Tuesday 11/15, Woke up with a little bit of a sore throat but didn’t think much of it. Work was fine and when I got home I started right up with doing some hand signals for Lucia since she only knows a couple. She caught on pretty quickly. Eric made dinner and I ate it at the desk in the kitchen while taking care of emails and things. We watched tv and I was starting to feel worse so I got into bed. I did some stuff online, like catch up on celebrity gossip, then to bed after 10.

Monday 11/14, First day back went ok. It was dark by the time I got home, but I took the dogs on a walk because I knew they needed it. I went though emails, made mac and cheese and watched tv and eventually into bed after Eric got home and a shower.

Sunday 11/13, We got up and ended up just hanging out in the room for a few hours packing and lounging until it was time to check out. We left our stuff at concierge, changed into our suits and headed over to the pool. We were in the sun for a while, but I was too hot so we moved to the shade and at noon ate our quesadillas. We packed up at 1 and went to shower and get ready. We sat and talked with our fav bell hop, Joshue, and he told us more about his life, kids, prison stint, etc. Our shuttle arrived so we bid farewell and we were on our way to the airport. We went a different way, got checked in, through security and into the waiting area. We walked around and looked in shops then sat down by our gate. I got us some pizza before we boarded. The flight felt long, though we got quite a ways through Lars and the Real Girl before we had to turn if off and put it away. Got through customs, immigration, all that, finally got our bags and called Kristel. She picked us up and soon we were on our way home, talking about our trip. It was freezing outside. She dropped us off and we greeted the dogs who were so excited to see us, it was adorable. We went to the store to pick up some basics then back home. I was exhausted and climbed into bed. Went to sleep not much later.

Saturday 11/14, I was still sad when I woke up about the book. I was feeling down, but trying not to be too down to make Eric irritated. I slept in and Eric wanted to go walk the beach but I didn’t want to get out of bed so I continued to watch tv, a first for our vacation. I watched one of the Batman movies, though I don’t know what the title is. It’s the one with Poison Ivy and it was ridiculous; so different from the newer ones. Thank god. It was awful, but I watched the whole thing. Took a shower and when Eric got back we got ready and headed down to the shuttle to go into town. We ate at the little fish taco place again and I got a couple of beef tacos and they were good. We continued on and walked up to the town square again so I could take some pictures. We snapped away, walked back down, hit the store for the last time to pick up supplies for our last few meals and went up to the mall to wait for our shuttle. When we got back Eric wanted to rest before his 19-mile run, so I suited up and went down to the pool and took my GQ and ipod. I was down there for about an hour before heading back up. Eric was just getting ready to head down to the gym and I told him I’d be down in a little bit to work out as well. I went online to read reviews of the book on amazon and some of the reviews were exactly how I felt. I read those, sent dad an email telling him I was still in Mexico then put on my workout clothes and went down to the gym. I worked out for about an hour and headed back. I puttered around, packed and waited for Eric to come home. I put my leftover quesadillas in the oven and got that going for our appetizers as we watched a movie, but I don’t remember which one. Eric ran for 3.5 hours and came home to make veggie tacos. I showered and finished packing. We watched tv and eventually turned in on our last night.

