Monday 8/28, I went for my walk after work but before I left I called Dale to see when he was going to finish sealing the tile so he asked if he could come over then, I said yes, he said he’d be there in half an hour. I was a little surprised when I got back from my walk to an empty house, so I hung out in my room in case he showed up because I didn’t want to be in the shower when he got there. Susan got home and he still wasn’t there so finally I jumped in the shower and a little while after I got out he showed up. Susan and I decided to go to the Keg for her birthday dinner so we wouldn’t be in Dale’s way especially since I didn’t know how long it was going to take, but right as we were leaving he was finishing up, but we decided to go anyway. I had a delicious teriyaki sirloin, and we had a fun time making fun of the Grandma and kids at the next table over. Then our waiter made fun of my phone. I know, I know, I need to get a new one. We went home and both hung out in our rooms, I was feeling a little down because I found a picture of B and that Leia girl on Diana’s flickr account. I was feeling pissed off too because he had said some not very nice things about her when we were together and now he’s interested in her because he wants to get laid I’m sure. If I were Diana I wouldn’t let him anywhere near any of my friends, I just want to tell that girl, “Oh by the way, if he tells you he loves you after three weeks, I’d be careful, he seems to say a lot of things he doesn’t mean and he’ll only end up breaking your heart and fucking you over. And PS he called you fat when we were dating” So yeah, mostly I felt mad at myself for still feeling sad about him and that’s he’s moving on and that when he said he didn’t want to be in a relationship anymore so that he could concentrate on school, that that was all bullshit and he just didn’t want to be with me. If he wanted to he could have made it work. But he didn’t. And I have to accept that and work on getting over it or through it or whatever. I still feel like a fool I guess.

Tuesday 8/29, I did some grocery shopping after work and then did my walk per usual. I tried to put the utility covers back on in the kitchen but determined that I’m going to need much longer screws so I have to hit Lowe’s at some point and figure that out. I showered and then started my dinner which included one of my delicious salads and leftovers. About halfway through my phone rang so I dashed upstairs and it was Eric saying that he was going to be getting off of work early and wanted to know if I wanted to hang out, I said sure, just call me. This was around 6:30. Later in the evening I put Happy Endings on and was watching that and at about 9:30 he called me to tell me he hadn’t gotten off work early, I said yeah I figured, but that he still wanted to and to give him a half hour. About 5 minutes later he called back saying it was late and that maybe it wasn’t such a good idea, so I said ok whatever, and he asked if he could come over tomorrow and if we could go to a movie and if he could cook me dinner. I said yes to all three. So we hung up. 5 minutes after that he called back to ask me how my week had been going and he started asking me what kind of food I like, then he asked if I had a grill, I said yes, he asked what kind, I said charcoal, he goes “Girrrrrl!” it was so funny. Anyway, so I finally got off the phone with him around 10:00 and turned my movie off, got ready for bed and started the last chapter of my book. I’m almost done with it, only like 5 more pages!

Sunday 8/27, We got up around 9:00 had some breakfast with Dario and Grandma Marie and hit the road up to Jess’ Mom’s house by 11:00. We got out into the sun right away to work on our tans (for the record I am tanner than her, yes!) then out onto the new jet ski, but Billy caught us right as we were trying to get going so he was like “I’m going to go on mine too!” so we got it started and took off quick, though I couldn’t get a good grip and was sliding all over the seat and kept getting airborne when we’d hit the big waves. I almost fell off like three times, despite even holding onto Jessica’s lifejacket. It felt like I was in high school again, laughing, screeching and getting sprayed in the face by huge waves. We had so much fun. Then we went over by the park so Jess could swim a little, but as she was trying to dismount I didn’t lean the other way and I tipped us and I went ass over teakettle right into the water. So much for not getting my hair wet. We went back and laid out on the dock until lunch was ready. We had spaghetti with breadsticks and it was so good especially because we were all so hungry. I basically left right after lunch because I had to make it to Ernie’s birthday party, so Jess and I made plans and I told Day I would see her soon and took off. I got to Hillary and David’s on time and their house is pretty incredible, but I wouldn’t expect anything less of Hillary. We sat outside taking pictures and nibbling on appetizers while David brainstormed guys to fix me up with, but he wouldn’t listen when I told him that being a millionaire wasn’t a requirement. He wants to fix me up with some rich 36-year old divorcee. He also said he would fix me up with Josh Charles, but I just kind of laughed that one off, cause I think he was interested in Kassie, not me. Dad dissed Brandon in front of everyone, which I think is very sweet, because he clearly thinks Brandon is a jerk and that I deserve better. We ate dinner and sat around then had desert and more talking until about 7:30 when I rolled out because I’d been there since 4:00. I called Dad on the way home then relaxed and showered. At 9:00 Eric called me and I was really glad because I didn’t want to stay up until 10:00 to call him so we made plans to hang out Wednesday and cook or go see a movie or something. I told him I didn’t expect to be hearing from him and he said he wanted to stay fresh in my mind. I read a little bit of my book and crashed out at 10:00.
Saturday 8/26, I got up around 8:45, took my time getting up and then hit the road to run some errands. First up was Costco gas, then to Fred Meyer to refill a much needed prescription. On the way to do my errands Eric called me and we made plans for me to come to Seattle and to hang out until he had to go to work. When I got home I showered and hit the road to Ballard, where he was skateboarding. I found it easily (the skate park, not Ballard) and walked up while he was doing some tricks and stuff and was pretty impressed. It was a beautiful sunny day so we decided we would go to a park or something, which ended up being the Ballard Locks. I told him about the lesbian from the night before and how she wanted to go home with Susan and I, but that if she were looking for the kinkier one that would have to be Susan, you know, with the handcuffs and all. And he’s like “Why does everyone always say that? “Handcuffs are kinky” They’re really not” so I was like, ok, that says something doesn’t it? We talked about the old people in front of us and how they know what’s up and that everyone should know a little something by that age. He did clarify that he’s not into whips and auto-erotic asphyxiation though. Phew! We just walked and talked and ended up in the viewing area of the fish ladder and just watched the fish for awhile and he gave me some fish facts and said he was trying to learn as much as he can about fish, so I invited him over to study sometime. We decided to walk back toward the car and talked about food, Bun and my blog and how I write about “EVERYTHING” and he kind of laughed nervously. I told him, ok, not everything, but pretty close. We headed off to get some lunch in Ballard and went to this little sandwich place that’s a café and I got a half “No Meat Please” sandwich and it was HUGE. We walked until we found a bench to sit on and ate our messy sandwiches. We talked about sex and past relationships and he wiped my mouth with his napkin at one point because I probably had mustard all over it or something and it was just a really pleasant setting. I told him I was sleeping at Jess’ that night and he asked if it was a slumber party so I said “Yeah, and we’re going to watch scary movies and make prank phone calls to boys we like” and he said he’d better be getting a call then. It was very cute. He wanted to show me this little gallery so we walked over and talked about the pieces we each liked then went to this furniture store that Kassie and I hit back in January and I showed him the chairs I like. We started walking back to the car and talked about how we’d pretty much seen each other naked, well “nakedish” as Eric put it, since we both had one item of clothing on at the time. He drove me back to my car and we kissed a little bit then I took off for home. Chrystol called me right when I walked in the door and said her and Schuyler were in Redmond and were going to stop by, so I was totally stoked about that and couldn’t wait for them to get there. Chrystol brought me an apron from Spain that looks like a Flamenco dress that I LOVE because it’s pink, teal, has polka dots and looks like a dress. I told them all about Eric and probably gave a little too much detail but they seemed to be eating it up so I kept going. Chrystol told me all about her trip before they decided to leave around 4:30. I relaxed in my room after that then packed up and got ready to leave for Snohomish to meet up with Jess, Jasmine and all of the other cousins. I got there first, then Jasmine and the guy she’s been seeing arrived and we hung out in the Oxford until they started charging a cover so we moved down to Mardini’s where they had a cover band playing and lots of gross guys. I had one guy stop at our table and just stare at me and Luke said I went from having a huge smile on my face to having it melt away into a confused scowl. He laughed so hard, but I told him I didn’t mean to make a face it was just a genuine look of confusion. Then some other 40 year old guy approached me and asked me to dance to the next song right after Megan left, but I told him I wasn’t into dancing that night. I think it’s the hair, it’s getting me all kinds of attention, granted most of it has been undesired. Finally around 10:30 Jessica showed up so we sat and talked and joked and watched the old people dance. A bunch of the group went to another bar to snag a pool table while we finished our drinks and of course this really cool guy named Neil approached us and you could just tell this guy thought he was the hippest guy in Snohomish with his John Travolta from Grease hair, wife beater and cowboy boots and starts talking to Jessica. I instantly get pissed off and start formulating what I would say to him if he asked me why I was being such a bitch, which was basically that I haven’t seen her in 4 months and was trying to have a conversation with her and didn’t appreciate him trying to pick her up when he was like 45 and clearly out of his league. Finally he took the hint along with all the other guys opening doors and pulling out chairs for us, and we picked up and left for the Speakeasy where there was like a rockabilly band playing. More dipshits showed up and were trying to get fresh, let me tell you, it’s quite a meat market in Snohomish, I’ve never seen anything like it, but I dissed them and they moved onto some of the other girls. Finally around 1:00 Jess and I were beyond ready to go so we drove back to her Grandma’s house and got ready for bed. We talked in bed for a long time about Eric “Oh he’s ginger. Well you can’t have kids with him!” and told some hippie jokes then went to bed.
Friday 8/25, I got home around 7:00, made some dinner, showered and snuggled into bed for a light nap before Comeback. I was so exhausted and I really didn’t want to go at all but I knew Susan wanted to and that it was probably good for me to get out so I was determined to go, though I knew right away I wouldn’t be staying late. We left around 11:00 and parked in our usual place, walked up and saw Ely and Brett. We talked with them for a little while about high school and such and headed in. Susan started dancing right away and I stood on the side and watched the crowd, but before too long I had a lesbian approach me and say “You’re fucking hot and I wanted to come over and say hi” and all this other nonsense but I was nice and we talked a little, then she left and Susan came over, then the lesbian comes back over and is like “You’re hot too, I want to give you my number, both of you. Don’t tell me you’re bi or have boyfriends, I don’t want to hear it. I’m sick of hearing it. I just need hot friends, so you guys should call me” she kept saying she wanted hot friends, hot friends, hot friends, then she gave us each a kiss on the cheek. We finally both went out and danced, some with the boys, some without, then that scary trannie got on stage and was singing “Celebrate” and Brett and I were joking about her makeup and how it looked very precise and like a real professional job. He’s so hot. We kept dancing but I was easily irritated because I was tired and people were bumping into me and stepping on my shoes and spilling shit on me, so around 12:45 I took off, but not before the trannie did that one NIN song. When I got in the car I had a missed call and it was Eric saying he had a good time the night before and wanted to see what my plans were for the weekend and to call him, and since it was only about 35 minutes since he’d called, I decided to call him back. We chatted for a little bit and decided we should hang out the next day and that one of us would call the other in the morning. I’m so all about getting up early and hanging out, I can’t even express it. Yay!
