Tuesday 9/30, When I got home Eric asked if I wanted to go down to the Master Garden to see the blooming dahlias. I changed and we set out on foot. It was a nice walk and we did a lot of perusing at flowers and care instructions. We headed back home and I got Plum’s medical info submitted then answered emails to Dan. Eric started on dinner then we decided to read a book together and the first one we’re reading is In the Lake of the Woods. We got through the first five chapters then I showered and got ready for bed. Eric slept in the other room because his back was bothering him.

Monday 9/29, I went over to Susan’s after work so we could watch X-Files. We watched three episodes including a two-parter. They were all pretty good, though there are always unanswered questions. Jon went and got us Chipotle so we could get through more episodes. I left around 8:15, stopped at Super Supplements on the way home and also the store. When I got home I got ready for bed and was kind of in a bad mood. Eric was already in bed and fell asleep early. I stayed up later and took the dogs out in the pouring rain. I slept pretty well despite having Plum right on top of me all night.

Sunday 9/28, I got up at 8:00 and got ready. Eric took care of the dogs and we threw everything in the car for Plum and off we went for Plum’s home visit up in Coupeville. I checked the ferry status and decided to chance it. There was a big motorcycle thing on the island that day so I knew we’d be seeing a lot of those. When we got to the Mukilteo ferry there were three lanes full of motorcycles. One guy motioned to me, like, asking me if I wanted to ride with him. I laughed. Plum was still not really herself and was not happy to be in the crate so while we waited and on the ferry I had her in my lap so she could sleep there instead. We made it for the HV right on time, 11:00 am. We met the husband and he was very nice and funny. We went and sat on the back porch and just chatted with him and his wife. Plum did pretty well with the resident puppy, Bogey. He called his sister, niece, and friend who all came over to meet Plum. It went well but they wanted to discuss before making a decision. It was 1:00 when we left. We stopped at a roadside hot dog stand and each got a dog. Yum! We made another stop at DQ and used the bathroom before getting in the ferry line. We made it on the next ferry and called Genie on the way home. We were happy to be home and the sun was finally coming out. I took the dogs out then took care of scanning in Plum’s vet paperwork. I put on Austenland and worked for about an hour. Eric made me some dinner before taking off for his City Hall lecture. I made some cookies and talked to Mom on the phone. I updated this, half-watched some tv, and lounged with the dogs before getting ready for bed.

Saturday 9/27, I was up by 7:30 to get ready and take Plum to have her spay surgery. She was not happy to be in the car or to be back at the vet. I took off and got my oil changed, then to get gas, then home. Eric was in the front yard doing yard work, so I put on my raggedy clothes and went out in the backyard to plant all of the plants I bought at T&L. I got almost all of them planted but had to take off to pick up Plum at noon. I got there right on time and she was so out of it. She was quiet and slept for the whole car ride home and did not want to come out of her crate when we got home so we left her in and let her sleep a little more. I finished planting my plants and checked on her again and she still didn’t want to come out but she did want a little food. I did some other stuff and checked on her intermittently. She finally went potty when Eric took her out but she was not feeling good so we let her rest. I napped in the bedroom while Eric went to the store to get stuff for dinner that evening. I got up and took care of the dogs and cleaned up a little. I put on the sling and put her in it and carried her around, though she kept groaning so finally I put her back in her crate and let her rest. I cut some more flowers for the house and had three vases full, mostly dahlias. Half of my dahlias haven’t even bloomed yet this year which is a disappointment, but also makes me realize for following years I’m going to need to get more vases. Sky and Chrystol showed up first and we hung out in the kitchen and talked while Eric cooked. Michelle arrived and it had been several years since I’d seen her. We all talked in the kitchen until dinner was ready then sat down and ate. Sky had like four helpings. Eric made stuffed poblano peppers with cheese and chicken and jalapenos and other stuff. He also made beef tacos with avo, queso fresco, and homemade pico. I liked the tacos while everyone else liked the poblanos. They were too spicy for me. We had a nice time talking around the table and eventually moved into the living room. Michelle filled me in on her new bf (her and Tony broke up in May) and we also watched youtube videos of people falling and hurting themselves. By 11:00 we were wrapping things up and everyone took off. We got ready for bed and watched SNL for a while before putting the dogs to bed. Plum slept in the bed next to me since she was still so out of it and I didn’t trust having her in a crate for the night. She did pretty good and was getting back to her old self by the early morning hours.