Friday 11/11, We took our time in the morning and eventually went down to the pool, and hung at the upper Delfines pool. We went in the hot tub, but it wasn’t hot thank goodness. We used it to cool down a couple of times. I did some reading, we talked, moved once and moved into the shade before heading back up to the room. We had leftovers for lunch and I did some reading, not wanting to finish my book, but also wanting to finish to find out what was going to happen. Later in the afternoon we walked around the property and eventually found a bench to sit on and watch the set up for a wedding. We sat there for a long time talking and people watching. After we went back up I probably read for a bit then went down to go to the gym. Eric wanted to walk on the beach so he walked me down and met me after my hour workout. Back up to the room then we got ready to go to dinner at Girasoles. We had a nice dinner and there were fireworks we could see right from our table, as well as a full moon on the other side of the restaurant over the water, lighting up the sea. We headed back to our room, but detoured by the wedding, which had belly dancers at the time. I thought Jess’ dance was better. I continued on with my book, 60 pages to go, and as it went on I was more and more worried about the ending. Eric came to bed and I told him if it ended the way it looked like it was going to end I was going to cry. It did. I cried. A lot. I bawled. Eric laughed a little but also said he was sorry and patted my leg. I couldn’t believe he ended the book like that. I loved the book and then the shittiest ending ever. I was so sad. I cried for a while as Eric had fallen asleep. I was so tired but couldn’t go to sleep so I turned on the tv and watched 48 Hours and almost fell asleep during that, but as soon as it was over had a hard time again. Fell asleep eventually.

Thursday 11/10, Eric got up to work out and I went down to book P’s time share for next year. I was there a half hour early and was sixth in line. Geez. Luckily I got it all squared away and back up to the room. I beat Eric back and when he returned we got ready and went to town on the 10:30 shuttle with my new map in hand. We checked out shops, galleries and local sights (Catholic Church, town square, Cultural Center, Cabo Museum), found Mi Casa and a whole slew of other stores. We walked down to the new cultural center and stood there for a few minutes marveling and letting the breeze cool us down. We walked back toward the mall via the boardwalk. One guy asked us if we wanted to pet his iguana and after we said no he was like, “you know, like Jurassic Park”. We looked at the boats / ships and some of them were insane. We made it back over to the store and picked up groceries then over to the mall to wait for our shuttle. Back at the resort we got our suits on and headed down to the pool and I read while Eric listened to music. We stayed down there until the sun was blocked by the palm trees. We went back up to the room and dropped our stuff then back down and walked down the beach. We took pictures and sat on some rocks to watch the sun set. Eric made some pasta for dinner. I read in the bedroom for a while then Eric came in and wanted to have some fun time, so we did all that then into the shower, into bed and more reading before going to sleep.

Wednesday 11/9, Eric was up early again and to the gym to get his running out of the way. I was ready to hit the pool by the time he got back. We went down and got good seats, kind of secluded and right by the pool. I mostly read while Eric listened to music. I was really loving my book and wanted to read it constantly but was trying to pace myself. We decided to get in the pool but I only got up to my rib cage because it was too cold. The weather was hot but that pool water was too chilly. We went up around noon and I had leftovers and Eric made himself something. I laid down but wasn’t tired enough to sleep, only read. Eric talked me into working out since he wanted to go lift weights. I did the treadmill for 50 minutes and managed to work up quite a sweat, despite the gym being air conditioned. Back up to the room and showered. We watched Seinfeld as Eric made dinner (breakfast burritos) and we ate in the living room. Not sure how late we stayed up but I think it was an early night to sleep.

Tuesday 11/8, Eric woke up early and went to the gym while I slept in. When he got back we went down to Delfines Pool. I brought my book and read a bit and we did some chatting. The pool was cold so I never got all the way in, just my feet. We stayed down for a couple hours and I was ready to order something to eat, but I got sick of waiting for the waitress and decided it was all too expensive anyway. Back up at the room I had some leftover pasta that hit the spot. I was full and laid down then Eric was feeling riled up so we did all that then into the shower. We continued to relax for a good portion of the afternoon and ventured out after 5. We walked through the meet and greet and onto the beach where we walked in the water. It was so warm. We went all the way down to the golf course and found the spot where all the crabs hang out. We sat down there for a while and watched the sun set and eventually headed back toward the beautiful shades of orange and pink of the sky. We went up to the room and got ready and eventually headed down to Tomatoes for dinner. We had a great table right on the edge of the balcony and with the waves crashing and passing party boats; it was a really beautiful setting. We had $100 to blow so I got a caprese salad to start then a delicious steak sandwich thing. Eric got fajitas. For dessert I ordered the pink peppercorn crème brulee. I didn’t love it but ate most of it anyway. Eric didn’t like it at all, so I can add that to the 3 things I’ve found he doesn’t like. We paid and headed back to the room with Eric saying “Welcome to Prickles” in a hilarious voice. I think when we got back we watched the second half of “Death at a Funeral” which was ridiculous and made me love Luke Wilson a little less. I probably went into the bedroom to read while Eric watched tv. Went to bed not too late.