Thursday 8/24, After work I did my walk and made pretty good time, but def not my best. Jake had called me earlier in the day to tell me Jasmine was trying to get a hold of me so I figured that must mean Jessica is in town, and sure enough Jess called me right before I left for my walk. If we end up not going to Leavenworth this weekend I’m going to head up north to hang out, either way I know I’ll have fun this weekend. I made dinner and it was really good and I didn’t even get bloated from the salt which was good because I had plans to go dancing. I got ready and called Eric to see if he still wanted to hang out before I went to Neighbours, but he didn’t call me back until about 9:00 as I was falling asleep listening to the Decemberists. He told me to head up to the Hill and call him when I got there so I parked and called him and he said to stay put and he would come pick me up. We decided to go to Michael’s apartment but it took forever to find a parking spot and we had to walk for awhile but that’s ok because we just talked about Louisville and the pronunciation, it was cute. We got there and Michael was playing his guitar so the three of us hung out, watching Shaun of the Dead, listening to Michael play his guitar, listening to music on his cd player all at the same time. Eric took the initiative to get me a glass of water even though I told him I was ok, and he even put it in a brown paper bag to give me some street cred. We finally left around 11:00 after the boys lifted some weights to get pumped up, and walked up to my car which was parked on Broadway. As I was putting my purse in my trunk my phone rang and it was Kyle who exclaims “Where are you?!” so I enthusiastically asked if he was at Neighbours and he said yes, along with Richie and Neil. I was like, I’ll be right there! So we walked over, said hi to the bouncer, hi to Travers and I went in and spotted Kyle right away. He ran over and picked me up and carried me over to where Richie was ordering a drink and Cory was there too. Eric took off for the main bar so I couldn’t do introductions but we all talked for a little bit then Michael came over and I did introductions and eventually Eric came over and I introduced him too so that was fun then they all wanted to go dance so I said I needed to find Susan so I took off to do a lap but came up empty until I looked upstairs and there she was hanging out with Damon so I went up and chatted with them then Eric came up and we danced and kissed while Michael was socializing close by. Finally a good song came on and I said I wanted to dance so Susan and I went down and when I turned to look back at Eric he was “sharking” me which made me smile. Before we could hit the dance floor I spotted Neil at the bar and went over and said hi and got a nice hug. We chatted for a little bit then he took some pictures of the three of us. He dragged us out to the dance floor and we danced for a bit then Michael came over and we danced together, he’s so fun I just love him! Eric was upstairs watching but eventually came down and was watching from the side lines and there was definitely smoldering eye contact going on. At one point Susan asked me what he was doing and I said just looking at me, we like to tease each other from across the floor. Finally Eric came out and the four of us danced off and on with a couple of three-ways going on, but mostly just Eric and I would dance and make out. Apparently at some point Craig showed up and Susan went up and said hi and told him he should go say hi to me, knowing that Eric and I were probably making out against one of the pillars, and he says “Uh, she looks a little busy” which I think is so funny. There were so many people I knew there last night I feel like I should list them off: Susan, Eric, Michael, Damon, Kyle, Richie, Neil, Cory, Derek and Craig. That doesn’t include the general acquaintances either, crazy! Anyway, I finally told Eric I had to leave around 1:30 and asked him if he was going to walk me to my car, he said no he was going to go home with Susan. So I dragged him out despite him trying to distract me into dancing again, and Travers was all “Oh really…” as we walked out, then I waved to the bouncer and we didn’t get very far before Eric pushed me up against the brick wall and told me he couldn’t wait to get to my car to make out, I told him yes he could and kept dragging him. Oh get this, he knows Bun! So we see Bun out there and talk with him for a minute then he offers us pot and we decline and keep on our way. He told Bun he would be back and Bun says to him, “Take your time” and Eric looks right at me and says, “Oh I will”. It was very hard to make it to the car because he kept stopping and kissing me and he’d say “We’ve gone 200 feet, I can’t not kiss you” so I’d relent then get him going again. Finally we made it to the car but again made out for about 15 minutes and told each other what we liked about one another, then he said he wants to make me breakfast and was naming off all this stuff like biscuits made from scratch and a lot of other shit which made me hungry, and hot because a man that cooks, I’m sorry but that seals the deal. Finally we got into the car and he kept biting me, but I dropped him off and said I would call him when I knew what I was doing this weekend and waved bye. Got home and went to bed just as Susan was getting home.
Saturday 8/26, I got up around 8:45, took my time getting up and then hit the road to run some errands. First up was Costco gas, then to Fred Meyer to refill a much needed prescription.

Wednesday 8/23, On my way home I called Eric to see if he still wanted to get together and he did so I told him I had to make a phone call and cancel some plans but would call him later to see what he wanted to do. I rescheduled my plans and when I got home hopped in the shower and decided to call Eric again to see if he wanted me to come into Seattle to hang out for the rest of the afternoon / evening, he said he was picking up a new window and would call me back and when he finally did he said he was hanging out with Michael and that if I wanted to hang too that I should come over. I rolled out of the house right before 5:00 and of course ran into traffic, but made it to his place by about 5:30. Michael was cutting Eric’s hair then Eric gave Michael a little trim, cause he’s Italian and hairy. Kay-See called while we were chatting and getting to know each other to comment on my short hair and a funny story, though I didn’t hear it because I told her I would call her later…which I didn’t, but will! The three of us decided to go up to Capitol Hill and Michael and I were talking the whole time, it was fantastic. We parked and ended up at Rosebud but inside because there was some business party outside and Michael was so funny, he approached this one guy and is like “Oh is the business party outside?” and the guy’s all “Yeah, are you here for it?” and Michael says “Yeah, are there free drinks?” and the guy says back “Yeah free drinks and food” Michael: “Perfect!” it was so funny. So Michael goes to check it out or something so Eric orders drinks and buys me a Shirley Temple, I tried to give him money but he rebuffed me, then the three of us sat on the couches and talked and laughed. Michael left again and Eric and I started kissing and when Michael came back he made this face behind Eric’s back, well it was more like doing obscene things with his tongue so I started laughing so hard because it was so unexpected and Eric’s all “What?!” and Michael and I just laughed. We had a few drinks there then decided to go to R-Place to play darts, but on the way made a stop in Toys In Babeland and Eric’s face was so funny when I pointed out the items that I have in my reserves at home, he was all “Serious?!” oh yeah, neither of them had been in there before so I gave some brief explanations about some of the items but I think it just made Eric hornier than anything. We walked over to R-Place and they were playing really great music / music videos so I started dancing while they were getting drinks to Jamiroqai’s “Canned Heat” song and Eric couldn’t keep his hands to himself, or his tongue. We went upstairs and sat on the couches while Michael was “sharking” on guys, then he dedicated the next song that was going to come on to me, and it turned out to be some Bee-Gees song with people dancing in aluminum outfits or something, it was funny. Then he dedicated this Blondie song to me and both of them were like “Oh my God, you look just like Blondie!” which was cute. I went to the bathroom and when I came back Eric said they were talking about me but it was good and that Michael likes me and doesn’t care if we sit and make out in front of him, but I felt a little awkward every time Eric tried that, but I guess Michael seriously didn’t care. Finally we went to play darts and Eric and I danced in between turns and Michael and I kept talking and he kept saying how much he likes me and just wants Eric to be happy, it was really sweet. Eventually their boss got there, Jason, and we talked a little then we all decided to go upstairs to dance even though there was NO ONE up there. Eric and Michael were getting drinks and Eric asked me from across the bar if I wanted anything, like some water, so I said yes please then he picked out a straw for me and put it behind his ear, it was adorable! They all danced for a little bit then Eric pulled me off my stool and made me get out there but I refused to get on the stripper pole. We danced and kissed a lot but I didn’t want to enrage the gays so I tried to keep it PG-13, though it’s hard with Eric, he’s an aggressive one. Then he started break dancing, and it was totally hot, everything he does is fucking hot, I can’t stand it. Michael kept saying “You guys should go home and have fun” like 5 times, but we didn’t because we were having fun there dancing. Finally around 10:45 I told Eric I needed to get going so I said bye to his friends and he walked me to my car, but we didn’t even get down the block before we started making out again for like 10 minutes, then we started walking again and he said I was so hot and he wanted me so bad and I was smiling and he asked me what and I said that’s it’s just nice to feel attractive and desired and that I wasn’t so used to that, so he said a lot of complimentary things and that I should know that stuff and think it about myself anyway. I always get the impression from Eric that he wants to rip my clothes off and that’s a flattering thing. So anyway, we got to the street where my car was but we only got halfway up it before he pushed me up against this chain link fence and started kissing me again, cripes, so then we made it to my car but he pushed me up against that and we started making out AGAIN for another 10 minutes or so before I said I had to go, but that I would drive him back to the club and he massaged my neck and back of my head until we got there. I told him I would call him the next day so we could talk about meeting up before Neighbours, though we’re both being up front with each other about what we expect and that neither of us want to jump into anything serious and that we don’t want to get sick of each other, so I think that’s a good sign. Earlier in the night he had also said that he wants to be my friend even if I decide I don’t want to make out with him anymore that we should still be friends and hang out. I thought that was a novel idea, so we’ll see what happens. Maybe he could be my fuck buddy. I’m in the market for one of those, plus I have to find out if it can really exist.
