Tuesday 12/14, Eric was feeling better but had the day off to rest. He texted me at work to say he was making dinner. When I got home he was in the middle of it then asked if I wanted to play cards again so we did and I won all but two games this time. It appears whoever goes first wins. We sat on the couch and had dinner after playing several rounds. I showered then into the shower before BL started. I was tired but made it through the whole thing. Eventually I got Eric to come to bed.

Monday 12/13, Eric was up all night sick, it was terrible. I called P and said I would come in late and wanted to take care of him. He ended up not wanting (or needing, I guess) my help so I fell asleep on the couch for a half hour. I got ready, took off, told him to call if he needed anything and went to Mom’s for my phone. Headed into work, P was in a good mood, wanted me to go out and run some errands. After work I went home and Eric was feeling better but not great. He’d gone to the dr and they thought it was food poisoning. I found a deck of cards, and since he was restless we played Deuces Wild. It took me a while to remember the rules as Grandma Rose had taught me. I won the first and last game but Eric won every single other game, like 7 rounds. I made him some toast, made myself some pasta then he fell asleep. I watched last week’s GG, found some perfume I wanted from a million years ago and took the dogs out. Called AL and updated this then got ready for bed with Eric already long asleep.

Sunday 12/12, Eric was up early again but I slept in until 7:30ish. I got up and let the dogs out and started getting ready and did some laundry. Eric asked what we were going to do and I told him I didn’t know so he wanted to plan something so that I wouldn’t get the “Sunday doldrums”. I told him there was a good estate sale in Madison Park so he said he’d go with me to that. He’d already gotten the new part for his car and tried to put it in but didn’t have the right tool to finish, so he was still in a not great mood. I finished watching Scoop and really liked it. We left for Seattle and didn’t make it to the freeway before getting into an argument because I asked him to turn the dvd player off with the remote instead of on the player. Neither of us saw the other’s point and I that what it was really about was that he hates my nitpicking and that I have to micromanage everything. Sorry, I’m anal, and you’re doing something purposefully inefficiently! We didn’t agree but by the time we got there we forgot about it when we saw the size of the house. Huge. We were the first ones there. Eric went to the library instantly and I perused the rest of the house. I cleared out the collection of Architectural Digests, from the 70s, 80s 90s and 00s, and the son of the previous owner made me a deal. He was so nice and gave Eric a few books and told us all about them. When I got home I went online and the house is on the market for $4m. I wish I could have seen more though. I told Kass about it but she was having so many water issues at her house she never made it down. Afterward we went to Essential where I got a half sandwich and Eric got us some cookies. We sat and talked for a while in the window then took off for home. I decided to watch another movie since I was feeling kind of lazy. Royal Tennebaums. Afterward I fell asleep and had a nice little nap. When I woke up I got all the ADs out of the boxes and filled up the shelves in the laundry room with them. I discovered I had about 8 overlaps so I took them to Mom’s. Headed over there at 5:30 and D&A were there. We flipped through the ADs and soon Kass arrived. Mom made dinner and we had a nice conversation around the dinner table about India and D&As recent trip and that at the wedding there were only 1,000 people. The last two they went to were 3,000 and 5,000 (rented a stadium). Insane. Then he told us the price of real estate in some city (don’t remember) and my house there, square footage wise, would be $5m. Insane. After dinner I had a mochi and we started on the tree after I put on Bing Crosby. The tree decorating went well and everyone got along. D&A helped and D had never put on a Christmas ornament and was unsure how to do it. It went quicker which was nice. They loved how the tree looked and took lots of pictures. We packed up and said our goodbyes. Hit the store on the way home and soon discovered I left my phone at Mom’s. Shit. We got into bed and he wanted to watch tv on the timer which was fine and I went to bed a little after 11 after doing some updating to this.

