Monday 11/30, Eric wasn’t feeling good and P was sick too. He was home before me and when I got home we balanced his checkbook then he started dinner. I did stuff online like read my course email and Christmas shopped. Blair came over to drop off Maya and Sapphy for the week since Derek was going in for surgery to remove a tumor. We ate dinner and tried to wrangle dogs since the visiting pups were a bit anxious. We both ended up in bed early. I stayed up for a little bit of reading.

Sunday 11/29, Eric was off to work early and I was determined to finish and submit my final project, which I did by 12:30. I did some lounging and eventually got dressed and went over to Susan’s to watch XF. We got through a few episodes. I went home and fed the dogs. Eric was working a 12 hour day so I knew I wouldn’t see him for a few hours. I didn’t get my nap so I was tired and ready to go to bed early.

Saturday 11/28, I crawled into bed with Aubrie and we talked until we were beckoned for our French toast breakfast. We did some more coloring then decorated the tree. It was just the three of us and we had fun. Eric was putting all the bad pictures in high traffic areas. Dad, Aubrie, and Eric played rounds of ping pong while I continued coloring. For lunch Eric made me the most delicious thanksgiving sandwich and everyone was jealous. Aubrie and I finished our coloring and we said it looked like Harry Potter on acid. For the last hour of our time at home Aubrie and I went out on the patio to curl up by the fire and watch Lana videos. The rest of the crew came out to join us and we put on Queen videos. It was time to go to the airport so we packed up the car and headed down. We had plenty of time to make it to our gate and I managed to get some work done while waiting for the plane. The flight back was uneventful and luckily landed early. We got our luggage, car, and headed home. I was thrilled I didn’t have to go to work the next day. Eric went to the store when we got home while I relaxed with the dogs. We went to bed late-ish.

Friday 11/27, We all did our own thing for breakfast and I had cereal and fruit. I got to sleep in again, I think until about 9. We all just kind of took it easy; football was on, Aubrie and I started our Harry Potter coloring, Mom was getting xmas décor out. Mid-day we started the trip down to Phoenix to take Papa home. We went to Benihana for lunch to celebrate Aubrie’s birthday and her and I got free salads courtesy of our chef. On the way home we decided to go to the Biltmore so Eric could check it off his list. It is stunning and there’s so much to see. We found this little history room upstairs that was so cozy. We wandered around for about an hour then headed home. We snacked a little as the evening progressed and turned on Goonies. Aubrie and I continued coloring while we watched. Dad went to bed and the rest of us went to bed when the movie was over.

Thursday 11/26, We had breakfast and lounged around before getting ready and taking off for a hike. Alishia and I mostly walked together and the baby, too. Aubrie had arrived by the time we arrived home which was around noon, I think. We had her open her birthday presents after she held the baby. She liked her coloring books and liked the presents from Eric. Mom put out a bunch of snacks and we all hogged down. I did a little homework off and on and eventually went to take a nap. Aubrie came in and woke me up at 4:30 saying dinner was almost ready. I was like “What?!” knowing it was early since usually we eat super late like 8 or 9. We all sat down and had a nice meal and dessert afterward. While Alishia packed up the car Aubrie and I sang Disney songs to the baby and it got her to stop fussing. Alishia and Co took off since they had a show the next day. Aubrie and I went into the guest house and I crawled in bed with her and we talked for a long time. Eventually I went back into the house and went to bed.

Wednesday 11/25, Eric was up before me and I finally forced myself to get up at 9:00. Dad made French toast and I limited myself to two pieces. We took our time getting ready for the day and eventually headed out to My Sister’s Attic where we perused then went to the second hand store and I got Eric a Pendleton shirt and made him try on a few hilarious shirts. We went out to Mom and Dad’s favorite nursery and walked around for a long time looking at plants, pots, and large stones (onyx and petrified wood). We drove out to Horny Toad for lunch and had a lot of fun and the most delicious strawberry shortcake. We went back to the house and Eric took a nap. I was going to take one but dad was super chatty. We talked right through my imaginary nap then started watching To Wong Foo which Dad had never seen. It was about half over and we finished it. Dad thought it was funny, which surprised me. Pete and Alishia arrived around 9:30 and I got to hold the baby first. She is a very good girl and doesn’t hardly make a peep. Very smiley. We ended up staying up for a while then off to bed. I was tired since I didn’t get my nap.

Tuesday 11/24, Eric had the day off and was in a terrible mood. I had a short work day and left at 3:30. I helped finish up a few things, showered, threw the rest of my bag together, fed the dogs, and we were out of there 15 minutes early. That was good because traffic was pretty bad getting to the airport so we used up that time. Eric was snappy in the car so I just stopped talking to him. I told him he didn’t need to come. We checked our bags and got through security without me talking to him the headed to the C concourse so I could go to Beechers for a sandwich for dinner. He finally apologized and told me what was going on. Stress mostly. We made it to our gate and they had already boarded most of the plane. We were on the bulkhead which made for a nice flight. I read a magazine then worked on my last real estate project for about an hour. We landed right on time despite taking off late. Got our bags and mom and dad picked us up. We talked all the way back to the house and continued until after midnight. Finally went to sleep in my favorite bedroom.

Monday 11/23, I got off a little early and went to Susan’s to watch X-Files. She was making cookies and we ate a bunch of those while we watched the second episode of the Lucy Lawless episodes. At home I continued cleaning and packing since we were leaving the next evening for AZ. I think we went to bed early in anticipation of needing to be on top of our game for the next day.

Sunday 11/22, Susan came over for X-Files and we finished Season 8 and started 9. After she left I got going on finishing the dahlias in the back yard, mulching, and digging up. It took quite a while and I was glad when I was done. I cleaned my bathroom then ran to Office Depot. I got some reading done as well as more laundry. I finally took a break and watched Happy Christmas and Save the Date and now I have a new crush. Mark Webber. I watched Last Man on Earth without Eric since he was at work. He was exhausted when he got home. It was a 13-hour day for him.

Saturday 11/21, Eric was up and out of the house early. I didn’t want to get out of bed yet so I watched some stand-up comedy and a terrible movie called Christmas Crush. Awful. I went between reading the RCWs, digging up dahlias, mulching canna, doing laundry, cleaning the kitchen, etc. for the entire day. I also watched some more stand-up. Eric was home in the late afternoon and we watched a little Jim Gaffigan then got Mexican for dinner. Mine was pretty mediocre, unfortunately. Back at home we watched SNL clips on youtube before going to bed around 11.

Friday 11/20, After work Eric and I talked for a little bit before he took off for a meeting. I ate a little dinner, showered, and took off for my massage. It was phenomenal. Eric was home when I got home. I relaxed for the rest of the night.

Thursday 11/19, I went to Glassy Baby and got a bunch of Christmas presents taken care of. At home I did some reading of the RCWs. Very dry and redundant. Not much else.

Wednesday 11/18, I think I went to Susan’s for X-Files again. I finished my homework project and turned it in. I believe I watched a movie to celebrate. I don’t remember. I think I got everything downloaded for my next project.

Tuesday 11/17, Crazy windy day. Went to Susan’s after work and we squeezed in three episodes and Mulder seems to be getting into a better mood, thank god. I left her place by 7:20 or so and made it home in 10 minutes. I had a little dinner, talked to Eric about how he’s feeling about his grandma (not great) and work. I did some work and got a good amount done considering I only had a little over an hour before getting into bed.

Monday 11/16, I stopped at Costco on the way home to get Aubrie some fun coloring books for her birthday. When I got home I took care of the dogs then started on my homework, which I did until 9:00. I showered and got into bed and watched Hick until 11:00. Very disturbing.

Sunday 11/15, I was up around 8 and texted Susan. She arrived around 9 and we got in an episode before Bruce came to pick up Dex. We got in two more and Eric came home from his meeting. Susan left around noon and Eric left to go down and see his grandma who he hasn’t seen in like 10 years. I did a lot of work on my second project which felt good but I wasn’t even half way done. Eric picked up a pizza on the way home so we had that for dinner. I went to bed kind of early again since I didn’t get in my weekend nap.

Saturday 11/14, I knew I needed to get a bunch of homework done but I procrastinated for a good part of the early morning, including going to Costco and Peggy’s to pick up groceries I’d forgotten to grab the day before. Back at home I did some studying while Eric lounged around. I was tired so I laid in bed for a long time trying to take a nap then watching a movie (Madame Bovary – ehh). For most of the rest of the day and evening I studied and took a quiz. I watched another movie but I don’t remember what. I went to bed earlyish.

Friday 11/13, Bad experience with the HR person at one of Dad’s leads then the whole Paris bombing thing was pretty bad. I met Bruce at the house for Dex’s drop off and not much later I went to Mom and Dad’s to celebrate Dad’s birthday. We had Thai and Alix was home from CO and in a pretty sour mood. The rest of us enjoyed ourselves though. I headed home and did some reading in bed before going to sleep.

Thursday 11/12, May have landed several new clients, some from Dad and a couple from P’s women presidents’ group. I went to Susan’s after work and we got through three episodes and Jon got us pizza! Yay! Mulder was in two of the episodes. I went to the store then home, showered, and into bed to update this and do homework. I got a perfect score on my first project.

Wednesday 11/11, I don’t remember what I did, but I do know I got through some real estate reading before bed.

Tuesday 11/10, After work I went over to Susan’s for a quick X-Files episode and it was a terrible one. The villain became known online as Butt Munch and Butt Genie. It was terrible. When I got home I finished my project and submitted it. That felt good. I allowed myself to watch Jane Eyre (again). Eric came home and we talked for a little while. We had a full day the next day and went to bed not too late. Drama with Alix in the morning and talked to Mom about it later in the evening.

Monday 11/9, I worked for most of the evening on my CMA project and pretty much got it done by the time Eric got home from work.

Sunday 11/8, We were supposed to go to the property but Eric ended up having to work. I worked on my project for most of the day and made a lot of progress. Eric was home in the evening and we watched Last Man on Earth.

Saturday 11/7, Rio was dropped off late morning. I took my quiz and got all the answers correct. I had plans to work on my first project for most of the rest of the day and I got a lot done but was nowhere near being done. I finally had to take a break because I started getting a headache from staring at my screen. I watched Far From the Madding Crowd and tried to take a nap. Eric arrived home by 7:00 and we went to Costco but they were closed. We went to the store and got stuff for Eric to make turkey burgers. They were delicious and we watched Unfinished Business, which had some funny parts. We went to bed by 11.

