Monday 4/5, Eric didn’t feel good so he stayed home from work and I left Castor there. He was making dinner when I came home and I told him to lay down. I showered then ate the dinner he made which was very good. I talked to Susan for a long time and Kassie until her phone cut out. Eric was asleep by 8 or 9 and I watched GG in the living room. Finished a couple ADs and a Martha Stewart Weddings. Started trying to upload this thing but blogger was giving me all this guff. IE won’t let me copy and paste; while Safari gives the text some weird white block background. I finally got so frustrated I deleted the entries and went to bed.
Thursday 4/1, Talked to Jess on the way home and planning to go roller skating or something for her birthday. It was a long day and I was glad to be home. I took the dogs out and gave them treats then started getting ready for a shower when Eric came home. He hopped in with me and we talked about our days. Our new big client making me feel like I'm an idiot and don't deserve to ask her questions. Meh. After the shower I felt lazy so Eric made the dogs' dinner and I lounged on the couch and watched tv. Since tv was all repeats we watched Paris Je T'Aime and Eric liked it though he grew restless toward the end, which I could relate to remembering how Aubrie and I were when she came to town and we saw it down on Queen Anne. It was 9 when it was over so Eric climbed into bed and I stayed up a bit longer and looked at stuff online, finished March's Architectural Digest and crashed out at 10:45.
Wednesday 3/31, Eric made delicious mac and cheese for dinner with green peppers, tomato and kielbasa (I had like, 3 helpings, yikes). We finished watching Black Snake Moan and Modern Family. I called Kassie because I wanted to tell her about Eric's encounter at the gas station and freaking out a couple filling gas cans. I called the house, no answer. They'd gotten into a fight and she was staying in a hotel so I caught her on her cell. We chatted about the issues on the table then moved onto convos about food and Kass and Sky giving Eric a small loan for a big penis implant. We were all laughing so hard. He's going to present it at Christmas for everyone to see and it will wear a santa hat and beard and he will show it off with a white glove and pivot from side to side so everyone can get a look. Eric was appreciative of their generosity. She's coming up next weekend to get some stuff settled with the new house. After that we talked and Eric was a bit amped and went into the living room to watch tv. Stuff about S' Mom and treatment and all that.
Tuesday 3/30, Took Castor to the old park and went around twice and called Zeph who updated me and told me about my SLC doppelganger. Home and Eric had done a whirlwind job cleaning up the place and taking garbage out, etc. I sent the electric bill to KW while Eric showered and we sat on the couch and relaxed. It started hailing and was all icy outside, crazy. We ate dinner and watched BL, though Eric checked out early to climb into bed. I went to bed by 10:30.
Monday 3/29, Home a little early and beat Eric which surprised me. He'd had an exhausting day at work and mine was better than expected due to low stress levels. I took the dogs out in between crazy rain showers. Got two new cds and one movie in the mail. I did stuff around the house until Eric came home and I told him my idea to go to Costco. He showered and we left around 6. Hit Office Depot and got some stuff then over to Costco where we got some stuff and when we emerged it was pouring. We ran to the car and laughed the whole way while Eric carried everything. At home he got the pizza going and got the salad out, yum, had two bowls. Watched Office and ate pizza. We put on Black Snake Moan and I watched for a while then took a shower and climbed into bed to watch GG. I'm feeling rather ehhh on it lately and if it doesn't get better soon I might cut it loose. Talked to Susan about a hilarious spotting of an ex who we'd just been talking about on Saturday. Eric fell asleep on the couch so I woke him up on my way to take the dogs out. Climbed into bed, paid some bills, balanced my checkbook and off to sleep.
Sunday 3/28, Eric was up early and I was up by 8. We both dressed and started busting ass around the house cleaning, picking up and Eric pressure washed the patio, walkways, brick wall and back deck, inside pool room ceiling (now a bright white!) and back stairs. I took off for some errands: pet store, BB&B, etc at Crossroads. Got what I needed then perused Half Priced Books for movies and cds but talked myself out of buying anything. Went home and had leftovers for lunch. Eric wanted to see Hot Tub Time Machine so we went up there for a 12:30 show. It was funny and we enjoyed it. We went to Safeway so Eric could get cash, then to Albertsons to shop and we split up to hurry the process. It was raining when we headed out. Back at home we may have napped again; I don't remember. I think Eric made something for dinner and that's when I woke up. Ah yes, a stroganoff, it was delicious with secret ingredients being Dijon mustard and sour cream. I ate too much. I thought I had a show on, but I didn't. I worked on my collage instead and went through tons of old magazine clippings and threw a bunch out. Into bed by 10 and asleep by 11.
Saturday 3/27, We were up early and I tried calling to see when my hair appointment was but they weren't open. I showered and dressed and Sean called while I did that and confirmed 11. We hit the road, found parking no problem, walked over to Sonic Book and I bought a Devotchka album then over to get my hair cut. Sean said I looked like a hippie because my hair was so out of control and asked if I'd been working the shave ice stand with Kassie. We chatted through the hour and a half session and in the end I left with shortish hair and bangs again. Eric and I left and headed up the hill to go to Barrio and called Schuyler and Chrystol to meet us for lunch. They were going to be a while so we parked and went in the Ferrari dealership and talked to the guy for a long time about the cars and how everything works. C&S met us and we had a nice lunch. It was sunny and beautiful. We went across the street to a home shop having a sale but didn't get anything. Went home and fell asleep on the couch then Eric got up and went to Ace and I took the dogs out and both Castor and Nyx were naughty and ran to the front yard. Susan was going to be over in a bit, I paid some bills then she showed up. I asked if she wanted to go out and run some errands. We went to All the Best: closed (it was 6:10), Entenmann's outlet: closed. Grr. We decided to go into downtown Bellevue to Las Margaritas for old time's sake. I had the cheese nachos then some fried ice cream, even though I wasn't hungry. We talked and had a good time. We left and went home where we got out the cookies (for Susan) and put in Whip It. Eric watched part of it with us. It was a cute movie with a cute boy. It was about 9:15 when it ended so we talked for a while then she took off. I think Eric was watching something, like 48 Hours, so I watched that and got ready for bed. Stayed awake long enough to see John Hamm was on SNL (repeat) and went to bed.
Friday 3/26, Talked to Sos after work about plans. Went home and showered and helped Eric do some cleaning, though he did the bulk of it. Got ready to go out then Sos showed up and we took off pretty quickly. Traffic stopped before we hit MI so we weaseled our way over to get off and wound around the island and got on by Mom's house and onto the freeway and across going 50mph. Called Kristel and gave her our situation. Parked, went in (Kingfish), found Carmen and Kristel in the bar and chatted until our table was ready. We sat down, perused the menu and talked. Ordered fried green tomatoes and I thoroughly enjoyed them as well as the hush puppies. Ordered the macaroni and told the baggie story. Everyone laughed. We ordered chocolate cake and pudding for dessert and couldn't even eat it all; a shame. We were there until like 10. We had a lot of fun, then took off for home. Sos took off right away and I went in to find Eric on the couch. He told me about the food revolution. He was all riled up from earlier when I was in my underwear so he put the moves on and I allowed it. I was in the shower for a long time afterward and Eric fell asleep in the process. I played on my computer. Tax refund was deposited. Fell asleep. It was well after midnight.
Thursday 3/25, Drawing a blank on after-work festivities and dinner. I watched the Thursday shows and Eric watched basketball in the bedroom. He missed them all. I showered then got into bed and we watched part of Marriage Ref.
Wednesday 3/24, Had a frustrating morning including not being able to find my sandwich bag and calling Eric in a fit of frustration. We had a major tiff on the phone then he called to let me know later in the day to tell me he was going to Kris' to watch the game. I did stuff around the house when I got home and played with the dogs. Eric came home much earlier than I expected and we chatted for a minute about our earlier conversations. I ate a bunch of leftovers as well as cleaned out the fridge. We watched tv including the Wednesday shows. Into bed and watched Ugly Betty but was very tired. Went to sleep.
Tuesday 3/23, Better day at work. At home took the dogs out and gave them a snack and we all went out in the backyard and I continued trimming the holly and packing the yard waste full. Cherry came out and told me the thin cat wandering around is Petey. I told her we watched him in the window the day before. Back in the house and folded laundry, cleaned up the bedroom, etc. Eric came home as I was trying to get Nyx to eat her dinner but she didn't want to. I think she was feeling not so good and acted kind of weird for the rest of the night. Eric started on dinner and we talked in the kitchen about his work for a long time. Finally dinner was ready (marinated chicken, tortillas, hummus, lettuce, cucumber roasted peppers and onion) and we watched the Office. We watched BL and I couldn't stop reading my blog from September 06 and was reading passages to Eric who didn't think they were quite as funny. Kyle impregnating me and Susan and grabbing our crotches on the dance floor had me in stitches. After that then into the bedroom and traded texts and fb messages with Kristel who had a hilarious message to share with me from D*n. Eric promised dipped cones if she went through with it. So hilarious. Finally went to bed at 11.
