Thursday 2/18, Eric was home when I got there and hopped in the shower. I started laundry and took the dogs out. I started the great organization of the last 6 months or so of my bills and paperwork. I made new 2010 files and started filling them. I made some headway but I have a lot yet to do. Eric made me a couple salads then reheated the pasta. I had a few bites of his chicken and veggies then dessert started. Too many lemon cookies. Went and cleaned up my files and got into bed. Read AD for a while then crashed out.
Wednesday 2/17, Took my car to the mechanic and it's bad news. $2k. Ouch. The guy at least gave me a loaner so I don't have to rent one. It's a little Mitsubishi Montero. Castor likes it. I told Eric at lunch when he called. He was home when I got there then quickly took off for school on his bike. I did stuff around the house. When he got home he made me some salad then I had the leftovers from V-Day and some of the dinner he made (pasta) but not much because I didn't want carbs. I had an apple afterward and was totally stuffed. I can't stop eating in the evenings. Like "What can I eat next?!" Maybe Mercury is in retrograde. Or whatever. I think I stayed in the bedroom and read, or watched tv or something in there. Went to bed at 9:30.
Tuesday 2/16, I was feeling not so great after work, but stopped at the store anyway since we didn't really have food and I wanted salad for dinner. Home and climbed into bed with the dogs and tried to go to sleep but they kept barking every 4 minutes and finally Eric was home from class and I told him I didn't feel good so he got my salt water and started dinner. I stayed in bed and watched Office and he brought my dinner in and it was sooo good. I ate very quickly; like I was starving. Then he got me an apple and peanut butter. I was still hungry. Had some of Chrystol's chocolate cake. Finally had enough. Eric took the dogs out and I gave them their snack and gargled some more salt water. Went to bed a little after 10.
Monday 2/15, Woke up 8:30-ish, had breakfast then talked to K about lunch. I dressed and hit the road at 11, called Alix on the way to downtown Bellevue. She got her nose pierced and was really excited about it. It was cute. I found parking no problem and went into Barrio. I was the first one there! I got my pick of the tables. K showed up and we perused the menu. We ordered chips to start and the girl brought us all three salsas for the price of one. We love that place! The busser kept making googly eyes at Kristel and I laughed every time. We both did serious damage to our lunches then decided to do dessert too and got the churros with melted dark chocolate. We ate it ALL. Well, I finished off the chocolate with my spoon. It was a fun 2 hour lunch. I went home and Eric and I took off for the Dollar Tree to look for NASCAR posters. We found them! And lots of movie theater candy! Boston Baked Beans, I love those. $11 later and we went down the hill, missing the freeway onramp so we detoured through Target where I tried on some maternity stretch pants, but wasn't about to waste $25 on those. Walked through the rest of the store and looked at stuff. Next we drove around The Landing and looked at some of the little shops. Eric made me stop at the house one and we looked around. It was cute and I didn't buy anything. Stopped at the store on the way home and picked up some stuff for dinner. When we got home Eric made the brats with onions and made sandwiches out of them. I should have only eaten one, but instead I was foolish and ate two. Ughh. Full. Watched Bachelor and managed to rope Eric into watching the first half hour. He was still up after it was over and we went to bed.
Sunday 2/14, I talked to Kristel earlyish and she bailed on brunch because she was sick. I called Susan and she was still up for it so I called Chrystol next but she was more interested in a hike and going to get coffee with Schuyler. I called Susan and told her the news. Eric and I laid in bed for a while relaxing and talking and eventually he got up and made us breakfast burritos. Yum! We sat at the dining room table, the first time for breakfast! I wanted to go to the little home boutique at Crossroads so I talked Eric into going with me and we wandered around and looked at stuff. I got some magnets and new coasters that Eric likes much better. The women in there were very excited it was V-Day. We went and got a donut and I got the buttermilk with custard and felt really guilty about it. It was delicious. Back home I wanted to trim the tree / bush thing in front of the bedroom window so I grabbed the clippers and spent about a half hour out there and Eric opened the window to tell me that Chrystol called and wanted us to go hike Rattlesnake Ridge. We were going to be cutting it close time-wise for dinner (Pearl at 6) so we ended up canceling dinner rezzies and took our time with the hike. We met C&S up at the mountain and got started. Everyone really liked it, and Chrystol and I ended up really lagging behind because we were tired. We made it to the top quickly and sat up there for about 15 - 20 minutes enjoying the views and watching the fog creep toward us down the valley to the southeast. It was beautiful. But got cold very quickly. Back down we went and it took an hour. C&S invited us to go to dinner with them at Costas Opa; we said we'd call them. Went home, fed the dogs, decided to do dinner with them and got ready and headed out. The place was packed when we got there but we got a great table. I had the Corfu Kota (chicken) and it was good. Chrystol ordered some flaming cheese as an appetizer. Dinner was fun and we headed back to the Eastside. We stopped at DQ and I got a cheesecake blizzard and we sat at the corner booth and just laughed at the people there. Mostly high schoolers who were really cool. Went home afterward and sat on the couch watching pairs ice skating. Eric fell asleep. I woke him up after the skating was over and we went to bed.
