rushed home and dropped Castor and picked up some financial stuff and rushed to Carillon Point. Dealt with mortgage stuff until almost 8 and the situation is dicey and not great, ughhh. Eric made me a pizza and I talked to Dad. He's fine, I'm stressed and frazzled. Work, mortgage, Grandma, exhausted. Watched GG while writing motivational letter and praying it works to get approval. I went to bed after sending the letter to Jenifer after 11. Eric fell asleep first.

Sunday 11/1, We took the dogs up the hill for a walk. At home I got ready and ate a half sandwich then over to Kay-See's for delicious chili and gossip. We started baking the yummy oatmeal raisin / chocolate chip cookies. They were very good. We talked for a long time then I headed home and stopped at Mom's to sign the counter offer (yay!) and talked with Mom about plans and numbers. I've got my fingers crossed. I stopped at the store then home. I touched up some putty spots and tackled some laundry then relaxed. We watched AFV then DH and to bed.

Saturday 10/31, We were both up early painting and cleaning and knocking things out. I made an appt for Nyx to go to the vet for anal glands and nail trim, but first Eric and me took a shower and got busy and in record time I was dressed and out the door. After I got back we drove out to N. Seattle to get closet doors ordered from the Door Store, which I fell in love with and want to marry. I spent too much, considering they're just f-ing closet doors. We drove home and I was sleepy and wanted to take a nap but Eric insisted on running errands and taking Castor to the park so I couldn't. We went to the pet store for food and got some decent sized sample bags from the Now rep, yay, free expensive dog food! We swung into Home Depot for more paint then to Marymoor and ran Castor around and he was naughty and went straight for the water. Twice. Ugh. Bad listening day. Oh well. He had fun I guess. We took him to the dog wash place right across the parking lot and it was pretty easy and convenient. They must make a shit load. We went home and I fell asleep on the couch. C&S called to invite us down to Fremont for the costume parade so we ate dinner, got ready and took off. We left their place, with them costumed, us not so much. Joined the parade and it was crazy. Some hilarious and creative costumes but it was rather anti-climactic because the PA sucked and the high school drama club theatrics were less than impressive. We walked to PCC and got a delicious snickerdoodle which was more than impressive. Back to theirs and realized it was only 8:30. We talked there until 11:30. Strippers, finances, grocery bills, etc. We drove home and SNL was a repeat. I fell asleep almost instantly.

Friday 10/30, I got to wake up late because Eric had the day off and was taking the dogs for the day. He brought me breakfast in bed: omelet, potatoes and jammed toast. He came and had lunch with me and we watched Project Runway and he couldn't believe what he was seeing. He didn't even know the premise, which is hilarious. Then we watched House Hunters and he got mad at the tv because the people were so idiotic. I got off a little early, went home and picked up Eric then we went over to the house where the inspection was in process. Frank went over everything, a lot of stuff to do, but nothing huge or scary or so terrible it will cost me a year's salary. Mostly good news. This excludes the pool, of course. After he was done with me I wandered for a minute and tried to take it in again; I discover new things each time I go. Eric, Mom and me talked about ideas and she wants to put a slider in the master and put a private garden outside, which I love the idea of. Headed to Outback with a frantic message from P about C's test. I couldn't deal so I left it. We had dinner and discussed the house some more, Grandma, P and C then Grandma out in the parking lot again and some of her funny moments. Wanting her chocolate cake with flour, how she wouldn't have picked a particular dish, etc. We went home and I watched Ugly Betty, then we did it. It's been a while. Sleep after.