Monday 3/22, Long day at work of going back and forth to Southcenter twice. Eric wasn't feeling good and was lightheaded. We hung out for a while after work and watched the thin neighborhood cat climb into the tree outside the bedroom window and get into the blue jay nest that was abandoned. Nyx wanted at that cat, and when Eric picked Brizo up to show her she started growling and the cat saw us and took off. Eric was telling me how to make dinner but I didn't want to and he didn't want to so we went to Chipotle instead. At home we sat in front of the tv and ate. Castor got up on the couch and settled right down. It was cute, the whole family up on the couch relaxing. We watched a few of the DwtS contestants then I jumped in the shower and Eric brought my robe in and got everything into the bedroom for me to watch GG. He turned the heating blanket on and turned down the bed. I watched my show then the slideshow on my computer came on of pictures from the last four years as I got into bed so I watched that for a half hour or so. Eric was passed out. The pictures were sparking memories so I went back to my blog and read some of the more memorable entries and ones that hold dear places in my heart. Sighhh. Finally had to cut myself off after 11 and went to bed.
Sunday 3/21, Eric was up before me and I went and sat on the couch with him for a while and ate breakfast. Eric wanted to text Kristel to get D. M*nson's number and did so I knew she was up and called her. She wanted to know the protocol of answering calls whilst the other person is in the bathroom. I told her it was fair game. I asked if she was going to hike or if she wanted to go downtown. She picked hike. Castor thanked her for that. I showered and washed my hair and Eric took off a little while later to go do his own errands and I heated up my sandwich. I didn't eat the whole thing because I would have felt disgusting. K arrived and we took off shortly after. It was raining off and on all the way up. Not looking good weather-wise. K fed me story after story on the way up which definitely helped because it poured on us for about 20 minutes and we were both tired and soaked. Stories of Zeph, D*n and R. I gobbled them up like trail mix. We made it to the top and it was all cloudy and we couldn't see anything but white over the edges of the cliffs all around us. Clouds. We took a picture or two, didn't dally and started the hike back down. I think we made good time. Luckily since the weather wasn't great there weren't a lot of people. No rain on the way down. Talked about sex. More talking on the ride home. Kristel got into the snacks when we arrived and I hosed Castor off in the front yard because he was filthy; he didn't like the cold water, but we made it work. We sat at the table and ate and talked more, especially about the perfect trail mix combination (me: 2 peanut, 1 raisin, 1 m&m; her: 1 peanut, 2 raisins, 1 m&m). She left after a half hour or so and I took a long hot shower. Put on comfy clothes and relaxed. Eventually fell asleep on the couch after reading Martha Stewart Weddings and listening to Mellon Collie. Slept for like 2 hours. Called Eric; wouldn’t be home for another couple hours. Started on work and Eric came home when I was in the middle of it and brought home a pizza (pep and pineapple) and made chocolate chocolate chip gluten and wheat free cookies. We sat and watched tv and ate dinner then had cookies. I watched DH in the bedroom. Eric came in after and we went to bed.
Saturday 3/20, We got up, ate breakfast, got ready and Eric loaded up P's pressure washer. I got gas then over to P's to drop it off. We walked two miles on the trail then home. We let the dogs out then took off again to run errands. First Super Supplements and used a coupon and got a bunch of stuff, then Safeway for the bank, into Redmond, tried to find a nursery, google was not being helpful; went to Wells Medina instead. Eric got the lawn stuff we needed then we walked around and looked at flowers and plants and blueberry bushes. Left, went back into Redmond for lunch and went to Claim Jumper; it's been YEARS since I've been there. We both ate half our lunches and took the rest to go. Stopped at Home Depot on the way home and picked up more lawn stuff then home. We both went outside and worked in yard; Eric in the front, me in the back. I took to trimming the downed hollies, then clipped off branches of the still standing holly by the lilac, took straglers off the pear tree and some other shrub. Talked to Cherry for a bit and had the dogs outside with me and they loved it. Helped Eric pull some weeds and plastic out of the beds and rinsed off the old pots that were Lily's. Went inside and started to relax then Eric wanted to go get some more stuff so we took off for Goodwill and took all the pots and dropped them off then to Ace. Back home and Eric finished the lawn and I think I did some laundry and inside stuff. We started Big Love and Eric had some dinner, I wasn't hungry, had a pear, then Kristel texted asking what we were doing and I told her to come over for dessert. Kept watching then turned it off and she came over. I had a little soup then pie and ice cream. We talked for a little bit then she got a text from D*n and took off to go meet up with him. She was only over for like 20 minutes. We watched the last episode of BL then I got ready for bed and fell asleep.
Friday 3/19, Eric asked if I wanted to do dinner at the house with Schuyler and Chrystol, which sounded nice so he made the call. I beat him home and was talking to Susan on the phone when he got home with his arms full of groceries to make dinner. We talked for a long time about everything then that we'd talk later in the weekend. Eric and I were talking in the kitchen but I got upset with his stance on buying shovels and all that so then that put me in a bad mood, even though it shouldn't have. He was making soup and a gluten-free blackberry pie for dessert. C&S were coming at 7:30 so I did stuff around the house and took a shower. Eric tried to figure out why I was acting so weird and in a bad mood but I didn't want to address it. They arrived and we chatted and started eating dinner, salad, soup, bread. Talked for a while then it was time for pie. No ice cream so Chrystol and I went to the store and picked some up. At home Chrystol and I looked up vajazzle on the net and found some funny videos because she didn't believe me. Pie was served. Tv was on and Chrystol and I fell asleep. A little before midnight they left and Eric asked me again if I was ok. I told him I would be better in the morning. Went to bed.
Thursday 3/18, Eric was enthralled with basketball in the evening. I'm not sure what we did for dinner. I watched the Thursday shows in the bedroom and showered. Zeph called twice since he was getting together with Kristel in PDX that evening. I need to call him back. Went to bed.
Wednesday 3/17, Eric had school so I did stuff around the house until he got home. Had chili for dinner and since our shows were repeats we watched Big Love. Watched Ugly Betty. Cramps for most of the night. Yuck.
Tuesday 3/16, Eric stayed home because he had some head cold / blockage thing happening and was going to go to the doctor. I arrived home a little early, and he was feeling a little better but not much. He took off a few minutes later for class and I decided to walk Castor and Nyx up to the field to run around. We did that for 20 minutes or so then walked back. I relaxed then fed the dogs, then started my own dinner. Had leftover chili then Eric came home and had gotten Sezchuan Chef and didn't even call me! Even though I'd eaten, I ate some of his too. Watched Biggest Loser, ate a pear, then ice cream. Climbed in bed after it was over and looked at stuff online. I was tired, Eric wasn't; I fell asleep. Had terrible dreams about being invaded by some cult group and being tortured by some guy with crazy eyes who was turning my head slowly until my neck broke. Ugh. Awful.
Monday 3/15, I was home early-ish and did some tidying then Eric came home after working a bit late. He started the chili and I helped by opening the can of tomatoes. We put it on simmer and took off for Costco to exchange BL. It was really beautiful out and still light around 7. We exchanged then went and got some other stuff. Salad, apples, pears, trail mix, etc. I wanted more but Eric made sure I behaved myself. We went home, popped the corn bread in the oven and settled on the couch to watch tv. We dished up and finished the episode of BL we started the night before. I went in the bedroom to watch GG and Eric fell asleep on the couch. We both went to sleep a little after 10.
Sunday 3/14, Eric took off early for his run and I slept in until about 8. I got up, took care of the dogs, ate some cereal then crawled back into bed to watch Project Runway. I wanted to fall back asleep after it was over but luckily Courtney called and we talked for a good hour and a half and she told me all about Abby Lynne how everything's been and I told her about the house and how we'll be going down there for a visit in June. It was really good to catch up and chat since I haven't in FOREVER. We hung up and Eric called and said he was on his way home. I dressed and got ready then he came home and we both started cleaning like mad and got the whole house spotless in less than an hour, including the kitchen, both bathrooms, sheets and duvet cover washed and changed, all laundry done and put away and vacuumed the whole house. Teamwork. We ate lunch then went to Marshalls so I could peruse, nothing I had to have. Then over to Safeway and grocery shopped and got a ton of stuff for $50, many sale items. I got a donut. Back home, put stuff away and gave Castor a whole apple and he didn't really know what to do with it so I cut it up and fed the pups. Eric took a nap on the couch and I watched some Jesus special on PBS about how he wasn't born in a manger, but in a cave basement. It was interesting. I also thumbed through my Martha Stewart Wedding and eventually fell asleep as well. Woke up, Eric started dinner, I did more cd organizing, ate dinner at the dining room table (balsamic asparagus, herbs de Provence chicken and mashed potatoes, mmmm). We started a Big Love episode and had ice cream for dessert. The disc was f-d which made me mad so we couldn't finish. Watched DH then into bed petting Baby Brizo and moving her over since she was taking up the entire side of my bed. She's so cute. Nyx sleeps in the living room by herself now; very odd. Looked through my Architectural Digest for a bit then lights out. Had a dream about Jennifer Aniston living in an identical room next to mine.
Saturday 3/13, Eric was feeling amorous in the morning so we did stuff that grown ups do sometimes then showered off and got dressed. I wanted a donut and since it was nice out we walked up to Westernco from the house which is about 2.5 miles each way and took Castor. It was a good walk but I felt sick after finishing my donut. Walked home and Eric ran downtown to pick up his race stuff and I fell asleep on the couch. He got home and I started getting ready then Kristel came over because we were having Indian Buffet at Spice Route. We headed over there and completely gorged ourselves while she told us ALL about her date with D*n O'Neill. I was laughing so hard. We all ate too much, then walked over to the thrift store so I could look at some stuff then back home. We sat on the couch talking and I ate girl scout cookies to satisfy my sweet tooth. She left around 2:30 and we were both tired so we fell asleep on the couch, Eric first and woke up at 3:45. We needed to get ready for P's surprise party so we did that, rolled out, picked up flowers and a card and over to her place. She was very surprised and having fun. Mom told me about her coming out with low cut top, shaking her jugs and asking C "How do you like this?" then spotted Dad and screamed. We were there until almost 7 then rolled out after singing happy birthday. At home we fed the dogs and relaxed. We watched Cops and I was still really tired so I went into the bedroom and watched Parks and Rec and Office on my computer and fell asleep at 10.