Saturday 2/13, Eric was up early on his birthday, but I didn't feel like getting up at 7 so I stayed in bed until 8 or so. I told him he could eat something since we wouldn't be having brunch until about 11:30. We hung in our pjs for a while then started getting ready. We had a little bit of time before needing to leave. Chrystol and Schuyler confirmed they were going to meet us there but Eric didn't know. I called Hi Spot right before we left to get our name on the list. We drove into Seattle and it was rainy. Nice conversation all the way in. Found parking, went in, waited, C&S walked in right on time and Eric was surprised. We talked until our table was ready. We talked about the barefoot bandit and his escapades then ordered. I got the Pacific NW omelet and it was good. Schuyler spilled the beans about our plans for after brunch and we all laughed. I could tell he felt bad, it was ok though. Eric pretended he didn't hear. We hung there for quite a while then took off. We drove around Madrona and eventually into Madison and on the way out stopped at Essentials and each got a cookie to snack on on the way to Seattle Center. We parked and walked up to the Rep, got the tickets and I tricked Eric into thinking we weren't seeing Speech and Debate, but we were. We found our seats and they were good, talked and texted with Dad about Eric's birthday message. The play was good though some parts were a little over the top. I loved the dance part; favorite. Afterward we talked about it and walked to the car. We headed home and were both feeling sleepy. When we got home I think I fell asleep for a little while. Eric made fajitas for dinner and they were good. C&S called to see if we wanted them to bring bday cake over; I told Eric they were coming but the cake was a surprise. They showed up right before 8 and we sat around the table and talked and ate a double chocolaty cake and it was fun. Good time. They left around 11 and we got ready for bed and Eric watched the Olympics for a while in the living room but it was lights out for me.
Friday 2/12, We hung out and Eric made dinner. He asked if we had to get up early the next day and I told him no. I stayed in the bedroom for most of the night while he watched the Olympic Opening Ceremony in the living room. I think we ended up going to bed fairly early anyway.
Thursday 2/11, Susan and I decided we'd watch Paper Heart and get take out rather than go skating. I got home early and Eric and I had the dogs outside when Susan arrived. We took off for Goodwill to drop some stuff and find props and outfits for the party. We were there for a while then over to Szechuan Chef to pick up our dinner, then home. We put the movie on and dug in. I ate too much. The movie was ehhh, there were a couple funny parts but I didn't like not knowing whether or not the whole thing was staged. After it was over Susan left and I went to check on Eric and he was passed out. It was 8:45. I got ready for bed after cleaning up a bit and taking the dogs out. Went to bed.
Wednesday 2/10, Eric stayed home again, back was killing him, though no more stomach stuff. After work I headed home to find him feeling much better. He made us cheesy bread sandwiches with mozzarella and ciabatta. He made me leftovers and we sat and relaxed on the couch. We watched Modern Family and Cougar Town then I fell asleep during Ugly Betty in bed, and Eric fell asleep on the couch. I woke him up and told him to come to bed.
Tuesday 2/9, Eric was sicker so I stayed home with him and we both had mid-morning naps on the couch. Lots of lounging. I eventually showered and dressed, but probably not before lunch. Took Castor and Nyx for a walk around the blueberry fields; they enjoyed it. We watched a bunch of Overhaulin and that was entertaining. It was a very relaxed day. Eric's back was hurting but he thought he'd be going to work the next day. He made me a delish sandwich for dinner (mozzarella, basil, tomato on ciabatta). I had some cheesy bread too. Watched BL and crawled into bed just before it was over and played on my computer.