Friday 11/6, I had to run an errand after work then home where I showered and ate a little something. It was Kassie’s party at her shop so I got ready for that and left around 7:00. There were quite a few people there I and went around and said hi to everyone and had some food. They had a contest to find all the bare breasts in the place and I came super close at 41 (there were 44). I ended up staying until 10:30 and had a nice time chatting with Kassie’s crew. When I got home Eric was still up and we talked for a little while before going to bed.

Thursday 11/5, Eric and I talked for a while before he left for a meeting and I worked on homework for the evening. I got a lot done. I went to bed a little early since I still wasn’t feeling great.

Wednesday 11/4, We had work meetings so I was off work early and over to Susan’s by 4:30. We talked about their house purchase and other stuff before starting X-Files. We watched three episodes and I left at 8. Eric fed me a little dinner when I got home and I eventually showered and got into bed.

Tuesday 11/3, When I got home I had a little energy so I kept going with my laundry and homework and managed to make a dent in both. I rewarded myself by watching Jane Eyre again so I could drool over the Fassbone. I then watched some youtube interviews with him and Mia. Eric came home and we talked for a little bit before I went to bed.

Monday 11/2, I was up at 7 with Breezy due to an upset stomach. We got it all figured out and I got back in bed and watched I Hate Valentines Day. It was meh. I got up and showered and ready, a first in three days. I ate a little lunch then Eric and I both took off for our respective works. It was only a half day for me then home where I started laundry and homework. The washer totally overflowed all over the floor so I spent time cleaning up that mess, then talked to Dad for 40 minutes. I did some more homework, ate dinner, and cleaned up the kitchen. I showered then watched Jane Eyre and updated this.

Sunday 11/1, We were both home all day. I mostly watched movies in bed again since I was still feeling not so great. I watched Decoy Bride, Woodlanders, No More Happy Endings, and maybe one more. Later in the day I did a lot of homework, the practice test, then took my quiz and got all of the answers right. Eric made meatballs for dinner and they were excellent. I talked to P who told me to sleep in and come in late.

Saturday 10/31, I slept all the way until 8:30. Fantastic. Except that I felt like shit. Eric went to the store to get some food for me since he had to work at 1. I napped for most of the morning then finished The Switch. For the rest of the day I basically just watched movies all day and did a tiny bit of homework. I watched Jane Eyre (2011 version), A Royal Affair, and The Very Thought of You which was ridiculously horrible. Eric came home late and I was ready for bed and asleep shortly after.

Friday 10/30, I felt sick in the morning but okay for the rest of the day until it was time to go home. My throat hurt so when I got home I showered and climbed into bed and skipped my homework. I took some nighttime alka seltzer and watched English Teacher, then put on The Switch and fell asleep before 9. Eric came home and it woke me up. He took care of the pups and let me sleep.

Thursday 10/29, I went home and started on homework until talking to Auntie Lauryn for her birthday. I spent most of the evening on my homework and made good progress. Took it easy for the evening and went to bed early.

Wednesday 10/28, I went to Susan’s after work so we could watch an episode. We could only do one since Eric was closing and the dogs needed to be let out and fed. We talked real estate briefly then watched the first monster of the week with Doggett. I headed home and took care of the dogs. I heated up some leftovers and ended up being lazy for the next couple hours. I watched Best Man Down and Eric came home right after. I showered and got into bed. I felt super tired.

Tuesday 10/27, Eric had a meeting that night so I would be at home solo for the evening. I showered and got into my pjs by 6:30. I got through a chapter of my homework and finished before 8. I watched “For A Good Time, Call” and it had its moments. Eric came home and we talked a little before I went to bed.

Monday 10/26, Eric was closing at work so I was on my own when I got home. I clipped some spent dahlias then got down to doing my homework. I did my practice test then the real one and I got a perfect score. I felt great. It took me about two hours and I was thrilled to be done. I showered then got into bed and watched Liberal Arts. Eric came home from work and was having a hard day so we talked for a long time then I finished the last few minutes of my movie. I went to bed around 11.

Sunday 10/25, Eric was out early for a work meeting and I was up by 8. I did a few things around the house until Susan arrived for X-Files. We talked for a long time before getting through the first two eps of season 8. She left after that and I ate an apple before going to the GO. When I got home I studied then watched two movies on Netflix: Drinking Buddies and Last Night. I got back to studying, had dinner, dessert, went to the store, then back to studying and finished around 9. I showered and got into bed. We watched Last Man on Earth and I updated this.

Saturday 10/24, We were up before 8 since I had the fireplace cleaning that morning. Eric told me to stay in bed with the dogs and he’d deal with the cleaning. I watched Golden Girls. After the guy left I showered and got ready to go work at Kass’ shop in Georgetown. I met Josh who buys for Rejuvenation and has helped Kass photograph and stage in the past. She gave me a run down on her system and the process then left me to it. There were quite a few people who came in; however, I only made one dinky sale. I did some research for Kassie on some pieces she had but mostly just sat around and tried on some jean jackets. She was back by 5:00 and I took off for my massage. I had to go all the way around since 90 was down to one lane. The massage was excellent and we talked about Whistler a lot. When I got home Eric was putting the finishing touches on a steak dinner. I was starving and made quick work of it. I watched my favorite murder shows and stayed up to watch SNL, but it was a dumb repeat.

Friday 10/23, Good day back at work and I stayed a little late. Eric left shortly after I got home. I did some studying, laundry, made dinner, then Kass called. She asked if I could work in her shop the next day; I agreed. Showered and made the bed then climbed in to watch Dateline.

Thursday 10/22, We were up after 8 and got moving. Dressed, packed, and checked out by about 9:30. We went to Pure Bread for breakfast but they had a water main burst but said the Function Junction location was open. We hit the road and stopped there for some pastries. We made it home right at 2 and the pups were very happy to see us. I had plans to do homework but ended up being lazy instead. We sat on the couch and watched tv and I took an afternoon nap. I answered some emails and went to bed early.

Wednesday 10/21, We got up and went into town like usual and got a nice breakfast pastry at our favorite place. We went back to the room and changed for our walk at lost Lake. We went around once and took our time and chatted. Back at the room we laid down and I wanted to relax and nap but Eric wanted to go watch a game so he did that. I just watched cooking shows and Eric was back after a few hours. We went in the hot tub even though it was the cooler one since they had drained it earlier and it was still heating up. We got dressed and decided on Peaked Pies for dinner, though it took us a while to find it. We got another chocolate for dessert, from Roger’s, and went back to our room. Eric was all jacked up so I helped him out. We watched tv late and went to bed.

Tuesday 10/20, Eric was up early and went to Pure Bread without me. I made him go with me later so I could get something to eat. The sun was out so we decided to drive up to Pemberton. It was a beautiful drive and we went through town. We ended up going into a little grocery store because there was a sign in the window that said they had Old Dutch potato chips. Yum! We drove back down to Whistler and walked to the Cultural Center for lunch. I got the venison taco and Eric got the salmon panini. Mine was excellent and Eric was ready to order a second round of the salmon. I got a bunch of gifts in the museum shop. We went back to our place and went for a hot tub. We went in the one that looked like balls. I sat in the steam room for a minute too. We relaxed for the afternoon and watched the Canadian border patrol show. We were both pretty full from lunch so we decided on a late dinner, leaving around 8:30 to head down to the village. Just as we reached the edge of the village a couple standing on the sidewalk asked if we saw the bear, which we had not. We had literally just walked by it and not even noticed. It was trying to get into a trash can and we were about 30 feet away from it when we saw it. I was like “Can we get out of here?” and Eric was like “This is the highlight of my trip!” We walked to Earls and I was super nervous about our walk home. Dinner was very good and I thought it was hilarious that Earls is where the old Hard Rock Café was. We walked back and luckily the trail was busy and no bear sightings. We watched more tv before going to bed.

Monday 10/19, We were up around 9 which felt good to sleep in. We got ready and walked into the village. We decided to try Pure Bread for breakfast pastries and it was an excellent choice. I got a little blueberry thing and it was fantastic. We walked up to Hot Buns but they’re closed for the season. I think we walked back up to our place then took the car out to go explore. We found Lost Lake which brought back a lot of memories. We walked over to the dog beach and out onto the dock. It was overcast but really pretty. We went back to the room to warm up then into town to walk around and go to shops and eat lunch at Zogg’s Dogs. The food was good but service was a little lacking. A theme so far (except Pure Bread). We each got a hot dog and shared the poutine. It started raining harder so we walked back up to the hotel and relaxed for a while. I think we watched tv or maybe napped. For dinner we walked into town and decided on Pubhouse where I had an excellent salad and we shared a delicious dessert. We walked back and had an adult evening before going to bed.

Sunday 10/18, We got up around 8:30 and took our time getting ready and packed up for our trip to Whistler. We left around 10 and made pretty good time to the border. After crossing we started looking for a place to eat but were coming up empty. Add to that I had to go to the bathroom. I was a little edgy. We finally stopped at a Tim Hortons which was cheap but did the trick. Back on the road and we made it to Whistler around 3. Our unit wasn’t ready yet so we drove down to the village, parked, and walked around for an hour. We headed back to Intrawest and went up to our room which hilariously had two twin beds. We were like “Really?!” so they came and put in a king. We got settled then walked back down to the village along the trail. We walked and walked and looked at the shops and I went down memory lane. For dinner we decided on Avalanche pizza and while the pizza was good the guy was an asshole to most of the customers. Afterward we hit up Roger’s for some chocolate. Back at the resort we went in the hot tub for a while and watched tv. It was a delightful evening.

Saturday 10/17, Eric was up early and out to work and I got up shortly after. I got Roux’s stuff ready for him to go home then his new person came to pick him up. After they left Mom came over and gave me an interesting light made of super thick rope. We talked for a while and she left before Rio was dropped off. I showered and got ready then went to Kassie’s place so we could have lunch. We went to Talulah and it was delicious. We caught each other up and had a really nice time. I may go to work for Sky so we’ll see what happens there. I went home and took care of the dogs and laid down for a nap. Eric came home for a few hours then took off for a meeting. Rio was picked up and I had an apple for dinner. I did a couple chores then watched The Longest Week on Netflix. It was okay. Eric came home after 10 and we watched some of SNL together.

Friday 10/16, I got a little bonus at work which was good and then P and I said goodbye until the 26th. Eric and I are headed to Whistler and she’s going to Maui. I went to the DMV to get my new tabs then the bank for Canadian cash. At home I did some things around the house and a little homework before showering. I watched Dateline and updated this. Eric was home by 10. I went to bed shortly after it was over.

