Tuesday 11/10, Called Sos to make evening plans since we had no work the next day. I went home and relaxed and saw Eric before class. I had leftovers for dinner and Eric arrived home by 7:45. We went to DQ at 8:15 and met Sos and Jake and it was pouring and freezing out. We sat for a long time talking and I got brownie batter blizzard. At home I caught the end of BL and went to bed.

Monday 11/9, Eric made a yummy stroganoff for dinner after getting the doors hung and cutting the track and all that. It was a late dinner. I worked with the pups again and Nyx is still scared of the clicker. GG and updated this.

Sunday 11/8, Eric left by 10 to go to Schuyler’s for the day to watch football. I had a hard time finding motivation but took some boxes down and cleaned the bathroom downstairs, trimmed Nyx's hair, relaxed, called Sos for a walk but didn’t get an answer. I eventually took Castor for a walk just the two of us. Eric came home late afternoon and made me a another quesadilla, we watched some shows, practiced tricks with the dogs. Nyx is afraid of the clicker but Brizo loves that she gets treats when it comes out. Chrystol called and gave me news of their engagement and literally squealed in delight and made all the dogs start barking. Fun! All that talk of diamonds was fate or something. Eric and I talked about it that evening. Watched shows and went to bed.

Saturday 11/7, Eric was up early and I wasn’t far behind. We got dressed and hit the road to N. Seattle to pick up the closet doors and luckily saved $100. It was a little difficult to get the doors into Eric’s car but the guys figured it out and off we went. It was pouring by the time we got to Home Depot so Eric dropped me at the front. I went and got paint and he got the piece of wood for the closet. We were out of there and went home. Started putting the door stuff together but hit a road block so Eric made me a delicious quesadilla, like the best I’ve ever had. Mmm, now I want one for lunch. After lunch we both continued working on things in preparation of the appraisal. I think Eric made dinner and we relaxed in the evening and went to bed early.

Friday 11/6, Good news and bad news re: the loan. Ughh. Approved, however, more hoops to jump through and money to pay. I'm going to go broke paying for appraisals! I was in a bad mood by the time I was on the road to go home and wanted to just go to sleep. Eric had made plans to go to C&S' for dinner even though I wanted to just stay home until it was time to go to Justin's party. Eric was in a good mood and told me to just go upstairs and relax and not worry about the dogs. He made me a quesadilla and left me alone for a half hour or so then we talked and I told him my frustrations. Felt discouraged. We started getting ready and headed out by 7. I was feeling better. We stopped by Chrystol's school to pick her up and talked about my loan situation and diamonds, ironically. Eric helped Schuyler make dinner (pizzas!) and Chrystol and I talked finances and vacations and free loading bfs. A whole different world. We ate and talked and then Schuyler served the delicious lemon sherbert again, yum! Around 10 went to the practice space in Ballard and there weren't as many people as I thought there would be, but Sam and Justin at least. I was hoping for a CM sighting, no luck. We listened to some brothers play and talked with Sam then found a stool and watched Justin play a couple then decided to head out because we were tired. Dropped Chrystol at home and went home and to bed. It was 1.

Thursday 11/5, Everything finally in and now just waiting for approval. Eric was home when I arrived and we chatted on the couch until he left for class. I had leftovers and watched tv. Did laundry and Eric arrived home. We watched the Thursday night line up and eventually meandered upstairs.

Wednesday 11/4, Dad and Mom collectively got Jenifer the PSA finally so that was at least done. Sos called and we chatted but then Mom showed up unannounced so we talked for a while as Eric whipped up some homemade fish and chips. Delish! The house reeked! Sooo good, and Mom complemented Eric for knowing to put baking soda in the batter on his first time making F&C. I ate too many fries. After she left I started making phone calls: Alan, Dad, Jenifer, Mom, Dad again, Jenifer again, etc. Couldn't get off phone for an hour and a half and Mom helped me get the commission letter submitted to Melissa. Finally off the phone in time for Cougar Town.

Tuesday 11/3, I don’t remember the details but it was a frazzle day. Jenifer had one thing after another for me to take care of for the loan. I was trying to get as much of it as possible to her and sending and resending things. I’m sure I was on the phone for a while in the evening and probably watched BL.

Monday 11/2, I rushed home and dropped Castor and picked up some financial stuff and rushed to Carillon Point. Dealt with mortgage stuff until almost 8 and the situation is dicey and not great, ughhh. Eric made me a pizza and I talked to Dad. He's fine, I'm stressed and frazzled. Work, mortgage, Grandma, exhausted. Watched GG while writing motivational letter and praying it works to get approval. I went to bed after sending the letter to Jenifer after 11. Eric fell asleep first.

Sunday 11/1, We took the dogs up the hill for a walk. At home I got ready and ate a half sandwich then over to Kay-See's for delicious chili and gossip. We started baking the yummy oatmeal raisin / chocolate chip cookies. They were very good. We talked for a long time then I headed home and stopped at Mom's to sign the counter offer (yay!) and talked with Mom about plans and numbers. I've got my fingers crossed. I stopped at the store then home. I touched up some putty spots and tackled some laundry then relaxed. We watched AFV then DH and to bed.