Monday 2/8, Eric was sick in the morning and stayed home. When I got home he was feeling better and made a delicious pot roast in the crock pot with some pasta, carrots and potatoes. I ate too much, then I think I ate an apple or pear. We watched a bunch of Santa Fe videos online and parts of the Bachelor. We were both disgusted with ourselves for it. Went to bed early-ish.
Sunday 2/7, Up at 7:30 for a hike with Sos and Jake. I wanted Eric to go but he wanted to stay home and prep for the Superbowl. I took off a little after 8, got to S&J's and we took off a few minutes later. Sos rode with me and we talked about earning potential and their impending move (wahhh). We found the parking lot fine and geared up. Rattlesnake Ridge. When Jake pointed out where we were going I was like "Are you serious?" because it was way the eff up there and I was suddenly not feeling like I wanted to do it. We did though, and it was BEAUTIFUL. So glad I went. Two miles up; shorter than Little Si, but more elevation gain. We talked all the way up and down and though I was tired it felt good. It was 11 on the nose when we got down. I called Eric to see if I should pick up Nyx at the groomer's but he said it would take 3 hours. I came home and he had heated up one of the delicious sandwiches from the night before for me for lunch. I ate it very quickly. I showered and started getting ready, then cleaned off the dining room table and Eric took it from there. I left to pick up Nyx a little before 2 I think. I stopped at the store for a few things, then All the Best to get more anti-anxiety and got some more free samples of the Perfect Form, for Castor, and the Sparkle for Brizo. I picked Nyx up and she looked totally different no more hair on her ears. She looked cute, and surprisingly not all that freaked out. I thought maybe they drugged her or something. They said she was so good and just looked at them with her big sad eyes. I took her home and Brizo was glad to see her. Eric had all the food out and it was beautiful. Wow. I snaked some mozza and a tomato and gave my compliments. The balsamic chicken was good too. C&S showed up and dug right in. I had some of the ricotta filled shells but the tomato sauce was a bit too spicy for me. I ate plenty of other stuff though. I made cookies but forgot about them, of course, and they burned. But not so bad that Chrystol, Kristel and I didn't still eat almost all of them. Kristel came about half way through the game and we all packed on the couch. Brizo sat on Kristel and let her pet her almost the whole time. I couldn't believe it. She's never done that. I think she gets jealous when Nyx gets pets. We looked at restaurants to go to for V-Day morning and soon K took off. C&S stayed a bit longer. We all chatted and had a good time. We cleaned up a bit but left most of it to be dealt with later. I popped in Tudors and watched the first episode of season 3. Went to bed not long after.
Saturday 2/6, Eric was up early but I stayed in bed a little longer and relaxed. He brought me two donuts in bed, one being the cute pink heart one we saw the weekend before. He left to go get Chris' truck. I showered and got ready and read one of my AD. I called Kass but she wasn't up yet, which was good. Eric arrived and we headed over to Peggy's to get the pressure washer and the big mirror from ME; however, Eric set it on it's corner and a few pieces broke off. Urg. Why? Whyyyyyy? We loaded up the stuff, said hi to ME and her daughter and went to Home Depot. Eric ran in and got a gas can and hose. Back at the house we unloaded and Eric took off to go drop the truck back off and to dump the rest of the shit in the garage. I waited for Kass to get ready but headed out before hearing from her. I stopped on MI to go to the bank to deposit the security deposit from KW then on to Hi Spot. I beat Kass and Sunshine but saw Megan waiting with Ryan and her parents and she had been waiting forever, apparently, and severely needed some water and food. K&S arrived and I told them to go say hi to M. We had to wait awhile so the host gave us a delicious organge poppyseed scone. We were seated, ordered and proceeded to talk about our sex drives and friends' relationships. Sunshine and I are very alike. Paid and headed out into the sun and headed home, calling Dad on the way. He wanted the DL on Kassie's house she's trying to buy. I gave my blessing. At home Eric was trying to get the pressure washer started, but never did. Eric had plans to go out and I think I fell asleep for a little bit. He went to the store and got food to make me dinner. I watched some tv and called Kristel to see if she wanted to come over and have whatever Eric was making me for dinner. No answer. Eric left after 7. Schuyler called to see if I was really having a white trash house party and I confirmed I was so they were going to find their costumes. I started drafting the invite and also ideas for decor and prizes. I stayed up fairly late but ended up falling asleep before Eric got home.