Saturday 12/11, Eric was up early as always, went for a run, showered and made breakfast burritos. I didn’t get up until after he left for work. I was tired and didn’t feel like getting out of bed so I stayed in until after 10:30. I texted RH Eric to see what was going on but didn’t get a reply back. I ate breakfast, showered and got ready. I went to Super Supplements to pick up some Christmas presents then over to Marshall’s or whatever for Mom’s present. I went home and since I still hadn’t heard from RHE I put on Scoop, surrounded myself with cds to rip and bills to pay. I got about 45 minutes into it when RHE texted and wanted to get some food. I watched 5 more minutes of my movie (it was hilarious!) and took off for Seattle. It took a while to get to his place and he must have seen me pull up because he came out right away. We took off for Mama’s and chatted all the way down. It was the middle of the afternoon so there was plenty of parking. We only had an hour’s worth of coins for the meter and I told him to remind me if we ran over. Went in, ordered and talked forever. He told me interesting things about when he was younger and got in trouble with the law and got in trouble at band camp (hilarious!). I told him about when I got a bloody nose on LPC’s face while we were making out. He wasn’t surprised that I’d met him on the internet. He told me about the cougar he hooked up with when he was 19 and that she still hooks him up when he goes into her restaurant in KY. She said some weird stuff to him that was hilarious. He was so embarrassed telling me these stories, but I just thought they were hilarious. I had a lot of fun talking but eventually it was time to head out and he reminded me that we’d probably been in there more than an hour, and we totally had and thank god I didn’t get a ticket. We pumped 20 more minutes in and stopped into some punk record shop and looked at stuff then tried to go to Roc La Rue but they closed down early that day even though the door was still open and the girl was in there. Drat. We got in the car and he directed me to 99 and off we went to W. Seattle. I dropped him at Chris’ then headed over to Kassie’s. She had just gotten home and we talked and I looked at all the work Eric had done then Megan showed up and we all talked. Eventually we left and picked up Sunshine then up to CH to pick up Kate. We headed back down to Belltown, found parking and walked over to Tif’s thing at the Gibson showroom or whatever. I told Sean I found a little tail. We talked and perused the goods and left maybe a half hour / 45 minutes later. Everyone was hungry except me. We tried Boat Street - no go, called Spiga - private party, Book Bindery – table for one, not five, some other places that were also having private parties or no openings. Finally El Camino in Fremont could take us so we went over and sat right down. Ordered a bunch of food and I got the soup. We talked about all sorts of things and there was a lot of laughing even by the waiter. We finished up there like 10 or 10:30? Megan took us back up to Kassie’s with a stop to drop Sunshine then her and Kate rode back together. I said goodbyes, hopped in my car and went home. RH Eric had just gotten home and had put a comment that the bus sucks since he had to ride it home. It was raining really hard all the way home. When I got home Eric was on the couch watching SNL and Paul McCartney was on with Paul Rudd. He was irritated because his car needs a new starter and that he’d have to spend part of his day worrying about that so he wasn’t in a very good mood. I asked him if he liked my hair since I did it curly and he told me he likes it straight better. Ok. In a REALLY bad mood. I just went into the bedroom and went to bed. It was like 12:30 by the time I fell asleep.

Friday 12/10, The day went by pretty quickly and soon I was on my way home. I stopped at the bank and All the Best and picked up the puppies’ gift bag. At home I showered and got ready then waited for Eric to get home from work. We headed into Seattle to celebrate Kristel’s birthday at Paddy Coyne’s and found parking very easily. Beth, Vin and Jose were there so we sat down and ordered food and talked. I got some potato leek soup with soda bread (yum!) and Eric got a fish and chips sandwich. All of a sudden there were like 20 people there which was hilarious. Stefanie and Diana, Bethany, Mandy and Luke, V’s bf, Mandy’s friend and his bf, Andrew and two of his friends, Kristen and Bob and two girls from K’s running group. It was a loud group but it was fun. Eric and Stefanie talked about Wikileaks forever. It was fun but I didn’t want to go dancing; I was tired from the night before. I felt bad because it was her birthday but everyone bailed and there were only 7 of us left and we decided against it. I was tired and I passed out as soon as we got home.