Friday 9/26, We got some bad news at work so I knew that the next week would be interesting. Part of me wants to cut down my hours and phase into something else, but who knows what will happen. I rushed home after work and Eric was putting the tires on the Saturn while I fed the dogs and got ready to pick up Mom and Dad. We drove down to the airport and made it right at 6:15. We went into Issaquah to the Sunset Tavern and had a very good dinner. Ky recommended it. We had a great time and headed back to the house afterward. Mom and Dad came in for a minute then took off for Plain. I felt bad we weren’t going over but we had a lot going on with Plum and trying to get her adopted. After they left I got ready for bed and took a shower. Plum went in and out and was funny as ever. I went to bed early-ish, I think.

Thursday 9/25, I was off work a little early. Genie emailed that the AC interview was a pass and went well. I called her on my way home and we talked about them. It was great. When I got home I emailed them to see if Sunday would work for the HV, and he confirmed it did. Eric took off with the tires to get them switched while I cleaned up the kitchen and fed the dogs. I took off for my VM appointment to get my foot looked at. It was a quick visit and he hit it with the liquid nitrogen. At home Eric was making dinner and wanted to talk philosophy. He dished me up and I watched tv in the bedroom and looked through my blind gossip. I watched BL and updated this, then took the dogs out and got ready for bed.

Wednesday 9/24, Stressful day at work. When I got home Eric told me he’d changed his plan with the car so I didn’t need to go down with him. I tweaked the long bio for Plum and sent it out to a promising couple in Coupeville. It was the best app for her I’d seen yet. I worked on that while Eric made dinner. He brought it in and I hit the send button. I was doing some other stuff in the bedroom then Eric took off to go to the store. I went out in the backyard and cut dahlias for the house. I went out and did some trimming in the backyard for a while then Eric came home. I had an ice cream bar and started to relax. I was so tired I was falling asleep before 8:00 and woke up right before 9:00. I watched Modern Family then fell back asleep.

Tuesday 9/23, I worked a little late and when I got home asked Eric how the Elsa handoff went. He said it went well. My new books arrived. I told Eric I wanted to go to the GO so we headed up there, picked up some groceries, then over to Chipotle to pick up some dinner. At home we watched a couple episodes of Office and ate dinner. We watched some DwtS then I went in the bedroom. I cleaned the vanity then washed some delicates and showered. Into bed, updated this, checked fb, and watched Friends.

Monday 9/22, Our alarms went off at 6:00 am. We got up, dressed, ready, packed, and into the car right at 6:20. Ash drove us to the airport shuttle and it arrived within a minute. We thanked her and said goodbye. We watched the sun rise as we drove to the airport. It took about 20 minutes, so not too bad. When we got to the airport I took one look at the security line below and had a moment of panic. The line was insane and we were not that early for our flight. I went and checked my bag and discovered that I’d been upgraded again, but sitting in the first row. Nuts. We heard someone directing people to an upstairs security check point that is shorter, so we headed over there. They had us line up single file and had dogs walk by us checking us. When we got up to the screening area they told us to leave everything in our bags for the xray and to leave our shoes and coats on. It was the fastest security line (outside San Diego) I’ve ever gone through, especially with how crazy the lines at the other check point were. We flew through. We walked to where our paths parted, hugged and said bye. I walked to my gate and parked it. We boarded a little late, took off a little late, but still managed to arrive about 10 minutes early. I went through some magazines, and watched the rest of Your Highness from my first flight. They fed us breakfast and it was decent; a little quiche with a roasted tomato and yam fries. Eric picked me up at the airport and I filled him in on my trip on the way home. When we got home I put my stuff down and headed to work. It was a short day but I worked until 6:00. I was very tired when I got home. I had to work on Plum’s long bio because she had an app, so I parked on the couch and worked on it while Eric made dinner. We got into a little snit and didn’t talk much for the rest of the night. Before bed he gave me a kiss and we tried to have a sense of humor about it. I turned the lights off at 10:00. It felt good to be in my own bed.