Thursday 10/15, I went to Susan’s after work and we talked for about an hour about real estate and my job situation. We popped the tops on a couple Kozyshack puddings and got to finishing Season 7 of X-Files. Scully is pregnant and we definitely know who the father is. Horny Mulder. I headed home and arrived at 8, ate an apple, showered, and got into bed. I talked to Mom for a bit then Eric came home and we talked before I went to bed.

Wednesday 10/14, After stewing all night and morning I was going to let P know exactly what I was thinking about this whole AJG deal. When I got in I told her and she felt the same way so basically she said the deal is dead and then we moved on with our day and actually got some things done. Eric was going down to Tacoma and Gig Harbor to talk to his Mom and Bill (hadn’t talked to either of them in 5+ years). I took out the dogs, had a little dinner, and took off for Southcenter to meet someone to sell my steamer. I stopped at the store on the way home then talked to Dad for a while about my ideas. Eric called and we talked for a few minutes so he could let me know he was headed home. I got ready for bed and looked at a few things online.

Tuesday 10/13, Eric was off work a little later than normal so I did some laundry and cleaning up around the house when I got an email from P about the new job and it really set me off (“you have to play by their rules”). I was so not interested and went around and around in my head for the rest of the night. Eric came home and we talked about it a little. I took my test and I aced it. That put me in a good mood. I updated this and watched Far From the Madding Crowd again.

Monday 10/12, Went to lunch with the CKC crew and saw the facility. Eric had been home all day and for dinner made teriyaki chicken and it was excellent. We talked and I did some homework and went to bed.

Sunday 10/11, We got to sleep in until 8:45. What a luxury! Eric was up and getting things ready for his game day. I went outside and did a bunch of yard work then did some homework. Eric had to make some phone calls after the game which made him feel down. I talked him into going for a walk with the pups so that was nice. We went to the store and got stuff for Eric to make patty melts for dinner. We ate and watched Last Man on Earth then went to bed.

Saturday 10/10, Eric was up and out of the house early and I got up shortly after to get the dogs all settled. Susan came over at 9 and brought donuts. We talked for a while then watched three episodes. Susan left and I got Roux ready to go do his home visit. It went very well except all the throwing up in the car. I managed to get some chores done before Eric got home from work. We went to the store and he started cooking. I worked on cutting flowers and cleaning up. Chrystol and Sky showed up by 5:30 and we chatted and I held baby Henry. Dinner was excellent and we sat and talked in the living room for a while. They left around 9 maybe. I was so tired that I fell asleep before 11.

Friday 10/9, I don’t remember, but I think I did some homework and watched Dateline.

Thursday 10/8, I had a happy hour thing for work so P and I went to the Black Duck Cask place and everything was excellent. I was there until almost 7. Eric was at a meeting when I got home. I showered and got into bed. Eric came home and I basically went to bed early after hearing that the AC interview for Roux went very well.

Wednesday 10/7, Got more bad news about our other large client. Nuts. Time to start planning! When I got home Eric was making dinner and it was delicious. I redid all the vases in the house with dahlias and roses. I decided to take a field trip and went up to the GO to get some stuff then down to Silver Platters where I got the new Lana album, an old Catherine Wheel EP thing, and Far From the Madding Crowd. When I got home I told Eric about work and he had to give me a pep talk. I showered and got into bed. Things will be fine but I just need to start getting my ducks in a row. I watched a little tv, updated this, and talked with Eric before bed.

Tuesday 10/6, Eric and I did his finances and while they weren’t terrible there was not as much progress there as I’d hoped there would be. We had a long talk about it and left the conversation in a good place. I had leftovers and an apple for dinner. We got a good app for Roux so I knew I needed to work on the long bio. First I did my second quiz and while I didn’t do as well as I’d hoped I would, I learned something from my mistakes and I need to move on. Next I worked on the long bio and finished after 11 and sent it off to the applicant. I didn’t go to sleep until almost midnight. I had a bad night with Brizo needing to pee four times (fucking pears!) and Nyx throwing up at 6 am. Sleepy.

Monday 10/5, P and I went to Monique’s to help pack and also so Eric could come over and pick up the elliptical. When I got home dinner was ready and Eric had the game on. During half time we unloaded the machine and it was super heavy. I went to do some homework but put off taking my quiz. Eric and I watched some post-game stuff then I showered and got into bed. Went to bed before 11.

Sunday 10/4, We were up early to take Roux to the vet in Kent for his neuter and rabies vacc. Back at home I had breakfast then climbed into bed and watched Leap Year and Straight As. I finally got up at 1:00 and had some lunch. I did some homework then we went to pick up Roux. He was okay, but whimper-y. Back at home it wasn’t long before Theresa arrived with my big box of apples. I did more homework and we watched Last Man on Earth. I went to bed shortly after. Rio was picked up the next morning instead of that evening.

Saturday 10/3, Eric was up early and out of the house. I got up shortly after and took care of getting the dogs ready and fed. I got quite a bit of cleaning done by 9:45 when Susan arrived. I talked her into going to an estate sale where I got a couple little things. Next we went to meet a guy I was selling a crate to. We finally went home and watched two episodes of X-Files and it looks like Scully and Mulder are boning. After Susan left I had some lunch and continued doing some laundry and chores. I did homework until Eric came home from work. He was home for a little bit before going to a meeting for the evening. I watched Comet then made my bed. Eric arrived home just in time to kill a big spider in the bedroom. We talked for a little bit, watched some SNL, then I fell asleep about 20 minutes later.

Friday 10/2, We finally finished with the big client so we closed the office early. Eric was home when I got there. Rio was dropped off for the weekend then Eric took off. I did some homework in the evening since he was out for the part of the evening. When he came home we watched a little tv together then I went to bed.

Thursday 10/1, Eric was gone for most of the night so I took care of the dogs and got ready for my massage. I did some studying as well. My massage was amazing and Eric was home when I got there. He told me about the new position at work. Went to bed early because I was super tired.

Wednesday 9/30, I went to Susan’s and we watched two episodes of X-Files and both were pretty good. I went home, ate some dinner, and wrote Roux’s bio. I took a shower and got into bed. I was tired from spotty sleep the night before.

Tuesday 9/29, When I got home I folded laundry then gave baby Roux a bath. He was so good about it. After dinner I buckled down and started my new real estate course and took my first quiz. I got 9 out of 10 because I misread the last question. Nuts. Should have been 10. I got ready for bed and wanted to sleep early but Roux started throwing up, likely due to the dewormer.

Monday 9/28, P is back and forth on the whole acquisition thing. We’ll see where we end up. At home I took out all the dogs and little Roux was very happy to see me and made all his puppy peeps. Eric made a delicious steak dinner and we watched tv together, including the Last Man on Earth from the night before. I did some reading on my X-Files later in the evening and went to bed not too late.

Sunday 9/27, We were up early with the pups and Eric went to the store before I even got out of bed. He got me a donut to get me going. I got dressed and did a few things before taking off to Susan’s for X-Files. We talked about real estate and mortgages for a while then we got going on the show. We watched the Cops-style episode which was hilarious then a terrible video game one. It was so terrible. I took off because I knew Eric had lunch ready for the game at 1:00. Eric grilled chicken, made deep-fried French fries, and a salad. He watched the game while I took a mini-nap. I set my alarm to get up to go do the new puppy pickup. I was super early so I just waited and finally Janell and Troy showed up so we chatted until the puppies arrived. Little Roux is such a cute little puppy. I gave him and Sylvester some treats then headed home. Eric helped introduce the puppies then I took a shower. Eric left at 6:15 and I settled into the living room to update this and get Roux to be calm. I watched Last Man on Earth and went to bed by 10:30. Eric got home shortly after.

Saturday 9/26, Eric got up early and went to work and since I couldn’t go back to sleep I took out the dogs and fed them then crawled back into bed. I rewatched the last two X-Files episodes to try to make more sense out of them, and it helped. I got out of bed and started on a project I’ve been wanting to do for a couple months. I wanted to move the dvds out of the hall closet and to some other place and put the shelves back in to use for storage. I made some great progress then headed out to an estate sale in Sammamish. They were all out of the Xmas village items, but I did find a busted up one in the trash so I took that one to repair it. I got a ton of magazines (like 50 of them) for free and also a box fan and nice candle both for a quarter. Not what I went for but a nice little haul for fifty cents. Next I went to Target to get shelf paper and also found a blanket for $6 and some chair covers for mom on clearance. I stopped at the store on the way home and got a bunch of fruit to make a fruit salad. Eric came home and I was excited to show him my progress and my finds. He was very impressed. I did some laundry, etc. then laid down to rest. Eric left at 5:30 and was gone until 10:30. I worked for a little bit then watched 48 Hours. Eric and I watched a little SNL together before going to bed.

Friday 9/25, Very glad it was Friday. P and I were on a real roll about our client and what we would and would not do work-wise. When I got home Eric was already there. We talked and spent some time together before he took off for a meeting and I showered and went to Costco. I got some sheets, fuel injector cleaner, a blanket, and some other necessities. Back at home I watched Dateline and Eric was home after 10. He went to bed because he had to work early in the morning.

Thursday 9/24, I was an emotional mess all day. Felt like garbage, Eric and I had had an argument in the morning, and for the client that is going away our contact was not being a friend. I was really sad about how it was all ending. Never thought I would feel that way about work! Eric had lots of stuff after work so I was at home alone until about 9 and when he returned we talked for a while and he apologized about earlier that morning. We also talked about how I was feeling sad and down. He listened and offered encouraging words. I went to bed early.

Wednesday 9/23, I was originally going to go to Susan’s to watch X-Files but Eric had stuff to do after work so I went home to meet Bruce. Dex’s drop off went well and we talked in the backyard for a little bit before he left. Eric came home shortly after and I think we had dinner together because he was tired and decided against going to a meeting.

Tuesday 9/22, I have no recollection of my evening. I’m sure Eric was off doing something and I was at the house by myself for the evening.

Monday 9/21, Alix called while I was on my way home and she was crying again. When I got home I took out the dogs, got the mail, and was on the phone for over an hour. When I got off the phone Eric told me he wasn’t going to Jim’s after all. We went up to the GO to grab some stuff, then I heated up some dinner. We watched Secret Life of Walter Mitty and talked a little after. I showered and got into bed and Eric went to sleep too.