Thursday 10/29, I didn't sleep well. Thinking about Grandma and the house. I took Peggy to the airport in the morning from W. Seattle then stopped at home to let the dogs out and left them there for the day. Got to work much later than normal. Eric called me and told me everything would be ok and that things with Grandma aren't linked to the house and to separate the two and keep my head up. I was going to text Auntie Lauryn for her birthday and tell her I hoped things were getting better but didn't want to wake her up; two hour time difference. At lunch Mom called to say Grandma died at 1:15. I cried. Kassie beeped in, we cried together on the phone and talked about how we didn't know it was that bad and that she was fine that morning and then, gone. I was back in the office and talking to Eric and crying and he told me to go home but I knew Peggy wouldn't want me to, then she called and had just landed in Vegas. I answered the phone crying and she didn't say anything except to go home and then told me again. I cried on the way home. I cried when I got home. I cleaned up the pee pad Brizo chewed up then crawled into bed. Castor and Nyx could sense my mood but Brizo was delightfully oblivious. I talked to Mom for a long time on the phone and we talked about Grandma but also about the house and other things and laughed a little. I called Dad a little later and cried when I told him. He told me it would all be ok and about the first time he met Grandma. I put on Love Actually and laughed at a lot of the funny parts I forgot about. Eric came home and told me he was skipping school and I told him not to and that I would be ok. He disagreed and made me dinner in bed and watched the end of the movie with me. I watched some shows and eventually talked to AL for a minute then she had to go. By the time she called back I was too tired and in bed for sleep. I was exhausted.

Wednesday 10/28, I took Castor to the park for a walk. We went to Home Depot and got closet doors and paint for the rock wall. I need to start getting the house together and prepare to rent. We had a good time and Eric told me all about doors and his mirrored closet ones as a kid. I needed to go Mom’s to sign papers and to vacuum my car. I got the confirmation letter that it's mine to go after and went home late and had dinner late. Eric made stir fry and it was really good. We watched Cougar Town and I talked to AL and Grandma, little did I know it would be the last time.

Tuesday 10/27, I called to wish Dad a happy birthday and they were in Arizona. I told Mom the news about the house. BL and can’t remember what else. Oh well, need to keep better track.

Monday 10/26, I found out that the other people backed out I’ve got a shot at the house. Good news but also kind of frantic. I bought the Beatles painting off etsy and figured it would be the last thing non-house related for a while. I can’t remember what else, but probably watched GG and maybe talked to Susan.

Monday, November 09, 2009

Sunday 10/25, I slept in and ate cereal in bed while Eric took Castor to the park again. Kay-See texted me to ask if we were still meeting so I got up and ready and headed over. It was girls’ day. We picked up Mandy in Greenlake and went to Taco Bell but they didn’t have mexi nuggets, what?? I was disappointed but glad I didn’t eat more than necessary. We went to Northgate afterward and hit Ulta first and I behaved myself. Next up was Victoria Secret and continued behaving but managed to mess up my free perfume sampler. Eventually we went to Baskin Robbins and got some ice cream. We took off and dropped Mandy then went back to K’s, showed her the house and she wants to have a 70s murder mystery party or house warming party (you get gifts for that right??). I took off by 4, went home and had leftovers for dinner, wanted to watch the OC but it wasn’t there, same with Tudors, and after some sleuthing found out apparently Kay-See has them. Probably watched the usual shows and went to bed.

Saturday 10/24, I wanted to take Castor to the park but Eric drove so we went to Marymoor because that’s where he wanted to go. Castor LOVED it and was running around all over the place. He was pretty good and was good with his recall and not too in other dogs’ faces. There were some hilarious dogs there. We left after 45 minutes or so and drove thru Redmond trying to find bakeries and / or donut shops. No luck and I suggest Westernco so we drove up there and figured out Eric’s glasses at the same time and got donuts. I got two, a buttermilk and old fashioned glaze – yum! We went home and I showered and got ready and off we went to the Seattle Home Show and got a great parking spot. We wandered around and I got lots of ideas and saw some of the most beautiful green onyx I’ve ever seen and took a brochure. We talked about forms of income. I kept busting Eric’s balls and correcting people when they’d call Eric my husband and told him it made me seem like the shrew, not him. Stopped at Mom’s on the way home to take care of house stuff and stuck around for a while waiting for Dad and chatting; Dad not very optimistic about house. We went home and I made lunch for myself while Eric went to Target to check out glasses. I hung with the dogs on the couch and relaxed. Eric made roast chicken and stuffing for dinner and it was very good and the chicken took like two hours to bake. We watched Cops and I can’t remember what else, but it was relaxing. We couldn’t stay up for SNL and both fell asleep.