Friday 3/12, Eric and I pulled into the driveway one after the other and got the dogs situated in the house. We were running around doing stuff then went to QFC to pick up some stuff for dinner and I had fun busting his balls as we walked around the store. We walked out and there were two guys on skateboards playing their guitars and just riding around the parking lot and like scaring people. Weird. Back home, Eric worked on enchiladas and I worked on organizing my cds and playing music for him to guess what it was like Eiffel 65 and Len, stuff from a million years ago. Dinner was ready and we sat in front of the tv watching Big Love until midnight. I was tired.
Thursday 3/11, Meeting with client, up early, dressed up, to work early. Off early too. Eric called to say he would be staying with Kris and Michelle and watching some Husky game. First night in the house by myself. Off early, let the dogs out and knew I needed to take Castor and Nyx to the park so I packed them into the car and took them to the little dog park and Castor was being so weird and like chasing one of the Dalmatians there and growl / barking at him and the hair on his back was standing up; it was so weird and I didn't like it. I tried to keep him distracted but that only worked for so long. He started up again so I said I was going to take him home and the guy insisted he would leave, then Castor growled and snapped at this other little white dog. I didn't know what the hell was going on. All I can think is that I gave him a whole Reconcile during the day to help with anxiety (still chewed the ends off all the hemp toys) and that messed with his brain or something. I didn't stay much longer and Eric called so I talked to him for a while as I got the dogs into the car and home. I did some cleaning and relaxing and eventually made plans with Kass for dinner. Talked to Sos and she doesn’t' know if she'll go to San Diego with Eric and me to see Court's baby. Watched tv, snacked on Chex and waited for Kass to call and tell me to leave. They decided on La Spiga since Monsoon had an hour wait. Parked a million miles away, walked in rain, found them in the back by Kate's cleavage beacon. We perused the menu and talked and laughed and ordered, then the food starting coming out and we ate, ate, ate. We were laughing so hard by the end and being so loud the guy at the next table was smiling and laughing to himself. We decided to go to Poppy for dessert and all packed into Sunshine's Mini talking about Eric's damn air bass and how it turns Sunshine on. We ordered like 10 nutter butters, two cakes, caramels and the caramel corn and Kassie still wanted more. I didn't eat much. It was getting late so we packed it up and they dropped me at my car a little before 11. Rushed home, let the dogs out, texted Eric and got ready for bed.
Wednesday 3/10, Afternoon in the office stressed me out. Kass called to see if I wanted to do dinner, but it was Wedding Wednesday. Went home, let dogs out, tried to relax, ended up doing chores a bit, showered, snacked, made a salad then Eric came home. Chrystol was on her way and I talked to Kassie for a bit and we scheduled dinner the next night. C showed up and Eric hid and scared her when she came through the gate. We talked a bit then sat down and started researching tents, chairs, linens and color schemes. We got sucked into ANTM which I haven't watched forever. It's so terrible. Those girls are hideous (personality-wise, and in most cases looks-wise). C left at 10 and I ran to watch Ugly Betty. Eric watched tv in the living room for a while then came to bed and went to sleep.
Tuesday 3/9, No word from K or J on the sink so we're hoping we're good. I was off early and went home, let dogs out, did some house stuff then started on my bills / credit card receipts. Geez there are a million of them. Got Amex out of the way but haven't started on the Visa. Yikes. Eric came home and I made a big salad and had some gnocchi, he made a delicious sandwich. We watched BL and he went to bed by 9:30. Watched tv until 10:30 then to sleep.
Monday 3/8, Eric called and apologized for being in a bad mood the night before right before bed, over the sink issue. It was ok, I was in a bad mood about it too. I arranged with K and J to come over after work. We both got home early and headed straight over and were there for probably 20 minutes before J came home. We needed a part so we went to Lowe's and K was home by the time we got back. Eric fixed it, we think. We got out of their hair and headed home where Eric made some HH and it was really good. I ate a lot of chocolate for dessert. Watched GG in the bedroom and was really tired, fell asleep watching Seinfeld.
Sunday 3/7, We got up earlyish and had some breakfast. I showered and gave both little puppies a bath so now Brizo doesn't smell like a hamster cage. We left the house to go to the park for Castor to run around again then we washed him, which was long overdue. I called J and he said it was fine for us to come over and fix the sink; they were both going to be gone. We went over and needed to go to Lowe's. Castor started getting anxious so I stayed in the car with him when we got back to the condo and he was so amped up he puked on the seat. I was so pissed off. The sink wasn't going well, now this. I flung most of it out into the parking lot then cleaned the majority of it up off the ground with our newly purchased shop towels. I yelled up to Eric that I was going to take him home. When we got there he kept trying to eat grass, I put him in the bathroom to calm down. Took the little dogs out then took off to pick Eric up. He was done and we went home. We decided to go to Burgermaster for lunch, stopped at the bank / store and Eric brought back lemon girl scout cookies and we headed down to BM. We had fun with it and I finally got my burger fix. We went home after that and Eric passed out on the couch. I fell asleep for probably 20 minutes. I watched some of the Oscars or whatever. I finally woke him up after 3 hours and he picked a new recipe to try (gnocchi and squash with chicken). We went to the store and split up, then had to stop at QFC for the gnocchi and got some cereal too. Back home and Eric started dinner. I started organizing the cds, which is going to take me forever. I put on some random songs (Badfish, Do Right, Can't get you out of my head) and Eric and I danced around. It was fun, though the dogs didn't know what to think. We sat down and ate dinner and watched Big Love. We watched just the end of the awards to see Avatar lose, yay! Got into bed and saw a missed call from KW and the f-ing sink was leaking again, arg. I was in a bad mood. We went to bed not long after.
Saturday 3/6, I got up a little after 7 and took the dogs out, fed them, etc. Got dressed and loaded Castor into the car and headed for Discount Tire. Got my tires rotated then off to Marymoor to run around at the dog park then a bath; however, the dog wash place doesn't open until 10 and it was only like 8:30. We ran around there until after 9 and Castor had a blast. We went home and I had a pear then fed the dogs an apple. I promptly fell asleep after that for like 2.5 hours. Finally made myself get up at 1:30 and had some lunch. I laid on the couch for a while then decided to get some stuff done. I filed all my historical, and current I guess, mortgage docs and past files prior to 2006. KW called and the sink is leaking so I told her we'd be by the next day. I ran around doing different things and kept getting distracted by new tasks (finally finished organizing the dvds) but finally cleaned the shower which had been on my list for two weeks now, ish. Clean now though! Eric called and said he wouldn't be getting off early like he thought and instead would be back around his normal time. I showered and got dressed and decided to go into Factoria. As I was heading down 148th I passed him and called and sure enough it was him. I turned around and met him at home. We hung for a little bit then he said he'd go with me down to Factoria. We went to TJ Maxx (socks and hand towels) or whatever then Nordstrom where we both found shoes we wanted (of course) but we decided to sleep on it. We went home and fed the dogs then headed to have dinner at Chipotle, our go-to dinner spot. I wanted ice cream afterward so we went to DQ and sat in the corner booth and enjoyed our desserts (oreo cookie jar blizzard for me). It's always so entertaining in there so we sat for a half hour or so just watching. Back home and we watched some tv and I eventually watched 48 hours in the bedroom since Eric was watching something else in the living room. He fell asleep before SNL which was too bad because Zack Galafianakis was on and it was really funny. I made it through about half of the show and fell asleep.
Friday 3/5, I think I got home earlier than Eric and did all the usual after work stuff. When he got home he changed quickly and off we went to Costco to do some shopping. We got a lot of food. We got a pizza to make at home and Eric wanted a salad even though I didn't; however I ended up eating quite a bit of it when we got home. We watched Big Love and ate dinner. Eric had to go to bed relatively early because he was working early the next day.
Thursday 3/4, Same goes for this day; somehow forgot about it. I hate when I do that. I also hate updating this thing, so there you have it.
Wednesday 3/3, Talked to Mom about changing the PHX itinerary and now we're coming in earlier, no charge. Apparently I forgot to compose the rest of my day. Oh well. I’m sure it involved Modern Family and Cougar Town.
Tuesday 3/2, Picked up some Happy Traveler for Castor on the way home. The little girls were excited, as always, took them out and started cleaning up the house. Talked to Pam at the mailboxes (remember: Irene) then went to pick up a pizza. The house looks pretty good. I like the master more and more. Put the rug from the living room in the bedroom part way under the bed and it looks good. Not huge but really cozy and plenty of room for everything. Mom sent us our itineraries for Phoenix and we're both looking forward to it. Eric came home and we ate dinner and watched Office then I went in the bedroom and watched BL and played on my computer. Got rent check from KW, yay! Thank goodness.