Sunday 9/20, Susan came over early to watch X-Files and brought donuts. We got through three episodes, including the (apparently) final Samantha episode. Eric left to go to Mom’s to do some work and I took off a little after Susan left. When I got there they were all done and talking in the living room. We talked about our trip to Charleston, Savannah, and New Orleans in February. Mom and I went over to the neighbors so I could meet the new little puppy, Delilah. She was adorable! Eric left and I stayed a little longer to chat then headed home. I was more motivated than the prior day and got my pictures rehung in my bathroom and some in the hallway. Eric had a game that day so he made a ton of food. Amanda came and picked up Tucker and we turned on the game shortly after. It was kind of like a Mexican soup and I ate a ton. With tortilla chips and sour cream. I wasn’t terribly interested in the game so I went into the bedroom and watched Labor Day. I thought it was pretty good. I also registered for my real estate course, so it’s getting real. We went to bed early-ish.

Saturday 9/19, I stayed in bed for a good part of the day napping and watched movies. I didn’t even feel guilty and just wanted to relax all day. I think I may have worked and maybe Eric made dinner. I really don’t remember.

Friday 9/18, We got bad news on our big client so P shut the office early. I went home to let out the dogs and ran around trying to get stuff done. We both got ready to go to Peter and Stef’s for dinner. We made it up there right on time and visited with Peter until Stef got home. We had a very nice time and didn’t leave until 11 or so. Eric had to work early so we didn’t want to stay too late. When we got home we went to bed.

Thursday 9/17, Eric was home when I got there and was cleaning. I cleaned up pears and cut dahlias before folding laundry and looking at courses at BC. I ate dinner then showered and got into comfy clothes. Eric went off to a meeting and I waited for Amanda to arrive with Tucker, formerly Velox. We had a nice visit and she stayed for about a half hour catching up. She left and I cleaned up a little then went in the bedroom where I tried to get all of the dogs to settle down. Eric finally came home and we caught up and he played with Tucker. We went to bed early. Clancy did a bunch of throwing up in the middle of the night.

Wednesday 9/16, I went to Susan’s after work and we got through three episodes, including the one with creepy Donnie, the hair washer. I left around 8 and headed home where I ate an apple and cheese for dinner. I was so tired that when Eric got home I tried to stay awake while he talked to me. I fell asleep by 10.

Tuesday 9/15, I got home early and got my new stuff on craigslist and Eric and I did his finances. We also trimmed the dogs’ nails before he started dinner. I went to the store to grab a few things. I worked for a little bit before we ate. I continued working, talked to Mom, then Eric wanted to give me a massage. I showered then he got down to business. We messed around until after 10 then got into bed.

Monday 9/14, We woke up just before 10 and finished our movie from the prior night. Then we had breakfast and watched Amy Schumer stand up and late night interviews. We pretty much just did that all day. I got ready and packed up and was on the road by 3. Eric told me he’d be at Jim’s until late so I wanted to get home by 4 to let out the dogs. I unloaded my car with all my loot and started cleaning and rearranging my room. I did some laundry, cleaned up pears, cut dahlias, and moved around the sprinkler. I had a snack, fed the dogs, paid bills, filed, etc. It was very productive. I watched some DwtS then a girl came to buy my little mid-century modern nightstand that’s been in a closet for over a year. Eric came home around 9:30 and we talked briefly before he had to do a few things. We talked for a few minutes when he finished then I went to bed.

Sunday 9/13, I was up by 8:30 and went inside where Dad was already getting started on the French toast. I had a couple pieces then went upstairs to pack and get dressed. Dad and I managed to get the chair into the backseat of my car and I packed up the rest of my stuff. I said bye and took off for Jessica’s mom’s house. I made decent time and arrived during the Seahawks third quarter. I sat outside for most of the rest of the game. Carlo came over and we ended up talking for a long time in the living room. Jess and I broke away and went on a long walk and talked about our “next steps” in life. We helped Day put stuff up in the attic and relaxed. We split a burger at some point. Day made a late dinner and we watched a movie called Barefoot or something. We went in the hot tub for a long time and got out around 11, maybe? We watched stand up because Jess wanted to know who Amy Schumer was. I fell asleep not long after she put it on.

Saturday 9/12, I woke up and went inside where Mom was getting ready and we talked about our day what we were going to do. I went upstairs to shower and get dressed and soon we were headed to Wenatchee. We had a nice drive and went to the Huckleberry Café (or something like that) for breakfast. It was incredibly good. I got the “small” breakfast with some bacon, an egg, and a gigantic pancake. Next we went to the antique place we discovered last time to check it out. I got mid-century ice bucket and Mom got a Seahawks outfit for DL. Next up was the little floral shop with knick knacks then my favorite store. They still had the standing ashtray so I bought it. Next we went and found the Veterans’ Warehouse, per Larry’s recommendation, and it was so scary. Like, yikes. I’m sure there was a dead body in there somewhere but it would take you a week to find it. Mom got a couple bud vases and we got out of there, running into Larry on his way in. We went to one last place, where I’d seen some mid-century dressers on craigslist, but came up empty. We went to Larry’s to pick up my chair and it looked great. I was so happy with it. I picked out a piece of fabric for my foot stool and luckily he had a ton of remnants to choose from. We were there for about an hour and met his wife. We headed home, stopping at the store on the way. Back at home I relaxed for a little while in my apartment then went down and had a pear while we sat outside on the deck and talked. We all got ready to go to dinner and headed into Leavenworth to go to Gustav’s. I hadn’t been there forever and my dinner was excellent. We sat on the deck and it was so beautiful outside. We headed home and I went straight to bed, after reading for a little bit.

Friday 9/11, I had to go over to AJG to talk to one of the directors about job placement and all that. It went well and I was on the road by 4:00 to Plain. I arrived at 6:30 and Mom and Dad were in the motorhome relaxing and getting dinner ready. I told them about my day and Dad had a lot of tips about going into this situation. Dinner was very good and we did a little more talking after dinner and covered depression and other things before calling it a night. Dad helped bring up my stuff and I got into bed. I had lots of bad dreams about working at AJG and having my car stolen. I had a very restless night.

Thursday 9/10, Susan came over to watch a couple episodes of X-Files, including the one where Mulder and Scully finally kiss. Susan left after we finished two episodes and I showered and had a half of a sandwich for dinner. I left to go to my massage and it was excellent. We chatted a little more than we have for a while. Back at home I got ready for bed and went through emails.

Wednesday 9/9, I was home alone for a while when I got home since Eric was at his therapy appointment. I did a few things around the house and brushed the dogs. I had an apple and manchego again and Eric came home. We chatted about his day. I put on Sideways and worked for over an hour. I got into bed, updated this, looked at stuff online.

Tuesday 9/8, I had a pretty good day. I felt a lot better and for some reason was motivated. When I got home I changed the bedding and went outside to pick up pears and cut flowers. I walked to the store to pick up my prescription and some apples. I had an apple with manchego for dinner and did a few more administrative things before showering and getting into bed. Eric got home late we talked for a few minutes before going to bed.

Monday 9/7, I was the last one to get up but finally did by 9 and showered and got ready. We left to go over to the shed for breakfast and it was a gorgeous day. The humidity was gone due to the storm the prior night. We all sat around and talked and soaked up the sun. We ate and socialized a little more before moving stuff into stinky and saying goodbye to everyone. We went back to the house and loaded up then headed back to the city. They dropped us off at the airport and we made it in plenty of time. We went to our favorite MSP restaurant and each had a delicious panini. Our flight left on time and the flight was non-eventful. I watched a movie. Mom picked us up from the airport and we chatted the whole way home about the weekend and Alix’s breakup. Eric went to the store while I showered and caught up on Bachelor from the night before. I caught the finale as well before going to bed.

Sunday 9/6, I slept in a little and Kelly was in and out all day helping with getting the shed set up for the party that night. The boys were all golfing. I relaxed and took it easy all day. I wanted to make my salad but the lettuce was all bad so Aubrie and I went to the store so I could get some more. My salad was very filling but not as good as I was hoping. Kelly took a nap (with a little visit from Bryce who was lookin to hook up or something) while the rest of us went on the boat with Dad. We went between the speed boat and the pontoon. It was a lot of fun and we were out there so long that when we docked we only had 15 minutes to get ready for the shed party. It was a very fun party with food, a band, bon fire, pictures, dancing, etc. We had a hay ride with Eric driving and towing an insanely long trailer. It was a lot of fun and Eric did a great job. Back at the shed the band was setting up. They were really great and I did a lot of dancing. Derek was super drunk and getting a little handsy which had a lot of us cracking up. My 4 year old self would have been very jealous. We were there until midnight, or later. I don’t know. There was a little drama with the motorhome door not opening but luckily Eric got it open before Dad had to break a window. We drove back to our fish house and went to bed.

Saturday 9/5, We woke up by 9:00 and had some errands to run, especially getting Kelly underwear. Eric, Kelly, and me took off to get supplies for the party that evening, as well as food trays and rolls and things for lunch. We got Kelly some “silky movers” to tide her over for the trip. We passed the antique shop and mentioned that we all had an interest in checking it out but that we needed to get the food back since it was lunch time and the heat and humidity were so high. We had some lunch and then checked on Aubrie who was held hostage trying to do the slideshow video. We snuck out to do a few more errands and Christian went with us. During our trip we went to the antique store and there were a few things I would have picked up if I was at home and Christian found a WWII Japanese spy camera that was so tiny it looked like a keychain. We went across the street to another place where Christian bought an old film sign and clock and I got a mid-century trivet. We did our errands, including Eric and Christian getting the 10 cent coffee, then back where we hung out some more. Soon we were loading up on the coach busses to see the farm and cemetery in Stewart. We wandered around and the house and farm look decent; much better than in recent years. We walked over to Cactus Jack’s and spent the rest of the evening there which was quite an experience since the AC didn’t work and the space was in pretty rough shape. We had a decent evening but we were all ready to get back to Dick’s by the end of the evening. Back at their house a bunch of us hung out on the deck talking about Grandma’s siblings. Derek needed to get home so Eric drove his truck and I followed in Stinky and it was bad. I drove with my head out the window. At home we went to bed.