Tuesday 8/22, After work I hit Barnes and Noble and walked out with two magazines I didn’t need, but Clive Owen and Jonathan Rhys Meyers on the covers? I couldn’t walk away without those. At home I relaxed then showered and prepared for my hair cut with Sean. I left the house at 6:15 and was hoping that traffic on I-90 wouldn’t make me late. It didn’t, in fact I got there 10 minutes early and Sean was running 20 minutes behind so I got to read up on all the celebrity gossip in People. When he was finished Sean called me over to his chair and the dialogue commenced. I got right down to business and asked him about Capricorns and how well they do with Leos and he gave me mixed reviews: their stereotype is that they’re boring but grounded, though he made sure to point out that his best friend is a Capricorn and the boring thing isn’t true at all. I didn’t get much else out of him and instead the conversation turned to Eric and how he’s got tattoos and rides an ’82 Honda and Sean goes, “Karrah, you’re dating me! Well, Sean Light, you can’t handle the real thing: Sean Regular” it was so funny, we were both cracking up and I was trying to be mock-creepy like, well Sean that’s the idea. So for the rest of my hair cut (it took an hour and a half) we referred to him as “Sean Light” and to me as a home wrecker. I told him to watch out because he’s next. I said they’re similar but Eric has red hair and Sean goes “If you even say I have red hair I’m going to fuck your hair up. You’ll look like a lesbian by the time you walk out of here” which I laughed so hard at. There’s some stuff that I can’t talk about but I have to make note that I was flattered when he “propositioned” me. It’s not how it sounds, trust. He also told me as he was washing my hair that I had really great eyebrows, especially from the angle he was at, so that was awesome. Anyway, we talked about Kassie, how well Sean would do in jail, 80’s music that he loves and hates, his band’s new material, his baby, his baby-mama, more about Capricorns and his clients and basketball heads. He’s very flattering and I only wish I could justify getting my hair cut more than once every 5-6 weeks. Oh well. Maybe I’ll see if he can trim up my bangs a little more in a few weeks. I finally left there at 9:00 with some black guy checking me out saying “Hey baby girl, how you doin?” I was all, “Um, fine” nervous laughter. I drove home and made a snack then went up to my room to disrobe until Eric got there. He called at 10 to tell me it was going to be an hour so I watched tv, took some myspace style pictures and played on my computer until I saw him pull in. We talked for awhile on my bed about movies and what was worth $.50 and what wasn’t, then we started making out. It got plenty hot and heavy though I won’t go into the details this time, but I will say, the boy knows what he’s doing and definitely had a few tricks up his, uh, sleeve. Around 2:30 I kicked him out because I needed to go to bed, but before that we kind of slow danced to a Beck song that was playing, but mostly it was just making out standing up. Also for the record, again, he is a scratcher and a biter, yeow. In a good way though. He said something that I don’t want to write on here but this will serve as a reminder to write down somewhere else because it’s too funny to forget. We basically just laughed and made out for two and a half hours again, and it was fantastic.
Monday 8/21, Did my long walk after work then relaxed in my room until it was time for dinner. I made an omelet with tomato and turkey, and of course cheddar cheese. Susan and I decided to go to Nordstrom Rack so I showered and did my hair, got all done up, drove down only to see they were closed for inventory. Boo! So we went home and instead of lying around I went on a kitchen-cleaning binge. First up I finished cleaning the individual tiles on the backsplash, then I chipped away all of the grout that had gotten into the space around and in the outlets, that was tough. After that I wiped down some of the cabinets which led me to the microwave which I thoroughly cleaned including the wire rack and turning tray (it was all pretty gross) then onto the stove. First I had to get a razor blade out and scrape as much crap off as I could because stuff gets baked on and it won’t come off any other way except with the blade, so I did that then wiped it down, and while it dried I got out the Soft Scrub and a sponge and cleaned the kitchen sink, but as I was trying to rinse it out I was getting increasingly irritated that the silver part of the pull out had come apart and fallen down into the nozzle so I got the flashlight out determined to try and fix it, I opened up the doors underneath the sink and saw the problem immediately, though I wasn’t sure I would be able to remedy it, but guess what, I did it, I fucking fixed the sink that not even stupid B could do, I was elated. I was so elated in fact that I got the stove top glass cleaner out and went to town on that next, though it’s not totally spotless but I did the best job I could. I did a few more little things like wipe down the outside of the stove and the knives holder and by that time it was 10:00, I spent an hour and a half in there cleaning and listening to my Decemberist cds, but it felt good to have that stuff cleaned up because it gets nasty and none of it’s going to clean itself. I was feeling a little frisky so I called Eric and left him a voicemail to call me if he wanted. Around 10:40 he did, and I said, I was calling because I wanted to see if you wanted to come over and make out but… and he asked but what, I said he was probably tired after work and everything and that it was late. He said he really wanted to and kept saying “Why didn’t you call me earlier? I could have taken a nap…at work I guess…ha” so we laughed and he asked if I was still going to be feeling frisky tomorrow night, I told him I assumed so and we made plans for him to come over then and potentially keep our date for Wednesday as well. We’ll see, he kept saying, we better see what your hair guy says though, you may change your mind after you talk to him. It was fun, he told some girls to shut up cause he was on a 1-900 call and couldn’t hear anything and I thought I heard one of them saying “Oh are you talking to her? Sorry” so that makes me wonder a little…so anyway, he kept saying he wanted to come over but he’d been up until 5:30 the night before, we made our plans and said good night. I got ready for bed, put on my new Grant Lee Phillips cd and read a chapter in my book. I’m almost done with it, only like 3 more chapters. Eek!

Sunday 8/21, So because I hadn’t gotten home until 2:30 I didn’t wake up until right before 10. I jumped out of bed, ate some breakfast, threw my contacts in and headed out the door. First up was Costco for gas, then to the grocery store. When I got home I put my walking clothes on and left, though I really took it easy because I was so tired, probably my worst time, but I still walked 3 miles! I ate lunch when I got back, showered, packed my tanning-bag and headed down to Factoria to buy a new swim suit to tan in. First I hit Nordstrom Rack, the girl claimed they didn’t get any swim wear in this year, strike one, then to Target where everything had been thoroughly picked over and nothing matched, strike two, lastly to Old Navy where all my suits are from only to find out they have two bottoms in the clearance section and that’s it, strike three. Now I’m pissed because I didn’t bring a back up suit with me so I have to drive all the way home to get one. I change quickly and head out to the Bellevue Park. I talked a lot on the phone to Mom in San Diego and to Alishia, read my British Glamour then packed up after an hour and a half of sun. I went home and relaxed some more and uploaded my pictures onto flickr and cleaned up some shit on my computer. Pretty soon it was 5:45 and time to go to Mom’s for dinner where we had some delicious beef and rice dish, it was so good. We chatted for a little bit about Eric and Louisville and by 7:30 it was time for me to go. When I got home I put on my Decemberist cds, took out the recycling and began the timely process of hand cleaning each tile one by one with a washcloth. I did that until about 9:50 when Susan called me to tell me that she’d just landed. I put on Pink Floyd’s Wish You Were Here and set off for the airport. Her baggage wasn’t going to come for awhile so I pulled into the cell phone lot which was totally full so I parked in the Delta Employee Parking ONLY lot and called Aubrie to talk about Eric and the pictures I’d sent her. She’s so fun and I’m determined to get more for her. Susan called to tell me that she had her bags so I told her to go upstairs to ticketing because baggage claim would be nuts so she did and I’m so glad because there was a terrible line to go to baggage. We loaded into the car and about 2 minutes into our ride home Eric called so I asked if I could call him back in a half hour, he said yes, so Susan and I gossiped all the way home about her trip and Eric. When we got there she admired the tile job and we both went into our rooms. I called Eric, who had to call me back and then did right as I’d put my eye makeup remover on so I had to ask him to hold on so I could rinse it off and I could hear him whistling into the phone and laughed. We made plans for Wednesday after I’m done working and I’m hoping he’ll want to go dancing on Thursday too, so we can make out on the dance floor again. We’ll see though. I finished a chapter in my book and went to bed.
