Thursday 12/15, I got a call that my lenses were in so made an appointment for the next day. I think I talked to Mom a few times. I watched the Thursday night shows and did some xmas shopping online. Eric took Lucia to the vet for the front of her neck and got some meds to clear up the rash. They worked well and I took the shampoo back on Monday.

Wednesday 12/14, I had the day off. I was up by 8 and got up and took my time getting ready. I had my eye appointment then went up to BB&B to get Alix some presents then Common Folk where I found a ton of ornaments, then Super Supplements and home. Eric was already doing stuff and put a new door on the crawlspace under the house. I put presents away in the back bedroom, cleaned up my bathroom and went out to look at Eric’s handiwork. We took Lucia to Mud Bay and she did well. Mom called to tell me that there was an email to P and that there might be residual fallout. We dropped Lucia at home then went down to Glassybaby to get Auntie Heidi a present. We went home and Eric went to work. I took Clancy and Nyx for a walk then Lucia. I worked on getting the back bedroom made back up and got some other laundry put away. Blair was over right after work and we took a walk with Lucia and Maya and she did well. We did some stuff inside and she continued to do ok, though she had a little reaction when I was holding her. Blair left and I felt exhausted. Talked to Eric then Alix and told her to come over. We went and got a pizza and watched tv while eating dinner. Eric was home by 9:30 and Alix left shortly after. I got into bed by 10 and fell asleep watching tv.

Tuesday 12/13, Blair asked if she could come over 2-3 times per week to work with Lucia. I got home a little early to fill Eric in and get the dogs all situated. Eric stayed in the bedroom with the dogs to keep them quiet. Blair took Lucia on a walk and we fed the dogs and took them back into the bedroom and waited for a report on Lucia’s situation. The news was good and she was going to be back over the next night. We fed Lucia and Eric stayed with her in the den while I kind of watched BL in bed and relaxed.

Monday 12/12, P was out of the office all day and I got to take home treats from a vendor, yay! I went to a couple antique shops to find old B&W photos for Kass and Sky. I found one for Sky (lumberjack photo). I went home and Eric had meatloaf, mashed potatoes, homemade gravy from the meatloaf drippings and green beans waiting for me. I ate right away even though it was barely 6. I watched tv and had dessert and soon Eric left to go work out with Peter. I watched my shows, folded laundry and eventually updated this. Half-watched Fear Factor then Eric came home and told me how his workout went. I got into bed and crashed.

Sunday 12/11, I didn’t wake up until almost 9. Eric fed the dogs while I lazed in bed. I finally got up and dressed, knowing I had some things to get done. Eric left for work and I finished decorating the Christmas tree and got the living room put back together. I did some laundry and washed comforters and sheets and started getting the back guest bedroom put back together. I called Kass and talked with her for a while about presents and festivity scheduling. Eric beeped in and had some herbal remedies for Nyx and her liver. I took Clancy and Lucia for a long walk around the neighborhood and Lucia did pretty well. I took a shower and got ready and headed out a little before 4, stopped at Walgreen’s on the island for a birthday card for Kristel and went and picked Eric up at work. We went to Peter and Stef’s to get Eric’s coat and they invited us up for quinoa and more desserts. We both had some quinoa but no dessert. Dinner reservations were at 5 but we ended up not leaving until 5. We talked and talked and it was nice to see them again since we’d had to leave early the evening before. We got down to Madison Park, found Independent and we weren’t the last thank goodness. Kirsten M. was there along with Kristel and her parents. Hugs and chatting then Mandy and Luke arrived and lastly Bethany and co. We all talked and ate and had fun. We told stories about Kristel and I told about driving around in the Corolla in Tacoma singing Backstreet Boys and harmonizing. The other I told was after we graduated and I stayed at her place and we ate so much pound cake we made ourselves sick. We sang happy birthday and ate cake and cake pops. We left at 8 and went back to MI and I dropped Eric off at his car and went to the store. He went home to give Nyx her medicine and get the dogs situated. I put some more laundry away when I got home and Eric admired the tree. We worked with Lucia and used Brizo as a distraction and she did pretty well. We made up the bed and I climbed in and went to sleep shortly after.