Monday 3/1, I slept sooo well with the new curtains. So much better. I was out. I stopped at the store on the way home and Eric had texted that he had to work late. I picked up stuff for dinner and the week then home. I cleaned the kitchen up and got the bedroom tidied up and Eric called saying he was just leaving so it would be about an hour before he would be home. I was relaxing when Eric got home and he started on dinner pretty quickly and we were talking and eating before 8. He made breakfast burritos with bacon and eggs and potatoes and they were goood. I only ate two though I wanted more. We watched the Bachelor; ridiculous. Eric went to bed before Jake proposed then I watched the After the Rose thing then to bed by 11.
Sunday 2/28, I had some of Eric's bake for breakfast. We went out and measured how big the fence needs to be then dressed and went to Home Depot. I showered and got ready then had to seriously talk Eric into going to the mall with me to Pottery Barn for curtains. He really did not want to go but I was persuasive enough. We looked at the sale stuff and I decided to get a rug that was on clearance and was gigantic then he helped me pick out the curtains and we decided on the ivory linen. Fairly vanilla, but the master has enough going on that I didn't feel anything more was necessary. Used my coupon and off we went. Stopped in Teavana and looked at cast iron teapots. To the car, will call and home. Had some lunch then proceeded to lay on the couch forever and be lazy. I think I fell asleep too. Finally got up around 5 and started being productive. Cleaning, picking up and Eric and I got the rug laid out in the living room and I like it. It brightens the room up that's for sure. Not sure how yellow and bone are going to fare, but we'll see. Next was getting the curtains up and Eric started then I took off for dinner at Mom's as he continued. Droohv and Akemi were there and Mom was finishing the fondue. I ate too much. Big surprise. Next was dinner and the chicken was so good, rice too. I didn't gorge but definitely could have. They started a movie shortly after dinner so I took off. At home Eric showed me the curtains and they looked good and he even had the steamer out to get them wrinkle free. Watched DH and wound down for the evening. Went to bed shortly after.
Saturday 2/27, We were up early-ish and I had two bowls of cereal. Eric made this egg / cheese / potato bake for breakfast. I showered and called Auntie Heidi to see what she thought. We left about 20 minutes later and picked her up at her hotel and headed over to the Events Center. We parked and walked over chatting it up. We used our free passes to get in (Home Show) and started our perusing. We looked at all the booths and had fun talking and telling stories. We found Uncle Brad and chatted with him for a while before finishing our tour of the place. We went back and found him and took off to have lunch across the street at that Jim's place. I tried the Monte Cristo at everyone's insistence (I really wanted the grilled cheese) and it was ok, but just way too breaded and deep fried. Oh well. Tried something new at least. It was a nice lunch. We walked UB back then headed to the car. Dropped Auntie off at the hotel and told her I'd meet her back at the house. Kristel texted asking what I was doing so I told Eric to go to the soup kitchen dinner and I would hang with K. AH showed up and I took her around showing her everything and she had some good suggestions. We sat and talked in the living room for a while then she took off. I called K and told her to come over. She was hungry but I still felt gross from that sandwich. We went to QFC and picked up some stuff and I got pudding. We made that when we got home and both had some. K had some of Eric's potato bake and a salad. We decided to watch Quantum of Solace and finally figured out what the damn title means. We looked through magazines and talked throughout the movie. After it was over K took off pretty quick and I was tired and not feeling good again. Eric came home and it was around 10. My stomach was unhappy so I downed some mylanta, mmm. Went to sleep by 10:30 or so.
Friday 2/26, Eric wanted to go to a town hall meeting so he came home for a little bit and we joked around in the kitchen about getting frisky then he took off for Schuyler's. I heated up the chicken Eric made for me the night before. I put James Bond on and made some vanilla instant pudding. It was a nice little Friday night. Eric was home around 10 I think. We got in bed and Eric pulled me on top of him so I was like, Ok, I guess we're doing this. It was actually pretty hot. We did that for a while then showered off and climbed into bed. Eric was all amped up but I was exhausted so he watched tv and I fell asleep.
Thursday 2/25, Went home after work and had talked to Eric who wasn't working late and was going to be running with Kristel and Susan was coming over to hang until she needed to go roller skating. She was there when I got home and showed me her skates and went around the house. I had window guys coming to give me an estimate and I wasn't looking forward to it, but dealt. The guys showed up just as Eric and K came back from their 4-miler. It was a bit chaotic and one of the guys kept asking me if he knew me and if I was a teacher or went to school on the Plateau and all this and I was like, nope, none of it. Weird. I found out later how he knew me. MEB's ex who I'd met when she took me up to her house to give me the mirror. As soon as I figured it out I'm sure my eyes got all big, but I don't think he ever figured it out. I was in shock. Anyway, they gave me a bid and were very nice, but I don't have $10k laying around to replace four windows. K left while I was talking to them and Susan and Eric talked in the kitchen. They left and I told them the connection. Eric took off for the store and Susan took off a little while later after we talked about relationships. Eric got back and told me we were having fajitas and that he would bake the provolone, asparagus chicken for me to have the next night. I watched Office and we ate dinner, put in Big Love and watched two episodes. Went to bed.
Wednesday 2/24, I still didn't feel good but had a few things I needed to do at work and wanted to check my emails so I went in. Stayed about 3 hours then headed home. Got into bed and ate some chips and watched Cops. Started organizing bills and got quite a few done. Put on Cast Away and cried at parts; good movie. Depressing. I did a little dozing and waited for Eric to come home. Some window guy came by and wanted me to have an estimate done so I said ok. Back in bed. Eric came home. Fed the dogs, made dinner, sat on the couch, watched tv. Started a Big Love episode but then Kassie called and I was on the phone with her for an hour about her new house, Dad, Becky, Al Anon and her trip up here in a couple weeks for the closing. Eric and I finished our episode after having a long talk about AA and Al Anon. Went to bed around 10:45, I passed out after a little cuddling.
Tuesday 2/23, Had a derm appt in the morning and was put on the same regimen as September 08. Got the car after work and it felt good to drive it again and I'm pretty sure it's got more pep. Probably due to the spark plugs. I felt not great all day at work, sneezing, runny nose, etc. At home it got worse, sat on the couch with kleenex and constant sneezing. Eric got home from class and we went over to the other house to fix the disposal and I called Dad to ask him a few questions about it but Eric got it all taken care of himself. Yay! Out of there. At home sat and watched tv. Showered and went to bed thinking I probably wouldn't be going to work the next day.
Monday 2/22, Took the Montero in to have the brakes and blinkers checked, felt much better after that. At home Eric went to get a new phone then came back and we went to the store and shopped for stuff for the week. He went to pick up his phone after that. I watched the Bachelor and paid some bills. Eric fell asleep in the bedroom so I moved in there to finish watching it before going to bed.
Sunday 2/21, Tried to sleep in but didn't make it much past 8. Eric got up and was a crazy man putting stuff away and finishing cleaning up. I went back to sleep until 10. Kristel texted if I wanted her to come over and get food and beer. Yes! There were so many leftovers, even after sending stuff home with Sos, Michelle and Chrystol the night before. Eric and I went up to Ace and got some keys made a new knob for the closet at the other house. Back home to relax and then over to the old house to give KW the keys. That was relatively quick and we went home. Kristel and Mom both came over for food and we got rid of quite a bit of it. We all sat in the living room and talked about how Mom and Dad met and Rose (the band) and that girl whose eyes went crossed after dropping acid and going to sleep. I think K was a little shocked. They stayed until it was almost dark then took off. I'm not sure what we did but it was probably relax and watch the Olympics. We might have watched a few Big Love episodes. I watched DH then went to bed.
Saturday 2/20, We got up semi-early and headed out to Fred Meyer right away. Got most of the grocery stuff done, got stretch pants and headed over to the thrift store in the complex. Bought some t-shirts then over to Crossroads to see if we could find posters and decor. We stopped in the french bakery and I got a pain au chocolat to calm my nerves. We hit a few stores and nothing, finally got a WE poster at Sports Authority then home. I was tired so I think I took a nap or rested while Eric did all kinds of stuff outside. I worked on the inside a bit and was trying to get organized and cleaned; laundry too. I think we both just ran around all day and finally started getting ready around 6. Michelle and Kristel came over to help and get ready there. We got the remaining decorations put up and finished getting ready. Mom showed up with her boobs out and I couldn't believe it. Eric was running around like crazy, took the dogs over to the other house, got cds, working on the food, etc. Kristel told me Ryan was coming and I was stunned; didn't know what to say. Didn't say anything. He was the first to arrive, then Susan and Michael and Susan had hickies to complete the look. Michael's shirt was a hit with everyone. Sunshine and Kate came, Mandy and Luke, Dad and Droohv, Keemey and Carmen, Tony, and eventually Sos and Jake. There was so much food. Everyone just stood around and talked and Kristel's baby was a hit and people were putting it in the garbage and taking pictures and Eric made it smoke his cigarette. Later we gave it to Castor to play with. It was a successful event; however, there were quite a few people who said they were coming that didn't. Oh well. Priorities. Michelle, Chrystol and Schuyler were the last to roll out and that was around 2:00. We drove over to the other house and picked up the dogs and they were happy to see us and ran to the back door to go outside. Totally cute. Loaded them up, home, cleaned up a bit and went to bed.
Friday 2/19, Eric and I had a long talk after work about money and responsibility and all that and it ended up clearing the air of some things so that was good. He'd had a blow up at work over his paycheck not being deposited. Anyway, he skipped his run and we went into Issaquah to go to Costco. We had fun walking around and looking at stuff. Got a ton of stuff and spent a lot of money. Probably the most I've ever spent. Yikes. We went out and I got a piece of pizza for dinner and we stood around talking and watching people. He told me a terrible story about something he did to his mom when he was like 15 / 16. I couldn't believe he'd never told me. We went home and I think put stuff away and started planning for the party the next night. Relaxed and went to bed.