Saturday 8/20, I woke up early around 6:45 but didn’t get out of bed until 7:30 when Dale opened the front door, which I can always hear in my room. I got up and had some breakfast then checked my email and stuff then got ready to go on my walk. I took it easy and didn’t do any jogging because I knew it would be a long day and I didn’t want to wear myself out so early. I listened to Venga Boys and it’s a decent cd to walk to, but not as good as Gorillaz or Scissor Sisters. When I got back Dale was just finishing up so I stayed downstairs and chatted with him, though around 9:15 I heard my phone beep with a message and it was Eric which made me feel a little giddy that he was calling me so early. Finally Dale scooted out and said he would be back to seal the tile and I took that opportunity to call Eric back so we made plans for me to come into Seattle and get lunch and spend some time outside or something but I needed time to get ready so I told him it would be about 45 minutes which would have me leaving my house around 10:30, so early but I love it! So I found his place without any trouble and we decided to go get something to eat and that he’s going to drive us there. We walk out to his car but he starts to walk over to the passenger side so I assume he’s got to get something out of the car on that side, so he unlocks the door and holds it open for me, how nice right? well then I get in and he even shuts it for me. I was a little surprised and managed a “thank you” in there somewhere. Who knew right? I’ve never had a guy do that, that I can remember at least, especially at this stage of the game. So we get going and Schuyler called me to get my address for Chrystol and I tell him I’m hanging out with “my new friend Eric” so he wants some stories after I pass them off to Chrystol. We drive up to Queen Anne to have lunch at Pesos and again when we go in he lets me walk in first, I’m getting the vibe that he’s a true Southern boy, being from Kentucky and all, minus the racism and aversion to gays. We chat while we eat lunch and it’s nice to find out more about him and what he does for work and stuff, then I go to use the bathroom before the check comes, so when I get back he’s got the check and is getting cash out, so I grab my wallet and get my card out but the waitress comes and he hands her cash and she walks away with it. I sat there with my jaw on the table and said, “You just paid for it, I was going to give her my card” but he just shrugged so I told him next time I would get it and he goes “We’ll see” so I smiled and said “Well thank you” it was all very cute. We decided to walk over to Easy Street where he once again held open the door for me and we looked around at some new stuff then I got myself into trouble in the used section, like usual. He ended up with one and I walked out with two. We went back to his place and sat on his couch forever talking about movies and stuff and finally he leaned over and kissed me and we made out for 20 minutes until he had to go to work. I asked him if I could take a picture of him but the ones I got don’t do him justice but oh well, at least I had something to send to Aubs. He insisted on walking me to my car then got on his motorcycle (hot!) and rode away. I called Kay-See to see what she was doing and she told me to come down to the Juanita Park to sunbathe with her, so I did. AGF got there not too long after I did and we all worked on our tans and chit chatted. He mentioned that there might be dancing later in the evening with the other gays, which got me real excited, and Kay-See wanted to have dinner with Michelle so we scrapped having dinner and a movie at my place and decided to make it a “Seattle Night”. AGF took off for Starbucks to do some work and cool off and Kay-See and I followed about 20 minutes later. The three of us sat talking for quite awhile and got some very good bj / hj tips from Kyky. I’m still a little nervous about my technique but if I can master Kyky’s tips, I have a feeling I’ll be in pretty good shape. Now, to only find a willing participant… Anyway, so we laughed and talked until finally I felt like it was time for me to go so Kay-See and I walked back to the park and I drove home where I relaxed and enjoyed having the house to myself, ie walking around in the nude. Finally I showered and got ready and waited for a call from Kay-See to lay out the plans for the evening and ended up leaving around, um, 7:30 I think. After I parked I called Andy to see if he could pull any strings so we wouldn’t have to wait in a 45-minute line again, but he didn’t answer so I left a message. Kay-See and I walked up at the same time and Michelle was bustling around cleaning and preparing dinner. We lounged and had girl talk, ate dinner until we were bursting at the seams then played dress up with Michelle’s cute clothes and shoes. Finally a little after 10 we were off. The line wasn’t nearly as bad this time and I think the door guy was flirting with me and checking me out, but I can’t be sure. I guess we didn’t need Andy’s help after all. We go in and straight for the back, where I’ve spotted Andy, when I walk by him I squeeze his arm, say hi and ask how he’s doing and he says “Better now” so I smile and shake my head and we go back to the front to watch people fall off the bull. They were playing a lot of bad music, but the decent stuff we danced to and watched the girls on the bar, though Michelle was disappointed that they weren’t hotter. There were gross guys every where and I had to be saved more than once by Michelle and Kay-See from a butt-humper. Michelle was pushing us around the dance floor with her butt and told some country-loving guy that she lives in Seattle for a reason and that the music was for people from Monroe or something, it was really funny, then she said something about girls missing teeth, but I don’t remember. After a few more good songs we’d decided we’d had enough and it was time to get out of there (Michelle put it nicely when she said “You have to be drunk to tolerate this place”, I said “Or have a crush on the bouncer”) but I had to spot Andy first and say goodbye. He walked by me and I’m glad I didn’t grab him because he was going to take the position at the exit door, so we pounded our waters and made a beeline for him. I gave him a hug and asked if he’d gotten my voicemail, he hadn’t, I told him I was giving him a heads up, then he asked if we were going up to Neighbours and I said we might be meeting some friends up there but that I was tired though we wanted to get out because Michelle had never been to CI. Then he says “You should call me Monday, no, Sunday or Monday” and I know that those are his days off, but instead of saying ok, I elbowed him gently in the side and said “OR, YOU could call me, since you’ve got my number” and he says, “I think I will” with a smile. Uh huh, I’ll believe it when I see his name pop up on my cell phone. I said bye with a smile and we were off. Kay-See called AGF and told him we’d be up there in a half hour, so we got parking, walked down to Neighbours and started waiting on the street corner. Finally when they hadn’t shown up about 15 minutes later we went in (the cute bouncer called me sweet heart again) and hit the bathrooms. We decided to look for them from the back platform but AGF found us and brought us over to Richie. We all hit the dance floor and laughed, danced, ass-smacked and had a “gay” old time. One of the usual drag queens who's friends with "Mick Jagger" came down from the stage, touched my arm to get my attention and said I must play sports to have such athletic arms. I said, Oh thank you! Then she asked me what sports I played and I said none and she complimented me again and went back up to the stage. That made me happy, having some random person give you a compliment and you know they're not interested in getting in your pants. The music was decent and we were all laughing and grinding with each other. AGF and I eventually ended up outside chatting and soon the others joined us, we decided it was time to go home, walked to the car with some old guy asking us our names and wanting to chat, then headed back to Michelle’s where I dropped them off and went home. It was a big day.
Friday 8/19, Peggy let me leave about 10 minutes early so I went home to find Dale and his son working on the tile and it looked good. I went for my 3-mile walk and did it in record time, yay! I showered and hung out in my room to stay out of the way until about 6:00 when they went home. Later in the evening Dale called to ask if they could come back in the morning to grout, I said yes please, the sooner the better. I decided around 9:30 to watch Walk the Line because I love Joaquin and hadn’t seen it for awhile and about a half hour into it Eric called so we made plans to call each other in the morning to hang out since he had to work at 2:00. I was very excited he called and had contemplated asking him if he wanted to come over right then but my contacts were already out and I was too tired. I finished watching my movie but had a hard time staying awake at the end then went to sleep when it ended.
Thursday 8/18, I left work early to meet Dale the tile guy at 3:30 but by 3:45 when he hadn’t shown up yet I called him and he said he wasn’t coming and asked if he could come in the morning before I went to work. I said that was fine. When I was checking my mail this lady from the next building over came out and introduced herself and we ended up talking and gossiping for about an hour. She’s nice but seems a little nosy. I believe I didn’t do anything for the rest of the night, probably just read, watched a movie or played on my computer, though I can’t be sure.
Wednesday 8/16, My phone rang while I was at work and since it was a 206 number I ran outside to answer it hoping it would be Eric, and it was! He was going to be skating in Crossroads and was checking to see if I was having a good day and if I wanted to get together or something. I told him he should just come to my house because I get off of work at 3:30 so he said he would be there by 4:30. Then I started getting nervous and planning what I needed to do when I got home: shower, get my laundry off my floor and into the washer, straighten up the living room and clean my room. I rushed home and got all of these things done with time to spare, mostly because he got lost in Issaquah. So he got there and it was a little weird at first but I showed him the place and then told him I needed to go to Costco, and since he’d never been there before, we set off so I could pick up my shit. They didn’t have some of what I wanted but I made it out with some cereal at least. On the way home I asked if he wanted to stop by the park and go for a walk down to the water so we parked and talked all the way down. When we got close we saw a couple having a romantic afternoon at one of the picnic tables and he said we should leave, but I said we should make out instead to help set the mood for them. He thought that was funny. We ended up sitting on the bench for awhile talking about music and Neighbours and how Michael is his wingman then decided to walk back up. When we got back we sat in the living room talking then moved to the kitchen where we talked forever. When my Grant Lee cd was over he suggested putting in another one so I said we should go upstairs and pick one out. I played him some Venga Boys then put Belle and Sebastian’s new one back in. We talked about books and movies for a little while then laid down on my bed and kept talking about random stuff. I told him that when I was dancing with him the first time that I’d said to myself “Andy who?” so then he got all paranoid like, “Oh that’s what you’re going to be saying about me in a week, “Eric who?”” but I told him it wasn’t like that. I asked if he wanted to see my myspace but he said he didn’t because he didn’t want to talk and it kept getting all quiet and we both pointed out that it was awkward but at the same time it wasn’t and finally he leaned in and kissed me and that started it all. This is a disclaimer that if you don’t want to read about me making out / etc. with this guy then go ahead and skip the rest of the entry, I need to document this for my own purposes and don’t blame anyone for not wanting to read about it. Consider yourself forewarned. We made out for two and a half hours and it was so hot. He said his favorite part is my collarbone and neck and he kept biting them, he also likes ears, his third favorite is lower stomach area and he kept saying that he wanted to bite that too, I let him a little bit. He’s a scratcher too, he kept running his fingernails up and down my back and it kind of hurt but it was also totally hot. He’d stop and sit back and just look at me and shake his head, so I’d just smile then we’d start kissing again. At one point I got a new email and the noise my computer makes is a car honking so he lifted up his head and was all “I’ll be right down Mom!” it was funny. Things were hot and heavy for awhile and when he sat up I said “Um, I don’t want to be a downer or anything, but I’m not having sex with you” and he said “I don’t want to have sex with you, I mean I do, but now isn’t the right time, I’d really like to, but not right now” so I thought that was so cool that I didn’t even have to come up with a “reason” or “excuse” he just said that he agreed and we continued making out. At one point he rolled me onto my stomach so that he could kiss the back of my neck and back and was kind of pulling on my hair a little bit depending on where he wanted to kiss me. Ack, too much information, I know, but um, all I could think was “this is so much better than making out with B, who was way vanilla compared to this guy”. As things "progressed" he was all “I didn’t know I liked dry humping so much,” yeah, me either! We’d stop kissing for a second and he’d go “Eric who?” so I’d laugh and we’d resume. Finally around 10:30 I needed to use the bathroom and he said he needed to go home so he met me downstairs and we kept making out in the kitchen then down in the entry way he opened to the door to leave but we started kissing again so he swung it closed. He was all, “I’m not even going to be driving home, I’m just going to float” awwww, ha, sike, it was cute though. Then I went upstairs where I turned off my computer and settled into bed, read a few pages of “Oceania” and crashed out.

Tuesday 8/15, I got cash after work for the French Kicks show then did my long walk and ran for a good chunk of it. Showered, ate Susan’s leftover lasagna, watched a rerun of WoF then got ready to go out. We left the house right around 8:00 and parked in our usual Comeback parking spot, walked over to Neumo’s where we bought our tickets and found out Dave doesn’t work there anymore. Since it was only like 8:20 and the French Kicks didn’t go on until 10:50 we decided to walk down to Toys in Babeland and look at all the fun things there, then back to Neumo’s but didn’t want to go in so we walked up to Vivace where I got an enormous hot chocolate and Madeline. We sat and talked there until about 10:15 about all sorts of things, but mostly boys. We walked back down and went into the show and Matt and Kim were playing and they’re actually pretty good, I was impressed. Finally the French Kicks go on and they were pretty good, though I’m sure the lead singer was either drunk or on something, kind of weird. They played a lot of their more mellow stuff though they did play a couple of hits off their first album so that was really cool. They mostly played stuff from the third album which was a little disappointing but not unpredictable. After the show we started to walk back to the car and I saw Dave standing outside talking to one of the bouncers so I said hi and we chatted for a few minutes about what he’s doing and the Muse show he got me into forever ago (and how Matt Bellamy had gotten kicked in the head on that tour so he was very cautious at that time) then we said bye cause it was freezing. Dave used to be sooo hot but he’s gained a lot of weight so he doesn’t look that good anymore and Susan didn’t even recognize him. We drove home and I went to bed, it was almost 1:00. Yikes.