Monday 11/7, We woke up early to go to our presentation appointment and breakfast. We were a little early so we went down to the pool then back up to check in. Answered questions and all that bs, then met the guy giving us the presentation and went in to have breakfast. I thought we got to eat by ourselves, but he joined us. Awkward. We did the tour then he sat us down and did the spiel and all that but we weren’t interested, as he suspected. He let us go then another lady tried to sell us stuff but we told her no and got going. We went up to the room, changed and noticed the shuttle for town would be leaving in 20 minutes so we went back down. Talked to one of the bell hop boys to find out where to go for lunch and also where the grocery store was. We were on our way into Cabo and we walked around a little before going to La Pescado per the recommendation. The pico was delicious but a little spicy, but my lunch was not what I was expecting so I chocked most of it down and left the rest. We went on our way and continued exploring; not as nice as Playa, just kind of run-down feeling. We found the store, walked around, got ideas for what we were going to buy for supplies, then back out to check out the mall. There were some great art shops and if I had more money I would have bought a couple things. Beautiful things. Spending thousands on artwork on vacation was not in the cards. Back to the store and got all our stuff then back over to wait for the shuttle. I was happy to be going back. We put stuff away and got our suits on and down to the pool. We picked one of the pools at the end. I got a bloody nose toward the end. We just laid and relaxed for a little over an hour and I read my new book, Story of Edgar Sawtelle. Back upstairs Eric got ready to workout and I showered and got into bed to relax and read. I was tired but never fell asleep, only drifted in and out and listened to the birds and other sounds of the open patio doors. It was perfect. Eric came back and started dinner. We went down to the little store for butter and tomato paste. Back upstairs I turned on the tv and we watched Mr. Deeds as we ate dinner. We went on a walk of the grounds and wanted to find all the restaurants to figure out which we were going to choose for our free dinner. We found another pool and decided we’re going to do Tomatoes (Potatoes). We walked on the beach and it was so bright with the moon and the sound of the waves crashing was really nice. We walked past a section of beach roped off because turtle eggs are there. It was awesome to see. Back up to the lobby to inquire about internet then back home. I logged on, checked email, denied an app for Lucia, checked fb, was catching up on emails in the den when I got cut off from the net. Decided to update this while Eric watched Sherlock Holmes. Finally finished this and went into the bedroom since he was watching some disturbing National Geographic special about people with demons or something. Read for a while then Eric came in and wanted to watch Cop Out so we watched that until he fell asleep and I watched the end and went to bed.

Sunday 11/6, I slept pretty well, considering. Eric woke me up at 7 and we got going and took care of the dogs. Mom arrived right at 8 and we were off to the airport. We got checked in easily and through security quickly (total of 15 minutes from when we walked in the door) so we had plenty of time. We went to the N concourse and Eric got a coffee and I got some coffee cake (anxiety eating). We sat at the gate and talked and 30 minutes before boarding we went and got bagel sandwiches for the plane for lunch. Our flight took off on time and we ate our lunch before turning on Batman Forever. We watched until the laptop battery died and shortly after we started descending into Cabo. Eric pointed out the prison as we landed. Immigration was so slow; I’ve never seen it so slow, then the line for Customs wrapped all the way around the baggage claim area and then back up along the line. It was insane; I’ve never seen anything like it. We got through without the red light. Found our shuttle and we were off to Hacienda d*l Mar. We had a couple stops for other people to get out and finally we arrived. Went through check in, the intro and got signed up for the “presentation” the next morning and finally up to our room. It was not an ocean view, but that didn’t shock me since they’d screwed up the dates and everyone had already checked in. Whatever. We went back down but got no where. We went back up, showered and went to Giraflores and sat in the bar for happy hour, except our dinner still cost $40. Not so happy. We went to the little store and got some water before heading back up to the room. It felt really late but it probably was around 8. I was tired and wanted to go to bed so I don’t think it was much longer before I did, after reading some of my new Vanity Fair.