Thursday 4/1, Talked to Jess on the way home and planning to go roller skating or something for her birthday. It was a long day and I was glad to be home. I took the dogs out and gave them treats then started getting ready for a shower when Eric came home. He hopped in with me and we talked about our days. Our new big client making me feel like I'm an idiot and don't deserve to ask her questions. Meh. After the shower I felt lazy so Eric made the dogs' dinner and I lounged on the couch and watched tv. Since tv was all repeats we watched Paris Je T'Aime and Eric liked it though he grew restless toward the end, which I could relate to remembering how Aubrie and I were when she came to town and we saw it down on Queen Anne. It was 9 when it was over so Eric climbed into bed and I stayed up a bit longer and looked at stuff online, finished March's Architectural Digest and crashed out at 10:45.
Wednesday 3/31, Eric made delicious mac and cheese for dinner with green peppers, tomato and kielbasa (I had like, 3 helpings, yikes). We finished watching Black Snake Moan and Modern Family. I called Kassie because I wanted to tell her about Eric's encounter at the gas station and freaking out a couple filling gas cans. I called the house, no answer. They'd gotten into a fight and she was staying in a hotel so I caught her on her cell. We chatted about the issues on the table then moved onto convos about food and Kass and Sky giving Eric a small loan for a big penis implant. We were all laughing so hard. He's going to present it at Christmas for everyone to see and it will wear a santa hat and beard and he will show it off with a white glove and pivot from side to side so everyone can get a look. Eric was appreciative of their generosity. She's coming up next weekend to get some stuff settled with the new house. After that we talked and Eric was a bit amped and went into the living room to watch tv. Stuff about S' Mom and treatment and all that.
Tuesday 3/30, Took Castor to the old park and went around twice and called Zeph who updated me and told me about my SLC doppelganger. Home and Eric had done a whirlwind job cleaning up the place and taking garbage out, etc. I sent the electric bill to KW while Eric showered and we sat on the couch and relaxed. It started hailing and was all icy outside, crazy. We ate dinner and watched BL, though Eric checked out early to climb into bed. I went to bed by 10:30.
Monday 3/29, Home a little early and beat Eric which surprised me. He'd had an exhausting day at work and mine was better than expected due to low stress levels. I took the dogs out in between crazy rain showers. Got two new cds and one movie in the mail. I did stuff around the house until Eric came home and I told him my idea to go to Costco. He showered and we left around 6. Hit Office Depot and got some stuff then over to Costco where we got some stuff and when we emerged it was pouring. We ran to the car and laughed the whole way while Eric carried everything. At home he got the pizza going and got the salad out, yum, had two bowls. Watched Office and ate pizza. We put on Black Snake Moan and I watched for a while then took a shower and climbed into bed to watch GG. I'm feeling rather ehhh on it lately and if it doesn't get better soon I might cut it loose. Talked to Susan about a hilarious spotting of an ex who we'd just been talking about on Saturday. Eric fell asleep on the couch so I woke him up on my way to take the dogs out. Climbed into bed, paid some bills, balanced my checkbook and off to sleep.
Sunday 3/28, Eric was up early and I was up by 8. We both dressed and started busting ass around the house cleaning, picking up and Eric pressure washed the patio, walkways, brick wall and back deck, inside pool room ceiling (now a bright white!) and back stairs. I took off for some errands: pet store, BB&B, etc at Crossroads. Got what I needed then perused Half Priced Books for movies and cds but talked myself out of buying anything. Went home and had leftovers for lunch. Eric wanted to see Hot Tub Time Machine so we went up there for a 12:30 show. It was funny and we enjoyed it. We went to Safeway so Eric could get cash, then to Albertsons to shop and we split up to hurry the process. It was raining when we headed out. Back at home we may have napped again; I don't remember. I think Eric made something for dinner and that's when I woke up. Ah yes, a stroganoff, it was delicious with secret ingredients being Dijon mustard and sour cream. I ate too much. I thought I had a show on, but I didn't. I worked on my collage instead and went through tons of old magazine clippings and threw a bunch out. Into bed by 10 and asleep by 11.
Saturday 3/27, We were up early and I tried calling to see when my hair appointment was but they weren't open. I showered and dressed and Sean called while I did that and confirmed 11. We hit the road, found parking no problem, walked over to Sonic Book and I bought a Devotchka album then over to get my hair cut. Sean said I looked like a hippie because my hair was so out of control and asked if I'd been working the shave ice stand with Kassie. We chatted through the hour and a half session and in the end I left with shortish hair and bangs again. Eric and I left and headed up the hill to go to Barrio and called Schuyler and Chrystol to meet us for lunch. They were going to be a while so we parked and went in the Ferrari dealership and talked to the guy for a long time about the cars and how everything works. C&S met us and we had a nice lunch. It was sunny and beautiful. We went across the street to a home shop having a sale but didn't get anything. Went home and fell asleep on the couch then Eric got up and went to Ace and I took the dogs out and both Castor and Nyx were naughty and ran to the front yard. Susan was going to be over in a bit, I paid some bills then she showed up. I asked if she wanted to go out and run some errands. We went to All the Best: closed (it was 6:10), Entenmann's outlet: closed. Grr. We decided to go into downtown Bellevue to Las Margaritas for old time's sake. I had the cheese nachos then some fried ice cream, even though I wasn't hungry. We talked and had a good time. We left and went home where we got out the cookies (for Susan) and put in Whip It. Eric watched part of it with us. It was a cute movie with a cute boy. It was about 9:15 when it ended so we talked for a while then she took off. I think Eric was watching something, like 48 Hours, so I watched that and got ready for bed. Stayed awake long enough to see John Hamm was on SNL (repeat) and went to bed.
Friday 3/26, Talked to Sos after work about plans. Went home and showered and helped Eric do some cleaning, though he did the bulk of it. Got ready to go out then Sos showed up and we took off pretty quickly. Traffic stopped before we hit MI so we weaseled our way over to get off and wound around the island and got on by Mom's house and onto the freeway and across going 50mph. Called Kristel and gave her our situation. Parked, went in (Kingfish), found Carmen and Kristel in the bar and chatted until our table was ready. We sat down, perused the menu and talked. Ordered fried green tomatoes and I thoroughly enjoyed them as well as the hush puppies. Ordered the macaroni and told the baggie story. Everyone laughed. We ordered chocolate cake and pudding for dessert and couldn't even eat it all; a shame. We were there until like 10. We had a lot of fun, then took off for home. Sos took off right away and I went in to find Eric on the couch. He told me about the food revolution. He was all riled up from earlier when I was in my underwear so he put the moves on and I allowed it. I was in the shower for a long time afterward and Eric fell asleep in the process. I played on my computer. Tax refund was deposited. Fell asleep. It was well after midnight.
Thursday 3/25, Drawing a blank on after-work festivities and dinner. I watched the Thursday shows and Eric watched basketball in the bedroom. He missed them all. I showered then got into bed and we watched part of Marriage Ref.
Wednesday 3/24, Had a frustrating morning including not being able to find my sandwich bag and calling Eric in a fit of frustration. We had a major tiff on the phone then he called to let me know later in the day to tell me he was going to Kris' to watch the game. I did stuff around the house when I got home and played with the dogs. Eric came home much earlier than I expected and we chatted for a minute about our earlier conversations. I ate a bunch of leftovers as well as cleaned out the fridge. We watched tv including the Wednesday shows. Into bed and watched Ugly Betty but was very tired. Went to sleep.
Tuesday 3/23, Better day at work. At home took the dogs out and gave them a snack and we all went out in the backyard and I continued trimming the holly and packing the yard waste full. Cherry came out and told me the thin cat wandering around is Petey. I told her we watched him in the window the day before. Back in the house and folded laundry, cleaned up the bedroom, etc. Eric came home as I was trying to get Nyx to eat her dinner but she didn't want to. I think she was feeling not so good and acted kind of weird for the rest of the night. Eric started on dinner and we talked in the kitchen about his work for a long time. Finally dinner was ready (marinated chicken, tortillas, hummus, lettuce, cucumber roasted peppers and onion) and we watched the Office. We watched BL and I couldn't stop reading my blog from September 06 and was reading passages to Eric who didn't think they were quite as funny. Kyle impregnating me and Susan and grabbing our crotches on the dance floor had me in stitches. After that then into the bedroom and traded texts and fb messages with Kristel who had a hilarious message to share with me from D*n. Eric promised dipped cones if she went through with it. So hilarious. Finally went to bed at 11.
Monday 3/22, Long day at work of going back and forth to Southcenter twice. Eric wasn't feeling good and was lightheaded. We hung out for a while after work and watched the thin neighborhood cat climb into the tree outside the bedroom window and get into the blue jay nest that was abandoned. Nyx wanted at that cat, and when Eric picked Brizo up to show her she started growling and the cat saw us and took off. Eric was telling me how to make dinner but I didn't want to and he didn't want to so we went to Chipotle instead. At home we sat in front of the tv and ate. Castor got up on the couch and settled right down. It was cute, the whole family up on the couch relaxing. We watched a few of the DwtS contestants then I jumped in the shower and Eric brought my robe in and got everything into the bedroom for me to watch GG. He turned the heating blanket on and turned down the bed. I watched my show then the slideshow on my computer came on of pictures from the last four years as I got into bed so I watched that for a half hour or so. Eric was passed out. The pictures were sparking memories so I went back to my blog and read some of the more memorable entries and ones that hold dear places in my heart. Sighhh. Finally had to cut myself off after 11 and went to bed.