Monday 8/14, Peggy had wanted to take Andre on a sea plane up to Friday Harbor so I booked the tickets for 4 of us and since Jim didn’t want to go Alix came with instead. So we picked Alix up then headed down to Kenmore Air to catch our 11:00 flight up to Roche Harbor, then the plan was to take a taxi over to Friday Harbor and fly home from there. We get to the airport and park in the lot next door then go in and immediately notice how many hot pilots and flight staff are milling around. Peggy tried to work her magic on one for me by asking where we get the maps of the San Juans, but unfortunately he didn’t take the bait. We sat for a little while then I spotted a cute pilot and was hoping he was going to be ours, and surprise, he was! We go out to our plane and it’s tiny, and Peggy asks Aaron our pilot if Andre can sit in the “jumper seat” and he says that’s fine, so in the front it’s the pilot on the left and Andre on the right, then in the second row, RIGHT BEHIND THE PILOT, there’s me, Peggy and Alix and in the third row are a couple. We taxied out onto the water and it was so cool, then we took off and I couldn’t even feel it and was only able to tell we were ascending because the water started getting farther away. We had ear plugs for the ride because the engines are so loud and we didn’t fly that high which was so cool. Alix asked me to take a picture of the mountains out my window and after I did that I took a picture of the back of our pilot’s head. We got some good pictures and finally it was time to land and that was really cool too, it was hot in fact and I immediately started fantasizing that Aaron was my boyfriend and how we could jet all over Washington in our private sea plane and have romantic weekends in the San Juans. When we disembarked I tried to flirt a little, but it didn’t work, we did however get a picture with him and since I’m standing on one side of him I’m going to try to crop it to really imagine what we would look like as a couple. I asked him if he was going to be picking us up later that day, and he said no, booo! Oh well, so we walked along the dock looking at the enormous yachts and picking out the ones we wanted, then over to the restaurant for lunch. I had a lamb burger and it was very good and after that we got some ice cream and the girl gave me so much I felt sick, I never get sick from too much food! We saw the inside of the famous hotel there then sat outside in the sun by the gardens. We were trying to kill time when this taxi pulls up so Peggy asks if he can take us to the other side of the island and he said yes so off we went. It is a really beautiful place and I really enjoyed just looking at the scenery. When we got to Friday Harbor Peggy needed to get some different shoes and clothes so she took off and we just sat around. Eventually we ended up at the book store and a little café where we continued to sit and let our food digest. Alix announced she was hungry so we went to get more food and I had a couple of her onion rings but was so full I felt sick eating them. Pretty soon we found out where we were supposed to catch our plane so we headed down the “Main Dock” and found it. It was a bigger and nicer plane than the last one but I was disappointed to see that our pilot was not nearly as cute. This did not prevent me from daydreaming that Mike had the potential to be my boyfriend though, and even more so when Peggy asked if I could sit up front with him for the ride home. So there I am, sitting next to the pilot with my hands folded neatly in my lap so he doesn’t think I’m going to try any funny business in the driver’s seat and we start to cruise out where we will taxi. He guns the engines and we start going, fast, we then start to lift off the water and it was such an incredible feeling and I’m not even kidding, it was better than sex. At least the sex I’ve had, sorry boys. My mouth was on the floor and I was sitting up really straight trying to see over the front of our plane as we took off over a corner of the island, again, it was so incredible. Our flight back was shorter but I didn’t want it to end at all, I could have just sat up there all day, with the sun reflecting off the water, the beautiful scenery of the islands below, the air coming in full blast from outside so that it felt like I was riding in a convertible plane and the semi-cute pilot sitting next to me flying this amazing sea plane. I start to see Seattle in the distance and as we get closer I realize he’s going to take us RIGHT OVER SEATTLE, and he did, we flew right between the Space Needle and Downtown, and I’m not even kidding, we were so close to the buildings that if someone were sunbathing on the roof of an apartment building I would have been able to see what color their bikini was, it was amazing! I had my hand over my mouth as we flew over because I was in such shock, it was like a video game or one of those simulator rides at Disneyland, it was crazy. So then we drop down really quickly into Lake Union and again, one of the most incredible feelings as we hit the water. It was awesome. We taxi in and get off, tell Mike how amazing it was, get a picture with him then head inside past all of the cute flight personnel waiting at the door. On the way home I mentioned in conversation that I could never go on one of those planes with a boyfriend or husband or anything because I would want to sit in the front with the pilot EVERY TIME! Then Andre says that that would be possible if I just find a pilot boyfriend. I seriously need to get on that. Peggy dropped me at my car at Mom’s and I drove home, showered and got ready to go out for Susan’s birthday. I told Susan all about the adventures and that seriously that was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. We left around 7:45 and found great parking on Broadway, walked down to Everyday Music where I proceeded to buy 2 more cds I don’t need (see Kay-See, I can’t help myself!) then we walked to the Broadway Grill. We shared a virgin strawberry daiquiri, I got a delicious salad for dinner and we shared a sour cream molten chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream and it was sooo good, though we couldn’t finish it. There were cute gay boys everywhere and one that had my bangs but they looked better on him, hmpf. We walked over to QFC so I could pick up a few essentials, we saw one of Susan’s gay bfs and he’s so hot, his myspace pictures totally don’t do him justice, he’s foxy. We then drove home and saw another one crossing the street but both had to turn when he looked toward us because we were gawking. I went to bed not long after we arrived home. What a fun day!

Sunday 8/13, I woke up around 9:30 again and heard the neighbor ask Chris what had happened with the water the night before as he was hosing down the deck and he was all “Uh, I don’t know” so we all started laughing in the loft, it was funny. We all got up and at em because they wanted to go down the river again but we started discussing how Richie had been moaning and groaning in his sleep and we all were in hysterics rolling around on our air mattresses. So pretty soon we started giving each other nicknames and Richie became Barnyard Boy and was also compared to a mama bear because of his style of moaning, then Kyky said he always wanted to be Karl and I was all “Hot Karl?” and he was like “Yeah!” and us three girls all started laughing so hard, I don’t think I could breathe, so we explained what a “Hot Carl” is and then explained it to Neil too. I was shocked that I knew what it was and the gay boys didn’t. So funny, then we were going to come up with one for Neil and I shouted “Sweet Ass!” though I don’t know if that one will catch on. I certainly think it’s appropriate. Eventually they all got ready and when I stumbled out the neighbor that was snarky to me the previous night about the kids was over and apologized to me and said he didn't realize how many kids were over and that I had done the right thing. So that was nice. All the "kids" were gone by 11:30 so Kay-See and I took that opportunity to go down to the Plain Hardware and Grocery to look around and buy totally unnecessary trinkets and ice cream. We sat first outside the Plain Grocery and checked out some cute guys in a Tahoe then walked over to see the chickens and llama, then over to the porch swing at the hardware store, which was so nice and, we determined, the perfect porch swing. I’m going to get Dad right on top of making one. We leisurely drove back and I started tidying up a little bit then laid in the sun with Kay-See. All the kids came back and we relaxed for a little while longer before beginning the clean up process. Everyone pitched in and were all so helpful that it went so quickly and we were out of there right at 1:30, which is when I wanted to be out. We headed to the 59er Diner and had lunch there, Kay-See and I split a fantastic chicken sandwich. We had more laughs around the table then hit the bathrooms, said goodbye and took off over the mountain. We got stuck in traffic but it wasn’t as bad as the last time. I dropped Kay-See off and she gave me some viewing material for my personal pleasure. I went straight to Mom’s for dinner and had burgers and told them about my week earlier, then around 8:00 headed home where I got some stories from Susan and filled her in on mine. I was exhausted, needed a shower and couldn’t wait to see the pictures that Hot Karl and Billy the Pelvis got on our fantastic weekend!
Saturday 8/12, We got up around 9:30, ate some muffins and donuts (thanks Kyky!), some people showered, got our suits on and wandered outside into the SUNSHINE! The only thing I wanted to accomplish that day was laying in the sun to work on my tan, eat ice cream and eat at Gustav’s for dinner. We all walked down to the river then everyone kind of did their own thing. Kay-See, AGF and I all laid on the deck and read while the others took the tubes and their stuff down to the river. Neil and Kyky went to the Plain Grocery for some food and when they came back they said they saw a guy that was “Just Plain Hot” so that was the theme for the rest of the weekend. Very funny. It was a really relaxing morning and afternoon and got even quieter when Richie, Neil, Chris and Cory decided to take one of the rafts and the tubes down the river so the three of us hung at the place and were going to cross the river. Kyky’s sandals took off down the river however so I ran down the bank and managed to catch one of them, but the other was gone. We decided to scrap that idea and sit in the swimming hole instead but had a hard time wrangling Percival into staying with us, but managed with a game of fetch. AGF went to watch for the friends while Kay-See and I stayed in the hole and relaxed until some neighbor children came and disrupted our peace and quiet. Kyky came down and was like, “Are you kidding me?” and Kay-See shot him a look like “Tell me about it!” so finally I told them if they were going to be over there they had to get their parents and luckily that took care of them. Hee hee heee! I’m so mean. Kyky and I sat on a log by the river for a little bit with the red towel and watched the passing rafters and tried to look like we weren’t a couple so we could pick up cute guys together. I told him to just keep saying “Yeah girlfriend!” so people would know. It was really funny and just nice to sit and relax there in that beautiful setting. That might be one of the highlights of my trip, it was just so beautiful. I decided to go back up and shower so that when everyone got back I could be out of the way so we could all get ready and go to dinner. My shower felt so good and I was ready to go by the time the others got back and started getting ready. Richie told me I smelled fantastic but I pointed out that it was probably Kay-See's lotion that smelled good too, not just my freshly bathed body. I think I giggled and blushed when he said it. We set off for the Plain Grocery where some of us got some pre-dinner ice cream, I got the Chocolate Brownie Thunder and it was PHENOMENAL! Kyky, Kay-See and I all danced and sang in the car all the way to Leavenworth, especially when VENGA BOYS came on! We found parking and went to Gustav’s where we had a very short wait before being seated upstairs on the deck. It was a beautiful and perfect evening, the temperature was wonderful, the sun had just dipped behind the mountain and the company was fantastic. Everyone got their cameras out and began taking pictures and both Kay-See and AGF got really great ones, some of which I have posted on my myspace. The food was good as always and afterward we walked to the candy shop and right as I walked in Richie smacked my ass so hard, we both laughed really hard especially at his technique, he nailed it right in the middle rather than opting for one cheek or the other, he got it smack dab in the middle. Then we all headed out across the street and Richie and I began strolling arm in arm and talking about being in the “Romance Capital” of Washington and coming back in 20 years together and strolling the Strasse and how romantic it would be…for me anyway. It was really nice, we just looked at each other and laughed and smiled, so fun. Pretty soon we were on our way back to the property with Kyky driving like a bat out of hell on the windy road, it reminded me of being in high school when you’re out with your friends in the summertime and having so much fun that you never want it to end. It’s hard to explain, but it was a fantastic feeling, makes me smile right now. When we got back was another story, I felt like I was in high school but in a different way, like I’d had a party and something got broken, since that’s kind of what happened. First though I had to tell the neighbors two doors down to get their kids off of our play structure cause no one was watching them and there were like 12 of them, ack! The Dad was kind of a dick, but sorry, I don’t know what to tell you, I’m not going to be liable for your kids if they break in half or something. Anyway, ok, so we get back and all lay down on our beds and I put in Half Baked so we can all veg for a little bit then I went to get some water out of the sink upstairs and it wouldn’t turn on, neither would the shower and neither would the spigot on the deck. Shit. Richie was great and was helping me with everything and walking around trying to figure shit out, asking the neighbor, flipping breakers and reading pressure gauges. I realized that Morey wouldn’t be home for a while since I’d seen him at Gustav’s before we left. Richie insisted on going with me when I went to call Dad from the Plain Grocery and it was so cute as we both acted out simultaneously what needed to be done as Dad gave me the instructions, thank God for Dad, you know?! I assured him that everything else was fine and he told me not to worry that his explanation should fix the problem and then said “Tell Richie he’s a good guy” it was so cute, then we drive back and we had really great conversations about our Dads, carpentry and stuff, home ownership, mortgages and our friends’ relationships. I fell a little bit more in love with Richie that night. We got back and the other neighbors saw that we’d been having water problems and offered up their hose, which was very sweet so I told them if we needed to I would come back over. Richie and I went in and started fiddling with things and thought we’d gotten it back on when Kyky ran down and exclaimed “The shower just came on!” Yay! We fixed it! What a relief. So I went over to tell the neighbors and ended up talking with them for about an hour, Dick and Linda, very very nice people. By the time I got back out, the movie was over and everyone had woken back up, yes, they had all fallen asleep, minus Kyky, and were now congregating around the campfire that Richie had once again masterfully constructed. We sat out there for a long time again just talking and playing “Best and Worst” then Neil and Chris went to bed and Richie convinced us to play 4 rounds of Blink Murder or something and luckily I wasn’t the murderer in any of the rounds but Kay-See did kill me in one, but I did a bad job of dying and gave her away. Whoops. Then in the last round Richie exclaimed that he tried to kill me like 4 times but I didn’t see him, whoops. Finally all of us turned in except Richie and Cory again and I crashed out, didn’t even wake up when they came in.