Thursday 12/9, Eric was at work when I got home. I showered and got ready but didn’t want to leave yet because traffic was awful. I asked Kristel if I could come a little later; yes. I was tired and didn’t want to go but left at 7. Found parking no problem and went up and K loved my hair and that I was wearing heels. JP missed his ferry and we were digging trying to figure out if his “we” was another guy or a girl. It turned out to be Ricardo. We hung at her place and looked at RH Eric because she hadn’t seen his pictures lately then the profiles of her new bf from NY or NJ or something. He was cute but lives too far away. They had lots of flirty fb messages though. We left her place at 8:30 and found parking pretty close and headed in. We got a good table and waited for Josh and R. They sat down, we ordered and the talking and laughing started. The funniest conversation was “studio style” and how Josh cuddles with his roommate. Next it morphed to a band name and the new hit would be something about cuddling. Then there would be a Behind the Music where Josh would be played by either Ryan Phillipe or John Goodman, Scarlett Johanssen for me, Jennifer Connolly for K and maybe Horatio Sanz or John Leguizamo for Ricardo. The waiter would be played by JT. The boys picked up the tab which was very nice and we headed out before 11. I said goodbye to the boys and K took me back to my car. I drove home listening to Loveline and Eric was asleep when I got there. I asked him if I looked cute and told him R thought I was really funny. I got ready for bed and fell asleep.

Wednesday 12/8, I was up a little after 8, got ready quickly and we took off with the dogs for the vet for their 6 month checkup. Back at home I relaxed and Eric took off for Kassie’s. I watched BL until I had to leave for my dr. appt, found parking easily, went up, a bit of waiting, then had the appointment and everything looked ok but she’ll let me know. I headed home and met Eric there, had a little lunch then relaxed. We hung out for a little bit then the vet called to say the dogs would be ready within an hour. We went into Issaquah to BB&B where I picked up an xmas present for Mom then over to the bank to deposit some cash then over to the vet. Everything was good and they were ready to go. Back home where we hung out until it was time for me to leave to get my hair cut. Parking was fine and he was running a little late so I flipped through a magazine. When it was my turn we decided to go short and he started chopping. We talked about his trips, bathtub scene, my nice neck, Kass and the trip to Mexico (for the bachelorette) and other stuff I don’t remember. I was done after 9 and called Susan on the walk back up to my car. I told her about my appt and she still wasn’t feeling good. I went home and Eric was on the couch and liked my hair. I loved it. We got into bed and had to get back up to get something and Eric said he felt like he was cheating on me when I was walking away because I looked different. It was cute. Time for bed.

Tuesday 12/7, Hit my nose on a wooden chair at work and it hurt like hell. Thought I broke it. When I got home Eric was making breakfast burritos for dinner. I called C&S to see if they wanted to see Harry Potter and they did so we looked up movie times and decided on the 8ish at Lincoln Square. We got the house all set up for when C&S showed up so they could see how festive the house is. We put on music (Mormon Tabernacle) and lights then talked on the couch until they arrived. They appreciated our effort and we left quickly. Found parking, went up, bought tickets, found seats and there were probably 15 or so people but it was a huge theater. The movie was very good, finally, and was over by 11. Home we headed and C&S left fairly quickly afterward. We got ready for bed and Eric stayed up while I went to bed.

Monday 12/6, At home I thought about doing my video but decided against it when there were other things to do. I talked to Eric while he prepped dinner (humongous steak, whole carrots roasted and kale with onions and balsamic and probably other stuff) and Kass called to ask about Tahoe and I told her it was fine. I told her about some of the other stuff in the house that Eric had worked on. I put some laundry away and made the bed. Dinner was ready and we ate it in the living room and it was all very good. Eric filled me in on some things he's learning about the dog food and really wants to start making the dogs' food and feeding them raw. We'll see. We watched a little tv then I showered and put on my pajamas. We sat on the couch talking and laughing and cuddling with the dogs. Brizo seemed to like that her new jacket made her warm but I think she doesn't like that she can't itch her back and constantly rubs against me for a scratch which totally cracks me up. I went in the bedroom to get into bed and watch last week's episode of GG. Went to sleep after 11. Eric was still up in the other room.