Friday 9/4, Kelly and Mark had to work so we all took our time getting up and ready. I had a donut hole and some yogurt for breakfast. We got ready and when Kelly got home her, Eric, and me went to Costco for booze and salads. We went back to pick up the kids and headed to Byerly’s for more booze, food, and salad stuff for me. We went to the drug store and pup store to check out the selection. Next we went to Yum for lunch and got a great table up front. We all got stuff we loved and I ate a bunch of Eric’s fries and Aubs’ mac and cheese. We had a nice leisurely lunch then headed back to the house to pack up to go to Dick and Roxy’s. Aubrie and Christian took off in Stinky (Mark’s car that had a dead mouse or something somewhere) and the rest of us took our time getting ready and packed up to go. We got on the road and chatted the whole way. Kelly took a nap but woke up and realized she forgot to bring underwear. We decided to ask Roxy the best place to go in Litch. We arrived a little late but we didn’t miss dinner. We ate and socialized and I kept waiting for things to get crazy but everyone was so subdued and laid back. We still ended up going to bed late. Mark, Kelly, Eric, and I slept in the fish house. Aubs and Christian slept in the motorhome with Mom and Dad out at Dick’s shed.

Thursday 9/3, We got up early to shower, get ready, finish packing, etc. for our trip to MN for Labor Day. The driver was late, which ended up being a good thing since a hummingbird was stuck in the pool room and couldn’t get out. After much hand-wringing and chasing from one side to the other, I had the idea to put a bowl of water and several bright dahlias on the table next to one of the open doors and luckily within about five minutes he came down for a snack then flew out the window. I was so relieved. Our driver arrived and off we went to the airport. We got through security quickly since they had the dogs out sniffing. We headed to the N gates and each got a bagel sandwich before boarding. We left around 10, had a great flight since Eric took an anti-anxiety pill, and I watched Secret Life of Walter Mitty which was excellent. Kelly picked us up at the airport and it was so hot and humid, but I didn’t mind. We went back to the house and had cheese and crackers and talked. Mark arrived home a while later and we decided to try Uptown for the evening. We went to Stella’s to sit on the rooftop deck and have drinks. We ended up getting some jalapeno cornbread with tons of butter that was very, very good. Aubrie texted that they had landed so Kelly and I left to go pick up her and Christian at the airport and brought them back to Stella’s. It was after 9 and we were all getting hungry so we went down to Chang Mai Thai for dinner. It was Christian’s first Thai experience and he enjoyed it. Aubrie and I shared a Thai basil stir-fry and finished every last morsel. It was almost 11 when we finished up and all headed back to the car. Four of us rode in the backseat, but their car is so spacious it wasn’t all that noticeable, plus it was only a five minute drive back to their house. We ended up staying up late and talking, and us girls went down in the basement to set up Aubrie and Christian’s bed and it is so cute down there. I hadn’t been down there since 2002 since Kelly never wants us to go downstairs. We set up a nice little bed and Aubrie was so excited, especially since Mr. Bojangles wanted to sleep down there with them. Kelly went to bed and we finally turned in around 1:00 am.

Wednesday 9/2, When I got home I was glad to see Eric had been working all day and the house was in great shape. We went through all of his finances and requested tax transcripts before starting dinner. I cleaned my bathroom, put away laundry, and started packing for our trip to MN for Labor Day and the H*ukedahl reunion. I was busy until 9:30 then climbed into bed.

Tuesday 9/1, At home I showered and got ready for dinner with Jess up in Everett. Traffic was decent and I got there on time. Some charming local gentleman sidled up and wanted to start a conversation. Luckily a table opened up in the bar and off they went. Jess arrived minutes later. We got a great table and had a very nice dinner. We talked the whole time and caught up on everything. We took off right around 9:30 and I went to bed when I got home.

Monday 8/31, Eric was out with Jim after work so I was on my own for a few hours. Throughout the evening I started not feeling good even though my favorite Bachelor in Paradise show was on. By the time I went to bed I was feeling a little better.

Sunday 8/30, We both slept in then fed the dogs and I got back in bed. I fell asleep until 11:30 and made myself get up. I did some filing and stuff around the house until we were ready to get some things done. I watched Superstar and worked for a few hours and finished my project. We started our project to put in the new light in the kitchen. We had to go to Home Depot to get a bracket thing, then stopped by the stores on the way home to get groceries. We got the light up and it looked great. Eric made dinner and we had hot dogs with caramelized onions and I put cream cheese on mine. Before long it was time for my favorite show: Bachelor in Paradise. I went to bed when it was over.

Saturday 8/29, Eric was at work all day and I spent a good part of the day working and watched a movie: Lies and Alibis. Mailen and Justin dropped off the girls for one night and we talked for a little bit. I worked some more and watched Mrs. Doubtfire. Eric came home and wasn’t feeling good so he said I was on my own for the party that evening at Hisam and Roberto’s new place. Stef and I met up before going over and had a chance to catch up quickly. Their new place is beautiful, in Madrona. There were a couple familiar faces, but Stef and I pretty much just chatted with each other and she filled me in on what’s going on with her. It was pouring rain when we arrived and when we left, which was good since it has been such a dry summer. It was midnight when I got home and Eric was already sleeping. I watched tv for a few minutes then went to sleep.

Friday 8/28, I was very happy to be off for the weekend even though I knew I’d have to work for a good part of it. When I got home Eric told me he was leaving in an hour to go to a meeting. He made us dinner with hamburger Peggy gave me. I didn’t clean up anything that evening, and instead watched Romeo + Juliet and worked. I also watched Dateline so I was up for a while. Eric came home super late, like 10:30. Knowing he had to work really early the next morning, I knew he was going to be very tired.

Thursday 8/27, Eric and I carpooled to and from work and Susan was home when we got there. We watched two episodes of X-Files and did a little chatting. After she went home I had some rice for dinner and worked. I watched a movie and went to bed late.

Wednesday 8/26, I went over to Susan’s after work so we could catch up on X-Files. We did a lot of catching up then got to watching. We finished Season 6 and watched the first episode of Season 7. I headed home and had dinner. I may have worked for a little while and watched a movie. I don’t remember.

Tuesday 8/25, When I got home Eric filled me in on the information he discovered about the Land Rover and what he wants to do once it’s running and registered again. I showered and got ready to go over to Mom’s for Jake’s birthday. Eric decided to come and we stopped to get a couple gift cards on the way. Dinner and visiting was fun, even though Kass was very sad about Tahini being very sick and not having much more time. We looked at Mom and Dad’s pictures from their trip and Eric loved them. We left a little before 9 and on the way out I asked Sky about benefits and if he needed any for any of his companies. He said yes and gave me a contact name. At home we got ready for bed and I worked for a little bit and started falling asleep.

Monday 8/24, Good day at work. Eric was off with Jim so I took care of the pups and did a couple things around the house. I ate dinner, watched some tv, updated this, and waited for a guy to show up from craigslist, but I half-expected a no-show based on the lack of response to my emails. Well, he did show up and took the mattress pad so that was great. Eric came home right around 8 when my Bachelor in Paradise started.

Sunday 8/23, We were up early and Eric was off to lead a meeting. I did a few things around the house then Bruce came and picked up Dexy. Once Eric got home we went into the front yard to do some of the spaghetti lines. It didn’t work out so well for the blueberries so we have to see if there’s another issue. We changed and headed into Issaquah so we could take back a necklace Eric gave me then went to Herfy’s for lunch. We went home and both took a nap. I watched Girl with a Pearl Earring and worked a little. We went to the store and Eric made some Portuguese dishes before my Bachelor in Paradise started. It makes me very happy, which is hilarious.

Saturday 8/22, Eric had to work early so I was up with the dogs and had a few things I wanted to get taken care of. I did some watering and a little yard work then got dressed and went to the Rack. I got two new pairs of shoes and a shirt. I went to Mom’s when I finished and told them about my plan to turn the pool room into a studio to rent out. Mom thought doing it under the house would be cheaper and a better option. We talked about the options and likely cost. Jerry, Pam, and Amelia came over for lunch and Dad got pizzas. I stayed for a while after they left then went to see Eric. When I got home I did a few things and relaxed. Eric arrived home and tried to keep the dogs at bay while I napped. I watched Birdman while Eric went and helped out a coworker get her car fixed. I watched 48 Hours then went to sleep.

Friday 8/21, I felt great when I got off work, other than P’s still talking about our company buy-out and I’m not thrilled with what that will look like. When I got home Dex had arrived and Eric and I talked for a few minutes before I went into the bedroom to lie down. A couple minutes later Eric came in to tell me Dex wasn’t in the backyard. I threw on pants and took off down the street calling his name. He was in the backyard two doors down but didn’t want to come to me. He ran back to the house and went under the fence where Eric and Dad had dug to put in the irrigation. I drove around the block to find Eric to let him know Dex was back. I laid back down and tried to sleep but the dogs were not allowing it. Then Brizo peed on the bathroom rug. Arggg! And Eric made dinner for himself but not me. Arrrgggg. He left for a meeting and I was in a terrible mood. I heated up mashed potatoes for dinner and watched Skeleton Twins. Eric came home and I was still grumpy. I watched Dateline then fell asleep.

Thursday 8/20, Eric was off at Mudstock and I worked and watched Castaway. I’d been wanting to watch it for a while and finally felt okay enough, mentally, to watch it. Eric came home just as it was ending. I went to bed after the movie was over.

Wednesday 8/19, Eric was working in Issaquah for the first time so we carpooled. Fun! I don’t really remember what we did in the evening. I think I caught up on chores and paperwork.

Tuesday 8/18, I hurried home to see the kitchen progress. Dad and Eric got the cabinet in the kitchen moved and the room looked so much better and bright. I love it. Dad had picked up Mom right before I got home. Eric and Dad also got the irrigation panel and lighting timers set up. Since Mom and Dad were heading to the property that night we went and picked up some teriyaki for a quick meal. Dad loves that place. We talked throughout dinner then we wrapped it up and they headed east. Eric and I went to Mom’s to water her plants because they were on a 10-day tour of the Grand Canyon, Zion, etc. We were there for an hour or so then went home where we found the new lights were on. I watered the plants where we don’t have the irrigation lines hooked up yet. I showered then we made up for the night when I got sick. I updated this then went to bed.

Monday 8/17, I still wasn’t feeling great when I woke up and had to go down to Gallagher. That was fine and throughout the day I started feeling a little better physically but mentally feeling a little meh. When I got home I took it easy and put away a bunch of food from Peggy. I finally finished my book after like 7 months (Marriage Plot) and ate a bunch of cheese for dinner. I watered plants in the backyard and watched Bachelor in Paradise. Eric came home and we had a long talk after my show was over. We finally said goodnight at 10:30 and I updated this for a while.