Friday 8/11, Peggy let me leave even earlier than normal, at 3:00 so I went home and changed quickly then dashed up to Kirkland to pick up my tile. Mario was very chatty for once and wanted to know all about what I was doing over the weekend…it was a little weird, but I’ll just assume he was being nice and not sleazy. I then headed down to the bank to cash in some savings bonds which had all reached maturity and accrued interest, yay! I then drove across the street to Kay-See’s and proceeded to nap in my car while I waited in her underground parking garage. I was tired from the night before. When she got there we loaded my tile into her trunk and her groceries into mine then went upstairs to marinate the chicken that Kay-See had planned for dinner. I filled her in on the prior evening’s events and soon we were out the door. We hit Trader Joe’s for more camping fare then booked it over the mountains. We got there around 8:00 I think and fired up the grill right away, though neither of us really had any idea what we were doing with the charcoal grill and resorted to reading the directions and asking the hot-neighbor dad. My solution was to keep squirting lighter fluid on the coals whenever they started to go out. Kay-See couldn’t even see me doing it but I could tell by her laughter that she knew exactly when I was giving the coals another good soaking. Soon we got the food all kebob-d up and on but it was getting dark and I couldn’t find a flashlight so I dug one out of my trunk and we used that for our preparation. We had gotten some chairs and tables out and tried to light the tiki torches but other than that it was pretty scattered. AGF, Richie and Cory showed up and said Neil and Chris would be coming this evening after all so we were going to be a full house. We ate all the food up and eventually Kay-See and Richie left to drive and look for Neil and Chris, they all made it and we began our preparation of the campfire. Richie and I took a walk down to the water with the flashlight to look for kindling and found some in the other fire pit and were like “This is some good shit, let’s get it all!” and just laughed the whole time. It makes me happy to think how much fun we were having just picking up sticks and logs in the pitch black and avoiding getting spiders on the twigs we were getting. We finally stumbled back up and Richie began constructing one of his masterful creations. We all sat around the campfire talking and laughing for a long time, I was the only one that got asked a truth or dare for the whole weekend and I later made a joke that we should all try to fulfill my question before the end of the weekend, I’m pretty sure no one did though…Anyway, all of us finally went up around 1:00 or so except Richie and Cory and snuggled into bed. I slept perfectly except for Kay-See’s alarm going off at 5:30 or whatever :)

Thursday 8/10, I had to go to the store to get eggs then home where I relaxed for a while then showered and made a batch of lemon poppy seed muffins. Susan and I watched the Wheel then House Hunters and eventually both made it upstairs to get ready for the night’s events. I talked to Kay-See about our plans then I called Nic (he’d called me earlier in the day while I was at work) and he said he had to call me back, so around 9:30 he did and we chatted for quite awhile. He sounds good and we’ll have to catch up more because he had to rush and get off the phone cause his mom was calling. We were both ready by 10:30 and took separate cars in because I would most likely leave early. I had hopes of seeing both Eric and Andy this evening but didn’t think either one was very likely. I got rock star parking right across from the Egyptian and Susan and I went in. We got a big hug from the bouncer then the new guy was all “left wrist sweetheart” so that made me giggle a little. Travers said Christine runs the Neighbours profile and no wonder I was on the “Top 8” all the time. Hmm. He was also sad that we hadn’t come to the Leo party, next year I think. We went in and started dancing right away but before too long I realized I had forgotten my gum and Susan hadn’t worn any deodorant so we took a field trip to the store then to my car to get all sorted out. We went back in and I smiled at the new bouncer, I’ll have to get his M.O. next time I go. We saw my Spandex bf (Tye) who I haven’t seen FOREVER so I got a big hug from him and before too long I saw Kyle and would sing to him from across the dance floor. The slippery floor was back and this girl with a wand and cowgirl boots totally bit it right on her ass, ouch. Soon I spotted Damon and S and tried to keep tabs on both for Susan. The songs were decent that Von Trapp was playing and it got really fun when we were dancing with Kyle and when Damon came over and danced with us. I told him about Eric and he told me that what I did was classy, little did he know I would be proving just how not-classy I could be a little later on. Finally at some point I looked up and saw the friend who had touched Susan on the head the week before and standing right next to him was Eric. Gasp! I told Susan who started looking but every time I looked up there he wasn’t looking down or trying to make eye contact and him and his friend seemed to be in a heated discussion. I figured he just didn’t want to talk to me or have anything to do with me, or by some miracle of nature, hadn’t even seen me at this point. Pretty soon they’re gone from upstairs and I see them over at the tables against the wall, still apparently avoiding my presence. Finally they make their way onto the dance floor but were staying close to each other and on the other side away from where we were at. Von Trapp announced last call and they bolted along with Damon and Susan so I told her I was going to do a lap and see if I could spot him. On the way past the main bar someone grabbed me and I turned around and it was Kyle telling me thanks for the comments and messages then he bent down and mock-bit my boob, so I looked at him surprisingly then he leaned in and bit my neck. It was kind of hot. I told him I was on the hunt for a boy and was on my way. I spotted him but he was next to a girl and with some other people so I went back and found Susan and did another lap but spotted them on the floor again so I went and stood where S usually lurks and watched from there. His friend kept making eye contact but Eric wouldn’t even glance in my direction. Finally after Susan had talked to Brett and come back I asked if I should just go over and say hi, she said yes, so I was on my way, past the friend and onto him. He looked all weird when I went up to him, conflicted could be a good word, so I said hi and we talked for a little bit. Apparently him and his gf broke up then he told me he thought about me all week and his friend agreed to go with him for moral support and the whole time they’d been upstairs they’d been talking about me and approaching me on the floor. I was a little taken aback. He did say many nice things, especially about my smile and how he couldn’t get it out of his head, so part of me still isn’t sure about the whole gf thing, but we’re just talking so I figure it’s harmless. He pointed to Susan and was like “Your roommate's hooking up” so I turned around and was like “Oh yeah!”, that Damon’s hot. I told him I needed to go but we just kept talking and eventually started dancing while we talked and I found out some vital stats: He’s 23, lives in Ballard, originally from Kentucky (no accent), has lived here a year, works in a restaurant with the rest of the guys he was there with (the friend is gay and SO fun!). Eventually we talked about his gf situation a little and I guess I allowed myself to get sucked in because soon we were really getting down and eventually started kissing, and let me just say that it was good. He kept insisting that I stay one more song and I did because good songs kept coming on and his friend kept coming over and putting his arms around us and singing to the songs (I was singing back to him too) so I decided I like his friend because he’s cute and fun and knows the words to fun 80’s songs. When the Violent Femmes came on I decided that was my cue to leave and told him that I hoped to see him again and he said he really hoped so too, then I asked him if he wanted my number and he was all “You have no idea how badly I want you to give me your number, but I wasn’t going to ASK” so I said why not, I’d like it if a cute guy actually asked for my number so he goes “Hey, can I get your number?” and I was like “Ok!”, though I didn’t have anything to write with so I told him if he walked me to my car then I could write it down out there. He said he would be happy to do that, but first I had to find Susan to tell her I was going home but didn’t see her, so Eric suggested going upstairs, which he then informed me that he’d only been up there twice and once was to watch me. Ha, anyway so then Eric’s eagle eye spotted her so I rushed down and told her and she was all “Behave!”. So we start going out and the bouncer grabs me and is like “You going home baby?” so I said yes that it was WAY past my bedtime and that I’d be back in the next couple of weeks then he pulls me real close (as he’s been eyeing Eric, who’s standing mere feet away waiting for me) and says “You’re so sexy” so I poked him in the chest and said “Behave yourself!” and he goes “I know, but you are, I just had to tell you” so I say thanks and that I’ll see him later, then Eric and I were off to my car. We ended up standing there talking forever and eventually making out right there on Pine at 2:30 in the morning. I gave him my number and he told me he didn’t know what to do because he doesn’t even know me but he’s got it “real bad”. I thought it was sweet and somewhat charming. I kept saying I needed to go, but we’d just end up making out again, finally there was a lull and Susan comes out of the alley as we’re standing there and yells, “Go home Karrah Brie!” so I say I know and that I’m leaving. I say bye to Eric and tell him he should call me and he says if he doesn’t that I should come by his work and he’ll “hook it up”. The whole night he made me laugh with his ridiculous mocking of people pushing their way through the crowd and his dancing. I had a great time. So Susan called me on the way home and we discussed then we got home discussed a little more and went to bed. It was waaay too late. But my spirits have been lifted considerably.
