Saturday 1/16, We were up by 8, ready and out the door to Grease Monkey for my oil change. Stopped at Schucks to get a headlight then Albertsons for donuts which were terrible. I unloaded a few boxes and Eric cleaned out all the gutters. He took 10 gallons of muck out. I called Sos to see if she wanted to come over for thank you pizza at 1. RH Eric called and we talked about the baby and what we’re both doing. Told him I’d probably be having a house warming party in February and that he should come. Moved the hope chest into my closet, moved the filing cabinet to my bed side table, moved my dresser into the closet. Looks way better. Went and picked up the pizza and texted Kristel to see if she wanted to come over too. Kass called to tell me they’re giving three of the dogs away, but they’re still not sure. We’ll see. S&J showed up and lunch was ready so we sat down and ate and talked. We sat in the living room for a bit and talked until Kristel arrived. We talked and gossiped and talked about fantasies and dreams about exes. S&J wanted to go down to Tukwila to go to the Macy’s furniture clearance store so we took off with a stop at DQ for a blizzard for me and K. Off we went and found it no problem. Found a chair I loved then across the street to the regular one and found lots of stuff we loved, especially a gigantic reclining chair. Also found a lot of appropriate furniture for our Caribbean house. Wrapped it up and home we went. J&S took off and K came in to hang out. I wanted mac and cheese so K and I went to QFC to pick up supplies and also a few other items (found my goat soap!). Back home and Eric got started. I unloaded a few boxes with knick knacks and looked at lots of framed shots. Sat down and ate dinner and watched part of Wedding Singer and Cops. K took off after 9 and we started getting ready for bed. Relaxed and fell asleep by 11.

Friday 1/15, I went home and tried to shower but the hot water was gone because the washer was going and Eric had showered. I changed and took off for Lincoln Square and got there very quickly. I looked around at the Container Store then over to Palomino but no one was there. I waited to hear back from Kristel then went next door to Earl’s where they’d scored a booth in the back. We ordered flat bread to share and that was delicious. We chatted and admired the cleavage and décor. I ordered a salad and it wasn’t great, but I did get a brownie dessert that was really tasty. We stayed until 8:45 and took off. Home by 9 and had some cereal and Eric had already gotten ready for bed. We climbed into bed and Eric went to sleep early, and I stayed up for a little bit longer then to sleep.

Thursday 1/14, Stopped at the house and painted the wall upstairs and it looked normal so I was pleased. Headed home and went to the store after Eric agreed to make stir fry. I picked up snap peas, broccoli, mushrooms and an onion. Carrots at home. He whipped it all up and I ate a ton. It was delish! We watched our Thursday shows. Showered and went to bed.

Wednesday 1/13, Went over to the house and used the spray and it worked pretty well. I did the upstairs and downstairs. At home I let the little dogs out and waited for Eric to get home to make dinner. He made a potato turkey casserole that was soo good. I think I had three helpings. So cheesy and potato-y. Watched the tv shows and went to bed.

Tuesday 1/12, I was going to stop by the house to try the spray but it didn’t work so I didn’t. I went straight home and let the little dogs out. I heated up leftovers and left half for Eric. When he got home I talked him into going to Home Depot to get the spray and to look at insulation. I also got a “For Rent” sign to post by the complex. We walked over to Best Buy so I could exchange Alix’s cd and got her two other ones. We went home and I watched Biggest Loser then went to bed.

Monday 1/11, Eric forgot to put the spray can in my car so I didn't stop at the house on the way home. Eric worked late and I was starving. He made some really delicious meat loaf, mashed potatoes and peas and carrots. I ate a lot. It wasn't done til about 8:30 so I was starving. Watched tv and did some stuff around the house.

Sunday 1/10, Woke up at 7:30 to go over to the other house and paint the wall in the master and get the one section textured. First into Issaquah for gas, then to the old house but Eric grabbed the wrong texture. He grabbed some faux finish paint I didn't know I even had. Back to the house to find it, and back to the other house, only to have it not even work. Clogged tube. We painted the rest of the wall instead and got a good two coats then we were done and went home. I showered and started straightening my hair, which I hadn't done it in like 2 years. Chrystol and Schuyler showed up as I continued on my hair. It wasn't perfect but we were hungry and it was like 10:45 so it was good enough. We took off in Eric's car and found the place over by 520. Can't remember the name now. Had a very good breakfast and headed home. On the way stopped at the Paper Source and looked for ideas for invites and save the dates. I bought Alix a little calendar for her birthday. Back at home Chrystol and I laid in my bed while Eric and Schuyler watched football. We looked through back issues of Martha Stewart Weddings and found things we liked. We had some brownies and they took off by 4 or so. Maybe we ran an errand. Don't remember. I went over to Moms by 5:30 for dinner and had to wait a while for E&E to arrive. Dinner went fine and I asked E&E lots of questions about their wedding and professions. Went home by 8 I think. Relaxed and went to bed.