Friday 10/23, I got off work late and Mom had wanted me to come over for dinner and I also had to sign the back up offer acceptance and closing company request and write the check for the earnest money, but then Sos called and wanted to go to the veggie Indian place but I so didn’t want to. Jake called Eric and he told them we would go, but that we were going to take the dogs for a walk first. I hadn’t wanted to do that and go to breakfast the next morning so we agreed to just do dinner and Eric would make breakfast the next morning rather than go out. So when I got home we took the dogs to Robinswood and let them run around in the small corral and they all had fun especially when Frank, the stocky rat terrier, showed up. We stayed there for 20-30 minutes then headed home and fed the dogs. We called J&S and headed up to Crossroads and went to the bank then the vision place and found a couple pairs of glasses for Eric then over to the restaurant. We chatted until they showed up and when they did we had a good time talking about our weeks and the menu and Nyx. Dinner was good and I liked my dish (something spinach with cheese) better than the last time. We had a lot of fun and afterward we went to Silver Platters and Sos told me an itchy secret on the way and we both laughed. We looked at movies and then Eric picked up an ishy hairy porn and turned it over and Sos and I “eww”-ed in disgust. Sos and I talked about the house on the way out and over to Petco, where they apparently carry quite a few organic / grain-free brands which really impressed me. Walked back to our cars and off we went home, with a drive by of the donut place – closed. At home I put on music and we did stuff that felt good and then fell asleep while talking to each other. Woke up and turned off cd player.

Thursday 10/22, I took Nyx and Castor for a walk and Nyx LOVES being outside and walking. One time around then home for dinner. I vacuumed, cleaned the kitchen, watched tv, went to PetSmart and talked to Dad about the house and my offer and pros and cons of this house vs the other house. We chatted about Nyx then hung up and went in and got supplies. Eric was home and we played with the dogs then we cleaned up pee. Oy. I went upstairs to watch tv and got ready for bed and watched Office. I showered, took dogs out and got everybody in bed. Nyx seemed to like her new bed. I looked at art online after Eric went to sleep then I fell asleep watching Seinfeld by 10:45.

Wednesday 10/21, Susan came over and hung out until 7 and I had talked to Kass earlier in the day about getting together for dinner. After Susan left I took off about 20 minutes later for Mom's to sign backup docs for the house. I did all that then talked to Kass who gave me the address for Joule. I got there first and got the table. Kate came in and said a van hit Kassie’s door as she was getting out and I didn’t believe her. She showed me out the window. Yikes. Matthew, Sunshine and Daniel were there too and I haven’t seen him forever. Apparently him and Mercy moved back from NY and are expecting baby #2. We had funny convo and really great food. The boys discussed masturbating in the car to stay awake, but Daniel and Kass disagreed with Matthew on the “to release” or “not to release” debate. Matthew pretended he doesn’t so he wouldn’t look weird. There was a mixup with the cornbread which Kassie overreacted about and I told her to get over it. We were there until 11 and I was home by 11:30. The dogs were excited and I tried to calm them to minimize the noise for Eric.

Tuesday 10/20, Talked to Dad on the way to work then ran an errand for work and could spend lunch at home with the pups. Eric was sick and not feeling good. Kay-See was supposed to come over but she cancelled. Talked to Kassie earlier in the day and she told me she was in town and might come over later. 10 minutes after K ditched Kassie and Mom came over. They met the puppy and loved her. We talked about the house. After they left I had leftovers then called dad and told him I wanted to put in an offer. He’s not excited or motivated and kind of dragging the feet. I then talked to Dad and then Jenifer about options and putting in an offer. Is it a good idea? Not sure. Half watched BL and eventually caught the end when I was done with all the phone calls. We played the sex cards and Eric made me laugh with the Mississippi Stroke out and how it goes North / South. Eric fell asleep and went to bed.