Wednesday 8/9, I went for my big walk because I had nothing else to do and also because I needed to! I ate my leftovers then Susan and I watched Proof and it was decent, Jake Gyllenhaal is so fricken hot I can’t stand it. After that we both headed to our rooms for the rest of the night.
Tuesday 8/8, I did some very light grocery shopping after work then headed home, changed very quickly and headed out the door to go meet Susan at her job. I found it fine and met Joan on the way in and saw where Susan works and spends all of her time away from home. We carpooled together down to Anthony’s in Kirkland and got street parking right by Anthony’s. We went in and got seated and I spotted many cute waiters / busboys and decided to turn on the charm for them. Unfortunately it didn’t produce any results except one of the busboys spilling the water out of my glass all over the table. Oh well. Dinner was really good and dessert (burnt cream, crème?) was delicious but I couldn’t finish it all. Her boss and coworker are very funny and we had a fun time being catty. We headed back to her office after dinner so I could pick up my car and headed home. It was about 8:00 at that point. When we got there Susan folded some makeshift wrapping paper around my birthday gift and presented it to me, get ready for it, it’s the PIRATE PORN that I had been eyeing at TiB (ok, and online, I watched the trailer). I was dying it was so funny and we thoroughly examined the inside packaging. I didn’t watch any of it, but it won’t be long I’m sure. I played on my computer and talked to Kay-See about Andy and weekend plans for the rest of the night.

The conclusion of birthday adventures
Monday 8/7, I got up around 8:30, went on my short walk, showered, got ready, went to get my oil changed then called Mom because I was in her neighborhood. She gave me a tour of her office and we chatted for a while until it was time for her to take an early lunch. We went to Tutta Bella to have pizza for lunch and it was all very good then we went back to the office and I was on my way to the tile place in Kirkland to place my order. I took care of that and will pick it up on Friday or Monday. Then I went to the park again to lay out and read some more. I stayed there for a little over an hour then headed back home where I put on 8 Women for a nice afternoon foreign film screening. Later that evening Zach called and I talked to him for a good hour and a half then Susan and I watched Cash in the Attic and hung in our rooms. I went to bed around 11:30 after reading a magazine and some of my book.
Sunday 8/6, Unfortunately I woke up at 9, which means I only got, at best 4.5 hours of sleep. I knew this would not be enough for me to make it through the day. I decided to eat some breakfast and put a movie on because I knew that combination would knock me right back into sleep mode. And boy did it ever. I woke up just before 1:00. 1:00! I NEVER sleep that late. After glancing at the clock I jumped out of bed and into the shower. Even if I was only going to the park to lay in the sun, I was determined to not be staying in bed all day. I had a little bit of my leftover omelet, packed my “sunning” bag and set off for the Bellevue Downtown Park. By the time I got to the park it was 2:00 and I had decided that I would call Andy around 3:00 so I had an hour to read, make other phone calls and soak up the sun. The Blue Angels kept flying overhead so at least I got to see a bit of the show. I called Aubs first and left a message, then I called Mom and talked with her about my birthday and Andy for a little bit, then Dad for just a second because they were going to take Aubrie to cheer. I read until a little after 3:00 (I decided I didn’t want to call right at 3:00, but instead at 3:12 as that would look less planned than 3:00 right on the button). I started working out what I was going to say if it went to voicemail (literally practicing, out loud, at the park) and what I would say if he picked up. I was hoping for the former. Well guess what, it was the later. He picked up and I didn’t even recognize his voice, so I was all “Um, Andy?” and he was like (low rumbly voice) “Yeah?” Oh, hey! This is Karrah, blah blah blah. I basically told him that Susan and I had left a little earlier the previous evening and hoped that I hadn’t missed him (there’s a little truth in that as we had left 15 minutes before closing time) and also that it was good seeing him. He said Naw, he didn’t even get out of work until 4:15 and was back on his way to work at the moment (Almost 3:30 at this point. Shut up, I had a lot of rehearsing to do). I told him I was laying out in the sun at the park and just thought I would say hi. I kept kind of trying to end it so that it wouldn’t feel strained but he kind of kept the conversation going which I’ll take as a good sign. He said that they’ve been crazy busy and as I could see last night he’d had his hands full. Then he said that they’d promoted him to some semi-managerial position because of his “silver tongue” but I had to ask him to repeat what he said because he’s hard to understand on the phone (that deep phone voice and all) and when he said it again, I thought, well that sounds promising - maybe it has to do with his tongue ring. He set me straight though, and he said it means that he’s good at talking people into leaving rather than having to physically make them leave. Neighbours was a good place to learn how to do that he said, because you have to deal with every kind of person there. It was a decent conversation and at the end I told him that if he ever wants to hang out to give me a call, and he said “I’d like that” which I responded to with “Well, I’d like that too” then he said again, "I’d really like that" and wished me another belated happy birthday and I told him to have fun at work and we hung up. I then packed up my bag because I’d had enough sun and was ready to watch a movie at home and relax. I told Susan about my phone call when I got home and then watched Closer and practically fell asleep again. Shame on me. I ate some leftover chicken, talked to Aubrie about Andy forever and some other plans we’ve got in the works and pretty much hung out in my room alone after Susan left.
Saturday 8/5, My Birthday. Susan and I woke up early to go get breakfast and to go to the tile place. We went to the Original Pancake House in Kirkland which was very good as always (I got an enormous veggie omelet) then headed over to the tile place where the guy let me take home the tile board to make sure it was the color and style I wanted. Next we went over to Costco home where I showed Susan the couch I want and she tried to convince me to buy it right then, but I needed to figure out how much the tile was going to cost me first. We went home where I showered and relaxed until Dale the tile guy came at 2:00. He was a little quirky but he’s been doing this a long time so I’m not worried. He quoted $450 for the work and an extra $200 to seal it, on top of that my tile cost me $380, so it looks like I won’t be buying that couch this month. Oh well, at least my kitchen will almost be done then. It’s only taken TWO YEARS! After he left I went over to Mom’s to help prep for my b-day party where I mostly chopped and diced tomatoes, onions and garlic. Willie called me from W. Seattle so I told him to come over and I got a very nice hug from him when he got there and we sat and chatted while I continued cutting. He called me OCD (and asked me if I wanted a ruler when I was cutting bread) but I told him I wasn’t as OCD as Kay-See is. He helped peel garlic and we talked about all sorts of things while keeping me company. After we were done prepping we went into the living room and continued talking until Grandma and Grandpa got there then Willie said he had to go so I walked him out to his car and got a second very nice hug from him. I’m telling you, those arms, mmmm. Ha, so anyway then Susan showed up, then Kay-See and lastly Jason. We had dinner and it was very good, though I wasn’t as thrilled with the pear cake, but that didn’t stop me from eating my whole piece. We sat around and talked and we heard this plane flying around outside forever so we looked and it had fireworks shooting off of the wings, which was really cool. Dad got the binoculars and we each took a turn to look. After that all of these police boats had their lights going and we wondered what was going on, then an awesome fireworks show started. Susan joked that she set it up especially for my birthday. It went on for quite a while and finally around 10:30 or something we all decided to call it a night. Us girls were going to go out dancing but Kay-See had to work early in the morning so it was just Susan and me. We went back to the house and got ready quickly and headed down to Pioneer Square to go see Andy. I was so nervous and I didn’t really know why, but my stomach had crazy butterflies. We got a spot really close and began our long wait in line. The bouncers kept letting in these bachelorette parties instead of the people who were actually waiting in line. Andy came and took his turn working the exit door so I took that opportunity to go up and talk to him and get a hug. I told him it was my birthday and he wished me a happy birthday a couple of times, then said real hot-like “You’re looking good as always” so I told him he was sweet as always. I told him we’d been waiting in line forever and he asked if we were still going to go in or if we were just going to head up to Neighbours. Which now makes me think that maybe he totally knows that I just go there to see him and at that point because I’d seen and talked to him, he assumed I would just be on my way. Hmm, I'm guessing yes…Anyway, I told him he should go up to Neighbours after he got off work but he told me the problem is that he doesn’t get off until 3:00 or 3:30 but I told him he should come up anyway. So, back in line there was a group of guys (a stag party or something) in front of us and one of the guys was cute and asked us if there was an ATM inside but we didn’t know, then he asked if we wanted some gum. Susan called him an idiot (not to his face) but I thought he was cute. Finally that large group of guys got to go in and right as the bouncer was going to put the rope in front of us the guy turned around and was like, “Oh they’re with us too” so he moved the rope, I told the bouncer it was my birthday then Susan said something like “We have the same birthday” or “Remember me?” or something and he was all “Oh I remember you!” it was funny! We go in and totally didn’t get stamped because we cruised right by and headed straight to the bathroom (saw Andy on the way and he told me good luck). Then we went back to watch people fall off the bull, my fav thing to do there (well besides the obvious). There were some good ones. Finally we decided to go and that I needed to flag down Andy, so he comes by but I couldn’t do it, so I told Susan the next time he did his rounds. He comes back and I told him we were going to take off but that he should def come up to Neighbours and that if he was for sure going to go I’d wait around so he said that he probably would and then he goes “Well give me a call, you’ve got my number right?” I said “No I don’t have your number, I gave you mine!” so he goes “Don’t go anywhere, I’ll be right back”. So he comes back and walks right by me, so I turn and look at him over my shoulder, because he’s behind me, with a slight scowl on my face and he kind of falls over and puts his hand over his face and is like “Ack, I forgot, I’ll be right back” so I laugh and wonder if he’s going to give me a fake number and had hoped I had gone away by the time he returned. No chance Andy. So we’re still waiting and then I see him and two other bouncers pushing this guy through the club and out the door, so obviously he didn’t give me his number on that round either. Finally he comes back and kind of sneaks up on me and reaches around and hands me a matchbook and gets real close to my ear and says “It’s written on the inside cover, I know it’s kind of cheesy, in a matchbook...” and smiles then says “So call me”, I say ok then basically follow him out because he’s taking his turn at the door, one more time I tell him I hope to see him up on the hill and he wishes me a happy birthday again and we’re off. We sat in the car for a minute while I tried to decode Andy’s chicken scratch handwriting while I giggled with excitement. We got up to Capitol Hill and I parallel parked in our new fav place and headed in. Got a hug from the bouncer and Travers tried to steal my credit card, and we were in. We danced FOREVER and some gay guy stuck his hand down Susan’s shirt and asked if we were lovers and she replied with “Of course!” We proceeded to get hit on by every Latino man in the joint which thoroughly irritated Susan but didn’t bother me too much because it’s just what I expect. We didn’t see any of our regulars but danced forever and had fun anyway. We took a break to walk to my car to get Andy's number in case I needed to call him and I asked the grope-y bouncer how to come back in so he told me we could come in by him, so when we went back in we got the special treatment and the new cute bouncer checked my wrist when we went by. We continued dancing for what felt like forever. By 3:45 we decided to leave because I doubted that Andy would be showing up, but not before we had a chance to dance to a Scissor Sisters remix. I don’t even really remember leaving the club but on the way to the car Susan devised a plan to call Andy, not at that time, but the next day. I didn’t get to bed until 4:30.