Friday 2/5, Called about the dog play group class at the HS and now need to call Cheri. Went home and did some chores while waiting for Eric to get home from his haircut. It looked good. We didn't stick around long, fed the dogs and headed to Chipotle for dinner. I tried a new meat. We talked about our days then skidaddled out of there to make the 7:30 showing of "Crazy Heart". We got good seats but I ended up having to sit next to someone, meh. It was a fantastic movie and it made Eric tear up, which in turn made me tear up. I've never, ever, seen that happen. We talked about it and the Southwest on the way home and the prospect of moving there someday. The dogs were very happy to see us and they all went out before we got ready for bed and were asleep early, like 10:30.
Thursday 2/4, Eric made dinner, though I don't remember what, and we watched the Thursday night shows. Can't remember anything else.
Wednesday 2/3, Went home and fed the dogs and did a little picking up. Went to Walgreens since they sent me a coupon and got some toiletries and saved like $15, yay! Then over to QFC for some pears and bananas. At home I started clearing out the third bedroom and moving stereo equipment into the family room and trying to decide how I wanted it set up. Maybe stereo in the closet and wired under the floor to the speakers. Hmm. Possibilities. Eric came home from class and we talked in the kitchen while I continued to move speakers around. I heated up my dinner and watched the Office and got sucked into Old Dog Haven, which is a rescue only for old dogs who people just throw away. It's so sad. I was very depressed, but also decided I would sponsor some dogs. How awful to abandon dogs in their old age. People are awful. Except the people at the rescue, they're wonderful. Anyway, I got sucked into that and couldn't stop reading all the horrible stories and looking at the pictures of the dogs that had died there. We watched some shows and I looked at doors and Eric went in the other room. I took some measurements and finally got into bed. Watched Ugly Betty. Nyx kept getting on the bed so I kept putting her in her bed and Eric was talking in his sleep about the dog barking at the door and that it was ok. It made me laugh, especially since it seemed like he was half awake. Finally turned the tv off and went to sleep.
Tuesday 2/2, One of my tax files was corrupted so I couldn't mail them that morning and had to wait until Wednesday, drat. Last year it took about three weeks to get my refund between when I sent the return and when it was deposited. Fingers crossed. I dropped Castor at home and fed the dogs while Eric went for a run. I left not too much later for Mom's to have dinner since Kassie was up. I beat her there and told them about the new renters. She showed up and we ate dinner and it was very good. Some lemon ricotta cookies for dessert. We went upstairs to look at houses on the MLS. Kass and I marked about 22 of them for her and Mom to look at. I left a little after 8 and headed home. Eric was already in bed so I sat with him for a little bit then went in the living room. He ended up falling asleep so I moved back in the other room and finished watching in there and played on my computer. Went to sleep.
Monday 2/1, I went home and got started on my taxes again and Eric went for a run while I did that. I fed the dogs and continued. I pretty much got them all finished with just a little confusion about my closing costs for the refi and also for the new house. Called Dad and he guided me in the right direction. I sent the forms to myself and decided to go to Kinkos in the morning and print them out and send them off. I can't believe the return, frankly. Thanks 2nd home tax credit! And shit loads of mortgage interest! And real estate taxes! Plus I donated 3 times more than the prior year to dog rescues. Finished that up and into bed. Eric may have been asleep already.
Sunday 1/31, Woke up at a decent hour and had a lot of things on my schedule: Costco, Costco gas, car wash, mall, frame shop, the Rack, etc. I was all ready then realized nothing was open yet so I took my time and got gas first, then Costco for random stuff, then Kristel called to ask if she could come over for ski pants. I hit the car wash, headed home, got Kristel the outfit and chatted for a minute then Eric decided to run the rest of my errands with me. We went to the mall and went to Sephora so I could smell perfumes I liked, found one, Guerlin (fruity mandarin one) then went to Nordstrom to see if they had it so I could use my credit, nope. No shoes spoke to me so we went upstairs and I wandered around Pottery Barn and Eric William Sonoma. Headed back to the car and into Factoria. Got my goat print all set up for framing, found two owl prints 50% off and bought those then over to QFC to pick up a sandwich and home. Eric warmed the mozzarella / basil / tomato sandwich up for me in the oven and it was heaven. I had cake for dessert. And also for various snacks throughout the day. For dinner Eric made a really good mac and cheese and we watched tv and I started collecting everything for my taxes and got started on that. Went to bed after DH.