Sunday 12/5, I was up at 9 I think and was in and out of bed, well, actually, on top of the bed because I didn't want to get too comfy and fall back asleep. Eric urged me to get dressed so we could get the Christmas tree. We went to the lot down the street and found a nice 7 footer that wasn't too full and wasn't too sparse, just right. We took it home and got it situated then took off for Target where we picked up some cheap ornaments and hooks. Stopped at the store and picked up some groceries then home. I cleaned up some dog crap and Eric asked if I wanted to decorate after he got off work at 6 but I wanted to do it then. We decided to wait. Eric made me a hot dog and I ate waaay too many potato chips. I settled into the living room with my computer, a blanket and the dogs to watch Vicky Christina Barcelona which I thoroughly enjoyed. I was feeling sleepy so I took a nap and Eric woke me up when he left for work. I went back to sleep for a half hour then got up and started getting everything ready to decorate. I found some ornaments in the laundry room closet, called Dad and got updates from him, cleaned out the drawers in the hutch, put the plants on top of the hutch, did some laundry, put the stockings on the fireplace in the living room from the den and other stuff here and there. I put on Christmas music and waited but Eric didn't get home until almost 7. He started the lights on the tree and I got some rice going for more curry (when will it be gone?!). We decorated the tree and took some pictures and Eric mostly took pictures of Brizo. We both ate dinner when we were done. Eric wanted to watch football so I went back into the living room to watch Stranger Than Fiction which was decent but I didn't believe MG's character falling for WF's, but other than that it was ok. Eric was in bed sleeping by the time my movie was over so I got ready and went to bed too.

Saturday 12/4, I slept in and didn't want to get up but did around 8. I got ready and headed out to an estate sale up in Newport Hills but all the good stuff was gone so I left empty-handed. Back home for a little while and talked with Eric then headed over to Mom's with a stop at the bank to deposit K's rent check. Mom and I looked at outdoor post lights for the front and I found some I like but they're fairly expensive so hopefully she can get some discounts going. We took off for Georgetown to check out furniture shops and found some interesting ones and lots of stuff for Kassie's place. The last one was my favorite. There was a policeman checking in on all the shops and flirting with all the women and it was hilarious. We headed back home and stopped to see Eric at work and got Breezy a little pink fleece coat then on the way to Mom's stopped at a studio sample sale which we had no idea what it would be and each bought a linen hand towel (mine with birds' eggs). I went home and made some rice to have with curry and laid in bed relaxing and ordering Christmas presents online. I got up and headed up to Crossroads where I picked up a donut, lotto ticket and some kitchen items for Eric for Christmas. Back at home it was 4ish and I took a nap, until 6, which is when Eric got home. He made some enchiladas for dinner and we relaxed and made plans for the next day. We watched Cops and 48 Hours or whatever then Eric fell asleep. I tried to stay up for SNL but couldn't make it past 11:20.

Friday 12/3, When I got home I did my video and showered and that made us a little late heading over to C&S' for dinner. We got there after 7 and admired their nutcrackers and Christmas snow scene. Dinner was served and it was delicious! Chicken, mashed potatoes and kale. For dessert we had homemade rocky road ice cream. We sat around the table for a long time talking and we persuaded Chrystol to watch Crazy Heart. Put it on and over half way through Schuyler popped popcorn and it was very good. Lots of butter and salt. We finished the movie and Chrystol liked it, yay! It was 1am-ish so we packed it up and headed home. By the time we were in bed and going to sleep it was after 2.

Thursday 12/2, I wanted to do my video but Eric didn’t so then I didn’t want to (stupid, I know) wjich made me feel kind of down and he told me his schedule for the weekend so it put me in a funk or something. I should have just done my video and then felt bad because I didn’t. Eric went out to hang lights and I showered and got into my pjs and when I came back in he was disappointed because he wanted to get out of the house and go do something. I was just a slug for the rest of the night, with moments of being restless. I ended up watching tv in the bedroom and falling asleep at 9:30.

Wednesday 12/1, I met Eric at the vet after work and they put her on meds and she’s back on the old food. Eric had dinner done when we got home. We waited for Kristel to arrive then ate when she arrived. We talked in the living room about DO’N and other adventures and her impending trip to Vegas. We had some cookies for dessert and Eric joined us for the conversation. She left by 10:30 and I showered and into bed. Tired. Nyx slept through the night thank goodness. I slept hard.

Tuesday 11/30, Stopped at All the Best on the way home for the old dog food. I talked to Mom for a few minutes and Susan came over to work out. We did the new BL video and worked up a sweat then into the kitchen and ate some tortilla chips. Susan left and I made myself a little enchilada, watched what I thought was last week’s BL but turns out it wasn’t; just a “where are they now” special, damn. So now I was behind when it came on tv. I was very tired and wanted to go to sleep but also see the end. Nyx was up multiple times again and finally Eric slept with her out in the den where she had more accidents. Time for the vet.