Sunday 9/21, Court was up earlier than I was. I think I woke up before 9:00. Sos came down with Maia and we all chatted before getting up and starting to get ready. I had a donut for breakfast then showered and got ready. Leigh came and picked me up at noon so we could go out to lunch and catch up. We went to Silvi’s where the food and setting were wonderful. We had a great brunch and did all kinds of catching up and she is so funny. I miss having her in my life. We figured out we haven’t seen each other since 1998 when I went to CO with my parents after I moved back to WA. I had a fabulous time and she drove me back to Sos’ where Court was also back with her friend. I said bye to Leigh and went inside where everyone was chatting on the back patio. After Court’s friends left we packed up and took off for Red Rocks. We went to the amphitheater and took a couple of quick pictures and hit the road again. We drove through Morrison on our way to the freeway and headed to Ash and Will’s for an early dinner. Doug was already there when we arrived and he had his kid, Henry, with him. Henry looks like a 5-year old, but is actually not even 3 yet. I held Biz while everyone ate and then had a few pieces of pizza. The Broncos Seahawks game was on and the Hawks won by the skin of their teeth and there were a lot of unhappy Bronco fans in the house. We all took a walk to the park and had a blast. It was a giant caravan with 7 adults and 6 kids. We walked around the neighborhood looking at all the different architecture styles and made it back to their house after sundown. Doug and Henry took off, then Sos and Jake. We said our goodbyes and back inside to get our little bedroom ready. All of us girls hung out in there and one of Ash’s girls asked “Is this what it’s like to have a grown up slumber party?”; it was so cute. We were in there for a long time talking then all of the kids went to bed. We watched an episode of “The First 48” and everyone fell asleep except me. We got ready for bed and went to bed by 10:30. I had a great night’s sleep.

Saturday 9/20, We woke up a little after 8:00 and talked for a little bit before getting up and going for our complimentary breakfast. We each had a waffle and some yogurt and a banana. We headed back up to our room and each showered and got ready. Sos was on her way to come pick us up. When she got there we packed up and told her the story from the night before. She was 8 months pregnant but looked like 5. We took off and headed downtown to do the 16th Street Mall. We found parking and started walking up the Mall. We stopped into H&M but otherwise we just kind of took in the sights and enjoyed the beautiful weather. We were getting hungry so we walked to Rioja, where Sos had had dessert on a prior occasion. We had brunch and it was very good. I got a crepe with goat cheese and some other stuff that I can’t remember. We walked back to the car and headed to Sos’ house. Court and I laid down when we got there because Sos was trying to put down Maia. I ended up falling asleep and eventually made myself get up. Tessa and her friend Cameron came over and we chatted and caught up. Ash and Will came over with the kids and we pretty much hung out in the living room for the evening. We had dinner out on the patio and everything was very good. Ash brought two dozen donuts for dessert and I had 1.5. The conversation was fun and I think everyone really enjoyed themselves. Ash and Will took off around 10 probably and we all hung out with Tessa and Cam in the living room for a while longer. After they left we all got ready for bed and Court and I were in the playroom on an air mattress. She fell asleep while I chatted with Jake and Sos. Eventually went to bed but had a really bad night’s sleep because of the draft from the mattress. Forgot to put a comforter on the bottom.