Friday 8/4, Andre and I went over to Mom’s to watch the Blue Angels then went back to the office and I was out of there by 3:30. I didn’t go on my walk and felt guilty for it, but sometimes that happens. When Susan got home I asked her if she wanted to go to the mall and to the Warehouse so around 7:30 we took off in order to redeem our “free panty” at Victoria’s Secret and I also got a new bra because I had a $10 off coupon. Well happy birthday to me!
Thursday 8/3, Let the birthday festivities begin apparently. Ok, first things first, I got home from work and did my long walk then showered and stayed in my room until dinner time. I didn’t really want to go dancing but I knew Susan did and I knew it would be good for me to get out so I was in it to win it. I started getting ready around 9:30 and we decided to leave at 10:30. Susan drove and impressed me once again with her parallel parking skills. We walked to Neighbours and there was a new guy checking ids (kind of cute) and the main creepy bouncer was stamping wrists and was being all handsy as he put my stamp on. We flirt with him nevertheless because it’s always good to be “in” with the bouncers. So we go in and start dancing right away to Love Shack then go upstairs and check out the crowd. There wasn’t much going on upstairs so we went back down and danced. The floor had some mystery substance on it that made it super slippery so I was gliding around on it all night, at first it weirded me out but then I got used to it. Ok, now for the good stuff. We decide to get some “fresh” air and check out the boys in the line outside, I did notice this group of people that would later become very important in our night’s events, but we mostly didn’t notice anyone very special so we went back in. The new id checker had to let us in through the rope and the regular bouncer like grabbed both Susan and I as we went passed him and he really held onto me around my waist so we laughed then hit the bathroom. Soon Susan and I are dancing by the main catwalk and all of a sudden someone puts their arms around my waist and starts humping my butt. Instantly I think it must be Richie because I can tell they’re tall, given the pelvis to ass ratio, unfortunately I find out a few seconds later that it is not Richie, or anyone that I know for that matter, but is that creepy guy “Jeff” (Actual name Jeremy, but we always called him Jeff as he had introduced himself to us and invited himself to sit and chat with us on other occasions, but could never remember his real name. We hate him.). So when he comes around to the front of me and tried to keep dancing I pushed him away and was like “Yuck, get away from me” then he starts saying something but I can’t remember and is like “Come on, it’s fun right?” so I said “Oh, yeah sure, if fun is having someone totally and inappropriately invade your personal space” then he said I was in a bubble so I told him that having a complete stranger hump my ass is not my idea of fun and that I had initially thought it was someone I knew because NO ONE humps someone else’s ass unless invited to do so or they know the person. Neither of these were the case. Yuck, so then Susan grabs my hand and is like “Bye bye” and he’s all “Wow, she’s rude!” and I said, “Don’t mess with her” then he says that he’s not going to mess with her but that she’s just rude. I shrugged then he says, “I’m sorry you have to be here with such a rude person” then I replied “Well, I’m really ok with it” then Susan shooed him away again and he finally left. That guy grosses me out. Then it starts to get really good. So these two gay guys are dancing by us forever and I keep kind of glancing over and one or the other would always be looking at me and like smiling, so I’d give a half-nervous smile back like, ok, you’re staring at me, a little weird, but you’re gay so I guess it’s fine. Then the shorter one leans over to me and is like “I’m sorry but my friend and I think you girls are the hottest girls here, we love watching you dance” so I was very flattered and said thank you then he goes on to say that if they were straight they’d totally be trying to get with us and that they’d seen what stupid Jeremy had done and that the straights that go there can be really creepy sometimes. I agree with him and we chat some more then he asks if he can dance with me so I’m like, um, ok, so HE starts humping my ass except he’s short so it’s more like the backs of my thighs and I’m laughing so hard just looking at Susan. It was so funny, I think he really wanted a piece of me because he was going to town for a while. Pretty soon they were like, well it was nice dancing with you guys but we’re going to go over there now, so we kissed on the cheek and that was the last I saw of them for the night. Meanwhile Derek had shown up and was lurking around, I had already acknowledged him with a smile and head nod, but I knew that wouldn’t be good enough for our weird friend Derek. So not too long after the gays left one of the two guys I thought were gay and dancing right next to us reached over and grabbed / touched Susan’s head, she said hi so I figured she must know him (these were the guys in line outside I had eyed earlier on our break). When the time was right I inquired and she said she didn’t know either of them, hmm, interesting. So then the friend, who was wearing a button up kind of plaid shirt and who was VERY cute, kind of makes eye contact and starts kind of dancing by / with us. I just figure it’s another gay trying to get in on the Susan / Karrah action so I’m dancing with him and pretty soon he’s got me pinned against one of the mirrored pillars and is like grinding on me and going “real low” with his head by my crotch. I am very confused at this point, I thought he was gay but he keeps coming in REALLY close like he’s going to start kissing me, but I’m backing off and trying to move my face so that that’s not happening. Susan has moved over to my other side and I glanced at her, so she leans in and asks if I need saving, but I tell her I’m conflicted because he’s really really cute and humping me, but I’m also not the girl who makes out at the clubs. So she told me to let her know and then homeboy asks if she was my guardian angel, so I said, um, kind of. He asked me if I was going to be there for a while and I looked at my watch (it was almost my "going home" time: 12:45) and said probably not then he told me that he was going to dance with me until I left. Um ok. Then a little bit later he looked all conflicted and kept backing off but then coming back in like he was going to kiss me, then he steps back and goes, out of nowhere “I’m confused, I don’t know” so I’m like, “I’M confused, I just don’t know” cause if he’s straight why isn’t he kissing me when our lips are practically touching anyway? Then I introduced myself and his name is Eric and he grabs my hand and pulls me out to the middle of the dance floor and we start dancing again. I’m totally laughing on and off because I feel so awkward half the time but then I’m also like totally turned on at the same time, like this guy’s hot and I’m dirty dancing with him and he’s running his hands up and down by body and totally touching my boobs! I look over and there’s Kyle really dirty dancing with this guy so I’m like “KYLE!” and give him a hug and he tells me that I look so good, which again was an ego boost, and Eric had backed off and was like, is that your friend? Well yeah, I just hugged him didn’t I? So we go back to dancing and he offered to buy me a drink but I told him why I didn’t need one, then he was like “Don’t drink, I don’t know about that” so I just smiled and shrugged. He was clearly drunk or on something but I didn’t care, especially when he unbuttoned his shirt and exposed a skull with wings tattoo on his chest. We kept almost / slightly kissing because we would be all close then his lips would brush against mine but he kept pulling back or turning and getting his sweat all over my face, then finally our tongues touched but that’s it and kept dancing. I felt someone totally grope my ass and turned around and both Susan and Kyle were laughing, then Derek came up and introduced me to his friend, but she was only a friend, so moments after he came up he was all over me with his hands going up and down my side and one hand on my face as he talked to me, yikes, he was really drunk and I was trying to get away from him because Eric was now like 2 people away and I didn’t want Derek trying to make out with me, so finally he went packing and I managed to get back with Eric and dancing again. He then told me that he had to go so I was like “Bye! Peace” and he looked all sad and misunderstood and was all “It’s not like that, I’ve got prior engagements” and I was like, it’s no big deal, bye. But he was lingering and the Breakfast Club song was on and it came to the “I said la, la la la laaa” part and I started singing it with my back to him but looking over my shoulder at him real sassy-like and shimmy-ing against him and he’s like, ok, never mind I’m not going anywhere. Then the guy Kyle’s dancing with is like, “You’re so hot!” so I ran my finger down his chest and was like “Thank you” then he asked is that your boyfriend, plenty loud so that Eric heard and I was like, nonchalantly, “No” and he laughed so hard. It was funny. Like, “Ain't no thang”. Pretty soon we were brushing lips again but not making out so it finally dawned on me, he’s probably got a girlfriend or boyfriend (there was some very ambiguous behavior happening with his friends, which is why I’d thought he was gay in the first place), so I ask him if he’s got a gf and he nods yes, so I reprimand him with a stern “Shame on you!” while poking him in his chest. He was like, I didn’t do anything wrong and I just looked at him like, um, yes, your tongue touched mine and if I had a bf I would be livid if he did that with some girl, plus he told me that he really wanted to make out but that he just couldn’t. Well duh. Anyway, I was like, I’m going to go and he said ok and he kissed my hand and I went and found Susan. We were like “Let’s blow this popsicle stand” and when we were out of earshot she was like “Spill!” so on our way out we both got gropey hugs from the bouncer and saw Kyle outside with some friends and Susan was like “Karrah’s a dirty whore!” which she had been telling people all night and I thought was hilarious. Kyle told me he loved my shoes and announced to everyone that he had stuck his hand in my butt crack to which I said “No you didn’t, I’m wearing jeans, that’s impossible!” and he goes, “I know” and we all just chit chatted for a few minutes then Susan and I both got to take turns spanking him. There were more hugs and then I spilled most of what happened to Susan on the way to the car. I knew I would have trouble sleeping so I read for a little while then went to sleep, probably around 2:30. It was the best night I've had at Neighbours in a LONG time. So fun and totally made my week.