Monday 11/29, I got home and hopped in the shower. Eric made some winter enchiladas for me to take to Kristel’s. I took off and found parking easily. I met Michelle, B’s s-i-l and we started eating. B, Stefanie and Kristin, K’s yoga instructor showed up as well. More eating, lots of food and laughing then Kristel and I looked at old pictures on her computer. I need to cut my hair. We had a good time reminiscing and marveling at how different we used to look. I stayed until after 10 then headed home. Eric was asleep when I got home so I went on computer for a little bit then fell asleep. Nyx was up multiple times in the night and was sick. Poor baby.

Sunday 11/28, Woke up around 6:30 and got up at 7. Ate breakfast then back into bed for a couple hours. Took Nyx to the vet at 9:30, gassed up and stopped at the store for groceries. When I got home I cleaned the bathrooms and Eric and I had a little tiff about $ but settled it. I showered and washed the dogs then we both took off; me for the mall and Eric to pick up Sky. I picked up Kass’ bath stuff at Pottery Barn then stopped at All the Best for dog food and home. S&E showed up then Dad to pick up the pressure washer. Eric started lunch and I cleaned up and ended up on the couch relaxing and looking at stuff online. PB didn’t have Kass’ missing stuff available online. E brought food out and we watched football, though eventually I fell asleep. I talked to Kass and C who was on her way. We watched more football and when she showed and we looked at wedding pictures and I looked up John W. Gacy and he was a disgusting person. Ish. The rest were watching Dirty Jobs about forensics. They left at 10 and I got ready for bed and updated this.

Saturday 11/27, We woke up 8ish and went inside to have French Toast. Eric and I went into the motorhome and packed while everyone went for a walk. Aubrie had to go to work so we said our goodbyes then we sat around talking until it was time to go to the airport. We had a nice ride down with Mom and Dad then our check-in went very well but the security line was very long. We had quite a bit of time so we got something to eat then into the security line. Our wait at the gate wasn’t too long and our flight went pretty quick as well. Off the plane, got the bags, caught the shuttle over to the car (it was freeeezing), loaded up and headed to Mom’s for the dogs. They were very excited to see us and soon we were on our way home. Eric ran to the store for some dinner and dog food for the night; we had a little to eat and relaxed. We were both exhausted and ended up going to bed by 9:30.

Friday 11/26, We had to get up at 6 to go to Mom’s Jazzercise class which totally sucked but made us all feel better about what we’d eaten the previous night. We even got Dad to agree to do it, which apparently he’s NEVER done. He was a real ham and tried to show everyone up with extra weights and modifying some of the exercises. After we were done we went home to drop Alishia’s car then headed to Pipes for breakfast. It was pretty busy but we got a small table and all five squeezed around. I couldn’t eat more than half of mine. We drove home and showered and got ready to go do our Santa pictures. 4/5 of us went down and hit Barneys and Eric went off to do his own thing. I got some jeans and two tops and got some good deals. Alishia found us in the dressing room and we all put our tops on then saw Santa who put his hand on Alishia’s butt and the picture is hilarious. Eric and I sat for our picture and Eric put his hand on Santa’s. Alishia walked home and we went to a perfume shop then to the car where the valet was like “You’ve got the Mercedes SUV right?” and was totally serious. Scary. We got the correct car and headed home passing Legoland and Aubs showed us where she parks and all that. We hung at home for a little bit then all us girls headed out to Spin and Lou’s. Eric and Dad were tired so they took a nap. Aubs bought my Christmas present at Spin (RH poster I’ve never seen) and I bought some used dvds. At Lou’s I bought an older Okkervil River album and felt rushed to finish my shopping so only got through the clearance side then through the new arrivals in the used section. They’ve totally revamped and changed everything around. Back home and we got ready for the murder mystery party. Aubrie helped me with my outfit and figuring it out and Lish helped with my hair. People arrived and costumes were good but Kassie’s was the best and scariest, as usual. I didn’t try too hard to figure out who did it, but instead put notes on people’s backs because I was supposed to be a tricky genie, or something. The killer was Kassie and then she took over the world. Everyone took off pretty quickly after and then the drama started to unfold involving Pat. We stayed up late as a family and talked about what to do and now I have to talk to Court and I’m not looking forward to it. After talking about that we started telling poop and pee stories from the past and we were all in stitches and Eric couldn’t believe half the things he was hearing. Mom and Dad mostly shook their heads. After a while of that we all turned in for bed. We were tired.