Saturday 1/30, I had a hard time getting out of bed but did by 9 or so. I put on comfy clothes and started cleaning and hanging more pictures. Eric fussed with my car and thought he had it fixed (found out later it wasn't). I left to go over to the other house to show it to two people. The first lady was already there and took tons of pictures, video and measured everything. Yikes. I was hoping her people wouldn't want it. The next couple showed up right as she was leaving and they were nice, the one who'd emailed me earlier in the week, and they liked it a lot. She came downstairs and told me they'd take it. Yay, finally. I called Eric on my way home and asked him to heat up the oven and put in a sandwich for me. It wasn't quite done when I got home, but shortly after and I sat on the couch and ate it in bliss. We watched a little tv and hung out then I showered and fell asleep in the bedroom with the towel on my head. My hair was glorious after that. Not really. I think I started the new collage, either that or on Sunday. Kristel and I texted back and forth all day and finally agreed on Persimmon for dinner and I got ready and eventually left the house by 7 I think. Made it over there quickly and found Kristel already there with her wine. We chatted until Beth showed up and perused the menu. We all got the soup, spinach and yukon gold potato puree with little olive oil soaked croutons, and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. I got the pork chops for dinner and they were delicious. The other girls got salads. They picked at one of my pork chops. We talked about the house warming party and themes and ideas (kiddie pool in the courtyard filled with ice and beer). We ended up with two desserts and polished those suckers off. Paid, walked to our cars and said good bye. I drove home and when I got there I smelled a freshly baked something, and lo and behold it was cake with Eric-made chocolate and butterscotch frosting (basically just melted chocolate and butterscotch chips). It was still warm so I had a piece. It was like 9:30. Can't remember what we did but probably just watched tv in bed. SNL for a little bit then I fell asleep.
Friday 1/29, I had another woman interested to see it the next day for a family she knows in FL. Eric and I had a date to finish LotR. At home I think he made the most delicious Philly cheese steak sandwiches. We sat down to watch the movie. We got through the first two hour segment and he was ready for the last one and to start it up. We were up until almost midnight. He liked it, though I little too sci-fi for him in some spots. We crawled in bed and went to sleep.
Thursday 1/28, I went to the house to show it and the girl seems mildly interested, like the rest and wouldn't want to move in until March, also like the others. Bah. I stopped at the store on the way home then home where Eric had a beautiful stir fry yakisoba already done. I asked him if he ordered out and he informed me he made it. It was so good I couldn't stop eating it. Finally got a hold of myself. We watched random stuff on tv then I went in the bedroom and relaxed and looked at stuff online. Eric came in and was antagonizing me, well we were irritating each other, and he wouldn't give my magazine back so I turned out the light and wouldn't talk or roll over. That should teach him. We were out by like 10.
Wednesday 1/27, My car was smoking on the way home so I pulled over and called Eric and he said it's probably anti freeze and I should be fine to drive home, so instead of going to the store I went straight home and made it. I took the dogs out, put together a lemon pound cake, cleaned up the kitchen and put some stuff away while waiting for Kristel to arrive. She arrived and we sat down and talked for a minute then we took off for Papa Murphy's to pick out a pizza. We got one of the deLites with sun dried tomatoes, mushrooms (because I asked for them), chicken, spinach and some other stuff that I don't remember. Back at home we popped it in then I forgot to take the cake out and it was a little more done than it was supposed to be. Oh well. We sat down and ate and the pizza was really really good. Eric came home and looked at my car but couldn't find anything wrong. He cleaned up and joined us and we talked, tried to arrange our dinner, the house warming party (I think we've settled on a white trash theme), guest list and got out the desserts. K left by 8:45 so we put in LotR and finished off the second movie. It was almost 11 by the time we finished and got into bed. Eric stayed up a little and watched tv.
Tuesday 1/26, Booked tickets for a play for Eric's birthday per Uncle David's advice and also told me to tell the box office that my Uncle David is on the board and they'd hook it up. Found Eric at home and we talked outside with the dogs for a few minutes then he was off to his class. I made the bed, laundry, cleaned the kitchen, fed the dogs then rustled up some dinner. Lots of scavenging things that were already made in the fridge. He arrived home, made himself some dinner and told me about work then we put on the first disc of the second movie. After it was over I watched BL and corresponded with two more girls who each want to see the place. Showered and got ready for bed and went to sleep by 10:30.