Friday 9/19, I left work at 3:45 and headed home, let out the dogs, and changed my clothes. Eric put my stuff in the car and we rolled out by 4:45 for the airport. I was going to Denver to meet up with Courtney, Sos, and Ashley for a girls’ weekend. Court and I were meeting at the airport and staying at a hotel for the night since we were getting in around 11 pm. He asked what we were going to do when we got there and told him since it would be around midnight when we got to the hotel that we’d probably go to bed. He was like, “Oh what, do you have a big business meeting tomorrow?” He told me we should go out and hit the town. I asked him if I had a free pass for the weekend. At first he said what he didn’t know wouldn’t hurt him, but then retracted. Nuts. We made it to the airport, he dropped me off and I got all checked in. I got to go through the secret fast lane. I went to my gate and paged through some magazines and talked to Mom on the phone. We boarded and left ahead of schedule. We landed at 10:15, about 25 minutes early. Despite the turbulence and lightning storms. I got my bag and sat down charging my phone, waiting for Courtney to land. I met her at her baggage claim and we talked for a long time waiting for her bag, but it had been circling for a while and she hadn’t noticed it. I told her Eric’s idea that we needed to go out. She admitted she was a little hungry so we’d see what was near the hotel. She called the hotel shuttle and it picked us up after we searched for a minute. There was a guy sitting on his truck outside the hotel entrance and he was very interested in our arrival, then inside we got all checked in. The front desk guy confirmed Vinny’s (which we saw on the way in, down the block) was where he’d recommend we go for food and fun at that time of night (midnight). And they had karaoke. We went up to the room, changed our clothes, and headed out on foot. We didn’t know what to expect, and nothing could have prepared us for the next hour and a half of our lives. When we walked in everyone in the bar turned and looked at us. I made Court go first and we sat up at the bar. There was a cute guy sitting to the right and he was like “One of these seats is taken” so we apologized then he was like, “Oh, it’s okay, I’ll just move down one” so we were like, thanks! There were two guys to the left, not together, that would not stop staring and trying to make eye contact. There was a guy singing karaoke and he was just screaming into the microphone; it was so loud and bad. We kept laughing and the guy next to us started talking to us a little and was making fun of the singer guy too. Then the guy was done and walked over and the guy we were talking to was his friend. Whoops. The singer guy really wanted us to sing a song with him but we were both not interested. On many levels. He was really intense. The guy to the right of us had gone out onto the patio at some point and abandoned his saved seats. He came back in to tell us that he was hanging outside so if we wanted to move down to feel free. He could see the irritating guy annoying us and came in to try to help. Hilarious. We laughed and thanked him. Soon after someone tapped my arm from the right. I turn and it was an older guy. He was like “Wow, you’re pretty”. I said thank you. He just kept saying it. He made sure to mention he wasn’t hitting on me and his wife was at the other end of the bar. He asked if we were passing through or local. I humored him and eventually he left. We kept looking around at the crowd and just kept saying “who are these people?!” do they live there? Do they work in the hotels and airport? How did they get there? It is a pretty removed pocket. Soon the guys on the left of us took off and it turns out the bad singer guy is from Olympia. Go figure. We decided to order food since those guys left because before we were plotting out escape, but now that they were gone some food looked good. We got mozzarella sticks and chicken strips. We each had one of each and that was enough. Two other guys came and sat on our right and I looked at Court and I was like “Oh boy, here we go again”. But they pretty much ignored us. Court was like “They must be gay. They haven’t even looked my way!” We were really cracking ourselves up. At one point the old guy came over and started tickling the guy directly on my right. I was like, “See, everyone knows each other here! This is a total local hangout, despite nothing being around it.” Then the karaoke dj came over and started talking to the two guys so again, we figured they were regulars. The dj asked the cute guy, sitting one seat over, if he was from the DR and the guy asked “Why? Because I’m brown?!” The dj kept talking to them and eventually the guy next to me said right into the microphone “You’re like a bad strip club dj” and the guy like nervously laughed and left. The guy next to me goes, “Well, isn’t he?” and we were like “I don’t know what that sounds like” and he goes “That. That is what a strip club dj sounds like.” His name was Christian. He was like “This place is so fucking weird” and we were like, you guys aren’t from here? They were like “No fucking way!” Christian lives in Chicago and the other guy (pretty boy) (didn’t get his name) is from San Diego. Christian was like “I’ve been to a lot of places and this one takes the cake”. He was like “This old guy keeps coming up and tickling me” and we started cracking up and I told him I thought he knew him because that would be so weird to have a guy you don’t know tickling you. He was like “Yeah, he’s so fucking weird. This guy (points to pretty boy) told him I like being tickled and he came in the bathroom while I was taking a piss and started tickling me!” We were all laughing so hard. I told him that guy sat next to me for a while but told me he had a wife, but the guys were like “No, it’s not his wife, just his girlfriend. She’s at the other end of the bar.” It was all just hilarious.  Anyway, we talked to them for a long time and we were having so much fun. Then we look up and see this porn video on one of the tvs where this bride and groom are screwing and then he comes all over her but it’s skittles. We’re all sitting there in shock with our jaws on the bar. The skittles brand shows at the end and says “Share the rainbow” or something like that. We are all just silent for a minute. Then. “WHERE THE FUCK ARE WE?! What is this place?!” It just kept getting funnier and funnier. Lastly there was a camel toe song and video showing pictures of womens’ camel toes. It was just unreal. We were all cracking up. I finished my ginger ale and Court was done with her stella and it was nearing 2:00 am so we decided to pack it in. We said good bye to our boyfriends and I when I turned around for a second Christian was checking us out. I would have made out with him, but didn’t get the okay from Eric. Ha. Anyway, as we were leaving we were both like, we should have invited them back to the hotel to go for a swim in our amazing hotel pool. We knew they were staying at the Holiday Inn Express so we started plotting about how we could intercept them since they would have to walk past our hotel. We discussed hiding in the bushes and casually coming out when they walked out. We stopped at the convenience store so I could get a water (that I then couldn’t get open until the next morning). We kept walking and laughing and decided we should go up to our room and flash them when they went by. Except when we went up we cracked up because our room was on the wrong side of the building. Oh well. We still laughed about doing it. We got ready for bed and climbed in. We talked forever and she’s having some relationship issues and I told her everything would be okay. No matter what happens. Finally after 3:00 am we went to sleep. It was such a fun night. Thank goodness Eric told us to go out.