Thursday 11/25, We woke up to the dogs barking and chasing cars through the neighborhood at both 4 and 5am, and finally caught them in the act. Brought Etta in but Bashful had rolled in something and smelled terrible. Nast. Eric was awake so he just got up and went and got him and Alishia registered for the race. When Kass and I got up and went inside Dad made pancakes. Dad, Eric and Kass tried to figure out how the dogs were getting out and found a couple escape points. Aub had to work until 3 so that sucked but at least it was a short day for her. I wanted to go for a hike with Eric after he was back from the run but then lost my motivation. Food was being served up after I got out of the shower but I wasn’t hungry. I didn’t eat for a while but finally started snacking. There was football and Kass was waiting for the cranberry sauce so we couldn’t leave to go see Aub until she was done. By the time it was done it was too late to go over so we continued to sit around. She came home and ate and eventually changed and surprisingly dinner was ready a little after 6. It was a Thanksgiving miracle! Dinner was nice and very tasty. All the kids helped clean up and we sat in the family room and had dessert. People slowly peeled off for bed or whatever and we watched James Bond for a little bit then the rest of us turned in to bed. It was early, but felt late. Like 10:30 or something ridiculous.

Wednesday 11/24, Didn’t hear Dad and Eric leave for racing. We were up by 8 maybe. Went in and waited on breakfast since I assumed we would go to Café Elyse, but we didn’t. We ended up sitting on Aubrie’s new couch in the living room and talking forever and Aub feels the same way about design as Mom, which isn’t how Kass and I feel. It’s ok, just different. Eventually I had some breakfast then we got ready to take Aubrie to her class. Dropped her off then set out to find lunch and found the wonderful Café Chloe. We both got soup, Kass a salad, pomme frites with three dipping sauces and a bacon / onion tart. It was all super good and we ordered an English cheddar and apple grilled cheese to go for Aubrie. We were a little late getting out of there to get back to pick her up but it was fine since we didn’t have anywhere to be. Back to downtown SD to explore. There isn’t much to look at unfortunately and we ended up just walking around and not going in anywhere since there was nothing to go in to. Back to the car and off we went to see Aubrie’s new condo. It’s really big and minus the carpet, it is in really good shape. We looked around and I found a place for the pictures and soon we left. Drove home and hung out until it was time to go to meet Dad and E for dinner at the Wokery. We had a nice dinner and lots of food, though I didn’t overeat. Afterward we went to Alishia’s for dessert and to see her place which was all decorated for Christmas. It was fun to sit around and talk and the adults all left and we stayed behind for a little while then took off. Eric and I went into bed when we got home and we watched a few youtube videos (“then I saw his penis out” and Mr. T fashion show) before going to bed.

Tuesday 11/23, Eric was up at 2:45 and me at 3:30 and we quickly got ready and B peed outside which was good, especially since there was a ton of snow on the ground. We got the car squared away and rolled out at 4, drove a max speed of 40mph to the airport, left the car at the lot, caught the shuttle, got to the airport at 5 and saw the line of hundreds of people waiting to check their bags and walked forever to the end of it. What a nightmare. Finally got that done then into the security line and that was really long but luckily moving quickly. Toward the end we got in a slow line so that was frustrating but we avoided the body scan and pat down and soon were on our way to our gate. We made it to the gate 13 minutes before they started boarding and the gate was super empty, despite the attendants saying the flight was full. We boarded and the plane was freezing with flight attendants wearing parkas, hats and gloves. The flight was half empty. People either couldn’t make it to the airport or through security and the bag check in time. The flight was uneventful and I fell asleep for a little bit. When we landed it was nice and warm and we got our luggage quickly and were soon on our way with Mom. Stopped by a consignment shop and I found some awesome chairs for super cheap that I’ve seen new on craigslist for $800 a piece. The chrome needed to be refinished but they were still a steal. I also got a call from the dr. with not great news, but it’s not the end of the world. We headed home and I ate some cereal, said hi to dad and Aubrie. It was her birthday, the big 2-0. She left for class and Dad for work and the rest of us headed to pick up Lish at work to go to lunch. We went to a sandwich shop and had a nice lunch but the people were definitely interesting. Eric really liked the guy behind the counter. We dropped Lish off and headed home and I knew Court would be there soon but wanted to shower. I hopped in and Dad A called to say he couldn’t catch Nyx and all this drama and there was nothing I could do because I wasn’t there so that was frustrating. I just sat and huddled in the shower wanting to hang up then Court called and was there so I told her I’d be down soon. I could hear Grandma and Papa had arrived. I got dressed and Dad called back to say he had them both and was heading home. I went down and Abby Lynne is so cute and animated. We had fun playing and talking. Eric and Mom came home, then Aubs who was super excited to see the baby and lastly Dad. She loved the balloons and Cookie. As it got later toward dinner Court took off and we waited for Kass to show up but it was a surprise to Aubs. We relaxed in the family room and watched tv I think until she did then we all sat down around the dining room table and had a nice dinner. Lots of laughing and chatter. We had dessert pizza for dessert and sang happy birthday. I talked to Aubrie about her present earlier in the day and showed her because Mom had said they wouldn’t go in her house so that made me mad and I was irritated that there wasn’t any wiggle room for working them in and that everything had to be matchy matchy. Whatevs. If she didn’t want them I’d just keep them. After dinner I think we went to bed pretty early with me and Kass in the back of the motorhome because Eric was getting up before 5.