Sunday 3/21, Eric was up before me and I went and sat on the couch with him for a while and ate breakfast. Eric wanted to text Kristel to get D. M*nson's number and did so I knew she was up and called her. She wanted to know the protocol of answering calls whilst the other person is in the bathroom. I told her it was fair game. I asked if she was going to hike or if she wanted to go downtown. She picked hike. Castor thanked her for that. I showered and washed my hair and Eric took off a little while later to go do his own errands and I heated up my sandwich. I didn't eat the whole thing because I would have felt disgusting. K arrived and we took off shortly after. It was raining off and on all the way up. Not looking good weather-wise. K fed me story after story on the way up which definitely helped because it poured on us for about 20 minutes and we were both tired and soaked. Stories of Zeph, D*n and R. I gobbled them up like trail mix. We made it to the top and it was all cloudy and we couldn't see anything but white over the edges of the cliffs all around us. Clouds. We took a picture or two, didn't dally and started the hike back down. I think we made good time. Luckily since the weather wasn't great there weren't a lot of people. No rain on the way down. Talked about sex. More talking on the ride home. Kristel got into the snacks when we arrived and I hosed Castor off in the front yard because he was filthy; he didn't like the cold water, but we made it work. We sat at the table and ate and talked more, especially about the perfect trail mix combination (me: 2 peanut, 1 raisin, 1 m&m; her: 1 peanut, 2 raisins, 1 m&m). She left after a half hour or so and I took a long hot shower. Put on comfy clothes and relaxed. Eventually fell asleep on the couch after reading Martha Stewart Weddings and listening to Mellon Collie. Slept for like 2 hours. Called Eric; wouldn’t be home for another couple hours. Started on work and Eric came home when I was in the middle of it and brought home a pizza (pep and pineapple) and made chocolate chocolate chip gluten and wheat free cookies. We sat and watched tv and ate dinner then had cookies. I watched DH in the bedroom. Eric came in after and we went to bed.
Saturday 3/20, We got up, ate breakfast, got ready and Eric loaded up P's pressure washer. I got gas then over to P's to drop it off. We walked two miles on the trail then home. We let the dogs out then took off again to run errands. First Super Supplements and used a coupon and got a bunch of stuff, then Safeway for the bank, into Redmond, tried to find a nursery, google was not being helpful; went to Wells Medina instead. Eric got the lawn stuff we needed then we walked around and looked at flowers and plants and blueberry bushes. Left, went back into Redmond for lunch and went to Claim Jumper; it's been YEARS since I've been there. We both ate half our lunches and took the rest to go. Stopped at Home Depot on the way home and picked up more lawn stuff then home. We both went outside and worked in yard; Eric in the front, me in the back. I took to trimming the downed hollies, then clipped off branches of the still standing holly by the lilac, took straglers off the pear tree and some other shrub. Talked to Cherry for a bit and had the dogs outside with me and they loved it. Helped Eric pull some weeds and plastic out of the beds and rinsed off the old pots that were Lily's. Went inside and started to relax then Eric wanted to go get some more stuff so we took off for Goodwill and took all the pots and dropped them off then to Ace. Back home and Eric finished the lawn and I think I did some laundry and inside stuff. We started Big Love and Eric had some dinner, I wasn't hungry, had a pear, then Kristel texted asking what we were doing and I told her to come over for dessert. Kept watching then turned it off and she came over. I had a little soup then pie and ice cream. We talked for a little bit then she got a text from D*n and took off to go meet up with him. She was only over for like 20 minutes. We watched the last episode of BL then I got ready for bed and fell asleep.
Friday 3/19, Eric asked if I wanted to do dinner at the house with Schuyler and Chrystol, which sounded nice so he made the call. I beat him home and was talking to Susan on the phone when he got home with his arms full of groceries to make dinner. We talked for a long time about everything then that we'd talk later in the weekend. Eric and I were talking in the kitchen but I got upset with his stance on buying shovels and all that so then that put me in a bad mood, even though it shouldn't have. He was making soup and a gluten-free blackberry pie for dessert. C&S were coming at 7:30 so I did stuff around the house and took a shower. Eric tried to figure out why I was acting so weird and in a bad mood but I didn't want to address it. They arrived and we chatted and started eating dinner, salad, soup, bread. Talked for a while then it was time for pie. No ice cream so Chrystol and I went to the store and picked some up. At home Chrystol and I looked up vajazzle on the net and found some funny videos because she didn't believe me. Pie was served. Tv was on and Chrystol and I fell asleep. A little before midnight they left and Eric asked me again if I was ok. I told him I would be better in the morning. Went to bed.
Thursday 3/18, Eric was enthralled with basketball in the evening. I'm not sure what we did for dinner. I watched the Thursday shows in the bedroom and showered. Zeph called twice since he was getting together with Kristel in PDX that evening. I need to call him back. Went to bed.
Wednesday 3/17, Eric had school so I did stuff around the house until he got home. Had chili for dinner and since our shows were repeats we watched Big Love. Watched Ugly Betty. Cramps for most of the night. Yuck.
Tuesday 3/16, Eric stayed home because he had some head cold / blockage thing happening and was going to go to the doctor. I arrived home a little early, and he was feeling a little better but not much. He took off a few minutes later for class and I decided to walk Castor and Nyx up to the field to run around. We did that for 20 minutes or so then walked back. I relaxed then fed the dogs, then started my own dinner. Had leftover chili then Eric came home and had gotten Sezchuan Chef and didn't even call me! Even though I'd eaten, I ate some of his too. Watched Biggest Loser, ate a pear, then ice cream. Climbed in bed after it was over and looked at stuff online. I was tired, Eric wasn't; I fell asleep. Had terrible dreams about being invaded by some cult group and being tortured by some guy with crazy eyes who was turning my head slowly until my neck broke. Ugh. Awful.
Monday 3/15, I was home early-ish and did some tidying then Eric came home after working a bit late. He started the chili and I helped by opening the can of tomatoes. We put it on simmer and took off for Costco to exchange BL. It was really beautiful out and still light around 7. We exchanged then went and got some other stuff. Salad, apples, pears, trail mix, etc. I wanted more but Eric made sure I behaved myself. We went home, popped the corn bread in the oven and settled on the couch to watch tv. We dished up and finished the episode of BL we started the night before. I went in the bedroom to watch GG and Eric fell asleep on the couch. We both went to sleep a little after 10.
Sunday 3/14, Eric took off early for his run and I slept in until about 8. I got up, took care of the dogs, ate some cereal then crawled back into bed to watch Project Runway. I wanted to fall back asleep after it was over but luckily Courtney called and we talked for a good hour and a half and she told me all about Abby Lynne how everything's been and I told her about the house and how we'll be going down there for a visit in June. It was really good to catch up and chat since I haven't in FOREVER. We hung up and Eric called and said he was on his way home. I dressed and got ready then he came home and we both started cleaning like mad and got the whole house spotless in less than an hour, including the kitchen, both bathrooms, sheets and duvet cover washed and changed, all laundry done and put away and vacuumed the whole house. Teamwork. We ate lunch then went to Marshalls so I could peruse, nothing I had to have. Then over to Safeway and grocery shopped and got a ton of stuff for $50, many sale items. I got a donut. Back home, put stuff away and gave Castor a whole apple and he didn't really know what to do with it so I cut it up and fed the pups. Eric took a nap on the couch and I watched some Jesus special on PBS about how he wasn't born in a manger, but in a cave basement. It was interesting. I also thumbed through my Martha Stewart Wedding and eventually fell asleep as well. Woke up, Eric started dinner, I did more cd organizing, ate dinner at the dining room table (balsamic asparagus, herbs de Provence chicken and mashed potatoes, mmmm). We started a Big Love episode and had ice cream for dessert. The disc was f-d which made me mad so we couldn't finish. Watched DH then into bed petting Baby Brizo and moving her over since she was taking up the entire side of my bed. She's so cute. Nyx sleeps in the living room by herself now; very odd. Looked through my Architectural Digest for a bit then lights out. Had a dream about Jennifer Aniston living in an identical room next to mine.
Saturday 3/13, Eric was feeling amorous in the morning so we did stuff that grown ups do sometimes then showered off and got dressed. I wanted a donut and since it was nice out we walked up to Westernco from the house which is about 2.5 miles each way and took Castor. It was a good walk but I felt sick after finishing my donut. Walked home and Eric ran downtown to pick up his race stuff and I fell asleep on the couch. He got home and I started getting ready then Kristel came over because we were having Indian Buffet at Spice Route. We headed over there and completely gorged ourselves while she told us ALL about her date with D*n O'Neill. I was laughing so hard. We all ate too much, then walked over to the thrift store so I could look at some stuff then back home. We sat on the couch talking and I ate girl scout cookies to satisfy my sweet tooth. She left around 2:30 and we were both tired so we fell asleep on the couch, Eric first and woke up at 3:45. We needed to get ready for P's surprise party so we did that, rolled out, picked up flowers and a card and over to her place. She was very surprised and having fun. Mom told me about her coming out with low cut top, shaking her jugs and asking C "How do you like this?" then spotted Dad and screamed. We were there until almost 7 then rolled out after singing happy birthday. At home we fed the dogs and relaxed. We watched Cops and I was still really tired so I went into the bedroom and watched Parks and Rec and Office on my computer and fell asleep at 10.