Sunday 8/16, Eric had the day off so we all got outside and got moving on getting the irrigation finished. I helped bury some lines, turn on the valves to check the heads, collected rocks to put in the bottom of the valve box, and helped Dad with the lights. He ended up leaving a little before 3 to head back to the property and we quickly cleaned up and headed south to go see a movie. We were too late for Spy so we saw Trainwreck instead. It was okay, not as good as I was expecting it to be. I had popcorn. When we got home I watched Bachelor in Paradise and about half way through I started not feeling well at all, like I was going to throw up. Eric was pissed because he was supposed to get laid. He was kind of a jerk and I felt even worse before bed. Luckily I was able to sleep and felt better throughout the night.

Saturday 8/15, Eric had to work early. It wasn’t raining so Dad got outside and started on the yard again while I worked inside getting the house cleaned up and doing laundry, dishes, etc. We took a break for lunch then Dad took off to pick up more supplies. I set out the lights where I wanted them. Eric came home and was in a decent mood and helped Dad for a while. He left for a meeting and I showered and got ready for my massage. Dad was on his own for dinner and getting supplies from Home Depot. I got back after 9 and Eric was home late. Dad went to bed shortly after I got home. I watched tv and fell asleep during SNL.

Friday 8/14, It finally rained, a heavy most-of-the-day rain. Unfortunately Dad couldn’t do much work because of it. When I got home I asked Eric if he would make meatloaf for dinner and he agreed. We went to the store and Dad was home when we got back. Eric made dinner while I cleaned up a little. We ate dinner while watching the Seahawks game. They lost. It was after 10 by the time it was over and Dad had gone to bed. Eric and I went to bed shortly after.

Thursday 8/13, Eric had the day off and texted me and called to let me know he was miserable. He was tired and Dad wasn’t there because he was meeting Sky for lunch with the prior CFO of EC. When I got home a lot had been done but Eric was not in a very good mood. He left for a meeting and Dad and I went and got teriyaki again. Eric was home earlier and I think we just hung out and talked for a little bit before going to bed.

Wednesday 8/12, Dad rented a trencher to start getting the layout for the lines set and Eric was running it when I got home. Dad was super sore and tired. They were done and loaded up the trencher on the trailer and Dad and I took it back to Redmond and made it back before Eric left. We had leftovers for dinner then I worked for a bit and Dad went to bed early. I watched Bachelor in Paradise while I worked and it was over just as Eric got home. Talked for a little bit then went to bed.

Tuesday 8/11, Dad and Eric were in the yard when I got home and Dad had already put in the housing box for the new irrigation system. Dad wanted to grab something to eat so we got teriyaki and took it back to the house. We ate in the dining room and afterward Eric went to a meeting. Dad and I looked up places to get a trencher then I started watering the front yard. Dad pruned some trees for me and kept me company. Went in the backyard and he trimmed the pear tree. I picked up all the pears and rolled up the hose and it was 9:00. I showered, we each got on our computers for a few minutes, and I got into bed. Eric stayed late after his meeting. I updated this.

Monday 8/10, When I got home I was not happy to find an overdraft notice in the mail. When Eric got home I asked him about it and it led into a long conversation about finances, his mental health, and getting everything straightened out. We got out the checkbook ledger, computer, bank statements, and receipts and started the process. It took us about an hour to get everything current and he was so nervous. Afterward he started crying and thanked me and we had a long discussion. After we got everything squared away I showered and watched the Bachelor in Paradise episode from the night before. Eric watched some of it with me. I worked while I watched and got into bed around 10:15. I read for 20 minutes then fell asleep.

Sunday 8/9, Kristel and I woke up around 8:45, watched Pete and Alishia leave, then got up and dressed to go to the hardware store for coffee. When we got back the big breakfast was ready but it was definitely the smallest big breakfast in reunion history. I ate and Kristel and I both packed up our stuff, and off we went around 11:15. I got home at 1:45 and Eric helped me unload all of the tables and the rest of my stuff. He gave me my birthday presents: a ring and necklace. I like the ring but the necklace isn’t really me. He’d been cooking all morning in preparation for the visit with Sky and Chrystol and baby Henry. We picked up our prescriptions then hit the road to Ballard. We were a little early so we sat in the car and talked for 15 minutes. We met baby Henry but he was asleep when we arrived. I held him for a long time as he slept, then Eric took a turn. Sky heated up some of the enchiladas Eric made then the berry cobbler for dessert. The main topic of conversation was Henry’s arrival process and how awful it was, and the subsequent post-partum process which was even worse. Things are better now and I’m glad for them. Henry woke up and we played with him and I got a lot of smiles and laughs. We watched Bachelor in Paradise for an hour then we left. We talked about the visit on the way home and how well it went. When we got home I got into bed and responded to emails.

Saturday 8/8, This was a property day with no plans except to relax. I slept in, had a breakfast of fruit, read a little and hung out upstairs. I just relaxed all day. I got on my suit and headed down to the swimming hole. Dad, Sky, and I hung out down there for an hour or so then I went up and Kass and I played corn hole and neither of us won because neither of us could get even one shot in. Kass made guac and I chowed down. We made bets for who would show up first, Auntie Heidi and Queen B or Kristel. Kristel was the winner, but only by about 5 minutes. We all talked on the lawn and driveway, then I went down and got Dad to let him know guests had arrived. We had a baby shower for Alishia, which was fun. We played games and made guesses about the delivery, did a mad libs thing, she opened presents, and we had cake. It was fun and I think Alishia appreciated it. Kristel and I hung out and talked and soon it was dinner time. There were no mosquitos and we sat outside and ate. No fire due to the fire ban. We went to bed a little after 11 and talked for a little while before falling asleep.

Friday 8/7, I wanted to go into Wenatchee and had plans to do that. I went in the motorhome and Dad made pancakes for breakfast. I went upstairs to quickly get ready then Kass said she definitely wanted to go. I had to wait for like 40 minutes. I should have just gone because she always takes forever even when she says she’ll get ready quickly. We finally got on the road and Sky wanted to go so it was the three of us. We went to Out on a Whim first and I bought two mid-century tables because they were half off and I wanted to see if I could sell them on craigslist. I also got some mid-century modern tongs. Kass got an awesome low metal mid-century table that I was so jealous of. Next we went across the street to have lunch at Lemolo. I had soup and some of Kass and Sky’s salads. I called Larry to see if we could stop by and do introductions since Kass wanted to meet him. We went around and Kass got a couple things. She was pissed that the Thonet mid-century modern chairs had been sold (all 50 of them). We went back into Wenatchee and I got a baby blanket for baby Henry at Gilded Lily. From there we hit several organic markets then Haagen, Target, back to Haagen, and finally headed home. Eric texted me a picture of Marty going to his new home. We had dinner then a second little birthday party for me. Kass and Sky got me a mid-century modern architecture book, a gift card to Nordstrom and the table Kass had bought earlier in the day. I couldn’t believe it. I was so excited. We didn’t stay up late and ended up going to bed a little after 10 I think.

Thursday 8/6, I woke up early and went back to sleep until 8:30 or something. Dad made French toast for breakfast. I helped him with some of the sprinklers and did some tree pruning. Mom was cleaning trailers and I kept myself busy. In the afternoon Kass hadn’t shown up yet so we took off to go to the fruit stand. We ended up passing her on the way out and said we’d see her back at the property. We picked up Alishia at the hardware store (she’d been working) and talked all the way to the stand. We looked around and I got some of the delicious golden crunch things then Mom bought us tickets to go through the petting zoo. It was so sweet. All the animals are rescued and the pigs love to have their bellies rubbed. We petted some of the ponies as well. We stopped at the store on the way home to get a few things. We dropped off Alishia to drive home and while Mom and I were going down the straightaway a bear came right up to the side of the road and back down when he saw us. He was big. Mom and I were freaking out. After we drove by him he went across the road and ran up the dirt road. At the property we all hung out and relaxed until it was time to go to dinner at Headwaters. On the way we saw another bear, a smaller guy. We all sat in the cars just watching him alongside the bed and breakfast place. We had a nice dinner and I called Eric before we left. Back at home we all pretty much went to bed since it was about 10. Sky didn’t arrive until after midnight I think.

Wednesday 8/5, I got up at 7:00 shortly after Eric left for work and got the dogs situated. I watered the plants in the front yard then had breakfast. I updated this, got some of Martin’s paperwork together, watched Cops, watered the back yard, went to QFC for an angel food cake, and packed up for the family reunion. Mom came and picked me up to go to lunch and we went to Tutta Bella. She’s on a new diet so we shared a pizza and salad. It was a nice lunch and after she dropped me off at home I got the rest of my stuff in the car and Marty’s stuff organized and hit the road. I made decent time and arrived right before 4. Alishia and Pete were already there and Dad told me Kass wouldn’t be making it until the next day. We hung out and had burgers for dinner. We had a little mini birthday party for me and Alishia got me some adorable teapot salt and pepper shakers with silver tops and mom and dad got me the mid-century modern fondu set from the prior weekend. We ended up watching some tv in the motorhome until it was time to go to bed around 10.

Tuesday 8/4, When I got home Eric was cleaning. We did the dogs’ nails then brushed Clancy and Marty. I fed the dogs and we waited for the applicants to arrive to meet Martin and do introductions with their dog. Bruce called shortly before they arrived and wanted to talk to me about Martin and his decision making process in why he doesn’t want to adopt him. The applicants arrived and everything went really well and they want to complete the adoption. Finally! They left and I wasn’t all that hungry so I ate an apple with some Beecher’s flagship. I showered and got into bed. I was so tired. I wrote some emails to let everyone know about the meet up and also responded to Genie’s email about Eric. I fell asleep before 11.

Monday 8/3, After work I hand washed some clothes, watered some plants, fed the dogs, and got ready for my night of Bachelor. I watched the beginning of the previous night’s episode then watched that night’s episode. I worked while I watched. Eric came home in the middle of it and wanted to make a date for later that night. After it was over I showered and we spent some time cuddling etc. It was about 11:30 when we got to bed.

Sunday 8/2, We all slept in again, this time until almost 9:00. We sat in the motorhome and watched some tv while we all had breakfast. I drove down the road until I could check my email and made arrangements to do the home visit later that evening. Back at the motorhome we just hung out and watched some HGTV shows while we had lunch. I left a little before 1:00 and it took me a while to get home due to crazy traffic through Gold Bar and Sultan. When I got home Eric had flowers and a card for me. I just wanted to relax and he wanted to chat about my weekend. I took a little nap. Eric was meeting up with work people while I did the HV. It was a little cluttered but Marty will be fine. I called Genie on the way in and filled her in on the HV and also about Eric. She was supportive but shocked. I missed the first 30 minutes of Bachelor in Paradise but thoroughly enjoyed the rest of it. Went to bed.

