Sunday 4/23, all of the roommates got up pretty late but it was a beautiful day so no one wanted to stay inside for much of it. B and I took a long shower and headed up to his room for a while then it was off to get some lunch at Kidd Valley and to see the open houses I had looked up for the week. The first one we saw was our favorite and also the least expensive (coming in at $1.15m) of the four. The other house worthy of mention was the $4.2m house we saw with the incredible grounds and pool with pool cabana. The house wasn’t anything out of this world, it was the grounds that made it more impressive. When we got back to B’s all the roommates were outside sunning themselves so B and I joined in. I left around 5:30 to go to Mom’s for Kassie’s birthday dinner. Mom tricked me into coming early though I didn’t help, since I always getting suckered into doing it. We had the cheesy potato dish and it was very good with Angel food for dessert. As I left Mom and Kassie were getting into it for Mom not being supportive when Kassie expressed an interest in buying Theresa’s house. I went home and watched my shows, read and went to bed.
Saturday 4/22, Kassie’s birthday! I got up kind of early and finally finished painting the one wall in the living room and did quite a bit of touch ups on other parts of the wall. I showered, got dressed, made brownies, lunch then headed on my way to Anthropologie to buy Kassie a birthday present. I went to her house and hung out with her and Kate then we took off to the salon to have her hair and make up done, hit the store on the way back and started getting ready for the party. Kassie straightened my hair and we both got dressed, then Chels showed up and we got the lights and music on and danced in the living room. B was the first to show up and he tried some of the strong spodi. The fondue didn’t go exactly as planned but we made due with the stove. All of the food was delicious and I ate way too many chocolate covered bananas. B’s roommates showed up and we all had a good time together and Chrystol got some really hilarious moments captured. Also, Jordan was there and I talked to him so that was fabulous and I think there might even be a picture of me with him and Kassie. The roommates and I left the party around 12:30 and chatted about the party when we got back to the house, then it was off to bed.
Friday 4/21, Susan came home after work and we hung out and watched our shows together but she took off later that night. I stayed in my room for the rest of the night and read. It’s really great to spend time at home alone and just be there without anyone or anything pressing to do. Love it!
Thursday 4/20, B was waiting at my house when I got off of work and my new bulletin board had arrived for my map. I unpackaged it and we began trying to figure out how to pin it up because it had been wrinkled a little and wouldn’t lay flat. I finally went over to Sue’s house and borrowed her iron and B and I took turns ironing it until it looked good enough. We took it up to my room and got the map on the board then I started putting pins in all the places I’ve been, though I had to look some of them up because I didn’t know where they were exactly or they weren’t on the map. I watched OC while B read his book and made slightly-snarky comments about the show.
Wednesday 4/19, I went home after work and rolled out my map in preparation for my new bulletin board that will arrive on Thursday. I’ve wanted to do this for a while and now I am. What I will do is pin my map up to the new bulletin board and then put pins in all of the places I’ve been. I’ll have to establish some sort of criteria, because I’ve been to places like St. Louis on a lay over but I wouldn’t really constitute that as “visiting” a place. I’m not sure how I’ll determine what does constitute “a visit” but I’ll just go with my gut I’m sure. Maybe I’ll even color code the pins so that certain pins mean I go there a lot and a different color will mean that I’ve only been there once. Maybe red for been there once, yellow for two or three times, and blue means I go there a lot, like places in Minnesota, Colorado, Hawaii or San Diego. I talked to Susan for a while on the phone and she decided not to move out for the time being which is good because I was starting to sweat about what I was going to do about my living situation. I also talked to B for a while then it was time for ANTM. I knew Brooke would get kicked off because they’re never going to get rid of Jade, yuck I hate her, just like stupid Nichole from last season.