Monday 10/19, Eric beat me home and when I got there Nyx was on the bed. She was feeling very shy at first then happy. I took Castor for a walk and Eric cleaned a lot then made Chinese style dinner. I talked to Mom and was frustrated with the house situation because Dad wasn’t all over it. I emailed back and forth with Dad. Watched GG and went to bed.

Sunday 10/18, Schuyler and Chrystol were scheduled to come over, so Eric was busy cooking and I did some cleaning and bonding with the dog. They came over for the game and I fell asleep on the couch because I was tired. It wasn’t the most thrilling of visits, mostly because I was tired and cold. After they left we took Castor for a walk. In the evening we watched Mr. Deeds and Nyx got more affectionate as the day went on.

Saturday 10/17, Woke up at 6:30 and Eric was missing; I tried to go back to sleep but couldn’t. Got up at 7:15 and took Castor up for a walk but only went a mile because of heavy rain. Went home and had breakfast and a bit of cleaning and brushed Castor. I showered, dressed and Dad said the house had two offers on it, not great news. We drove to North Bend and found the meeting spot for Orange. We had some time so went to the natural food store for shampoo. The lady was a bit of a nutter and gave us some information. Eric went next door and got me a sticky bun from the bakery. We went back to meet Orange and she was very cute, sniffed me, met the pups and that went well especially since Brizo wanted to play. Julia and her daughters were so nice, it was so sad to see them let go (they’ve had her for 6 months). She was so nervous but I held her on my lap and tried to reassure her. We stopped at the store then home to let her sniff around and relax. Eric made blts for lunch and the pup stayed on the couch next to me, making herself comfortable. I talked to Mom and called Grandma then put on Walk the Line, but didn’t watch the whole thing. We went to Goodwill so I could get some dog towels and drop off some stuff. I talked to Jenifer and Dad a ton about financing and loans and setups and if it goes through I’ll have options, but it’s more complicated. We wandered the Asian market for a while then home where I finished my movie. Big storms outside and I don’t remember what else.

Friday 10/16, After work we went to see the house again but brought Eric and Mom and Mom wanted me to put in an offer that night. It was pouring outside and we walked the yard and talked about ideas, but I had to talk to Dad about it all. We went to the store and picked up stuff for dinner. At home I called to talk to Dad but he’s in Asia so I talked to Mom for a bit and told her about it. I texted and called Dad next then we headed to a movie. We saw Couples Counseling and it had funny parts, but we had to sit very close. I texted Dad back on the way out then he called and I talked to him for a while on the drive home. Looked at art online for a long time, bed by 1.

Thursday 10/15, The rescue called while I was at work and I am approved and will get Orange on Saturday. I went to the park with Castor then went to see a house with Dad and it has lots of potential but lots of work. Great price, not sure. Home and talked to Eric, ate dinner, got in argument over Brizo, made up, talked about new dog and potential names (he wants Penelope), watched the Thursday shows. Went to bed.

Wednesday 10/14, The rescue told me my application was approved and they needed pictures next. Eric left me a sweet note saying he’d clean house when he got home. I helped him a little, but had to take pictures and send them off. I took off at 6 for my haircut with Sean. Parking was a bitch and made me late. Sean and I talked about relationships, kids, dogs, Kass and kmud and the time he shot the conditioner onto my head and apparently he tried it again with someone but it hit them in the face. Hilarious. That took over an hour and no bangs and kept it long because Sean thinks it’s “hot”. That’s the point I suppose. Drove home, made a quick dinner and waited for Eric to get out of the shower. I watched some shows and updated this a bit then Cougar Town. To bed.

Tuesday 10/13, Had renewal meeting and when I got back to the office where the power was out so I stuck around over an hour then left. Went home and ate lunch, watched tv then put on Back to the Future III then P called and said it was back on and she wanted me to come back in. Arg. Back to work then home again and took the dogs up to the park for a walk because they were so wound up. I finished the movie and ate dinner then Eric got home and I watched tv upstairs (BL). Filled out application then we hung in bed and went to sleep.