Monday 1/25, P wasn't pleased. All I'm going to say. Well, I got a raise and bonus so that was good. Everything back to normal. At home Eric had been busy cleaning the house and had finished his homework. He was in the middle of making these incredible burgers with: gouda, caramelized onions, tomato, lettuce, Como bread buns, mayo, ketchup (specialty bbq for him) and bacon. They were gigantic. I ate all of mine and my salad. I waited until he was finished with his to put the second disc of LotR in. He liked that one too and wants to see the orc destruction in the next one. It was over with enough time for him to watch some tv. I got into bed and started my Vogue Cate Blanchett I think. To sleep.
Sunday 1/24, Eric brought me the last donut in bed and told me the quiche would take a little while. He made the most delicious mexican style quiche. It was so good. I think I was still in bed when he brought it to me. The girl I was supposed to show the place to on Sunday cancelled. I was glad I didn't have to hurry out. I took my time getting ready and showered and kept slowly putting stuff away and doing laundry. Schuyler came over around noon to watch the game with Eric. I stayed in the bedroom for most of that time and looked at stuff online and also went through the VF with Robert Pattinson on the cover that's been sitting by the bed since, like, December? Maybe even had it at the old house. Schuyler left and I watched some of the Viking game with Eric, but mostly continued reading my VF. The Vikings really blew it and they should have just kicked that damn field goal with 17 seconds on the clock or whatever, because they would have been better off doing that and risking the other team getting the ball back, than what they actually did. Oy. Eric didn't agree. I asked if he wanted to start LotR and he said sure so I put that on and we watched the first disc. He semi got into it which is good. We got into bed and messed around, showered, and settled into sleep.
Saturday 1/23, Eric was up early doing stuff around the house, but I was so tired and didn't want to get up. He disappeared for a while and reappeared with donuts! For me to eat in bed! Best boyfriend ever! I had two and fell back asleep for an hour or so. Got up while he was busy under the house putting up more insulation and got ready. We went over to the other house to show it to a couple who seemed mildly interested but I wasn't holding my breath. Went back to the house and called Mom to come over. Got some stuff put away then she showed up and we went over yard plans and came up with more ideas for the pool area including an asymmetrical roof line and outdoor fireplace with living room. It would be really cool. Who knows. We hung in the living room talking for a long time and I vented about work for a bit. Should have known better. She left and I continued doing a few things like hang collages and clean up the family room then prepped to go to Chris and Michelle's for dinner. We hit the road after feeding the dogs and Mom called saying she'd had a conversation and I braced myself for the fury later that week. Oh well. We arrived and met a few people who were heading out then Chris and Michelle started dinner. I played with Jack a lot who apparently really liked me. A first. I think it's because my hair color is the same as his mom's and we're about the same height. That was fun. We watched some hilarious stuff on tv which was a nice change from being at other people's houses. We ate dinner and Jack threw his tortilla chip right into Eric's taco which we laughed at but they said it's hard not to but that you're not supposed to. Sat on the couches and watched more tv and talked for a long time. They want a dog at some point so I said I'd help them find a good rescue and they're totally into it, given that's how they both grew up too. Yay! One less dog from a breeder or puppy mill. We eventually headed home at 11:30 and made it back by midnight. I was exhausted. We got ready for bed and crawled in. I was out quickly and Eric stayed up and watched SNL.
Friday 1/22, Had another call about the house and this woman wanted to know if I would accept Section 8, not thrilled. Eric wanted me to ask Kristel for dinner, not sure if Chrystol and Schuyler had plans. I was happy to sit at home and relax for the evening. K was busy so Eric proceeded with plans for dinner with Schuyler and Chrystol. I showered at home and we fed the dogs and took our time getting ready and out the door. Eric drove thank goodness because that puts me over the edge. We arrived right on time and were talking about what we'd do if we won the lottery. Schuyler made a delicious dinner complete with salad, wonderfully seasoned roast chicken and really good mashed potatoes. I ate all mine. Then for dessert he made these little mini berry cobblers with homemade whipped cream and ice cream. We talked about male prostitution and the first legal one in NV, the wedding and scheduling, other random sex stuff. We were there until almost midnight and it was a fun evening with great food and fun conversation. The wedding should be fun based on what I've seen of the site. Can't wait. Drove home and the dogs were excited, took them out, gave them their snack and went to bed not long after.