Saturday 8/1, We all slept in and I didn’t get up until 8:30. I went in the motorhome and Dad made pancakes for breakfast. We all got dressed and ready and headed into Wenatchee. First we went to my favorite store and I got the mid-century footrest that goes with my other chair for only $20. I called Larry on the status of my chair and he let me know the following week it would be ready, then he told me all of my favorite sellers were moving to a new space but to not say anything. We all wandered around for a while then left to go to Gilded Lily where mom and I got some baby stuff for Alishia. Next up was Hastings where I got six dvds for like $25. We went to an rv supply store for something, then to Costco for gas, then to lunch at the Public House, over to Home Depot for some flowers and bark, then headed home. We all got our suits on and went down to the swimming hole. It was so warm out the water felt great. We sat in there for about an hour until the sun went below the trees then back up to the deck to sit and talk while we dried off. I went upstairs and showered then into the motorhome while Mom and Dad made dinner. We had a nice dinner and watched some House Hunters. We all went to bed around 10, except once I got upstairs I put on Quantum of Solace and watched that until about midnight.

Friday 7/31, Eric was out when I got home. I worked on packing for my weekend trip to Plain. Eric came home for a few minutes to say good bye to me before I left. Traffic was oddly light. I made great time until Genie called to fill me in on the AC interview with Marty’s applicants. That was a 20 minute delay, but the call went well so we’re moving forward. I made it to the property by 9:30 and sat in the motorhome with Mom and Dad talking until late. We talked about me feeling dissatisfied with my existence and Dad was asking all of these questions trying to get me to focus on what I want to change. It was helpful. He went upstairs with me to show me the new tv and surround sound setup. We all went to bed around midnight.

Thursday 7/30, Mom and Dad left in the morning. I got home before Eric and got the dogs situated. It was extremely hot outside. I answered some emails and researched some stocks and funds. Eric left and I had some dinner before starting on work. I watched the rest of Skyfall, then Uncle Buck. We got ready for bed and I updated this.

Wednesday 7/29, Got a great app for Martin, so I had to work on his long bio later that night. When I got home Eric and Dad were sitting in the courtyard talking. Since Eric had the day off he and Dad got a new water line run under the house and two new hose bibs put in. Yay! Mom came home and her and Dad got ready for dinner with Mark and left around 6:30. I had leftovers, Eric took off for a meeting, and I started working on the LB. It took me longer than I expected and afterward I started watering the plants, which took me 1.25 hours. Eric came home and we got in a minor tiff but figured it out quickly. Mom and Dad came home, we talked for a little bit then we all got ready for bed and turned in.

Tuesday 7/28, Mom and Dad were coming to stay for two days so I was able to leave work a few minutes early and called them on my way to see where they were. I got the dogs outside and kind of settled before they arrived. We took two of the dogs for a walk then went to Jak’s for dinner. It was an excellent meal and we mostly talked about Eric. We went home and sat in the living room and talked, mostly about Thanksgiving and Christmas plans, until Eric got home around 10. We all talked for 30 more minutes then started getting ready for bed. I was tired and slept okay.

Monday 7/27, I beat Eric home and cleaned up after the dogs. He was only home for a minute before he jumped on the phone. I needed to go to the store so I set off on foot and knew I’d see him later that night after his meeting in West Seattle. On the way home I saw Sherry and we talked for a long time before I went inside, fed the dogs, called Dad, and started dinner. After dinner I spent time in the kitchen cleaning up then put away some laundry. I showered and got into bed for the Bachelorette finale. I updated this before starting on some work.

Sunday 7/26, I got up and instead of working out did a bunch of housework and chores. We cleaned out the shed until some bees started flying out, which stopped us. Eric took off to the dump and I started vacuuming and doing laundry. It felt good to get a lot done and it was nearing lunchtime so I cleaned up and got dressed. Bruce brought Martin home, and also brought Tom and Pippa with him. We all went out in the backyard so the pups could run around after the long drive. Dex, Pip, and Marty all played and chased. Bruce and Tom took off with their dogs and shortly after we left for Rattifest at Robinswood. There were only four of us volunteers, including Janell, Blair, and Becky. It was pretty skinny. Lots of dogs showed up though, and we got to see Ruby, Ember, Perri, and Percy (whose people just had a baby and she loves the baby!). We had a nice visit, though the dogs all need to lose weight. We went home to let out the dogs then set out for errands. We went to the GO, Super Supplements, Office Depot, and QFC. Eric made dinner when we got home and I took off for my massage, which was much better than the last one. When I got home I ate dinner and it was so good. I’ve missed his cooking. I ate way too much. I put on Skyfall and started working again. A little after 10 I wrapped it up and got into bed.

Saturday 7/25, I was up before 5 with Nyx, Eric was up and out of the house by 6:30, I got up and fed the dogs, ate some breakfast, and went back to bed. I woke up at 9:30, got ready, and left to get my oil changed. I went to Mom’s afterward to see the progress on her bathroom and the living room. Everything looks really good. We talked for a while with Dad then I took off. I stopped by to see Eric at work for a minute then back home. I started my day of working and watching movies. First was Swimming Pool, then Midnight in Paris, and lastly Whale Rider. I got a ton of work done. I worked out in the yard for 40 minutes and got a lot cleaned up and done. Eric was out for the evening. When he got home he watched Dateline with me in the living room. I got into bed and managed to stay awake for SNL but fell asleep after about 20 minutes.

Friday 7/24, I stayed late at work and Eric was out most of the evening attending various program events. I stopped at the store and got some manchego and rice crackers to have with my avo for dinner. It was delicious. I went for a long walk after I got the dogs settled. At home I worked and worked and watched Chocolat. After Eric got home we talked about our day and I went to bed not long after.

Thursday 7/23, When I got home Eric and I did the dogs’ nails then talked for a while about the fam reunion at the property and that he wouldn’t be going. We went for a walk with the dogs then home to feed them. I steamed some broccoli and one last carrot for dinner. Eric took off for a meeting and I spent time in the bedroom researching stocks and funds. I talked to Mom, then Dad and Mom before Eric returned. Watched Dateline and updated this.

Wednesday 7/22, I went to Susan’s after work and we watched two episodes of X-Files and ate cookies. One was the one with Mulder’s writer neighbor, with whom Scully almost gets it on, the second was the alien baseball one. I went home and ate some raw carrots for dinner and watched Wedding Crashers. I expected Eric to be home by 9, but he didn’t get home until 10:30. I was irritated but also tired so I went to bed.

Tuesday 7/21, Eric was working late so when I got home I let out the dogs then went for a three mile walk at the park. I had a dinner of steamed carrots and cauliflower and for dessert I put some cookies on my new baking sheet and got those all baked up. I vacuumed and loaded the dishwasher then showered and into bed to watch Grease. Eric came home and I helped him choose an investment option for his 401(k). Watched tv for a little bit and went to bed.

Monday 7/20, Dexter and Marty took off with Bruce in the morning. Felt quiet with just the three dogs in the house. Eric went into work late so I knew he’d be home late. I was tired from not enough sleep over the past three nights so I laid down and took a little mini-nap. I fed the dogs and laid back down. When Eric got home I got up and made myself a little dinner while he went for a run. I watched Bachelorette then got into bed.

Sunday 7/19, Up early again and Eric took the noisy ones out for me. I got an email about the free toilets I’d put on craigslist and luckily someone came to pick them up by 9:00. We got dressed, I called Mom to tell her I’d decided against the window since it was too hard to coordinate getting it to our house. Eric and I planned a day in Tacoma for a little memory-lane trip. We went down Yakima, went to UPS, walked around, went to a bakery where I had an excellent lemon poppy seed mini loaf, went and found the house I wanted to look at, explored other neighborhoods with historic homes, went to Day Island and Stillacoom, went out to see Eric’s Dad’s gravesite, then headed home. It was fun but I had a stomach ache so that wasn’t very fun. The weather was warm but nice. At home we both laid down and took a nap and Eric went to a meeting later that evening. We got ready for bed a little earlier than usual since we had to be up really early the next morning.

Saturday 7/18, We were up super early because the dogs hate us. Eric went to work early and I got up and fed the dogs, watered the plants, then took off for a walk at the park. I did three miles then ate breakfast when I got home. The dogs spent a long time in the backyard since it wasn’t too hot yet. I took a long nap with all the dogs mid-day. When I woke up I went to Marshall’s to get more lunch Tupperware and Ace for tomato cages for the dahlias. (Ace is closing. Wahh.) Eric was home when I got there and we decided to see a movie and have pizza for dinner. We went down to Tukwila to my new favorite discount theater to see Hot Pursuit. We both knew it would be bad and it was. We got a few laughs in and overall it was nice to get out and do something together, since it’s been a while. At home we hung out and Eric went to bed early. I stayed up to watch a little SNL then to bed.

Friday 7/17, Eric installed two toilets at Peggy’s in the morning. Dex was dropped off in the afternoon so he had arrived by the time I got home. Eric came home shortly after and we sat outside and talked. I texted Chrystol to send me pictures of the baby and she sent several with a video. So cute! Eric took off for a potluck and I steamed myself some veggies for dinner. I went to Cost Plus to get candy to send to Kelly for her birthday, then Crate and Barrel to get a gift card for Lindsay. Back home I watered the backyard plants, listed the toilets on craigslist, and showered. Eric came home and I got into bed to update this and watch tv.

Thursday 7/16, Susan came over after work and we watched two episodes of X-Files, both monster-of-the-week episodes. Eric took off for a meeting and Susan left a few minutes after that. I steamed some cauliflower and carrots for dinner then vacuumed and loaded the dishwasher. Showered, into bed, and Eric came home by 9:15. We talked about his job, Sky and Chrystol, and getting the window at Mom’s over the weekend. Watched tv in bed and updated this.

Wednesday 7/15, Got not so great news at work about a client. Helped P pick out new toilets then headed to Susan’s, talking to Eric on the way. We got through two episodes, including the one where Mulder and Scully pretend to be married. I left right at 7, stopped at Super Supplements on the way home, and arrived home about 20 minutes after leaving Susan’s. I had an apple with peanut butter for dinner. Eric was at a meeting until almost 10. I went out and watered the front yard and talked to Dad on the phone to catch up and find out what they’re doing for the next couple weeks. I was in bed right when Eric got home and fell asleep before 11.