Monday 10/12, Eric surprised me and wanted to go see a movie but I had to go to the Rack and get a belt. Eric made the most delicious mac and cheese ever. OMG. I ate so much I felt sick. After, I went down and got a belt and tried on a bunch of shoes but didn’t buy. I asked Mom if she’d come see the dogs the next day. Heard back from the rescue and had questions answered, asked to fill out application. Watched my show then went to bed.

Sunday 10/11, Woke up around 7:30 then back to sleep, then 8:30 and fell back asleep and finally 9:30 after Sos called and woke me up during a dream of Court having an affair with Andy. We got up and packed and put the dogs in the car, which had ice on it btw, and off to the Hardware Store for breakfast and coffee. No pastries, boo, I was very hungry. We got going and finally made it to Sultan and stopped at the bakery there and it was absolutely delicious. Oh boy, they were good and the selection was magnificent. We stopped at the store in Monroe then home. Groceries away and time to relax. I think we hung out for most the day and relaxed and I wrote the rescue about Orange. I took Castor for a mile and a halfer and it was much warmer here than over the mountains. Dad called and I filled him in on our weekend. Watched some shows while looking at stuff online then to bed.

Saturday 10/10, I got up at 8:30 despite being awake since Eric got up, which was 7:30. We ate breakfast and got ready and I looked one more time at Orange and programmed the rescue’s phone number in and we took off for Plain. We didn’t make great time because there was a surprising amount of traffic on the road. Deb and Don were there when we arrived and it was sooo cold. The dogs went to the bathroom and then we did a little playing and they took their pups on a walk. I turned my back for a minute and the next thing I know I see Castor go up and over the bank and into the river. Oy. I ran down and he was having a gay old time in there, so I threw a few sticks then he shook off and nailed Brizo and me a little. Eric dried him off and we got the dogs settled then took off for Leavenworth. We saw D&D and they told us they were leaving. Town was packed but we found decent parking and headed toward the center, passing some goats. We were on the hunt for food and settled on Mozart’s Café, which I’d never been to. We had to wait a while but eventually got a good seat and had a good lunch (Jaeger Schnitzel for me). Back on our walk around town and stopped in a million shops and got a hot chocolate and a new little monster toy for the pups, mostly Brizo. They’d have to share until we got home since I didn’t pack any. We went to Safeway for stuff for dinner then headed back and relaxed for the night. We watched Overboard and moved the mattress closer to the tv. It was so cold and Brizo wouldn’t pee outside but Eric finally got her to. F-ing freezing. Went to bed kind of early because we had nothing else to do.

Friday 10/9, I had to stay 15 minutes late and I was superbly irritated. I intended to take Castor for a walk but didn’t because I was in a bad mood and we were leaving to go to Chrystol and Schuyler’s. Eric made a crazy curry from scratch and after we showered we took off with food in tow. I was still not in a great mood but got over it shortly after arriving. Dinner was really good and there was lots of chatter. Schuyler made biscotti and the most delicious lemon ice cream ever, omg. We left to go up to the Shanty around 9:30. Michael Sp*ley was on when we arrived so we sat and talked to Justin. Harborrats went on and it was very entertaining and some older guy was in love with them and kept asking me questions about them and if my bf was in the band. Sam had a footloose moment when he skidded across the floor on his knees, but he didn’t go too far. They played a long set and they sounded good, then I was definitely ready to go home, but we stayed for Creeping Time. I thought the cowboy banjo player was cute and debated with Eric and Chrystol whether or not he was a “real” cowboy or not and found out during the set (when he sang a song) that he was indeed a real cowboy. I really enjoyed their set, even though that old guy came back again and wanted to play 20 questions. Schuyler and Sam both got me out on the dance floor even though I have two left feet and felt like a fool. All in good fun though. We eventually left there after saying goodbyes and it was like 1:45, dropped C&S and headed home. Let the dogs out and got ready for bed and watched tv until it was almost 3. Yawn.