Thursday 1/21, Stopped at the other house on the way home again and hung out until the couple came by to look. Older couple, nice, but I don't think the location is what they want. She liked the colors and said it feels very "homey" even when empty, I guess that's a compliment. Got another call from a guy who wants to look at it on Saturday. Headed home and Eric was making polenta, but not much else because there was no food in the house. He's creative, that one. We both griped about our days a bit then I put clothes away. Ate dinner and headed off to the store for lunch supplies and apples. Found some lemon cookies and also some super on sale cereal. Home and watched some tv then had an apple. Eric made plans to have dinner with Chris and Michelle on Saturday. Should be fun and interesting. Haven't hung out with them one on one. Got ready for bed then climbed in and finished my AD. We cuddled for a little bit then went to sleep.
Wednesday 1/20, I stopped on the way home at the house and waited for some people to come see it. They were early, luckily, and seemed to like it and asked a lot of questions. From San Diego and I thought it was someone calling on Court's behalf to tell me she was in labor, nope. Got an email too from a couple wanting to see it the next day. Anyway, they were very nice and I'd be glad to rent to them. Went home and greeted the pups and gave them treats. I puttered around getting stuff put away in the family room and made some good headway. Fed the dogs and Eric arrived home before I knew it. He wanted me to make my own dinner so I had a super nutritious combination of instant oatmeal, microwave popcorn, apple and peanut butter and chocolate cake. Wow. I continued doing stuff around the house and showered then time for Modern Family and Cougartown, then Ugly Betty. Eric fell asleep and kept not breathing so I woke him up and told him he has sleep apnea but he didn't seem to care in his sleepy state. Went to sleep.
Tuesday 1/19, I stopped at the store on the way home and just missed Eric who was driving away as I pulled in. Hung with the pups and checked email, emailed the woman from the night before, fed the dogs and texted with Susan. I took off for the mall and went to Nordstrom first to return some mascara then over to 7 to meet Susan. She was in the chair having her hair cut so I sat there and we talked about our pets and places to eat (not Chipotle). After she checked out we went to Nordstrom to look at boots but found nothing and left for dinner. We drove over to Chipotle and talked while we ate. Susan was a messy eater. We decided to call it a night so I drove her to her car and she gave me LotR since I've convinced Eric to watch the first three segments. I went home and chatted with Eric in the bedroom for a while about going to San Diego in February and also house stuff. He got one roll of insulation put up under the bedroom, got the garage more cleaned out and organized and got the bedroom all picked up. He's amazing and works so fast! I helped myself to a helping of chocolate cake and put on Biggest Loser. I called Dad on a commercial and we talked about the car and we'll probably skip going in February and let them bring it up in April. I went in to talk to Eric about it and he was asleep. Ok. I finished my show, got ready for bed, took the dogs out and got into bed. I read a few articles in Architectural Digest (I'm like 4 issues behind!) and lights out.
Monday 1/18, Eric got stood up (to show the house) while I was at work, so that sucked but it was just because of that stupid email thing. I went home after work, got off a little early, we hung a few pictures and I talked to Susan for a bit. I had leftovers for dinner, but still wanted a bite of Eric's dinner because it looked good. We went over to the house a little after 7 and waited for the people who were coming to see it. They were early, yay, and looked around. They had quite a few questions so I thought it was a good sign. Went home and I was feeling snacky and wanted chocolate so next thing I knew Eric was in the kitchen whipping up a chocolate cake with homemade frosting. Yum. I wanted to watch Something About Mary so I put it on and we had cake and chuckled our way through. It's been a while since I've seen it. Over at 10, got ready for bed and started research for plane tickets and driving back from San Diego to get the car. Eric didn't like the idea but I told him to think about it anyway, because I knew once he did he'd probably change his mind (he did). Went to sleep.
Sunday 1/17, Got two bites on the house. Unfortunately one fell through the next day because of stupid boxbe. Don't sign up for it, it's terrible and intercepts your mail! Anyway, Eric was up by 7 and I was up by 8 I think. I showered and gave the two little dogs a bath then we went to Lowe's to get some insulation for under the house. When we got home I think I just tried to put stuff away and get some more pictures up on the wall. Eric watched football and I watched some with him while I ate my lunch. Eventually I went in the bedroom and watched DH online to catch up on the two episodes I missed. I think we had leftovers for dinner and watched EHM, kind of, and DH after that.