Thursday 9/18, Susan came over after work and watched an episode of X-Files (Grotesque) and it was very disturbing. And confusing. Eric made me dinner which was hard to eat during the episode. Susan didn’t stick around long because it’s getting darker much earlier. I ran around the house packing for Denver. I did that for most of the rest of the night and went to bed relatively early to try and rest up. I checked my flight and I got bumped up to first class.

Wednesday 9/17, When I got home Eric was cleaning so I went outside and planted some of my plants in the front yard and did some watering. Back inside Eric had dinner ready for me and we sat in the living room and half-watched tv. In the bedroom I was doing stuff online but kept falling asleep. By 10 I was really tired but wanted to finish updating this.

Tuesday 9/16, I stayed late at work and didn’t get home until 6-ish. I went for a run around the neighborhood and showered when I got home. Eric had a delicious dinner waiting for me when I got home. We got an app for Plum and I needed to work on the long bio but I was procrastinating and ended up just writing an email in response to her questions. Not a good fit but I wanted her to come to the conclusion. We ate dinner in the living room and watched Crocodile Dundee, which I’ve never seen. It was funny. It was after 9 when it was over and I did stuff online until going to bed.

Monday 9/15, Bruce came and picked up Dexter at 7:15 so he headed home. I stayed late at work and didn’t get home until 6:00. I had wanted to plant my plants but didn’t get to it. I finished making the bed then went out in the yard and cut roses and dahlias. Eric took off to get a pizza and I spent time in the backyard with the dogs. We ate dinner watching Parks and Rec then I went into the bedroom. I watched tv and updated this. My new David Bowie night light from Etsy arrived.

Sunday 9/14, I was up at 4:30 because three of the dogs were being jerks in the den. I brought Elsa into bed with me and the other two continued being jerks until Eric got up at 7:00. He took them out. I got up but he told me to go back to bed and that he would take care of them. I got up at 8:00 and got ready to take Plum to the vet for her last DHPP. I found out that she’s closer to the 5 to 6-month age range which was very surprising. Back home Eric was out getting doggie treats before he headed up to Bellingham. When I was trying to get the dogs outside I jammed my foot into one of the gates and started crying. I think my hormones were a little…off. When Eric got home he asked if I’d been crying so that made me start again. I was so stressed out with the dogs and was dreading Rio’s people coming and trying to keep them all under control. Eric helped me game plan then headed up to Brad and Heidi’s. I put on Rachmaninov and surprisingly all the dogs calmed down and went to sleep. It was quiet and calm for an hour and a half then I started putting dogs away in preparation. They arrived and we did the handoff and it went fine. I settled down into the living room and put on Junebug. It was good but I had some unanswered questions and had to consult IMDB. I took out the dogs then showered and putzed around. I had a little dinner and talked to Eric who was on his way home. I took off for my massage at 8:00. He was early and ended up giving me a little bit longer of a massage because we were chatting it up. It was very good and I told him he deserves all the awards. I told him about my and Sean’s conversations about massage and the boundaries and professionalism and all that. It was hilarious. He had a fellow therapist one time tell him to tell women to take off their bras for their massages; he was like, no way, I would never tell a woman that! It was a great massage and the dialogue was good. He says he’s had his fair share of creepy clients. I told him I bet he has. He’s just too good with his hands and too cute. So nice though. I headed home, talking to myself in the car. I stopped at the store and picked up a few things then home. Eric and I chatted about our days and even though the Hawks lost he had a good time. We got ready for bed and he slept in the guest room with Dexter and Clancy. I fell asleep watching tv and had Breezy and Elsa.