Friday 3/12, Eric and I pulled into the driveway one after the other and got the dogs situated in the house. We were running around doing stuff then went to QFC to pick up some stuff for dinner and I had fun busting his balls as we walked around the store. We walked out and there were two guys on skateboards playing their guitars and just riding around the parking lot and like scaring people. Weird. Back home, Eric worked on enchiladas and I worked on organizing my cds and playing music for him to guess what it was like Eiffel 65 and Len, stuff from a million years ago. Dinner was ready and we sat in front of the tv watching Big Love until midnight. I was tired.
Thursday 3/11, Meeting with client, up early, dressed up, to work early. Off early too. Eric called to say he would be staying with Kris and Michelle and watching some Husky game. First night in the house by myself. Off early, let the dogs out and knew I needed to take Castor and Nyx to the park so I packed them into the car and took them to the little dog park and Castor was being so weird and like chasing one of the Dalmatians there and growl / barking at him and the hair on his back was standing up; it was so weird and I didn't like it. I tried to keep him distracted but that only worked for so long. He started up again so I said I was going to take him home and the guy insisted he would leave, then Castor growled and snapped at this other little white dog. I didn't know what the hell was going on. All I can think is that I gave him a whole Reconcile during the day to help with anxiety (still chewed the ends off all the hemp toys) and that messed with his brain or something. I didn't stay much longer and Eric called so I talked to him for a while as I got the dogs into the car and home. I did some cleaning and relaxing and eventually made plans with Kass for dinner. Talked to Sos and she doesn’t' know if she'll go to San Diego with Eric and me to see Court's baby. Watched tv, snacked on Chex and waited for Kass to call and tell me to leave. They decided on La Spiga since Monsoon had an hour wait. Parked a million miles away, walked in rain, found them in the back by Kate's cleavage beacon. We perused the menu and talked and laughed and ordered, then the food starting coming out and we ate, ate, ate. We were laughing so hard by the end and being so loud the guy at the next table was smiling and laughing to himself. We decided to go to Poppy for dessert and all packed into Sunshine's Mini talking about Eric's damn air bass and how it turns Sunshine on. We ordered like 10 nutter butters, two cakes, caramels and the caramel corn and Kassie still wanted more. I didn't eat much. It was getting late so we packed it up and they dropped me at my car a little before 11. Rushed home, let the dogs out, texted Eric and got ready for bed.
Wednesday 3/10, Afternoon in the office stressed me out. Kass called to see if I wanted to do dinner, but it was Wedding Wednesday. Went home, let dogs out, tried to relax, ended up doing chores a bit, showered, snacked, made a salad then Eric came home. Chrystol was on her way and I talked to Kassie for a bit and we scheduled dinner the next night. C showed up and Eric hid and scared her when she came through the gate. We talked a bit then sat down and started researching tents, chairs, linens and color schemes. We got sucked into ANTM which I haven't watched forever. It's so terrible. Those girls are hideous (personality-wise, and in most cases looks-wise). C left at 10 and I ran to watch Ugly Betty. Eric watched tv in the living room for a while then came to bed and went to sleep.
Tuesday 3/9, No word from K or J on the sink so we're hoping we're good. I was off early and went home, let dogs out, did some house stuff then started on my bills / credit card receipts. Geez there are a million of them. Got Amex out of the way but haven't started on the Visa. Yikes. Eric came home and I made a big salad and had some gnocchi, he made a delicious sandwich. We watched BL and he went to bed by 9:30. Watched tv until 10:30 then to sleep.
Monday 3/8, Eric called and apologized for being in a bad mood the night before right before bed, over the sink issue. It was ok, I was in a bad mood about it too. I arranged with K and J to come over after work. We both got home early and headed straight over and were there for probably 20 minutes before J came home. We needed a part so we went to Lowe's and K was home by the time we got back. Eric fixed it, we think. We got out of their hair and headed home where Eric made some HH and it was really good. I ate a lot of chocolate for dessert. Watched GG in the bedroom and was really tired, fell asleep watching Seinfeld.
Sunday 3/7, We got up earlyish and had some breakfast. I showered and gave both little puppies a bath so now Brizo doesn't smell like a hamster cage. We left the house to go to the park for Castor to run around again then we washed him, which was long overdue. I called J and he said it was fine for us to come over and fix the sink; they were both going to be gone. We went over and needed to go to Lowe's. Castor started getting anxious so I stayed in the car with him when we got back to the condo and he was so amped up he puked on the seat. I was so pissed off. The sink wasn't going well, now this. I flung most of it out into the parking lot then cleaned the majority of it up off the ground with our newly purchased shop towels. I yelled up to Eric that I was going to take him home. When we got there he kept trying to eat grass, I put him in the bathroom to calm down. Took the little dogs out then took off to pick Eric up. He was done and we went home. We decided to go to Burgermaster for lunch, stopped at the bank / store and Eric brought back lemon girl scout cookies and we headed down to BM. We had fun with it and I finally got my burger fix. We went home after that and Eric passed out on the couch. I fell asleep for probably 20 minutes. I watched some of the Oscars or whatever. I finally woke him up after 3 hours and he picked a new recipe to try (gnocchi and squash with chicken). We went to the store and split up, then had to stop at QFC for the gnocchi and got some cereal too. Back home and Eric started dinner. I started organizing the cds, which is going to take me forever. I put on some random songs (Badfish, Do Right, Can't get you out of my head) and Eric and I danced around. It was fun, though the dogs didn't know what to think. We sat down and ate dinner and watched Big Love. We watched just the end of the awards to see Avatar lose, yay! Got into bed and saw a missed call from KW and the f-ing sink was leaking again, arg. I was in a bad mood. We went to bed not long after.
Saturday 3/6, I got up a little after 7 and took the dogs out, fed them, etc. Got dressed and loaded Castor into the car and headed for Discount Tire. Got my tires rotated then off to Marymoor to run around at the dog park then a bath; however, the dog wash place doesn't open until 10 and it was only like 8:30. We ran around there until after 9 and Castor had a blast. We went home and I had a pear then fed the dogs an apple. I promptly fell asleep after that for like 2.5 hours. Finally made myself get up at 1:30 and had some lunch. I laid on the couch for a while then decided to get some stuff done. I filed all my historical, and current I guess, mortgage docs and past files prior to 2006. KW called and the sink is leaking so I told her we'd be by the next day. I ran around doing different things and kept getting distracted by new tasks (finally finished organizing the dvds) but finally cleaned the shower which had been on my list for two weeks now, ish. Clean now though! Eric called and said he wouldn't be getting off early like he thought and instead would be back around his normal time. I showered and got dressed and decided to go into Factoria. As I was heading down 148th I passed him and called and sure enough it was him. I turned around and met him at home. We hung for a little bit then he said he'd go with me down to Factoria. We went to TJ Maxx (socks and hand towels) or whatever then Nordstrom where we both found shoes we wanted (of course) but we decided to sleep on it. We went home and fed the dogs then headed to have dinner at Chipotle, our go-to dinner spot. I wanted ice cream afterward so we went to DQ and sat in the corner booth and enjoyed our desserts (oreo cookie jar blizzard for me). It's always so entertaining in there so we sat for a half hour or so just watching. Back home and we watched some tv and I eventually watched 48 hours in the bedroom since Eric was watching something else in the living room. He fell asleep before SNL which was too bad because Zack Galafianakis was on and it was really funny. I made it through about half of the show and fell asleep.
Friday 3/5, I think I got home earlier than Eric and did all the usual after work stuff. When he got home he changed quickly and off we went to Costco to do some shopping. We got a lot of food. We got a pizza to make at home and Eric wanted a salad even though I didn't; however I ended up eating quite a bit of it when we got home. We watched Big Love and ate dinner. Eric had to go to bed relatively early because he was working early the next day.
Thursday 3/4, Same goes for this day; somehow forgot about it. I hate when I do that. I also hate updating this thing, so there you have it.
Wednesday 3/3, Talked to Mom about changing the PHX itinerary and now we're coming in earlier, no charge. Apparently I forgot to compose the rest of my day. Oh well. I’m sure it involved Modern Family and Cougar Town.
Tuesday 3/2, Picked up some Happy Traveler for Castor on the way home. The little girls were excited, as always, took them out and started cleaning up the house. Talked to Pam at the mailboxes (remember: Irene) then went to pick up a pizza. The house looks pretty good. I like the master more and more. Put the rug from the living room in the bedroom part way under the bed and it looks good. Not huge but really cozy and plenty of room for everything. Mom sent us our itineraries for Phoenix and we're both looking forward to it. Eric came home and we ate dinner and watched Office then I went in the bedroom and watched BL and played on my computer. Got rent check from KW, yay! Thank goodness.
Monday 3/1, I slept sooo well with the new curtains. So much better. I was out. I stopped at the store on the way home and Eric had texted that he had to work late. I picked up stuff for dinner and the week then home. I cleaned the kitchen up and got the bedroom tidied up and Eric called saying he was just leaving so it would be about an hour before he would be home. I was relaxing when Eric got home and he started on dinner pretty quickly and we were talking and eating before 8. He made breakfast burritos with bacon and eggs and potatoes and they were goood. I only ate two though I wanted more. We watched the Bachelor; ridiculous. Eric went to bed before Jake proposed then I watched the After the Rose thing then to bed by 11.