Saturday 12/10, Eric was up early and got the dogs all squared away. I looked up where to get our tree and we found a place, though it was more than I wanted to spend but it’s a good tree. Eric and I got in a fight on the way home about Kassie so that was fun. When we got home he stalked off to his car and went off on a joyride. I got the tree off the car, inside and set up in the spot. I got some water under it, moved the little speaker into place and moved the big one out. We stayed on opposite ends of the house for a couple hours. I went up to Ace to get more xmas lights and a little xmas house (barn with cow). I showered and while checking email Chrystol called and invited us to their place for dinner and Christmas Vacation; I told her we weren’t speaking at the moment but that we probably would. I went and talked to Eric from the living room window since he was in the back breaking wood apart for the fireplace and we worked everything out. I called Chrystol a little later and said we were on and back to speaking. We got ready for Peter and Stef’s kaffeeklatsch party and headed out shortly before 3. We arrived along with Kristina and Mike. There was so much food and desserts; we talked and the food was delicious. We stayed until almost 6 then took off for home. We gave Nyx her meds and fed the other dogs, went up and got more xmas lights, finished putting them on the tree and started with the ornaments. We fed Nyx then took off for S&C’s. We arrived right at 8 and talked with S&C for a long time and told them all about our fight and they told us about their fights this week. We have both been on a roll this week. We ate dinner and watched the movie and afterward watched videos online and talked about me being a crazy dog lady. We left around midnight and made it home in time to watch some SNL before going to bed.

Friday 12/9, We woke up late so Eric rushed the little dogs to the vet. I got a call at work that Nyx had elevated enzyme levels in her liver; great. She was ok enough to go under for her dental though. After work I stopped into PCC for hamburger buns and a tomato for burgers then went in and picked up the dogs. Nyx was out of it and stinky but they were good and the vet showed me a better way to express the anal glands. Nyx has to be on meds now. When we pulled up to the house I was so excited because the house had a ton of Christmas lights! I knew Eric was home all day and had been working out in the yard and backyard and fixing the fence and cleaning the house and all that, but I didn’t expect the Christmas lights. I was so happy. When I walked in I was so excited, which I knew made him happy. We went out to the street and looked at the house. It’s so bright out there (the full moon probably helped) that we don’t even have to put on the porch lights because it’s just as light in the courtyard. We took Lucia and Clancy on a walk around the neighborhood and when we got home then Eric worked on dinner. He made some very good burgers and I helped by selecting just the right amount of yam fries. We watched tv and relaxed and it was a better night than the prior.

Thursday 12/8, Peggy and I had the holiday ladies lunch at the RC and after that I was off for the day. I got home around 3. I spent part of the afternoon cleaning and trying to get the house picked up. Eric texted asking if I was going to bring Lucia in, but at that point I was feeling not wonderful and told him I didn’t know. Clancy ate another pair of my shoes, taking his total up to 3 pair in the last week and a half: my favorite flats, my favorite Vans and my favorite slippers. I was so mad. Put me in a bad mood for the rest of the day. Watched Thursday night shows and to bed.

Wednesday 12/7, I think I took Lucia to Mud Bay in Bellevue. I watched Modern Family and Eric probably cooked dinner. Don’t remember.

Tuesday 12/6, I had the day off. Eric got up early to go to work. I eventually got up and fed the dogs and all that then took off to go get my car looked at. I got it squared away but the long term prognosis is not good; might be time for a new car. I stopped at the antique shops before going home but they weren’t open yet. I went to Super Supplements to do some xmas shopping then home for some lunch and hanging with the dogs. I did some reading and ended up finally finishing my book (Middlesex). Good read. BL in bed.