Saturday 1/9, Woke up at 4:45 and got ready and out the door in about 20 minutes. I made it to Ballard in 20 minutes, when it usually takes 40. I love driving down 45th at 40mph, not one car, not one red light, not one pedestrian. Glorious start to the morning. Chrystol was ready so we hopped in the car and drove up to Everett with a stop at the drive thru Starbucks on Broadway. It’s so crazy how different it looks, but still the same. We found parking easily and went and stood in line. It was 6am. Lots of people huddled up, but also a lot of ridiculous women with heels and wearing like nothing. It was freezing. The radio station said they were going to come around and talk to people about their engagement stories and all that so we formulated that we'd be lesbians who were originally dating two guys who were roommates then we started cheating on them with each other. I moved my ring to my ring finger just in case. The three women in front of us were really funny and we talked about hitting other women in the head with fruit as well as stabbing them since the rules didn't mention anything. We were in the third wave and were freezing by the time we got in there. We grabbed 6 dresses and went in. The amount of unnecessary nudity was hilarious. Yikes. Chrystol wore a slip, thinking ahead. We found one good dress but Chrystol didn't love it so we gave it to another girl and went out for round two. We grabbed some more and back in, the crowds were dying down. I tried one on for hilarity's sake. We left empty handed and it was only a little after 9. Drove back gabbing the whole way. Dropped C off and headed home and made myself some pancakes since Eric was busy outside doing chores and getting the yard spruced up. He did so much it kills me. My pancakes were not very good. I crawled into bed and looked at dresses for a while then passed the eff out. I was out until 1. I couldn't wake up but had so much to do. Spent some time waking up, at Eric’s suggestion, then Eric fell asleep on the couch so I went and cleaned the bathrooms, which took some time. C&S were going to come over for dinner but cancelled, so I called Kristel to see if she wanted to come over for dinner and she did so Eric and I started pulling some recipes. I wanted the potato soup he made a long time ago. We found it and he rode his bike to the store and picked up supplies. I started the brownies and continued cleaning. She arrived as Eric was cooking and it smelled soo good. We sat at the dining room table and talked while Eric brought it all out. We had bread too, yum. I ate all mine then we had dessert. Brownies and vanilla ice cream. Delish! We eventually moved into the living room and talked on the couch. She stayed until 9 or so then took off. We got into bed and watched Big Love until it was time for SNL. I watched about 20 minutes then fell asleep.

Friday 1/8, Eric wanted to go into Seattle and go to a town hall meeting with Schuyler so I stayed home and I think ate leftovers. I watched Big Love and had all the dogs up on the bed with me and updated this. Chrystol called and asked if I wanted to do this "Dress Dash" thing up in Everett at the events center at like 5am the next morning. I so didn't want to do it, but the more I thought about it the better of an idea it sounded. If she could get a good dress for $200 it would be a steal as well as a hilarious story. She called around 10:30 and said she didn't want to make me; I told her I was in and that I'd see her around 5 the next morning. I went to bed and Eric came home shortly after.

Thursday 1/7, Woke up to a clean kitchen. Eric is great. I knew when I got home there would be more done as well. I'm very lucky. I stopped at Office Depot on the way home and got a storage container. Eric already had laundry going, changed the sheets on the bed, made guacamole and had dinner going. Thank god for him. I ate so much guacamole then made the dogs their dinner. We ate and it was very good. Watched tv and laughed at the Office. All NBC shows were repeats so we watched a couple then showered and climbed into bed and watched an episode of Big Love. Nyx's heating blanket came but she hated it and wouldn't get in her bed so I took it out and she still wouldn't get in. I decided not to worry about it and woke up in the middle of the night and she was in her bed like usual. Asleep by 10:45.

Wednesday 1/6, I stopped by the house to drop some flyers in the little box then home and let the little puppies out. Kristel arrived like 3 minutes after I did and I was trying to get Castor in the house so I could answer the door. Lots of barking and jumping (in general, not on anyone). I showed her around the house now that there's furniture in it then we sat in the kitchen and ate chips and talked and started dinner. She did the salad, I did the hamburger helper. We sat at the dining room table and talked about boys and I told her about my correspondence with LPC. Eric came home and we all talked around the table and eventually moved into the living room and played truth or dare and would you rather on my phone. Funny. Continued talking until about 8:45 and K left. I watched Modern Family then Cougar Town and was mad Ugly Betty was on after because I was tired and wanted to shower. I decided to skip it and get ready for bed. I was upset the house was a mess and I feel out of control with the finances so Eric called me out and I told him, even though I didn't recognize it until he asked. We talked and I felt less stressed. Fell asleep by 10:30.