Monday 11/22, Snow, snow, snow. Took forever to get out of Issaquah and to the house but luckily Eastgate was like a ghost town. I did fine in the car and was glad to see that Eric had completely cleared the driveway, walkway and sidewalk in front of the house of the snow and ice, as well as put up Christmas lights. I finished packing and did some laundry and Eric made dinner with the food we had in the fridge. I put some things away and finished getting the dogs’ bag packed and tried to tie up some loose ends around the house. We went to bed early, like 9:30 because we had to be up at 3:30 to go to the airport.

Sunday 11/21, I was up early and expecting to hang with RH Eric but he was working so I told him to call me later. I went out to get my oil changed and got some other things done then up to Kassie’s house to see Eric’s progress and go to Earthwise. We looked through and bought some things then back to K’s and I took off. At home I watched Reader and that was depressing and after it was over we took the dogs for a walk and it was freezing. RHE texted asking if I wanted to meet up at a sports bar or something but I decided I didn’t feel like it and asked for a rain check. Eric watched the football game but then he ditched and we went to Fred Meyer so he could get some new jeans and ended up with new green Nikes as well. Mom called as we were leaving and we talked about our trip down. Eric tried his pants on and he looked cute. I probably took a nap at some point during the day, but I don’t really remember. I think I spent most of the evening packing.

Saturday 11/20, I was so tired and didn’t want to be waking up at 7, but that’s what happened. Eric was up and sprightly earlier than that and headed out to Kassie’s to work. I slept a bit longer and eventually got up to feed the dogs and get ready for the day. I had two estate sales I wanted to hit so I dressed and headed out to the first one in Newport / Renton. It was a smoker’s house, ish. I bought a little Christmas house with a light inside and a blown glass ornament. I headed to the next one in a house I loved! Totally mid century and a bit more Asian influence with the chimney adornment. I went through and found a headboard I liked, though it was a king. I ended up buying it for a steal but I’m now not sure what I’m going to do with it since I want a higher bed in the master and it’s too big, in my opinion, for the third bedroom. Maybe sell it for a profit? Not sure. I called Dad and he said I could borrow his car so I told Eric to meet me over there at noon. I went home and let the dogs out and had a little snack then set out for MI. We hopped in Dad’s car and off we went. I was in a not great mood because I think I was tired and also because I think Eric was annoyed he had to come help me, though he didn’t say anything to suggest that. We got to the house and Eric knew why I liked it and it had similar rooflines to our house. We went in, grabbed it, the lady tried to sell me the dresser and out we went. Dropped it off at home then took Dad’s car back, headed over to the condo to fix the faucet and checked off one of three issues; the rest will have to wait until we’re back from vacation. Toby kept us company. Back home and I was tired but I had a little lunch first then laid down. Eric didn’t wake me up so I slept for 2+ hours and it was dark when I woke up. I called Eric who had gone out to run errands since I was sleeping all afternoon and he said he’d be home in 20 and we made plans for our evening. We pretty much left when he got home and headed up to Crossroads to grab a few things (curtain rings, rug for Kass, lotto tickets, new Moondoggies album) and have dinner. It was our big night out and I pointed it out as we ate dinner and it was kind of cute. There is so much energy there it’s insane. They also had a reggae band. We took off for Belle Square and I stopped to return my gel at Whole Foods then on to the mall. I finally used up my gift certificate for Crate and Barrel and also had a 15% off coupon so I got the stockings and tree skirt then we headed into the mall to Pottery Barn where I found the bath hardware I think we should get for Kass. We watched some people do the kinect which was amusing then got ice cream and sat and people watched. We also stopped in the new art gallery and there was one painting I loved by Freda something and it was a lobster. I loved it! We headed back to the car and went home. Eric channel surfed when we got home and eventually I climbed into bed and waited for SNL to start. I stayed up for all of it and went through emails and went to bed.