Saturday 9/13, Another dream about James Franco. Don’t know what’s going on with my subconscious, but the dreams are good so they can just keep on coming as far as I’m concerned. We were up early wrangling dogs. I went and gassed up then when I got home Eric took off for work. I called Mom and she came over around 10 and we went to T&L to get some birthday plants. I couldn’t find several of them, but ended up getting some on my list. Two Ascot Rainbow Euphorbia, a new gardenia (snow something), two dahlias, a Tangerine Fuchsia, two Eternal Fragrance Daphne, and six Agastache (three varieties). At home we unloaded and mom took off. I spent part of the afternoon juggling dogs, in and outside and keeping them occupied. I settled into the living room with my credit card statements and worked on that while I watched Eternal Sunshine and then High Fidelity. Justin and Mailen arrived a little after 6:00 to drop off Elsa for 10 days. They stayed for a while and we talked a lot. They took off and we did dog introductions. We did a real simple dinner and I was so exhausted I fell asleep by 10:30.

Friday 9/12, I had a very nice dream about James Franco, whom I’m not even crazy about or anything, but let me just say. He was pretty fantastic in my dream. I woke up all fuzzy. I got off work by 3:45 which was really nice for a Friday. I took the dogs out and spent time outside doing a few things. My new Mozart bust for the bathroom arrived as well as my himmeli piece. I put them both in the bathroom and when Eric came home he really liked them. We took the dogs for a walk. Bruce arrived with Dexter and I was out in the backyard with the other dogs trying to keep some semblance of order. I was mildly successful. I went in and chatted with him and the dates changed so we only had him until Monday morning instead of Wednesday. That was fine with us since we were going to be up to our ears in dogs. After he left, Eric made dinner and for the rest of the night we juggled dogs. I watched Dateline or 48 Hours, I can never remember. I had some of the dogs in with me and Eric took the other half of the crew. We were getting one more the next day.

Thursday 9/11, I was off work a little late and headed home. We had Rio arriving that evening so we prepped for that. I folded some laundry while Eric fed the dogs. I cleaned up some poop and back inside. Eric made me dinner and afterward Rio arrived, only for three nights instead of four. I took Rio in the bedroom with me and the other dogs stayed with Eric. I updated this and watched Biggest Loser, which I haven’t watched in a million years. I talked to Mom and she wants to go to T&L on Saturday. She also talked about going to Europe next year and wanted to know if we’d go. They want to do three weeks, one week each in Portugal, Spain, and southern France. I told her I’m in, at least for part of it. I had the dogs in with me for a good part of the evening, with the exception of Rio who stayed out with Eric. Went to bed after 11.

Wednesday 9/10, I texted with Kyle and told him I was going to go home and shower then pick him up at Starbucks at Kelsey Creek. While I was in the shower I talked with Eric about my day. I took off and grabbed Ky by 6:00. He packed up his stuff, we texted Kristel, and headed down to the mall. We decided on Cactus for dinner because they used to go all the time for happy hour, back in the day. We beat her there and got on the list. She arrived and we were seated shortly after, getting a good booth. We talked all through dinner and did a lot of catching up. We got a Plain camping trip on the calendar and decided we need to do regular dinner get togethers. By 9:00 we took off and Ky and I walked back to my car so he could get his briefcase. He took off on foot and I headed home. I got ready for bed and one of Plum’s teeth was coming out so Eric yanked it. He slept in the other room because he was going to bed early. I fell asleep around 10:30.