Tuesday 1/5, Corresponding with LPC and told him I still have a crush on him, but it's ok because Eric knows I crush a lot. I stopped by the house again and straightened up and cleaned the shower in my bathroom quickly, then to the store to pick up stuff for my and Kristel's dinner the next night. I was home by 5:30 and let the little puppies out since Eric had started up school again and was in class. I ate more leftovers for dinner and Eric was home not much later. I watched Biggest Loser and Eric said it feels like it's on every night of the week. Clearly not a fan. He may have been asleep by the time I went into the bedroom.

Monday 1/4, Meggs and Ernesto left early. I stopped by the house on the way home and picked up the cookie sheets and cleaned out the fridge as well as wash out some of the cupboards. It felt good to come home and have nothing going on. Eric fixed the gutter and I cleaned up the kitchen from the night before. We ate leftovers for dinner and I had ice cream for dessert. I can't remember if I watched Big Love or something on tv. I think we went to bed pretty early since we were both tired.

Sunday 1/3, Eric was up early and I ate some cereal then M&E got up. They were having a day of sightseeing and friends. I wanted a day of lounging. After they left we showered and had some grown up time. We sat on the couch and watched some tv then Eric took a nap and I watched Big Love. M&E came home earlier than I expected and took naps too. The house was quiet and I just snuggled with the dogs and watched more BL. Meggs got up and started on dinner (having people over to see Meggan) so I got up and started cleaning and getting things organized. Jake, Sos, Hakim, Carmen, Josh and Kaya all came so it was the first big dinner party and the house felt full, but also, not full at all. The windows fogged up so I opened them. Hakim and Carmen want me to keep the pool. Hakim wants to be able to say he has a friend with a pool. Dinner was great and dessert too. We all sat around the table talking and laughing and it was really fun. People started trickling out and by 10 I think the last people were leaving. We all got ready for bed and M&E were packing and hitting the sack since they had to be up early. It was a good night.

Saturday 1/2, Eric got up and made breakfast, the best french toast ever, and I started doing some stuff and ate. Meggs and Ernesto had breakfast and got ready and I drove them into Seattle to get a rental car while Eric went to pick up Duke and Anu. When I got back Eric was in a bad mood because of the dogs so I got them set up in the back room so they weren't in the pool area. We took off and went to All the Best and picked out a bunch of new wet foods and supplements then off to Wells Medina to peruse. We looked at the blueberry shrubs and I wanted all of them but Eric made me wait. We looked at the others and eventually left for home. We weren't home long when Eric left to go have some alone time and run errands because I think he was still in a bad mood. Maybe, I can’t recall. M&E came home to get ready for the wedding and I think I was watching tv or reading and Eric got home with his new French press. They took off pretty quickly after and Eric and I went and got teriyaki at the place by the house and the lady gave Eric a polished rock. We watched a couple episodes of Big Love then Sos and Jake arrived and picked up the dogs. We stayed up late and watched SNL then went to sleep, maybe 1:15.

Friday 1/1, We were up by 8 and Eric had plans to go to Schuyler's for football but helped me get the house ready for when Meggan would arrive later. I was putting stuff away and getting boxes emptied after he left. Susan came over by 2 and we hung out and talked on the couch. We went to Goodwill and looked around and I refrained from buying anything. We went back and continued talking for a bit then we loaded up the shelf and she took off. I did a little more work then relaxed until Eric arrived home. Meggs texted me that they'd landed by 7:30 so we took off for the airport to pick her and Ernesto up. Got them and squished into the car because their luggage was so massive. Drove home and they unloaded. I was snack-y and needed to get dryer sheets so we all went to the store and Ernesto picked up a pizza and I got some chips then we tried to check out but the checker wanted ids and Eric didn't have his so Ernesto had to go back in and try again and was texting that the guy was a dick but he finally sold it to Ernesto. Like four 20 and 30 somethings are going to get wasted on 6 beers. Back at the house we got the pizza going and I ate a bunch of chips and we all sat on the couch and ate and talked and watched Seinfeld, which Ernesto has never watched. We were up until like 11, or maybe later.

Thursday 12/31, P let me leave at 12:30 and wasn't in, it was nice. I went home and Eric was there after having cleaned the other house. We ate lunch then headed out for some errands. First up, All the Best where I stocked up on supplies, then over to Wells Medina but they were closed. We drove around and looked at houses on our way to the mall. Went to the Mac store and set my new iphone and it was really easy and so fast I almost missed it. We each got a Specialties treat then out to the car. Went home and played on the phone and Eric was as enthralled as I was. Mom and Dad came over for dinner and Mom brought beef bourguignon and mashed potatoes. We sat and talked for a long time and Dad showed me how to add apps and which ones he likes. They left after 9 or so and we relaxed and continued to play on the phone. We stayed up but I couldn't make it to midnight and fell asleep at 11:30 with Eric not far behind.

Wednesday 12/30, P knew I wasn't pleased as I was mostly crabby and quiet all day. She knows how to make it better. Thankfully I was out of there early. I just went straight home since Eric was still feeling like shit. Probably watched my shows and maybe Eric made dinner.