Saturday 11/5, I got up right after Eric left for work (7:45) and took the dogs out, fed them, etc. I got dressed and started cleaning up the kitchen but took off to go to the bank for cash, All the Best for a refill on food and the drug store for a toothbrush holder. Back home I kept going on laundry and cleaning the kitchen. I got a lot done before Kristel showed up. We had leftover enchiladas for lunch and watched Half Nelson, and it was painful to watch. It made me less in love with RG, because seeing him as a drug addict is not very endearing. This is in addition to All Good Things where he plays a weirdo murderer. We chatted for a while after it was over then she left. I continued with packing and washing dog bedding. Eric came home shortly after and we got the dogs bathed and anal glands expressed. Kept going on chores and things, then had some dinner. I went to bed fairly early because I was exhausted.

Friday 11/4, A little bit stressful end to my day with a lot of questions packed into the last 15 minutes of the day. On my way home I felt very good and so glad to be have the next week off. I took the dogs for a walk, which made them happy. Eric probably went running and got dinner started (enchiladas) then we went to Walgreens for toiletries and Super Supplements for stuff. Back at home he popped dinner in the oven and I did stuff around the house until it was time to eat (including clean the bathroom, ish). I had a lot of chores and packing to do in the next 24 hours. Went to bed semi-late, I think.

Thursday 11/3, When I got home Eric was getting ready to go for a run and had plans to go to Sky’s for the evening. I took the dogs for a walk around the block to get a little energy out. I did some stuff around the house and had some leftovers for dinner. I watched back episodes of Office and Parks and Rec until those shows were actually on tv. Into bed and Eric was home before too long, but then went back out to get milk I think. Went to bed not too late. One more day to get through.

Wednesday 11/2, Eric was up super early and doing stuff. I got up and did my workout. Left him an x-mas present for when he got back from school. He emailed me letting me know he’d figured out the heat and that it just needed to be reset. Susan wasn’t feeling good so we cancelled hanging out. When I got home I talked with Eric a little then took off to go get a pedicure. It is actually a very nice salon and much better than I expected. The color was a little more orange than I was expecting, but it’s still cute. Back home Eric had dinner all squared away: my favorite salad, garlic bread and reheated soup. I ate way too much. We watched tv and I checked my online stuff. Got some cake and watched Modern Family. Into the bedroom to update this and into bed.

Tuesday 11/1, Eric didn't come to bed until 4 or something (fell asleep in the den). I got off a little early, headed home and found the house all picked up and cleaned. Thank god for Eric. I did a few things before Eric got home, then he started dinner and Mom arrived shortly after. We sat in the kitchen and talked and Mom kissed and baby-talked Brizo. Dad arrived and we talked more in the kitchen. Lucia doesn't care for Dad. We sat in the living room for a while and dinner was ready by 6:30 or so. It was really good: chicken marsala, mashed potatoes, roasted asparagus and cauliflower. There were onions, capers and a parsley topping. It was delicious. Mom and Dad cleaned their plates. Then Eric brought out a homemade chocolate cake. Yum! I had two pieces. Kieran called earlier with a problem with the thermostat in the bedroom, great. Dad and I went online to figure out if we could find the manual and did. I sent it to her but she still couldn't get it to work. Eric was going to go over and see if he could figure it out the next day. We talked some more in the living room and sat with the dogs they left at 8:30. I showered and got into bed, we talked about finances a little, I looked at stuff online and I went to bed by 10:30. Eric came in late.