Saturday 10/31, We were both up early painting and cleaning and knocking things out. I made an appt for Nyx to go to the vet for anal glands and nail trim, but first Eric and me took a shower and got busy and in record time I was dressed and out the door. After I got back we drove out to N. Seattle to get closet doors ordered from the Door Store, which I fell in love with and want to marry. I spent too much, considering they're just f-ing closet doors. We drove home and I was sleepy and wanted to take a nap but Eric insisted on running errands and taking Castor to the park so I couldn't. We went to the pet store for food and got some decent sized sample bags from the Now rep, yay, free expensive dog food! We swung into Home Depot for more paint then to Marymoor and ran Castor around and he was naughty and went straight for the water. Twice. Ugh. Bad listening day. Oh well. He had fun I guess. We took him to the dog wash place right across the parking lot and it was pretty easy and convenient. They must make a shit load. We went home and I fell asleep on the couch. C&S called to invite us down to Fremont for the costume parade so we ate dinner, got ready and took off. We left their place, with them costumed, us not so much. Joined the parade and it was crazy. Some hilarious and creative costumes but it was rather anti-climactic because the PA sucked and the high school drama club theatrics were less than impressive. We walked to PCC and got a delicious snickerdoodle which was more than impressive. Back to theirs and realized it was only 8:30. We talked there until 11:30. Strippers, finances, grocery bills, etc. We drove home and SNL was a repeat. I fell asleep almost instantly.

Friday 10/30, I got to wake up late because Eric had the day off and was taking the dogs for the day. He brought me breakfast in bed: omelet, potatoes and jammed toast. He came and had lunch with me and we watched Project Runway and he couldn't believe what he was seeing. He didn't even know the premise, which is hilarious. Then we watched House Hunters and he got mad at the tv because the people were so idiotic. I got off a little early, went home and picked up Eric then we went over to the house where the inspection was in process. Frank went over everything, a lot of stuff to do, but nothing huge or scary or so terrible it will cost me a year's salary. Mostly good news. This excludes the pool, of course. After he was done with me I wandered for a minute and tried to take it in again; I discover new things each time I go. Eric, Mom and me talked about ideas and she wants to put a slider in the master and put a private garden outside, which I love the idea of. Headed to Outback with a frantic message from P about C's test. I couldn't deal so I left it. We had dinner and discussed the house some more, Grandma, P and C then Grandma out in the parking lot again and some of her funny moments. Wanting her chocolate cake with flour, how she wouldn't have picked a particular dish, etc. We went home and I watched Ugly Betty, then we did it. It's been a while. Sleep after.

Thursday 10/29, I didn't sleep well. Thinking about Grandma and the house. I took Peggy to the airport in the morning from W. Seattle then stopped at home to let the dogs out and left them there for the day. Got to work much later than normal. Eric called me and told me everything would be ok and that things with Grandma aren't linked to the house and to separate the two and keep my head up. I was going to text Auntie Lauryn for her birthday and tell her I hoped things were getting better but didn't want to wake her up; two hour time difference. At lunch Mom called to say Grandma died at 1:15. I cried. Kassie beeped in, we cried together on the phone and talked about how we didn't know it was that bad and that she was fine that morning and then, gone. I was back in the office and talking to Eric and crying and he told me to go home but I knew Peggy wouldn't want me to, then she called and had just landed in Vegas. I answered the phone crying and she didn't say anything except to go home and then told me again. I cried on the way home. I cried when I got home. I cleaned up the pee pad Brizo chewed up then crawled into bed. Castor and Nyx could sense my mood but Brizo was delightfully oblivious. I talked to Mom for a long time on the phone and we talked about Grandma but also about the house and other things and laughed a little. I called Dad a little later and cried when I told him. He told me it would all be ok and about the first time he met Grandma. I put on Love Actually and laughed at a lot of the funny parts I forgot about. Eric came home and told me he was skipping school and I told him not to and that I would be ok. He disagreed and made me dinner in bed and watched the end of the movie with me. I watched some shows and eventually talked to AL for a minute then she had to go. By the time she called back I was too tired and in bed for sleep. I was exhausted.

Wednesday 10/28, I took Castor to the park for a walk. We went to Home Depot and got closet doors and paint for the rock wall. I need to start getting the house together and prepare to rent. We had a good time and Eric told me all about doors and his mirrored closet ones as a kid. I needed to go Mom’s to sign papers and to vacuum my car. I got the confirmation letter that it's mine to go after and went home late and had dinner late. Eric made stir fry and it was really good. We watched Cougar Town and I talked to AL and Grandma, little did I know it would be the last time.

Tuesday 10/27, I called to wish Dad a happy birthday and they were in Arizona. I told Mom the news about the house. BL and can’t remember what else. Oh well, need to keep better track.

Monday 10/26, I found out that the other people backed out I’ve got a shot at the house. Good news but also kind of frantic. I bought the Beatles painting off etsy and figured it would be the last thing non-house related for a while. I can’t remember what else, but probably watched GG and maybe talked to Susan.