Monday 12/5, I think I just read for most of the night after walking the dogs. I think Eric was working but I don’t remember.

Sunday 12/4, We were up early and I was ready to get going on staining the screen and gate. We needed paint brushes so we went up to Ace then back down and I got to work. Eric was making chicken for our tacos later that night for dinner so he started that while I got going on the screen. He was in a very bad mood because he didn’t want to be out there and I hadn’t helped very much the day before. We worked in silence for a long time but by the time we got to the gate in the back he was in a better mood and we talked while we stained. Finished up the gate, fence posts and other spots that needed some stain and went inside to clean up and warm up. It was freezing outside. Eric went to work not much later and I was supposed to get some tree stuff but forgot. Instead I did some things around the house and finally hung up my Ryan Gosling poster in my bathroom and admired it. I called Aubrie to ask about plans for when they were coming up and also to find out about xmas presents. She liked my poster after I sent a picture of it to her via text. I took Lucia in to see Eric at work and she did great and wandered around the store and took treats from Veronica so that was good. We went home after a half hour or so. I started prepping the fixins for our tacos knowing Eric would be home soon. When he got home everything was ready and he served up and we ate in the living room. I cleaned up the kitchen and before long we were into bed.

Saturday 12/3, Eric had me up early and instead of reading wanted me dressed to get moving. I ate, dressed and we got to work on the dogs’ nails and did both Lucia and Nyx. Nyx has some weird stuff going on with her toes so we cleaned them up and trimmed them and put the boo boo gel on so we’ll see in about a week and do it all over again. It was time to go over to Mom’s to pick up a bunch of plants. First Mom wanted to show Eric the kitchen design and he liked it. Outside Eric dug out three huge nandina (about 8-10 feet tall each) and the kiwi. It took quite a while because the roots were bisected by conduit and electrical wires in the ground. We headed home and started planting and doing yard work then Mom showed up so that was good because she helped. A lady walking by complimented the yard. The plants all went in and looked great. I cut the dahlias back and dug out the tubers for the winter and trimmed up some other plants. Eric and Mom went back to Mom’s to get one more nandina to fill in a gap so I had some yogurt and warmed up then went up to Chipotle to get us lunch. When I got there it was packed (it was 2:20 for christ’s sake!). I got food, headed home, looked at their awesome handiwork and inside to eat. We had a fun lunch and talked about the changes and next steps. Eric brought a book in from the car that he got me (The Art of Racing in the Rain) about a dog or something and it was very sweet. He knows I’m trying to read more. Eric took off shortly after to meet up with Schuyler (also Chrystol’s grandma died so he got her a card and some flowers) and Mom stuck around so we could chat. She left a little after 4 and I showered and got dressed rather than into my pajamas. I read for a long time and relaxed. Eric was home by 8 and started making dinner; a stroganoff. It was done by 9:30 so it was a late dinner. We watched a 48 Hours or whatever and made our own conjectures. I was falling asleep so after it was over we got into bed and watched Cheaters until we both fell asleep.

Friday 12/2, Eric had walked the dogs by the time I got home so we didn’t have to worry about any of that. We went back into Issaquah to go to Costco and got a ton of samples so I wasn’t starving for dinner. We loaded up on stuff so hopefully we’ll be good for a while. We decided to go out to dinner to Than Bros up at Crossroads. We had a nice dinner and I ate pretty much all of it. Back at home I was feeling tired and not up for a laser show as I had previously suggested. I climbed into bed and started reading and Eric was disappointed that I wasn’t feeling amorous. Went to sleep.

Thursday 12/1, Eric had already walked the dogs when I got home and was working with Lucia. He got a pizza for dinner and had it in the oven already. We ate relatively early and I didn’t have much. Kass called and propositioned buying Eric’s car so I talked to Eric and he was being combative. We ended up having a bit of a fight. Eventually he apologized and so did I and he’s going to think about it. I watched my shows but was kind of distracted. We were fine by the end of the night.