Tuesday 7/14, Eric was closing so when I got home I took care of the dogs, watered the backyard, showered, and headed out to Kristel’s for dinner and a catch up session. Kristel made dinner while I filled her in on everything that had happened in the last 7 weeks. She was good and things were going well for her and Troy. I stayed until almost 10 then headed home. She wants to do a girls’ trip in October and maybe do New Mexico. Fun! Eric was home when I got there and we talked for a little bit before I got into bed.

Monday 7/13, Got home from work and Eric wanted to talk about his Mom. Everything was fine but it had been on his mind for days. I showered and got dressed then we took off for the GO to grab a few things then on to dinner at La Bu La. Dinner was nice and we headed back home so I could watch Bachelorette.

Sunday 7/12, We were up around 7, fed the dogs, and got ready for Coco to be picked up, which happened right before 8:00. I woke up with a really kinked neck which made me cranky.  After we fed the dogs we all got back in bed and luckily everyone fell back asleep. Eric went to work and we slept until 10:30. I made myself get up and get going, which included doing another walk. I did two miles, though I started to feel light headed so I went back without doing a third. I had a little lunch then went to Costco to grab a few things. I took a nap then got up and started laundry and did a little cleaning in my bathroom. Eric came home and we talked a little bit while I folded laundry. Stef came over and we went up to the French Bakery to chat and have a snack. She had coffee and I had a marionberry turnover. We sat outside and talked and she’s still having a hard time with what she wants to do, but things are at least getting back to normal. She’s going to apply for another position at Rick Steves and it would be awesome if she got it. We headed back to the house and she came in to say hi to Eric then took off. I made my pizza and had a piece and a half and did some work for over an hour. I changed the sheets on the bed and kept going on laundry. Once Eric got home I got into bed and fell asleep before 11. I had really vivid dreams about the Darlington house and P taking up an office at the RC.

Saturday 7/11, Eric had to open so I was up with the dogs at 6:30. Fed them then went back to bed until 8. Susan came over at 8:30 and we got through two X-Files before she took off for an appointment. I went to the park and did three miles then home where I walked Marty around the neighborhood and worked on his eye contact. Next I took Dotty / Coco and Clancy, and lastly Coco and Nyx. I was glad to be done and had some lunch out on the deck. I watched Sex and the City II then took another two-hour nap. I got up shortly before Eric got home from work. I finally took a shower and got ready for our evening with Justin and Mailen at their place. We went to the store to each pick up our prescriptions then headed into Seattle. We were super early so we drove around Lake City and eventually went into Fred Meyer to just walk around and kill time. We went over to their place and we were right on time. They laughed and said they knew if anyone would be on time it would be us. We just hung out on the deck and cuddled the dogs, ate snacks, talked. It was fun. Will P. arrived with his gf and it’s been forever since I’d seen him. He’s thinner than he used to be. Some other people came that I don’t know, but everyone was super nice. We met a woman from Egypt and her husband who’s an End dj. Hilarious. We gave them some names of rescues to try to rehome the two dogs they rescued and brought back from Egypt. We took off around 10 and headed home. We were both tired, especially Eric since he didn’t get two naps. I wanted to stay up for SNL but knew we’d be up early so I needed to go to sleep.

Friday 7/10, I was happy to be off work and Eric was home when I arrived. It wasn’t long before he took off for a meeting and I watched Easy A in the living room. The dogs kept me busy and Eric came home shortly before my movie was over. I think I went to bed before 11.

Thursday 7/9, The dogs were wild when I got home, including Coco who was extremely excited about my presence. Eric and I talked for a little bit the he fed the dogs and took off for a meeting. I ate dinner then stated the process of watering the plants. It took me an hour and 40 minutes. I finished just as Eric arrived home. We talked some more and he gave me lots of hugs and kisses, then he left me to go to sleep. I updated this and watched Friends. Got a text from Chrystol saying things are good and included two photos. He’s a beautiful baby.

Wednesday 7/8, I was up early because I had my doctor’s appointment for my new IUD. I got there early but also got started early. She took out my IUD, removed two polyps, then put in the new IUD. It didn’t feel great, but I got through it. I almost passed out after she finished and was talking to me, so I laid back and had some water. Eventually I got dressed and she gave me an rx for zoloft and I headed home. I let out the dogs and made my lunch before heading into work. When I got home from work Eric was at a meeting so I did a little minor picking up, went out with the dogs and brushed three out of four of them, fed them, then relaxed. Eric came home and we got the dogs situated for Dotty / Coco being dropped off. I took care of the handoff then we did introductions in the backyard. Eric went and got teriyaki for dinner and we watched Parks and Rec. It was about 8:30. We took a walk with Coco, Clancy, and Martin and stopped to say hi to Cherry so she could pet Martin and the former Dotty. We went in the backyard when we got home then inside to shower. I got into bed with the girls and updated this.

Tuesday 7/7, When I got home it was nice and cool. The weather was about 10 degrees cooler and so much better. I ran to Fred Meyer to get contact solution and when I got home Eric had prepped my dinner so all I had to do was turn on the stove. He took off for a meeting and I ate dinner. I took Martin for a walk and we worked on his eye contact. Then I took Nyx and Clancy for a walk. Back at home I watered the plants and that took forever. Did some laundry, showered, and when I got out Eric arrived. It was about 10. I got into bed and updated this while watching Friends.

Monday 7/6, I stopped at the store for some veggies on the way home. Eric was working late so when I got home I got the dogs all settled. I ate dinner, showered, and watched Bachelorette in the living room. Eric was home by 9:45 and we talked for a little bit before turning in. I went to bed at 11, but woke up an hour later not feeling good. I threw up a whole bunch, but when I was done that was it. No dry heaves or anything like that. I had a good 18-year streak of no vomiting, but broke it in very unceremonious way. I was just hunched on the floor and Eric got up to go to the bathroom and I called him in. He asked what was wrong and I told him. He got me back into bed, made me tea, got some Mylanta in me, and got a few towels. He said Martin was going nuts and wouldn’t calm down so that’s why he got up to begin with. Little Marty, good boy. I think I had about half of my tea then fell asleep by 1:00.

Sunday 7/5, We were up early again and I got a few of the plants in the backyard watered, dogs fed, workout clothes on, and off to the park to do three miles. It felt good. I ate breakfast, showered, and took off for my massage. It was a little off, which is the first time in a year and a half that it was like that. It wasn’t bad, just not phenomenal like usual. Back at home we cut the dogs’ nails. I had some lunch then we went to Trader Joe’s so I could get some snacky stuff. Back home we pretty much just hung out for the day. I felt a little restless toward the end of the day. Eric went to a meeting and was gone for 4.5 hours. I watched Grace of Monaco, which I thought was good. I don’t know why it got such terrible reviews. I talked to Dad and we caught up about how things are going for me and Eric and also about their trip to MN. I watered the backyard then started on the front yard. I kept expecting him to come home, but he didn’t for an hour and a half later when I was finishing up. I was irritated and he knew immediately. I told him I was annoyed that he was gone all night, and that he’s been gone for what feels like every night. He apologized but then he told me that that’s why he was so late. He got a new sponsor and they were talking, specifically about how our relationship is going and how the meeting schedule and meetups are putting a strain, even though it’s temporary. The new guy is a little more understanding and lenient than the prior one so things are going to change a little bit and that makes me happy. I got ready for bed and we talked for a little bit before I got into bed. Eric stayed up for a while since he didn’t have to work until later the next day.

Saturday 7/4, We were up by 7 and did some watering of the plants. I went to the park and did two miles then home for breakfast. I walked Rio and Martin while Eric went to a meeting. I brushed the dogs’ teeth, brushed them, and gave Nyx a haircut. Eric came home while I was doing some stuff on the computer and asked if I wanted to go to the store. I showered, got dressed, and we went to the GO. When we got home Eric made lunch: salad, burgers, and chips. I went through some magazines and we watched a couple episodes of Office then I went to take a nap. When I woke up an hour later I thought it was the next day and that I had slept in until 2:30 pm. I was so confused and didn’t understand why Eric hadn’t woken me up. I went back to sleep and woke up another hour later. We watched a couple other shows then Eric left for a meeting. I fed the dogs, ate dinner, and watched Holiday. Eric came home and we read a few chapters of our book and closed everything up because of the fireworks. There weren’t too many, luckily. We kept on music, tvs, fans going, etc. Watched a little of SNL then went to bed.

Friday 7/3, Eric was up early and off to work by 6:30. I got up as soon as he left, fed the dogs, closed up the house to keep it cool for the day, and laid down again feeling tired. Rio was dropped off and I got her outside then settled. I did a lot of sitting around and trying to stay cool with the dogs. I watched Married Life and fell asleep. Nap time! Eric came home around 4:00 and we talked about our day. He went off to a meeting and I took off for the Rack. I got a pair of shoes and a few shirts. I headed home and Eric was there. We talked a little and watched tv. I don’t remember what else, but probably went to bed late.

Thursday 7/2, Mom showed up unannounced as we were doing stuff around the house after work. She vented for a while about Dad, then we talked about how we’re doing. Eric left to go to a meeting and Mom asked if I wanted to go to Outback. I didn’t really want to but Eric said I should go rather than just stay home. We had a nice dinner and I tried to choose one of the less-heavy options. When I got home it was still so hot out. I walked Martin around the block and felt frustrated that it was still almost 90 and it was 10:00. We went to bed not long after.

Wednesday 7/1, Susan’s wedding day. I only worked a half day so headed home at noon. I ate lunch, did a few things, showered, and got ready for the wedding. I fed the dogs then went to pick up Eric at work. We made it downtown to the Municipal Court quickly and found Jon and Susan on the 10th floor. We just hung out and ended up on the roof terrace where they did a bunch of their photos and Eric and I talked and caught up since we haven’t seen each other much in the last couple weeks. We waited for our turn to go in and Susan and Jon got a fun judge with a cute bowtie. It was a quick, but very nice, ceremony. We signed as witnesses and off we went. Susan and Jon did a few more pictures while Eric and I walked back to the car so I could grab the card and Eric could call Jim. We walked to Tulio and sat in the bar drinking club soda until S and J arrived. We had a very good dinner and dessert. I helped Susan take off her bra in the bathroom and smuggle it back to the table. We had to cut out a few minutes early so I could get Eric to a meeting down in the Rainier Valley. I got home and fed the dogs the rest of their dinner and relaxed. I probably watered the plants since the weather had been 90+ forever. Eric was home late but had had a good night.