Sunday 2/28, I had some of Eric's bake for breakfast. We went out and measured how big the fence needs to be then dressed and went to Home Depot. I showered and got ready then had to seriously talk Eric into going to the mall with me to Pottery Barn for curtains. He really did not want to go but I was persuasive enough. We looked at the sale stuff and I decided to get a rug that was on clearance and was gigantic then he helped me pick out the curtains and we decided on the ivory linen. Fairly vanilla, but the master has enough going on that I didn't feel anything more was necessary. Used my coupon and off we went. Stopped in Teavana and looked at cast iron teapots. To the car, will call and home. Had some lunch then proceeded to lay on the couch forever and be lazy. I think I fell asleep too. Finally got up around 5 and started being productive. Cleaning, picking up and Eric and I got the rug laid out in the living room and I like it. It brightens the room up that's for sure. Not sure how yellow and bone are going to fare, but we'll see. Next was getting the curtains up and Eric started then I took off for dinner at Mom's as he continued. Droohv and Akemi were there and Mom was finishing the fondue. I ate too much. Big surprise. Next was dinner and the chicken was so good, rice too. I didn't gorge but definitely could have. They started a movie shortly after dinner so I took off. At home Eric showed me the curtains and they looked good and he even had the steamer out to get them wrinkle free. Watched DH and wound down for the evening. Went to bed shortly after.
Saturday 2/27, We were up early-ish and I had two bowls of cereal. Eric made this egg / cheese / potato bake for breakfast. I showered and called Auntie Heidi to see what she thought. We left about 20 minutes later and picked her up at her hotel and headed over to the Events Center. We parked and walked over chatting it up. We used our free passes to get in (Home Show) and started our perusing. We looked at all the booths and had fun talking and telling stories. We found Uncle Brad and chatted with him for a while before finishing our tour of the place. We went back and found him and took off to have lunch across the street at that Jim's place. I tried the Monte Cristo at everyone's insistence (I really wanted the grilled cheese) and it was ok, but just way too breaded and deep fried. Oh well. Tried something new at least. It was a nice lunch. We walked UB back then headed to the car. Dropped Auntie off at the hotel and told her I'd meet her back at the house. Kristel texted asking what I was doing so I told Eric to go to the soup kitchen dinner and I would hang with K. AH showed up and I took her around showing her everything and she had some good suggestions. We sat and talked in the living room for a while then she took off. I called K and told her to come over. She was hungry but I still felt gross from that sandwich. We went to QFC and picked up some stuff and I got pudding. We made that when we got home and both had some. K had some of Eric's potato bake and a salad. We decided to watch Quantum of Solace and finally figured out what the damn title means. We looked through magazines and talked throughout the movie. After it was over K took off pretty quick and I was tired and not feeling good again. Eric came home and it was around 10. My stomach was unhappy so I downed some mylanta, mmm. Went to sleep by 10:30 or so.
Friday 2/26, Eric wanted to go to a town hall meeting so he came home for a little bit and we joked around in the kitchen about getting frisky then he took off for Schuyler's. I heated up the chicken Eric made for me the night before. I put James Bond on and made some vanilla instant pudding. It was a nice little Friday night. Eric was home around 10 I think. We got in bed and Eric pulled me on top of him so I was like, Ok, I guess we're doing this. It was actually pretty hot. We did that for a while then showered off and climbed into bed. Eric was all amped up but I was exhausted so he watched tv and I fell asleep.
Thursday 2/25, Went home after work and had talked to Eric who wasn't working late and was going to be running with Kristel and Susan was coming over to hang until she needed to go roller skating. She was there when I got home and showed me her skates and went around the house. I had window guys coming to give me an estimate and I wasn't looking forward to it, but dealt. The guys showed up just as Eric and K came back from their 4-miler. It was a bit chaotic and one of the guys kept asking me if he knew me and if I was a teacher or went to school on the Plateau and all this and I was like, nope, none of it. Weird. I found out later how he knew me. MEB's ex who I'd met when she took me up to her house to give me the mirror. As soon as I figured it out I'm sure my eyes got all big, but I don't think he ever figured it out. I was in shock. Anyway, they gave me a bid and were very nice, but I don't have $10k laying around to replace four windows. K left while I was talking to them and Susan and Eric talked in the kitchen. They left and I told them the connection. Eric took off for the store and Susan took off a little while later after we talked about relationships. Eric got back and told me we were having fajitas and that he would bake the provolone, asparagus chicken for me to have the next night. I watched Office and we ate dinner, put in Big Love and watched two episodes. Went to bed.
Wednesday 2/24, I still didn't feel good but had a few things I needed to do at work and wanted to check my emails so I went in. Stayed about 3 hours then headed home. Got into bed and ate some chips and watched Cops. Started organizing bills and got quite a few done. Put on Cast Away and cried at parts; good movie. Depressing. I did a little dozing and waited for Eric to come home. Some window guy came by and wanted me to have an estimate done so I said ok. Back in bed. Eric came home. Fed the dogs, made dinner, sat on the couch, watched tv. Started a Big Love episode but then Kassie called and I was on the phone with her for an hour about her new house, Dad, Becky, Al Anon and her trip up here in a couple weeks for the closing. Eric and I finished our episode after having a long talk about AA and Al Anon. Went to bed around 10:45, I passed out after a little cuddling.
Tuesday 2/23, Had a derm appt in the morning and was put on the same regimen as September 08. Got the car after work and it felt good to drive it again and I'm pretty sure it's got more pep. Probably due to the spark plugs. I felt not great all day at work, sneezing, runny nose, etc. At home it got worse, sat on the couch with kleenex and constant sneezing. Eric got home from class and we went over to the other house to fix the disposal and I called Dad to ask him a few questions about it but Eric got it all taken care of himself. Yay! Out of there. At home sat and watched tv. Showered and went to bed thinking I probably wouldn't be going to work the next day.
Monday 2/22, Took the Montero in to have the brakes and blinkers checked, felt much better after that. At home Eric went to get a new phone then came back and we went to the store and shopped for stuff for the week. He went to pick up his phone after that. I watched the Bachelor and paid some bills. Eric fell asleep in the bedroom so I moved in there to finish watching it before going to bed.
Sunday 2/21, Tried to sleep in but didn't make it much past 8. Eric got up and was a crazy man putting stuff away and finishing cleaning up. I went back to sleep until 10. Kristel texted if I wanted her to come over and get food and beer. Yes! There were so many leftovers, even after sending stuff home with Sos, Michelle and Chrystol the night before. Eric and I went up to Ace and got some keys made a new knob for the closet at the other house. Back home to relax and then over to the old house to give KW the keys. That was relatively quick and we went home. Kristel and Mom both came over for food and we got rid of quite a bit of it. We all sat in the living room and talked about how Mom and Dad met and Rose (the band) and that girl whose eyes went crossed after dropping acid and going to sleep. I think K was a little shocked. They stayed until it was almost dark then took off. I'm not sure what we did but it was probably relax and watch the Olympics. We might have watched a few Big Love episodes. I watched DH then went to bed.
Saturday 2/20, We got up semi-early and headed out to Fred Meyer right away. Got most of the grocery stuff done, got stretch pants and headed over to the thrift store in the complex. Bought some t-shirts then over to Crossroads to see if we could find posters and decor. We stopped in the french bakery and I got a pain au chocolat to calm my nerves. We hit a few stores and nothing, finally got a WE poster at Sports Authority then home. I was tired so I think I took a nap or rested while Eric did all kinds of stuff outside. I worked on the inside a bit and was trying to get organized and cleaned; laundry too. I think we both just ran around all day and finally started getting ready around 6. Michelle and Kristel came over to help and get ready there. We got the remaining decorations put up and finished getting ready. Mom showed up with her boobs out and I couldn't believe it. Eric was running around like crazy, took the dogs over to the other house, got cds, working on the food, etc. Kristel told me Ryan was coming and I was stunned; didn't know what to say. Didn't say anything. He was the first to arrive, then Susan and Michael and Susan had hickies to complete the look. Michael's shirt was a hit with everyone. Sunshine and Kate came, Mandy and Luke, Dad and Droohv, Keemey and Carmen, Tony, and eventually Sos and Jake. There was so much food. Everyone just stood around and talked and Kristel's baby was a hit and people were putting it in the garbage and taking pictures and Eric made it smoke his cigarette. Later we gave it to Castor to play with. It was a successful event; however, there were quite a few people who said they were coming that didn't. Oh well. Priorities. Michelle, Chrystol and Schuyler were the last to roll out and that was around 2:00. We drove over to the other house and picked up the dogs and they were happy to see us and ran to the back door to go outside. Totally cute. Loaded them up, home, cleaned up a bit and went to bed.
Friday 2/19, Eric and I had a long talk after work about money and responsibility and all that and it ended up clearing the air of some things so that was good. He'd had a blow up at work over his paycheck not being deposited. Anyway, he skipped his run and we went into Issaquah to go to Costco. We had fun walking around and looking at stuff. Got a ton of stuff and spent a lot of money. Probably the most I've ever spent. Yikes. We went out and I got a piece of pizza for dinner and we stood around talking and watching people. He told me a terrible story about something he did to his mom when he was like 15 / 16. I couldn't believe he'd never told me. We went home and I think put stuff away and started planning for the party the next night. Relaxed and went to bed.