Friday 11/19, After finishing at CC’s I stopped by Kass’ and saw the progress Eric is making. I headed home to avoid traffic and talked to Chrystol about plans for coming over. Eric came home and I hopped in the shower then he joined me and got fresh, which I allowed. We got all cleaned up and dressed and they showed up not long after. We’d missed the tree lighting and Sea Gals so we sat in the living room and talked until 8ish. C reminded us that we should probably get some dinner and we decided on Greek. We bundled up and set out for Garlic Crush. It was freezing outside. I was so sore from my workout and every time I stood up or walked it was very painful. I’m so out of shape. We got the only open table, at the back. Ordered and ate and it was just as good as the last time, but this time I got the gyro. It was after 9 by the time we headed out and made our way through downtown Bellevue. We drove by Bravern and saw the Christmas tree then over to Whole Foods for a little dessert and so C could help me pick out some muscle medicine. We were there for a while and I got a mini cheesecake and a tube of muscle gel. Back at the house Eric made coffee and the boys ate biscotti while I had a little of my cheesecake and C ate her chocolate mousse cup. We moved into the living room and flipped between the late night talk shows. I was super sleepy. Around 2 they headed out and I couldn’t believe it was that late. By the time I got ready for bed it was 2:30 and I crashed out.

Thursday 11/18, I worked out with my new BL video and I was already sore but after that, I was done. Kristel was going to come over for philly cheesesteak sandwiches and yam fries for dinner but she was sick so cancelled. We watched tv and our Thursday shows then I showered and got ready for bed since I had to be up early the next morning to be at CC’s.

Wednesday 11/17, I got home and did some things around the house, made some phone calls and talked to Eric until Susan got there for our workout. I was ready to go and we started stretching then did the BL workout and I knew I’d be sore the next day. Susan took off not long after we finished and I dished up dinner. Sunshine arrived with the Boo and we sat and chatted and mediated the dogs until she left a little before 10. I showered and got ready for bed.

Tuesday 11/16, Work went by quickly, went home, Eric was working his first day at MB, I putzed on the internet, then paid bills, more laundry, played with the dogs, de-cluttered, fed the dogs and ironed my spray paint shirt in preparation to wash it. I talked to Eric about his first day on the phone then dished up dinner. He came home and we continued talking then I watched BL and looked at stuff online. Eric fell asleep so I went into the bedroom to finish it, updated this, got ready for bed and watched Seinfeld.

Monday 11/15, P was out of the office and there was a lot of activity with the construction guys milling around and Dale was back too. Eric finished up the painting. At home I started some laundry, we talked about Kassie’s house and the progress he made there then Chrystol called about Costco and Eric left to pick up the Chinese food. I told her I’d call her back when I talked to him. We ate dinner and watched tv and C&S decided not to come over the next day. Watched a little DwtS then hopped in the shower. Transferred some more laundry and Eric took off for a run. Updated this and listened to music.

Sunday 11/14, Eric got me up early to go to the estate sale, which surprised me because I’d had nightmares all night that we’d missed it. We went, got the pictures, went home and I got ready to go to brunch with Kristel and Ky. We had a lot of fun and ended up at Castle. I dropped them both at their houses then went home and fell asleep on the couch watching SNL episodes I’d missed. I got ready to go to Sunshine’s party, took off and talked to dad on the way to W. Seattle. I stayed for a little while then headed home and ate dinner. Eric and I watched more SNL.