Tuesday 9/9, I got home a few minutes early and took the dogs out then Susan arrived. Eric came home from hiking and started making dinner. Susan and I watched two episodes; a cockroach one and one about some witchy teenagers that had Ryan Reynolds in it and Laurie from That 70’s Show. They were both kind of funny, especially the cockroach one. Susan took off promptly afterward and I booked my ticket to go to Kauai in November. I think Kass will go too. I did some other stuff and went to bed late, like midnight.

Monday 9/8, P had plans to surprise Eric with Seahawks tickets for the Broncos game so I went home early so I could sneak them into the mailbox. I told him I was home early because I wasn’t feeling good. He got me some stuff for my fake stomach ache and brought me water in bed. I started working and after a while asked him if he’d checked the mail yet. He went out and when he opened them up he was in shock. He called P to thank her then called Sky to see if he wanted to go to the game. He was so excited. I got back to work then took the dogs out. I worked on transferring and organizing pictures for Plum’s profile. I had a few mish mash things for dinner, showered and got ready then took off for my haircut. It had been forever since I last cut my hair. He had some ideas so I let him have free reign. We talked the whole time and we were both in hysterics. The use of the word goblin had me really laughing. I was done shortly after 8:00 and headed home. I worked on Plum’s profile and image event and eventually got it uploaded. Updated this thing, snuggled with Plum who seemed to be a little sick, and went to bed.

Sunday 9/7, We were up early and got the dogs going. We took off for downtown around 8:30, found parking and walked down to Pike Place. We walked through and looked at everything. It’s been years since I’ve been down there so it was interesting to see what’s down there. We stopped to see Michael at Rachel’s Ging Beer and we talked for a few minutes. We continued on our way and eventually went downstairs and walked through the comic shop. I almost got Susan a Mulder name tag. Back upstairs and we walked down the street and waited outside the SAM. We had tickets to the NW Artists, Mystics and Modernism…I think. Can’t remember the name. Eric really liked it, but it was just kind of ehhh for me. We headed home and when we got home Eric made me lunch then took off to go get some new shoes. I hung out with the dogs for a little bit then went to the mall to see if I could track down some towels for the hall bath. I went to Macy’s and found some that were okay, but then went to JCP and found some that worked better so I got those. They are closer to the chartreuse that I wanted. I went back to Macy’s and got two fuchsia-colored bathmats and a queen size comforter that was on clearance. I went home and let out the dogs and Eric arrived home shortly after. I threw all the towels in the wash and did some other chores because Sky, Chrystol, and Stef were coming over for dinner. We went to the store and ended up being really annoyed with each other and not talking once we got home. Eric started prepping dinner while I folded laundry, etc. I helped a little until Sky and Chrystol arrived. We just did a bunch of salads and apps. We had a cheese plate with fruit, hummus and veggies, a tomato and watermelon salad, the butter salad, a sautéed veggie salad with a homemade aioli, and lastly a beet salad. We all ate until we were stuffed then sat on the couch and watched youtube videos including the hip hop country video. They all took off shortly after 9:00 and we did some minor clean up before getting ready for bed.

Saturday 9/6, People started stirring and waking up around 8:45. Day and Seb went fishing and Jess and I sat in the living room then decided to go to Kohl’s to get the souvenir hat for Seb’s friend. It took us a while to figure out how to hide the key where they would find it but a French note was the answer. We headed out, but Kohl’s didn’t have a Seahawks hat so I suggested the outlet mall. We found a sports store and hit the jackpot. Got a hat and headed back. Day started on breakfast and Seb showed Jess his fish. We ate breakfast and I ate way too much. So much that later in the afternoon I passed on ice cream and I didn’t even eat dinner when I got home later that evening. After breakfast we put on our suits and headed out to the lake. I got on the paddle board and they got on the air mattress and I pulled them around the inlet. It was fun and we all talked about the number of our sexual partners and in Jess’ case the number of countries. Back on shore we hydrated then decided to go on the jet ski and we had a lot of fun. We sunbathed for a little bit and sat in the shade on the deck. It was very relaxing and the weather was absolutely gorgeous. Jess and I went on the jet ski one last time for the year and tried to find a house that was dumpier than Brad’s and couldn’t find one, though there were a few runners up. We cleaned up and got dressed then they took off for Ken’s and I went home. Eric was home when I arrived and I took it easy for the evening. I think I watched Shanghai Noon and did some computer stuff. I watched a little SNL before falling asleep.

Friday 9/5, I was so happy to be heading home. The weather was beautiful and I took the dogs for a walk. I packed my bag and told Jess I would leave later than planned because of traffic. I showered, had a salad, and took off shortly after 7:00. I still got there by 8 because traffic wasn’t bad at all. Seb was in the hot tub so I met him and he’s very nice and polite. Better looking too. Day needed some stuff from the store so Jess and I ran down there and chatted the whole time. We got milk and worms for fishing. Back at the house Day was busy making dinner. We sat outside and chatted for a bit then back inside. All of a sudden we heard a motor on the lake and I guessed it was Billy because he’d seen my car in the driveway, and sure enough it was! The neighbors were all yelling at him which was hilarious. No jet skiing after dark, apparently. He came inside and he was all jacked up and happy, which was good. We finally ate dinner and it was after 9 I think. We put on a movie (Stuck in Love) and Billy went home. I managed to stay awake for the whole thing, but crashed after it was over.

Thursday 9/4, I don’t know what I did, but I think I ordered my bathroom accessories. We were between dog jobs, so that felt good for a night. Pop was arriving the next day.

Wednesday 9/3, When I got home from work Eric had taken Kona for a walk and agreed to go with me on another walk with three of our pups. We took Nyx, Clancy, and Plum over to the blueberry farm and did the half loop. They fixed the part that always gets flooded and it looks a lot better. Plum did well considering it’s only her second time on leash ever. Back at home Eric made dinner for the dogs while I cleaned up pears and trimmed up the roses. I cut a bunch for the house and Sherry was out so I gave her six or seven for Sam. Eric and I went up to the GO and got a bunch of stuff then Super Supplements to pick up some deodorant and razors. Eric made me a salad when we got home and I shuffled loads of laundry and made the bed. I talked to Mailen and her and Justin adopted a puppy and wanted to know if we could watch her for a week and a half later in the month. I finally sat down around 9 and cruised around on the net and updated this.

Tuesday 9/2, Susan was at the house when I got home and we got all settled in for X-Files. We got through two episodes: part 2 of the ‘to be continued’ episode (731?) and Revelations. There were some plot holes in Revelations. Eric made us a salad for dinner and it was delicious! Partway through the second episode it started raining really hard and water was pouring into the pool room. Susan was worried it wouldn’t clear up before she needed to leave to go home, but eventually it let up and she took off. I showered and Plum came in and out of the shower and by the time I was done she was pretty wet, but oh so cute. She is so funny. Eric wanted to mess around and wrote me a big long note, which was hilarious. We did all that for an hour or so, showered, then let the dogs into the bedroom. Eric went to sleep in the second bedroom and I did some stuff online while the puppies cuddled with me. Went to bed after 11.

Monday 9/1, Eric and Aubrie were up before I was. I went inside and wasn’t even hungry but ate a hearty helping of the caramel rolls. I showered and got dressed and a bunch of us sat in the living room and chatted. I packed up my stuff and we cleaned up the fish house. Derek and Clint came over with their kids and we were all able to do a little visiting before we had to leave. We took off and headed to the airport with Mom, Dad, and Aubs. It was an easy drive and we made it to the airport with plenty of time to spare. We dropped them off and said our good byes then we headed to the nearest Best Buy so we could get a headphone jack splitter for the dvd player. Apparently the closest BB was at the Mall of America, so that’s where we went. After picking that up I went into Nordstrom Rack since it was two doors down but walked out empty handed. We headed back to the airport, turned in the rental, made it through security, and stopped for some lunch. There is a new restaurant and it was excellent. I had a caprese salad and the desserts looked amazing, but I refrained since I had already hit my limit over the weekend. We decided to walk through the concourses and ended up where all the small commuter flights depart. We turned around and walked back to our gate, boarded a little while later and had a decent flight. We watched an X-Files episode and Shipping News. Eric had moments of freaking out because of minor turbulence. Mom picked us up from the airport and dropped us at home. The dogs were very excited. I took them out and Eric ran to work to pick up Kona, a coworker’s great dane mix, for a few days. I hung with the dogs in the bedroom and Eric kept Kona out with him. He made me a giant salad for dinner. I watched Bachelor in Paradise and showered afterward. Went to bed.
